    Fable 2 - A Disappointment

I, Soap Crantston, have been and still am a lover- no- obsessor of the Fable franchise.

I played the original Fable; three times over, as with The Lost Chapters, and on both PC and the XBOX.

Fable was my first Epic Game. The Lost Chapters, though it was simply Fable with a bit more gameplay, could be described most readily as a masterpiece. From the day they announced Fable 2, I followed both here, IGN, and LIONHEAD Studios the development and every piece of news about Fable 2. Peter Molyneux was / and still is a genius and a visionary.

I pre-ordered and purchased the Limited Edition of Fable 2.

I got home. I played. Initially, I marveled at the graphics, the interface, and of course the fact that I was playing the sequel to what I thought was a masterpiece of sorts.

It was unfortunate, but the next day I played, I begin to notice some VERY disappointing aspects of the game. The movement seemed awkward, [as with the camera], the constant loading screens were not only long and annoying, the same song played each and every time, straight from the beginning. The clothing was bulky and lets face it, there wasn't much of a variety to choose from. Personally, being fully armoured in Fable walking around B.A. added to the experience. The weapons were nice but honestly again, there wasn't much to enjoy about them when you were swarmed by enemies who knocked you down over and over again. The magic was nice and cool looking but took FOREVER to charge to its highest level. In Fable, you bought the upgrade, and the highest level was what came out from using the spell.

Finally, the story was much to short and so predictable I smirked when I "called" what happened next in the story.

The gameplay and story of Fable 2 seemed less in it of itself than Fable. I was, unfortunately, disappointed.

Still though, I will wait excitedly and patiently for Fable 3, 4, and 5.

BUT, I will not spend that time playing Fable 2 as I did Fable.
