My Friends

The Brilliant Journal of the One and Only SkateGame!!!!

  • 29Dec 07

Hola, again. If you can gain anything from the title, I hope you gain that I am leaving this site. I know people have said this and that about not leaving, but after some incredibly sickening things arose within the past day, I must say that I am leaving this site for good. I'm not saying why, or calling anybody out, but I will say that I am shocked by those who I thought were good friends of mine that happened to be a part of this website, one that I can't believe I joined. Either way, you people sicken me. If you have been a good person on this website, not done anything evil or whatnot and know you haven't, I'm obviously not talking to you. You that know that you haven't done anything wrong are great gems of people. Those of you that are questioning whether you've done anything to hurt other users, whether purposely or not, I hate your guts. Every part of your body, every thought in your small, thick-skinned head, I despise. I put a lot of trust in people, but I know I should have trusted my mom when she told me to not put much faith in those I meet with online. Well, she was right and I've been stabbed in the back. Like so many times before, I realize that as good as I thought I had it, most of it was just a lie. I'm left alone, all alone again. And guess what? I'm not going to blame myself for once, but those who I thought I could trust but took advantage of it. Those that have left this site did so with a good amount of reason. I will be glad to leave here. If you want to keep in contact, I'll give you my e-mail. If not, stay the hell away. Adios, I really wish for once I could be accepted somewhere, and you've proven me that I won't... Ever... Thanks a lot.

    Hello Darkness, My Old Friend...

  • 24Apr 07

Well, before I get blabbering like an idiot, I'm just gonna say one thing. I'm PISSED!!! Now, this is the freaking second time this has happened to me. This is f*cking ridiculous. I swear to god, someone's gonna be sorry once I go on this killing spree (don't worry, i'm not really going on a killing spree, that's just a hyperbole). So, what's made me so pissed? Well, it's the god damn weatherman on Fox. That's right, Fox, my least favorite of all the main channels. So, last week, no, actually the week before that, I was watching House, one of the shows I've watched since the near beginnning. I get about ten minutes into the damn show, and the weatherman interrupts the show, telling us that the storm may be dangerous. The key word for me was may. Seriously, it's great to know that something may become dangerous. Now, I understand that warning us of a potentially dangerous storm is what you have to do. I get that. Unfortunately, what I don't understand is how this stupid ass weatherman kept saying the same damn thing, zooming in and out, showing us the storm we had been seeing for about the last 20 minutes, and then telling us how in about 30 minutes, he'd be telling us about this on the god damn scheduled NEWS!!!! And, that was just then. I guess I was okay with it, you know, I could always watch the episode online or something. It did get me a little pissed though. HOWEVER, when it came to tonight's House, it seemed that the weatherman must have saw some potential danger yet again, cause he interrupted me while I was watchign House f*cking again!!!! Maybe this guy has something against the show, I don't know. He's just an ass in my book. Seriously, I don't have anything against weathermen and what they gotta do, but this guy is just a plain jackass idiot. Sure, this sounds like ranting, but I think it is justified. And this is the worst part. Right when I'm getting down to the closing ten or so minutes of the show, that damn warning thing starts! Even though the news starts in ten minutes, he feels that it is important enough to protect people from potential danger. Yes, I know that's important, but I think you could wait ten god damn minutes. Seriously, ten minutes is a short period of time. I don't think the storm is gonna go crazy evil and then just suddenly kill half the damn population.

This is my message to this guy if I could send him one: F*ck you! Why don't you screw up stupid ol' American Idol you jackass?!?! Is it because you care about stupid singers more than a good and creative story you peace of sh*t?!?!?! (Yes, I know that's ridiculously evil to say, but I kind of like saying stuff like that, helps me get the stuff off my chest.) So, I missed the ending of House, which was getting emotional. Of all the episodes to ruin, you picked an awesome and emotional one. You jerk.

