SoraX64's Blog

Welcome to my blog...I hope you have a good time!

*NO NUDITY*

  • 29Nov 09

Well, I'm back from my break starting tomorrow.

It's nice to be back for real!

  • 25Nov 09

I'm taking a break. I have a few things I need to sort out, and I have to get away to do that. So, for the rest of the week, I won't be around much. I'll still be checking on LoN at least once a day, but other than that I'll be gone until either Sunday or Monday. I'm sorry for being so sudden with this, but I need to do it. I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, but you're going to have to deal with it.

A couple of things to say before I leave:

@kjhg53: I'll be putting you as leader until I get back.
@Cloud_765 and the rest of AON: My Hot Seat can either be locked now or left open for questions until I get back. Once the time for it is over, you could just un-sticky it and I can answer the questions that were left. It would probably be better to lock it now though.

Well... I think that's all. The only places I'll be seen until Sunday or Monday will be LoN or possibly The Foreign Grounds, but then again, most people don't go there. And I won't be around much, so anybody who thinks I'm just skipping out on other duties or other unions, you're wrong. I just put LoN before any other union I'm in and since I'm the leader I have to keep an eye on it.

Thanks for reading guys and gals, I'll see you in a few days.

    *drum roll*

    1.)Darth-Caedus
    Level 31- Ippon! (92%)

    The Shredder's Union

The big uno. I first met Darth around OT, not too long after I started becoming active. The thing I remember most about him from before I knew him was this huge ass list of bands he would post every time someone asked for a music recommendation. I'd look through a music thread just looking for the red wall of death. More than once when I was talking about what I liked to listen to, he poked some fun at me (KoRn heh heh, Slipknot, heh heh) and told me to listen to some metal. Well, for a while I just ignored it thinking "Hey, jerk, shut up!" but then I decided to actually give it a try. So I took the list he had, and picked a few bands off of it. At first, I thought it wasn't anything. The first few bands I tried weren't that great, in my opinion. And then I decided to look up Children of Bodom. The effect was instant. I had a new favorite band! Less than a year later, the way I look at music is completely changed. I enjoy music so much more now. My entire image pretty much changed. Before, I would think I was cool and hardcore because I listened to Slipknot as loud as I could put it. Then I started to see how wrong I was as I learned more about metal. I grew out my hair, started wearing band shirts all the time, and even started to learn how to play the guitar. I even made more friends; No longer was I this no name who didn't stand out at all. I learned where I could fit in, and I'm friends with many great people now that I wasn't before. It also feels good to be able to tell someone to listen to a really obscure band from Sweden or Germany. This is the reason I look up to Darth the most; He is like a metal encyclopedia. He helped me get into the music I love most, and he indirectly made my life better. I'm sure that sounds pretty weird, but hey, I guess you can get inspiration from some weird places.

And there you have it! The end. The honorable mentions blog will be up by Sunday, and I'll do the tag blog some time after that. Thanks everyone!

    Cloud.jpg picture by Sora_X
    4.)Cloud_765
    Level 26- Cyber Lip (59%)

All-Out Nintendo, GameSpot Statistics Database, SonicSpot, The Nintendo DS RPG Union, The Guide and Discussion Union, Nintendo Dream, The Ultimate Union for UCBs and Unions, Totally Awesome Pokemon

I had only heard of Cloud at first. kjhg53, one of the current officers and co-founders of Legend of Nintendo, was part of the All-Out Nintendo, as an officer at the time. I had heard that AON was an incredibly successful union, but I never got around to joining it for a while. Cloud came to LoN one day when he heard that we had a 3k view day. That later caused me to join AON, which I now am an officer at. I really look up to Cloud because he is a great leader, as shown by his immense success with AON. I've gone to him for help more than once. He also got me a little into stats, around the time I was approaching 10k posts. I like to pay attention to those things now, and it's made me a more active member of GameSpot. We've also had a few somewhat personal conversations, and I feel like if I needed to talk to someone unbiased I could go to him, as well as he could come to me if he ever needs help.

