After spending a couple of days downloading almost every good Xbox Live Arcade game trial, I came to the conclusion that most of the games there suck...big time! I always saw users posting it, but I never believed them because I had a few of the good ones. However once those are over, everything else is crap!
I purchased 12,000 MS points and had a very hard time finding games to unlock. I ended up unlocking only Catan and Ikaruga (for now). I spent most of the points downloading game content for several games. Since I got Oblivion a little while ago, I downloaded all the game content for the game, including Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine
It's times like these that makes me want to get a Wii for the Virtual Console
I meant to post this some time ago, but I was pre-occupied with GTA IV and Oblivion.
Firstly because I could not find a copy of Oblivion in any stores so I had to order my copy. It was ordered since January of this year and it finally arrived some days ago.
I crossed by 10000 achievements points on my Xbox Live account! I crossed it with Dark Sector's Nemesis Achievement which was worth 85G. A great accomplishment for me judging that I had a Xbox 360 for about 5 months now.
I also scored my first 1000/1000 in Lost: Via Domas (which had the easiest achievements I came across so far) and second on Viva Pinata. Now contrary to what others may say, the achievements in Viva Pinata were not very easy to get. You can score between 600 to 700 achievements points just by playing the game normally. The rest takes a lot of effort...especially the 50 hr. achievement!
NB: I still think that GTA IV doesn't deserve a 10. I have put somewhere about 10 hrs into the game and the glitches just keep coming!
I managed to snag a copy of GTA IV yesterday. I was actually surprised to see it down here so early and it did cost me a bundle.
I would have blogged about this yesterday, but I was busy, playing the game of course. ![]()
I like to hold off all my critic until I finish a game, but from the problems I encountered with the game so far (and I haven't really invested that much time into it) it doesn't deserve a 10.0 score. ![]()
Well I signed into Xbox Live today and not too much to my surprise, almost 90% of the users on my friend list was playing GTA IV. So what did I do?...I disconnected and decided to play something else to try to pass the time.
I have to wait a few more days before the game crosses the ocean and I can get a copy. I'll probaby have to pay an arm and a leg for it but I'm sure the game will be worth it!
Yesterday GameSpot rated GTA IV as a 9.5 on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Just the score was visible, but no review. Shortly after the score was taken down. I was on System, Wars at the time and the board literally exploded (well not literally, but you get my point). Much to my surprise, and I'm sure hundreds here on GameSpot, the score was re-posted and the review went up giving GTA IV got a perfect 10.0 score.
Grand Theft Auto IV has been added to the pantheon of perfection and will join Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Chrono Cross, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and Soul Calibur as the best of the best on GameSpot.
Positive re-enforcement really works
...let's see if Metal Gear Solid 4 gets a 10.0 ![]()
GTA IV is only a few days away from release and GameSpot has yet to do their review. Predict the score you think GS would GTA IV.
Now I never liked IGN to begin with and I hate mentioning them but their review went up today and it did manage to get a perfect score there 10/10.
I believe the days of games getting a perfect score on GameSpot are over so GTA IV will most likely get 9.5.
I've always been hearing things about Bleach on GameSpot forums and friends. Everything I heard were good things. Now I don't like anime anymore. The one and only anime series I ever followed fully was Samurai X and I own the entire series on DVD...After Samurai X, my intrest in anime just died with the conclusion of the series because I found all other anime series afterwards poor, lacking and very immature.
I went shopping a few days ago (I love to shop
) and managed to come across Bleach vol 1 and vol 2 for DVD. I hesitated a bit but with some encouragement from friends I made the purchase.
I only decided to look at the DVDs yesterday because I came from work early and my internet was down. I have to admit, while I wasn't blown away with the episodes I saw, I was sucked into the series. The 2 DVD contained the first 8 episodes and were actually really good. I heard that Bleach is aired on Cartoon Network and I find it very hard to believe because of the amount of violence and blood I saw.
There is no way I can see myself becoming a fanatic, but the Bleach is actually quite a decent anime.