Anyways, on a totally different topic, I am giving out a little info on the next Skating Weekly Update. All I'm giving you is the title. So far, I've named it: The Truth About Lying. Yes, you may know the title if you're a LOST fan. In fact, that's what was going to be the name of the episode that is now called Greatest Hits and is rumored to be Charlie's last episode (oh god, that'll be a sad one). Why did I name it that one? Well, I think that it suits what has been going on so far. With a lot of analyzing going on with me, I think that this is the perfect title. Plus, the title just kicks ass anyways. I seriously don't know why the creators of LOST changed it. It's god damn brillliant. Well, Adios for now. I'm done with my ranting for now. And all I can say is that I'm still pissed. That guy's an ass.

Wow, today has been... interesting. Heck, I thought that my life was boring, today, in some way, proved to me that although my life isn't quite as fun or eventful as it was, it's still got some kick to it. So, let me get started with a unique day, I present...

    THE DAY WITH A VENGEANCE!

Okay, first of all, one of my two friends, Chris, has been wanting me to hang out on this day, Friday, for quite some time. Anyways, I get a call from him on Thursday tell me that he wants me to go see 300 in the IMAX with him and a a couple friends for his birthday, Friday. As the person with nothing better to do, I said yes, and also since I wanted to see 300 on the IMAX (even though I saw it already).

Now, that's just to setup the day, and what a day it was. So, today started off like anyother day. I got up, turned on my shiny Mac, and had breakfast. As I was eating my donut, my dad asks me to go get the mail at around ten or so. Since I love to take a shower everyday, though, I told him I'd get it after I took my shower. As I was setting up the whole shower thing, I thought that the temperature of the water was good, so I got in. When I got in, I guess I bumped a knob or something, and suddenly, the water was boiling hot. So hot, that I fricking jumped out of the shower. And there you go, my day started off with getting burned by the shower. Back to getting the mail now.

As the good kid I am, I go get the mail. While I'm getting the mail, I stand at the mail box, in my robe and boxers and such, checking out to see if I got anything. I didn't, so I shut the mailbox and when doing so, I drop a couple of letters and the wind blows them into the middle of the street. I was dumb enough to just go after them and lo and behold, some idiot is speeding down my street. As I'm reaching for my mail, I notice him  as he honks at me (wow, how nice) and waves at me to get out of his way. On a side note, I gotta say that was a jackass thing for him to do. Now, of course I kind of jumped out of the way, or something. And there I am, nearly run over by some 4x4 truck, with the mail all crumpled up and ruined from that idiot running it all over. Oh, and yeah, I did scratch up my knee and arm while dodging this... idiot. So, I kind of felt like Charlie from Lost, as I find that with more time on my hands, I have been able to connect stuff. I mean, did me typing that stuff about me getting hit by a car have an effet on what happened this morning? I don't know, but as someone who thinks that fate is quite possible, it's almost too coincidental to be called a coincidence.

Anyways, that's not all that happened with me today, there's more. Well, after watching 300 on IMAX and feeling a little weird while watching on the sex scenes and such while sitting next to my friend's dad who might not have wanted his son to see the movie, we drove back to his house. On the way, the car got that little signal that says you need to change your oil. Since we weren't pressed for time at all, we went to the gas station to change the oil. Now, this is the highlight of the day for me in a sick and twisted way, so be forewarned! His dad buys some oil, pops the hood, and attempts to poor it in. Unfortunately, he didn't turn off the engine or anything, the car was still in park with the engine still going. As he attempts to poor the oil, he misses the little hole completely as he gets it all over the engine and lamp and stuff that's hot. The oil started to smoke, and as I sat in the car, I was a little worried. Then, as if fate thought I needed a more explosive ending to my life, the oil caught on fire. My friend's dad ran over to the side door and pulled me, my friend, and his friends out of the car telling us that we needed to get the hell outta the car. I looked back as I saw some flames coming from the hood, and man, can I tell you, that instead of feeling danger and fear, I grinned. Weird, I know, but I was kind of getting this feeling as though I was happy if this were my end. I mean, wouldn't it be cool if you died in an exploding car? IDK, maybe it's just me, but I thought that'd be a hell of a way to go. So, we rush into the gas station and the indian guy in there starts yelling at us as though we were gonna rob him or something. Chris's dad grabs the fire extinguisher behind the counter and runs back out to the car, putting out the flames and everything. And as I watched him put out the flames, I noticed something. Chris's dad looks a hell of a lot like Locke! Damn, he looks like his brother or something. However, his dad doesn't have the same voice or personality, so I guess that's why I never saw him as Locke-like.