    raitei_2.gif image by Sora_X
    3.)Nicaboy456
    Level 41- Thunder Force (78%)

The Major League Baseball Union, The Toonami Union, The Gotei 13

Nica was another person I met through the Toonami Union (damn it, I need to make it a habit to go there more!). When I first joined the TU I made a thread about Maburaho, an anime that I had recently watched. I was asking if there should be a second season to it. In that thread, I got into a conversation with Nica and it went from there. I look up to Nica because he has an extensive knowledge of both anime and manga, and he is a cool person. I've gotten recommendations from him, and talked with him a lot about different titles that I've enjoyed. He is also the only person I know who also enjoys "My Balls" and "Futari Ecchi". Which is a huge plus.

    Kj.jpg picture by Sora_X
    2.)kjhg53
    Level 29- Radiant Silvergun (88%)

Legend of Nintendo, The Crious Gamers Union, All-Out Nintendo, The Blue Bomber Battalion, Sega Zone, The Digi-Destined Base, Tri-Fusion

Kj's been around since the start of my active time on GS. He was one of the most active posters in the original Pokemon threads on the Platinum boards, and still is part of what that was (in the form of LoN). He's mature, which is something I respect. I can rely on him to take my place as leader of LoN if that ever needs to happen, and I can be sure the union would be in good hands. He also is very funny, and pretty weird, so in other words, he's like me. He's a great help at LoN, and I don't think I could do the job without him there (or any of the other officers, for that matter)

There you have it, only one more to go!After number one, I'll have an honorable mentions blog and then I have my tag blog to make. Expect number one some time this weekend.

    MotD.jpg picture by Sora_X
    7.)mastetofthedark
    Level 30- Wicked Sick! (80%)

The Signature and Tag Making Team, GFXplosion, The Mario Kart Club, Designers in Training, Ultimate Design union

I'm going to look like a stalker with this one. I first saw MotD around the forums somewhere and I loved his sig. I was envious of his talents and hoped to have him make me something someday. The biggest problem was that I didn't know how I was going to actually meet him. But then I joined the All-Out Nintendo union, which he was an officer in. He was the one who encouraged me to catch up to him in posts (which I did. ) and to get to 10k (which I did. ). His designing works also caused me to download GIMP, which I use to this day.

    Sin.jpg picture by Sora_X
    6.)sinistra45
    Level 30- Wicked Sick! (66%)

The Toonami Union, The Everything Old School Union

I met Sin through the Toonami Union, namely through Dimension Wars: Last Force Standing. He approached me and a few other people and we worked together for a while. I was struck by his leadership skills. He knew how to keep us all in while still keeping himself in the position to win at any time. I was honored to work with him, and I was hoping I might have ended up on his team for Dim Wars IV. He is a really cool guy, and could kick my ass in any form of debate. (not that I'd want to try it. ).

    Duder.jpg picture by Sora_X
    5.)Dudersaper
    Level 29- Radiant Silvergun (50%)

Ultimate Design union, All-Out Nintendo, EnVision Group, Music Is Life Union, Mass Designer's Lounge

I first met Duder on OT. I knew right away that he was a cool guy because he liked KoRn. He was the first person I found on GS who also liked them. And finally someone who didn't cringe at the name. Duder is really funny, and enjoys most of the same music I do, which gets him an A+ in my book. We're also gay lovers, but that's a different story.

Stay tuned for numbers 4 to 2!

  • 9Nov 09

    Cfam.jpg picture by SoraX64
    10.)cfamgcn
    Level 32- Snake Eater (63%)
    The Japanese Exported Union

I met CF quite a while back. I had seen him posting before, but I had never talked to him. Then, he ended up in a few unions that I was in. After some initial violence (fights that I always won because I'm so evil ) I started to see that he's a really cool guy. A huge musician and also a fan of anime. Sadly, he isn't around much these days, but you'll know it's him when you see ~de arimasu after every one of his posts.

