Now that the origional shock has passed, you can see from the title that the widely rumored Knight of the Old Republic MMO seems to be official. I will continue to update this blog as I find out more information. All we have right now is "Yes.".

    E3 - Day One

Is it day one? I thought Microsoft had a press event yesterday? Ah well. With E3 in full swing and all of us sitting in front of our computer screens for hours on end waiting for big announcements I figured I'd do a little recap of E3 and give my thoughts on it for all of you fine people to read.

    Microsoft -

I didn't catch this one but I don't really care because I no longer own a console that dies after less than a year of usage (three times), but lets not go there. What I did manage to gleam from Microsoft's presentation is..
-alot of "exciting" announcements about multi-platform games that have no business being in Microsoft's E3 briefing
-Xbox will now have Miis- I mean "avatars" and and an XMB- oops there I go again I mean "new and improved interface". Cool. I guess.
-and the big Microsoft announcement? Final Fantasy XIII now going multi-platform!? /indifferent

    Nintendo -

If it were up to me I'd skip talking about this one because it was so incredibly STUPID but here I go anyways..
-ALOT of talk about really boring stuff that I really only tuned in on because I had nothing else to do. /fast-forward
-An add-on to make the wii-mote more sensitive to movement!?!?! Excuse me but shouldn't this have been installed in the first place? What kind of bull**** is this where you need to improve your own controller with an addon to make it work better? It really annoys me to see stupid crap like this.
-Okay these old peope seem way too excited about games geared toward children.
-Oh great another music game! And a dumb one at that. "Oh I wish I could just spend money on a game that allows me to play music with no skill required whatsoever, all I would have to do is move and the music is made FOR ME!!" Well, your wish has been granted.

    Sony -

Here, in my opinion, was the only worthwhile big three press event. It actually showcased and announced new games (more stupid Wii mini-game collections do NOT count as new games), and discussed new hardware. I am excited to see Sony gaining ground in the console war and being in a position to make itself better than its competitors..
-I had no idea coming into E3 what LittleBigPlanet was, but at this point I can say that it has got me interested.
-I am excited to see that the PS2 is still getting attention! In my mind, there was no doubt that it won the current-gen console war, with its great exclusive titles, VERY durable and reliable hardware, and... well alot of other things that matter to me and maybe not to others.
-I really, really disliked Resistance before E3 (without ever playing it mind you), but now after seeing more of it I'm really interested and want to buy it!
-Lemme just lay this out for all of you now. I HATE greatest hits games. It is SO ANNOYING to have these dumb red labels on my games! I can't explain it, but I hate them. I refuse to own ANY greatest hits games and will not even PLAY greatest hits games. I take them into gamestop and trade them in for black labels (I always get weird looks). So obviously I'm not excited about the announcement of PS3 greatest hits. Although, I will be sure to grab the games when the first go onto GH so that I have a chance of getting the origional cases at a GH price!
    -Where was Killzone!?
-Woot! God of War 3! Would've liked to see some gameplay though...

    Others -

The big three aren't the only ones at E3! Here are a few things I want to talk about from the third-party developers..

-Postal 3. Look. Maybe this was funny when I was a kid, but I really felt apalled watching them show this game off. Its not funny anymore, some of it is just stupid, and cruel. I specifically don't approve of the using animals as weapons. Sorry guys, I'm not amused anymore. It also bothers me that this game is coming to consoles, it has no place. Keep it on the PC.
-Too bad Far Cry 2 isn't coming to PS3....
-I hope the new Spider-Man game is good! It should be, considering that it is an origional storyline that will not be required to tell the same **** stories as the movies. (Although I loved the movies)
-Please be good Prince of Persia......

You may have noticed that things aren't really in the order they happened in, but after watching an entire days worth of E3 coverage I'm having a hard time remembering it all exactly as it happened.

In other news, ruff_edgz is making me a really awesome looking page layout, and I'm really excited to put it up when it is finished. Leave some comments for me!

    Tired,

    -Snake