Well, that was kind of a weird day.. but it ain't over yet. Nope, fate still had a vendetta against me. After that whole situation, we went to Chris's house and there, we decided to go out to Outback for his birthday dinner. When we got there, we decided to sit in the porch area that was indoors, like a greenhouse. We got there, sat ourselves down, and something smelt very strange. I realized it smelled a hell of a lot like GASOLINE! And there, as if fate had his murderer known to me, was some stupid waiter trying to light some outdoor lamp. He was fidgeting with it and such, and the gasoline smell got stronger and stronger. Finally, Chris's friend, who I think was Derek, asked our waiter what the chances were that we were gonna get blown up (yeah, he was a little... weird) and the waiter realized too that the area smelled strongly of gasoline. Immediately, he had the guy stop with the outdoor lamp thingy and turned off the gas. But, that wasn't the last from that Outback guy, the guy unknowingly trying to kill me via fate. Lucky for us, he tried to turn on another lamp of the same make and such. And what do you know? It had the same damn problem. Only this time, no one stopped him from trying to turn it on. As I watched him fidget with it, I heard a click. Then, I watched as a huge flame of smoke engulfed the whole top part of the lamp like a small explosion. I got off lucky, since we weren't near the lamp. But my murderer, well, his little Outback shirt got burned all over his back, black and all. The guy kind of flipped out and such, and then we got an apology from the manager, and I'm guessing that the little wanna be assassin from fate was fired.

So, that wraps it up for me.  A weird day, as if someone wants me dead or something. I don't know what it is, but i, somehow, somehting would happen to me, I wouldn't be the least surprised. Since, after a day like this, I realized that anything is possible.

    NOW... onto the 'other stuff'

Alright, with easter and all, and since I didn't make any New Year's resolutions of the such, I think that I'm gonna change my blogs. Instead of talking about games, tv, or movies as much, I'm gonna talk a little more of what's going on with me, since you guys really don't have a clue about the mysterious and wondruous life of me, SkateGame.  I mean, with lots of stuff going on with me, what better than to get some stuff off my chest than to use my blog, which is really an online journal that people can comment on.

A blog, as I've thought, isn't as pointless as a normal journal, in which you keeped locked up and away from the world. Why keep the crap locked up? Seriously, what good does that do? I never really understood that, so with this blog, instead of talking about me and my feelings and whatever the hell a journal contains and keeping it to myself, I'm gonna do all that journal crap in this blog, and then let you comment on it! Now, just as a note, this idea kind of bloomed through the process of my last blog post from early yesterday, 4/4/07, and after reading some of the blog posts from noahcrash. So, with my thanks to him, and to my own creative mind, I think that you guys will finally be able to figure out what runs me, this machine of a person, and what the hell happens to a machine of a person.

COMING UP NEXT ON: SKATEGAME'S REVAMPED BLOG!

Well, what's coming up? I'm guessing that I won't blog here until next weekend. So, here's what you can expect:

    • A re-cap of my week
    • My thoughts on Lost and other TV shows
    • Anything to do with my life and such
    • Any new purchases
    • Movie and Gaming stuff

Now, I hope you guys will like the new blog, cause I think I'll enjoy it more than just randomly blogging about stuff that I eventually realize that I don't care about. I hope that you will find my life, as boring as it may be, somewhat enjoyable, as I hope to kind of turn this blog into a show of its own, where the main character is myself, as I journey through uncharted places of who knows what. Plus, maybe if you're lucky, I'll tell you a little bit about my... well, I'll just say: my past. Adios for now, please comment on what you think and stuff. Oh...

AND THANKS TO THOSE THAT READ MY LAST BLOG AND THOSE THAT COMMENTED! IT REALLY MEANS A LOT!