    9.)Forte224
    Level 11- Atomic Punk (33%)

Forte... He was one of my favorite members for a while. He joined the Blue Bomber Battalion one day, on a freshly made GS account. I knew there was something different about him, because he was very intelligent. Eventually, he joined LoN and became one of our most active posters. If he was still here with us today, he'd more than likely be an officer. Sadly, he decided one day that it was time to leave GS, and so he did. Forte, if you ever read this, we hope you come back one day. I look at the quote in your sig ("Interesting...If you can retain that power......Then perhaps we shall meet again someday...") and it makes me hopeful that we might see you again one day.

    KH.jpg picture by SoraX64
    8.)KHfanboy2
    Level 34- Paramecium (93%)
SPOTunion, Kingdom Hearts and Anime union, The Amoeba Attack Squad Alpha Niner Delta Team, Awesome Kingdom Hearts Union, The Gaming Intelligence Agency, The Clan of Evil Conquest, OFF-TOPIC BAR, The Dark Rulers Anime Union, The Legend of Nintendo, Seireitei Society Union, Nine-Tailed Hollows, The TopMachos Union, Upside to Anger

KH was another one of those people I saw posting a lot before I actually talked to him (wow, I'm such a stalker!). I met him at the Clan of Evil Conquest, and we went from there. With a mind almost as evil as mine, he is a fun person to scheme with. I respect his sig full of women (I should try that some day ). KH is one of the most well known users I've ever met, and I hope to be on his level one day.

Well, there you have it, the first batch. Expect numbers 7 to 5 either later today or tomorrow.

Hi there and welcome to my blog...

First off, I made myself a new sig/avy combo earlier today. I know it isn't that great, but I've been in a slump lately and I can't seem to get out of it. If anyone has a good tutorial or anything that might help me, that'd be appreciated.

The sig for those who might want to see it:
    YohSig.png picture by SoraX64

It's Yoh Asakura, if you didn't know.

Next... I got a level up from Ippon! to Snake Eater. I'm already 22% through this one so it shouldn't be too long before I reach the next level. I know nothing of Snake Eater so I have nothing else to say about this level.

I've been getting sick a lot more than usual lately. Usually, throughout an entire school year, I'll get sick once, two times tops. But this year, I've been sick 3 times in just the first QUARTER of the year. All together I've missed 5 days of school, today being the fifth. Normally I wouldn't worry about missing a day of school... But a couple of weeks ago I missed three days because of strep throat. I was finally getting fully caught up when I caught what I have now. My brother could have H1N1, so it's always a possibility that I have that. Let's hope not...

Something else that is some-what on that subject, I have to go in for X-Rays on my back. I had my physical last weekend, and my doctor noticed that I have a slight curve in my spine in my lower back area. This wouldn't have been a big deal if my sister hadn't had major surgery on her back for scoliosis a few weeks ago, but since she did my parents are making me go in to let them look at my back. Not that it's severe at all, but they just are blowing it way out of proportion just because of my sister.

A few days ago a girl confessed to me. I didn't know how to react to it; I haven't known her long, and I only know her because I was friends with her sister. They moved a while back down to Massachusetts, but for some reason she waited until after they were gone to tell me. I've been worrying about it ever since she told me because I'm not sure if I can return her feelings. To tell the truth, I've been developing feelings for one of my friends who has liked me before. I'll make sure to keep all who care updated.

And now for a brief advertisement from our sponsors...

And last but not least... recent CD purchases.

It's been a while since I've done a real blog... so I'm bored and I'm going to do one.

    Got to level 31, Ippon!!

I don't really care for the name of this level, or any of the levels coming up. I can't wait for the 40's though. All of those level names are awesome!

I've recently started buying CD's... here's what I have so far!

    Dear Agony - Breaking Benjamin

War is the Answer - Five Finger Death Punch

Skeletons in the Closet - Children of Bodom

    Evangelion - Behemoth

    One Cold Night - Seether

Not too big of a collection so far, I know. But it's something.

