    That was easy

Whenever I say I might be away for a while, I'm back the next day. Typical. I managed to register with the university fairly quickly and then it was just a case of waiting for things to work on their own.

So, my room... is fairly nice, I guess. It's not huge but it's of a decent size... and I have desk now, which I never had before. I've put my consoles and TV on there though, since I like using my laptop on my bed anyway. I get to share a kitchen with five other people and that doubles up as a kind of social area. It's really nice as it has huge wall sized windows that overlook the main street below.... bit noisy though.

This week everyone seems to plan on drinking and drinking and drinking. I don't mind a few but after that, I never feel too great. So yeah, I went to a party that was earlier in the evening but when everyone started heading off for a "vodka rave", I didn't think I'd make it back alive if I went along. Oh well.

I think I'm supposed to register for my classes tomorrow... but I'm the only one who never got a letter about it so I'm confused. I have to pick up my student card tomorrow as well so I'll ask then... I haven't met anyone else studying Philosophy yet either. D:

    Be Back Soon

Tomorrow I set off for university, which means that I'll be living in another part of the country. I'm both excited and nervous at the same time. Hopefully I've packed everything properly and haven't forgot anything as it's a fair way to travel.

Initially, I imagine I'm going to be without an Internet connection. I may be wrong but a friend told me that it took him a few weeks before everything was working... what with the registration process and everything. I'm also not entirely sure how I'm going to access it. I have an ethernet cable from my 360 so I'm hoping that I'll be able to use that.

    Be back soon. ^_^

    Results day

Today is that day. Fortunately, it's been a pretty good day for me. To cut a long story short, I needed an A and two B's in order to get into university (college). That's exactly what I got, plus an extra B from General Studies. I got my A in ICT, which I was relying on to be honest. That subject saw the majority of my attention throughout the last school year. The two B's were in English Language and History. I was a little disappointed with those because I dropped from an A in English (an A from last year) and, in History, I was only 7 marks away from an A. Funnily enough, I scored full marks in one of the three units (European) but then managed to get an E in the last unit (Scramble for Africa), which dragged my overall grade down. Pretty similar stuff to last year, when the same happened in ICT. My teacher says it'll be sent off for a remark in the hope of gaining those 7 marks.

But, whatever the case, I'll be studying Philosophy at the University of Manchester this September, so all is well and there's not much point in worrying about the finer details, and thanks for reading.

Although I didn't make this speed run, I have actually completed this game. I thought that the first streets of rage was much harder though. Naturally, I never beat it. :P

This was also a great game on the Mega Drive, and one of few that I was actually able to complete. Stumbling upon this video (not made by me) brought back a lot of memories. Enjoy. ^_^

This was probably my favourite game on the Sega Mega Drive, but I was never able to complete it. Towards the end of the game, the faster bikes were simply too difficult to control. v_v