Okay, so, as you may have guessed, I'm getting excited over some upcoming movies that are getting released this year. I mean, last year was filled to the brim with bad movies. However, once fall and winter came around, audiences were treated to a dozen or so great movies that was more than redeemable for the rest of the things that we saw in the summer. Let's see, Pirates 2, for example, was probably one of the biggest disappointments I've seen when I was so excited for it. Now, this year we're seeing Pirates 3. And you know what? I may actually see it even though the second one pretty much ruined the first one for me. Why? Because it seems that instead of these conflicts that we see throughout the movie that really have no effect on the overall story and act like obstacles for the characters even though they don't really change them in any way possible, this time it looks like there may actually be some character development and I think that this could make me overlook the second one.

What else is coming out this year? Oh yeah, GRINDHOUSE!!!! Man, I can't tell you how much I wanna see this movie. Sure, it looks like a crappy Tarantino and Rodriguez schlock film, and that's mainly exactly what it is. As Rolling Stone (the magazine) said, it's not exactly a great movie, just great trash. And I have to say that I would like to have fun with a movie again.  A zombie flick is always something that I look forward to. Shaun of the Dead was a great zombie movie and was the last one I can remember. With some early reviews, it seems as though Planet Terror, Rodriguez's film in Grindhouse, will be entertaining, gory, and pure fun. Oh, and it stars Naveen Andrews as well, so you gotta know that it'll be good! Also in Grindhouse is Death Proof, the movie about a slasher-type stunt man played by Kurt Russel. I've heard that it's his coolest role since he played Snake Plissken, and I think that will be an interesting one as well. Oh, and don't forget the cool fake trailers shown throughout the movies, the one for Thanksgiving looks good and you can find it on IGN or rottentomatoes.

Now about the rest of the batch and trailers... This time around, the trailers look decent, and for me, when I see a trailer that doesn't make me go head over heels for a movie, it usually surprises me. Take Transformers for example. I'll just go see that because I think that it will be better than it looks, plus one of the LOST creators/producers is helping to make it, so it's a must. Also, you can look at Shrek 3. That premise looks rather stupid and may just be extending the plot for more cash. However, with Shrek, you never know with the first being a classic while the second one was only okay.

Oh, and don't forget Spider-Man 3. That movie looks like it'll take the best parts from both movies (the first had great action, the second one had a great story) and mash it together to make a great film, plus the seven minute preview on Yahoo Movies gets me even more hyped for it.

What else is there? Oh, well, there is a Richard Gere movie coming out fairly soon called The Hoax. So far, it's been getting some great reviews and the story seems to look pretty good. So, if that movie's near your area, I reccomend that you see it.

And finally, a movie from The Simpsons. I think I've been waiting for this ever since it was rumored in '05 or something. The Simpsons show isn't nearly as funny as it was back then, but I think that if the creators, writers and producers make a collective effort to get some good stuff into this movie, it'll go down as a classic for Simpsons fans and those who just love comedy.

Now, I definitely need to go seee Ocean's Thirteen since those are always fun movies to see. Sure, the second wasn't quite as good as the awesome first (which was a remake), but it was still extremely entertaining with a twisty plot and lots of fun to be had. Anyway, I don't think that you can really go wrong with seeing that.Hmm, that's all I can think of for now... I mean, if I haven't listed it here, odds are I'm very iffy on whether I'll see it or not. So, to re-cap...

    - Gotta see Grindhouse
    - I'll probably go see Transformers
    - I'll try and find a theater for The Hoax
    - Doh! I'm gonna go see the Simpsons since... it's the Simpsons for christ sake!
    - I'll go see Pirates 3 although I don't have high hopes other than I believe that it'll probably be better than that crappy second one...
    - And I'll definitely go see Spider-Man 3
    - Oh, and I'll go see Shrek 3 based on the reviews...
    - And don't forget to pay off your dues to Ocean's Thirteen!

That's it for now. I know that there's more movies that I didn't listed, I only put what I could think of. If you do know any movies I may have forgotten to add that actually have some potential of being a good movie, be free to just tell me through the comments. Adios for now, here's to trying to see Grindhouse this weekend!