My sister (who might be coming home from the hospital today!) let me have her stereo system to put into my room so I did that and I've been listening to a lot of music lately thanks to that. I'm loving it.

On the school front I'm doing a lot better this year than I was last year. My current grades are:

    Algebra II Honors - 92

    Biology Honors - 92

    Graphic Design - 99

    Intro to Computers - 100

I'm also keeping up with all of my homework and still finding time for myself. It's been a good school year so far academically, but as far as fun it's not been so great (a few people may know what I mean but I'm not going to go into detail )

I finally got my 100+ kill match in The Conduit. I got it sometime last week, with 104 kills. I was really surprised when I did it.

I'm almost done with Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. The game hasn't been as long as I would have liked it; I'm at around 11 hours right now and I'm almost at the end of the story. It's a great game though.

I've also decided that I'm too lazy to do the update thing every week, so I'm not going to be doing that for a while.

    Now for union advertisements!

    --------------------

    The Legend of Nintendo union

Do you like Nintendo? Yes? Well, come to LoN. We are an active union and you can have fun there all the time. We are currently searching for new officers, so that opportunity is presenting itself to you.

    [Leader - Me. ]

    The All-Out Nintendo union

The All-Out Nintendo Union is dedicated to all Nintendo fans, or even just people that like to play Nintendo games. It gives everyone a fair shot for their voice to be heard through reviews, and everyone is welcome to post and think up new threads. We have new activities like Hurt and Heals, RPGs, and Tourneys every now and then, so stop on by.

    [Leader -Cloud_765] [My rank: Officer]

    The Toonami Union

Do you love cartoons? Yes! How about comics? Of course! Manga and Anime? My favorite! Then look no further than the world of The Toonami Union! We talk about everything and anything toonami (toon+anime) related! This is the place to be to talk about that OVA you watched last week, the latest live-action comic book movie, all the popular manga from Naruto to Claymore to Ranma 1/2, and even your childhood cartoons!

[Leader - asvicj] [My rank: Recruit]

    The Nintendo Universe union

A union dedicated to Nintendo. Pretty nice place.

[Leader - luke141eels] [My rank: Recruit]

    Nintendo Planet

A Nintendo union recently handed over to a new leader. This place is really in need of a good hand, so go check it out.

[Leader - sonic__323] [My rank: Recruit]

    The Shrimp Fan Club

An off topic union where you can have fun for no apparent reason.

[Leader - supergt1] [My rank: Officer]

    The Blue Bomber Battalion

A union for all you fans of MegaMan! Sadly, things have slowed down lately so we could really use a few more active posters!

[Leader - cronomagus36] [My rank: Officer]

    The Shredder's union

Love the guitar? Play the guitar? Like music that uses a guitar? Then I have a union for you...

[Leader - Darth-Caedus] [My rank: Officer]

Note: I'm going to be resigning from the following unions over the next few days:

    -Clan of Evil Conquest

    -Yuri Fan Club

-Any other union I didn't advertise

    -Declining all union invites

This is because I don't have enough time to go to a million different unions. I'm already stretched far to go to the ones above, so I can't take on any more.

Well, that brings this blog to an end! Thanks for reading!

    ~Sora

I didn't think I was going to do it so suddenly but earlier this week I decided I just needed a break. I recently found out that the girl I've liked for 2 years is moving away within the next few months. And that's not all that's bothered me. Ever since I found out that she was leaving I decided that I'd change a little to help her enjoy what time she has left here.

I went into the situation really open minded. She has liked my friend since I started to like her and I'm 99.99% sure that my friend likes her back. So, I figured that I could back off from her and I told her that I was completely fine with them. Of course, this was a lie but I guess that isn't important...

