Right after school tomorrow I will be buying my PC, should be in within 7 days! Here are my specs:
Motherboard: EVGA Nforce 680I LT SLi
Processor: Q6600 Intel Core 2 Quad - 2.40GHz 8MB 1066MHz
GPU: 2 x XFX GeForce 8800GT XT 512MB 640MHz 1.9GHz
RAM: Corsair XMS2 Twin2x2048-6400
PSU: Corsair TX Series 650W
HDD: Seagate 320GB Sata2
CD Rom: Liteon 20x DVDRW w/Lightscribe
OS: Vista Home Premium 32-Bit
And here are the games I have right now and will be able to play as soon as I get my PC:
Company of Heroes
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Supreme Commander
Hellgate: London
Battlefield 2 Collection
Crysis
EDIT: Well, I didn't get to buy it yesterday (Monday), but I bought it today. A different guy looked over my PC and told me he would switch out the two 8800GT's to two Superclocked 8800GT's. He said there wouldn't be much of performance increase, but for no extra money, it was a good deal.
EDIT AGAIN: Reread my receipt and realised there is 4GB of RAM now. Another thing the store added without a price change ![]()
So after my friend bought me Crysis, and for $100 bonus from my work, I decided to go buy some games. Here's what I got:
Company of Heroes
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Battlefield 2
Hellgate: London
I have found myself getting very bored of console gaming lately. The only time I really play it is for party games like Guitar Hero (still very excited for Rock Band!). More often then ever I am going to my friends house to play shooters, like Battlefield 2 and CS, and RTS games, like C&C3 and CoH.
I've got to tell you, I enjoy gaming with a keyboard and a mouse over acontroller any day, and the online experiences of Battlefield 2 and CoH are way better then any RTS or FPS out there on the consoles.
You can probably say I'm a little late. I don't know why, but until now console gaming is what I enjoyed most, but its all changed. With the talk of me buying a PC and just yesterday my friend buying me Crysis, console gaming is just losing it for me. Rhythm games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band will always be great on the console though, so I'll be keeping my 360.