So I decided to look past the fact that I was being torn between friendship and my feelings and play the part of best friend until she leaves. But that turns out to be a hard thing to do when she seemingly can't be happy unless she is either next to him, flirting with him, or talking to him. So many times during the day since school started I'll be walking with them and they'll increase their pace and leave me behind. If I try to talk to either of them they usually don't listen because they're too busy. Every day when I have to leave to catch the bus I yell goodbye at them until I can't wait any longer and I usually get no response except from other people. I really want to sit back and let her enjoy the time she has left here with him but... it hurts me too much. I don't want her to know this though, because then I'll feel bad that I might have ruined some of the time she has left. I still like her but she thinks I don't, which is how it's going to have to be until she leaves.

In other news, I went out to get my mom's birthday present last night... but couldn't.

I checked Wal-Mart for the CD (Five Finger Death Punch - War is the Answer) and they didn't have it, so I decided to go to K-Mart. They had it (much to my surprise) so I grabbed it and went to pay for it. The following conversation went like this:

    Cashier: "ID?"

    Me: "What?"

    Cashier: "How old are you?"

    Me: "15..."

Cashier: "You're not old enough to buy this"

Too bad for me. From what I've been told, it's K-Mart's policy not to sell CDs with the PA label on them to people under 18. Looks like I'll have to have my mom buy her own birthday present then.

Don't worry, it gets better. On the way home from K-Mart, our car broke down. My sister started flipping out and I was about ready to yell at her but I didn't feel like going through the trouble. The car lights wouldn't turn on and it smelled horrible. At least it was a nice night out. I took the time to stare up at the stars and think. My dad picked us up soon enough and I got to go home to do homework... woohoo...

There isn't much else that went on over the past few days... the school pep rally was today but I've never been one for school spirit.

As far as gaming goes I recently got Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and I'm loving it so far.

Also, on the 1st of October my sister goes into surgery so I might be a little inactive around then. I'll be moving a lot between my house and my grandparent's house and I might be a tad busy, but I'll still be here as much as I can.

Alright, that's about it for this time... Thanks for reading!

Alright, first thing's first. I'm going to be taking a page from supergt1's book and doing a weekly update on my stats on the site. As of right now, I am starting with:

    Other Stats

    Weeklyupdate1pt2.jpg picture by SoraX64

Next week I'll be showing how much I've gone up over the span of the week. I'll be doing this every Saturday.

In other news, I'm going to show off my latest purchase...

    One Cold Night by Seether

It's an acoustic live show. FYE was having a big sale on CDs and I didn't have this one by them yet so I picked it up earlier today. I've listened through it once and I like it.

It also came with a DVD containing the entire performance. I'm planning on watching that tomorrow.

I've gotten settled back into school, and I'm doing good so far. I have a 93 and above in all of my ****s as of yesterday, and I'm happy to say I've been able to keep up with all of my work so far. I'm a lot more organized this year than I was last year, and that is helping me a lot.

On the Gamespot front, I've been staying active despite being at school for most of the day and playing video games for most of the time I'm not in school. I mainly post at the Legend of Nintendo union and the All-Out Nintendo union, so if you are looking for me, I'll probably be there.

    Time for some advertisement! ^_^

    The All-Out Nintendo union

All Out Nintendo-The All-Out Nintendo Union is dedicated to all Nintendo fans, or even just people that like to play Nintendo games. It gives everyone a fair shot for their voice to be heard through reviews, and everyone is welcome to post and think up new threads. We have new activities like Hurt and Heals, RPGs, and Tourneys every now and then, so stop on by.

    Leader:Cloud_765

I'm not going to advertise LoN again because I do that in almost every blog I make.

the AON is a great union that I like to spend a lot of time at. It's a very active union and it's chock full of great users that you all should get to know. They are introducing a point system to the union that will allow you to get ranks as a member. The idea is brilliant and will add even more life to the union.

But still, go to LoN, it's gotten loads more active!

Also, the Nintendo Universe union is a great union that is worth your time. Posting buddies with LoN, both NUU and LoN have around the same amount of posts. There are some great people there and you can have a lot of fun.

    A link toThe Nintendo Universe.

Also,The Blue Bomber Battalionis slowing down a lot lately, so you should all check that one out! There is a great RPG going on in there and you can join any time.

    That's enough advertising... >_>

I don't have much else to add except the fact that I have reached rank 23 of 24 in The Conduit and now I need like 13k more XP for rank 24... fun...

    And there you have it!

    Visit those unions!

    Thanks for reading!

And by that I mean video game wise.

During summer vacation I get the chance to play a lot of video games so I usually make a lot of progress. Time to share!

    Games I bought:

    1. The Conduit
    2. Final Fantasy XII
    3. Paper Mario
    4. Mega Man Star Force 3

    Progress in each game:

    1. The Conduit -
    • Reached rank 22 of 24 [only a few hundred more to 23]
    • Reached 10,000 kill milestone
    • Got a 40 killing spree
    1. Final Fantasy XII
    • Reached level 30
    • Got 1/3 through the game
    • Passed 20 hours of play time
    1. Paper Mario
    • 6 of 7 Star Spirits recovered
    1. Mega Man Star Force 3
    • Beat the game
    • Got all Standard Cards
    • Beat Sirius (and all the R bosses)
    • got 30 of 45 Mega Cards
    • 3 of 5 Giga Cards

Now, with summer over, I have the following goals:

    1. The Conduit
    • Reach max rank (24)
    • Win a match with more than 60 kills and less than 10 deaths
    • Reach 20,000 kills
    1. Final Fantasy XII
    • Beat the game
    • Do as many side quests as possible
    • Try to stretch the game out to pass 100 hours
    1. Paper Mario
    • Beat the game
    1. Mega Man Star Force 3
    • Get all Mega and Giga cards
    • Get 20 wins on Wi-Fi

Of course, there are a bunch of games I'd also like to get. The following is a list of those games and in the order I am hoping to buy them.

    1. Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story [DS]
    2. Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days [DS]
    3. Metroid Prime Trilogy [Wii]
    4. Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks [DS] [depends on release date]

There are a couple of games that I'd like to get but I don't know whether or not I'll have the money for them:

    1. Scribblenauts [DS]
    2. Muramasa [Wii]
    3. Wii Sports Resort [Wii]
    4. Guitar Hero 5 [Wii]

Well, I guess that's just about it for video games.

    Thanks for reading!

Well then... it's time for another blog. Last one before school starts.

As of Thursday, school is back in. I'll be starting 10th grade, my second year in high school. I'm hoping to do better this year and try to keep myself on the honor roll like I did from 3rd to 8th grade. I was disappointed with the 2 C's I got last year because they were my first. Hopefully this year I'll be able to set aside any troubles I had last year (coughgirlscough) and focus more on my school work.

As school starts up I'll probably be less active for quite a while, because I'd like to get settled in right. I'll have to adjust a school sleeping schedule so I'll be losing one of my most active times of the day (the time from 11 PM to 3 AM). I apologize in advance for any inconveniencesthis may cause and I'd like to let all of my unions know in advance.

I'm going to advertise a few unions next...

    • The Shredder's Union - A union for those who play guitar or love rock/metal music! This union could really use a few more dedicated members, so make sure to check it out! [Leader: Darth-Caedus]
    • The Legend of Nintendo - A union based solely on Nintendo! We have made a lot of progress and right now stand at the 13th spot for views out of all Nintendo unions on GS and the 15th spot for posts. We have been getting a lot of members lately that haven't been active so we are slowing down a bit, so I hope all of you fans of Nintendo who read this will check it out. [Leader: SoraX64]
    • Toonami Union - If you haven't heard of this union yet, then you get hit with my rolled up newspaper. If you like anime, manga, comics, or anything related to you, the TU is the union for you! [Leader: asvicj]
    • All Out Nintendo - One of my favorite unions and also the kind of union I really hope LoN can become one day. A union dedicated to Nintendo, the AON is a great place to hang out and have some fun. Another one of those unions I hope to be an officer in some day. [Leader: Cloud_76534562157254327356834715158245426432748]
    • Blue Bomber Battalion - Like MegaMan? Then come on down to the BBB! Meet some great users and talk about all things MM! [Leader - cronomagus36]

If anyone is interested in checking out any of these unions, they can all be found in my unions list. Speaking of that, I'm going to be resigning from a few.

Well there isn't much else to say, but I am getting close to 10k posts at last! I'm hoping to hit the milestone soon.

    Thanks for reading!

Well then, I decided it was time for another blog but I wasn't sure what I was going to write about. But then I went and looked at my first post ever and in that moment I saw how far I've come here.

This was my first post, made in a Brawl friend code thread on the Wii forums, on April 24th, 2008 at 5:39 PM ET:

    SoraX64 wrote:
somebody plz add me and then tell me so i can add u, i want to play in about 10-15 mins

Back when I first joined here I only thought of the site as a place to find a few people to play games with. I didn't even think of what kind of person I would look like with my posting and I didn't even care about the first impressions I made. I was an ass, as shown by one of my first moderations:

    SoraX64 wrote:
I know, everybody had high hopes for Nintendo's conference. But you guys can't just take what we got. Reggie himself afterwards hinted that the Mario and Zelda groups are working right now. They gave us what they could. But maybe you guys should just grow up and stop beating on Nintendo for giving us what they gave us. People scream for Voice Chat, and they give it to us. You explode at them. Hey, for all you know they are working on a new Zelda but they do not have enough to show as of now. Look at TP. That game was delayed for what? 2 years? Thats because Nintendo confirmed it way before they finished. Maybe now they are trying to wait longer to confirm a new Zelda. Jeez, E3 dosen't need to be the place to confirm it. They don't want to be yelled at by people who can't appreciate what they are already giving us. I know, I would have liked some new footage from a Zelda game but I know Nintendo wants to make a quality Zelda that everybody will like. Maybe next E3. I don't see why you guys care that they confirm it when it is obvious that the game is IN PROGRESS and will be here eventually.

Grow up. I didn't know I was surrounded by 5 year olds.

This was one of my first few threads. I got a point loss for it. A while before that I had been suspended for making a thread bashing on Microsoft and Sony on System Wars. Well, not exactly bashing. All I did was say that they both suck.

I didn't really care for the rules back then.

But then, something happened that changed my attitude towards this place: unions.

One day, I received an invite to the Toonami Union. I had been invited to other unions before, but I hadn't been interested in them. When I got this invite though, I was interested. I've always been a fan of anime/manga and basically anything involving fantasy. I joined the TU as my first union ever and finally started learning what Gamespot really is. I posted almost exclusively at that union for a few months before I decided to post other places. I spent most of my time online in that union. Around then, I made my first goal: become an officer there. I haven't accomplished the goal yet, but I hope to one day. I really look up to the officers there because they were my role models in my early days.

While it's only been around a year and half, I feel like I've been here for a lot longer. It feels like forever ago that I found my way into the Pokemon Platinum forums hosted by GameFaqs. I thought to myself "Hey, maybe I'll go make a pointless thread to try to make people recognize my name". And so began the story of my first leadership in a union.

I made the pointless thread -- or the thread I thought was pointless at the time -- and called it "You wake up one day as a Pokemon. What Pokemon are you?". The basic concept of the thread was for people to create their own Pokemon and make a story out of it. After I made the thread, I sorta just left it. I didn't even remember it until I found myself back on the Platinum forums a few weeks later. Much to my surprise, the thread was still on the first page and it was going strong. I eventually made a version 2 of it when it capped at 500. Then a version 3 after V2 capped. At around this time a few posters were standing out: Roxol, Sphenodonta, AshleyAMK, ultragodinez, kjhg53 and a few others who's names have sadly at this time slipped my mind. (curse my bad memory! ). As the third thread started off, I asked them all if they would want to start a union. It was the first and only union I have ever created. To be fair, I probably shouldn't even have been the leader of the union. I never participated in the 3 threads, I only made them. When the story moved to the union, I didn't even participate then. I was just happy to be the leader with no one questioning that.

Around this time my posting went up. While still posting at the TU and the newly formed Pokemon Story Union, I started to join more unions (a bunch of which I am still an officer in) and meet more people. I started to learn the ways of Gamespot more and started to feel more like I could fit in. My moderations started to slow down; I had gone from maybe once a week to once every few months. I tried to be a more active person who people would want to be friends with.

My posting continued at this semi-faster rate for a while. Then, when winter came and I started to fall behind in school, I started to visit GS less and less. The PSU union died out, I barely went to the TU anymore, and most of my other unions were pretty much forgotten.

As school started to slow down more, I decided to try coming back here. My first task: try to bring life back into the PSU. How would that happen though? There was only one thing to do: restart the union. We deleted EVERYTHING; including the story that everyone had worked so hard on. The union was still called the PSU though.

Sadly, this reset didn't really do anything for us. Activity was still at a minimum and the activity was coming almost solely from officers that had been there since the beginning. I found myself spending less and less time at the union and more time at the TU, mostly because I didn't have any power in the TU so anything that went wrong couldn't be blamed on me.

One day, when I was contemplating leaving GS forever, I went and checked the PSU and one of the officers (bad memory at work again ) had come up with an idea: rename the union and change everything COMPLETELY. And so the Legend of Nintendo Union was born... While the union was still a bit slow moving, we made a lot of progress. Not only with stats, but with relationships. In this time I learned a lot more about the officers I had been talking to since September and finally started to fulfil my duties as the leader of the union. I started to post more and more and my thoughts of leaving completely disappeared. Around this time I also started going back to all of my old unions, trying to catch up with everything I had missed and trying to fit back in.

At the beginning, GS was just another cheat code site with people who could offer me what I wanted. Today, I look at this site as a place to have fun. I can ask for help and get an answer. I can post somewhere and have people recognize me. I've made a lot of friends here. I've learned about leadership. I've learned how to better make new friends.

At this point I'd like to thank everyone. I could've been one of those users who posts once a month and never learns the real fun of this site. But thanks to all of you, I've been able to have a place to go to when real life gets rough for me (for example: an old blog that was recently deleted that a few of you might have read). I thank all of you that have helped me enjoy this site. No amount of glitches or nukes could keep me from coming here. I can think of this as my second life, where I have another set of friends who I can enjoy time with.

And so, as I end this blog, I'd like to thank everyone again. I know this is a long blog so a few of you (hell, most of you ) might not read it, but I just wanted to write this all down to look back at where I've come since my first post.

    Have a nice day.

I'll try to keep this one shorter because a couple of people *cougheveryonecough* complained that the last one was too long.

I don't really need a long blog this time anyway because there isn't much to add.

We'll start with what I did last night... I went technically on my first date. Of course, before last night I had been to plenty of movies with girls, but I had never been with just one and no one else to supervise us. I don't know if you could exactly call it a date though because nothing happened besides a few hugs.

I've also been practicing on the guitar a lot more lately. I've finally found the most comfortable way for me to hold the pick and now I'm progressing a lot better than I was before.

Just today my first CD ever got here! I ordered it from Amazon before it came out and it released yesterday. I didn't think I'd get it until around Friday but it ended up here today!

    http://legions-of-the-dark.com/covers/Behemoth%20Evangelion.jpg

Woo! So now I can start my collection. Next summer when I get a job I hope to get a bunch more CDs. I've decided that instead of preordering on iTunes I'll actually preorder the CD from Amazon or Walmart or anywhere. In September I'm looking forward to three albums: Breaking Benjamin's 'Dear Agony' on the 29th, Five Finger Death Punch's 'War is the Answer' in the 22nd, and Arch Enemy's 'The Root of All Evil' on the 29th. And here is the song of the blog:

I Will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin (first song released from Dear Agony)

I'm listening to it as I type this blog and I can say I'm really looking forward to the new album. It should be great.

Well, that about ends this one.

GO TO THE LEGEND OF NINTENDO UNION!

    That would be all.