Okay, you could probably tell by the title of this blog that I've been catching up on the show, Heroes. If you can't, I really wanna know what you're thinking. Anyway, I just have to say that this show has been simply mindboggling. I mean, I didn't think this show would be as good as it has turned out, but I then discovered that it has actually become my second favorite show, only slightly behind LOST. I mean, I only don't thrust it ahead of LOST just because I can say that some of the things it does aren't quite as good as what LOST does. But anyway, I'm not here to compare shows, simply here to hype up Heroes since it'll be returning this late April and if you haven't seen much of it or any of it, you should go to nbc.com and start doing so. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't.

Odds are, however, that you could fall in love with it after the first few episodes. That's what happened to me. I suddenly started getting into the story and I think that so far, this is the show with the best season spring/last fall. Sure, it does beat LOST this year, but since it's the show's first year, I'm still a little hesitant as if it can be consistant with what it's been giving me. LOST's first season is easily the best season of television witnessed by myself, and this one is up there as well.

Sure, this season isn't over, but I'm still a little confused about some of it. I mean, when they stop this explosion, then what? What about Sylar, no one can stop him and he's killing off one too many characters (*spoiler* Mohinder and several other characters*spoilers*)? What about the company, don't we know mainly all of what they're about, is there anything else left to discover? As you can see, those are the types of questions that keep this show from being the best of the best, however, it still is surprisingly close to LOST's greatness. Either way, if your a fan of games, of TV, or even of movies, I reccomend this show since both LOST and 24 are having weak seasons this time around, and this is the only season of TV right now that isn't disappointing. Oh, and if you already watch it, good for you, you were smart enough to pick up the show before I did. Adios for now, I've got homework to do... damn.

Well, we finally found it out. LOST, the show that doesn't keep the secrets for too long, finally explained the odd couple of Nikki and Paulo. And I have to say, it was one hell of a story.
However, I don't really understand why those two were added in as characters to begin with. If the writers didn't even bother in adding these two characters in the plot... wouldn't have changed. Sure, Sun might not have figured out about her kidnapping, but that didn't really do much of anything. But still, if you weren't a fan of LOST and watched that episode, it would've easily made you a fan. No doubt in my mind that this is what Season 3 has been all about. The main story with lots of the not quite as important stories. And although I think that this isn't exactly the best decision by the writer and creators, I think that the show is still better than the rest of TV right now.
Either way, Nikki and Paulo's story was a great one, but I don't think we needed to know it. I mean, what did that effect in the overall story of LOST... nothing really. Yet knowing the creators, there may still be some meaning behind the conning couple, so we'll have to wait and see as always. If you really want to know what I truly thought of the episode, my review's up there.
Overall, the story was good, but in the overall story of LOST, it was a little bit pointless. I give expose an 8.2. Well, that's it for now. There's nothing much stuff that's happened with me. I mean, yeah, I did see 300, but it was a little disappointing story wise. The rest of the movie was brilliant. Adios for now...

Finally, yesterday, March 24, 2007, marks the day I told windows to go screw itself and got acquainted with my Mac. Thank god. I have been on this thing for a long time since it arrived. Why? Well, I think that's what anyone does when they get something new, they explore it, use it like crazy, and fall in love with it. I'm no exception. In fact, this is probably the smartest decision I've made when it comes to technology.

The whole interface took some time to figure out and get used to, but it is so much more streamlined and seems so much better though out than Windows. Folders are easier to find, files can be found in an instant, media support of all types is plentiful, podcast making, movie making, music making, website making, comic making, photo editing, and even software making work amazingly. If you're creative in a sense of having tons of ideas with movies and such, this is the way to go. Sure, Macs are a little more expensive, but they come with so much software already on them that it evens out well. I've been so happy with it so far. I haven't encountered one problem with it yet (by now, I would've had to troubleshoot twice with my Dell) and all the programs work really fast. Plus, I can have tons of windows up at once without any slowdowns occurring. Oh, and I got a couple of widgets and those are simply the coolest. I did get Microsoft Office 2004 with my mac and I have to say that Word is much better on the Mac software since it has so many more options. But hey, I don't hate Windows, nope, I love it for gaming... and the support it has, and that's it. The rest is all better on a Mac. Oh, and the screen is beautiful. The 64-bit screen looks so amazing it's simply awesome. Another thing is that I have twice the deskspace I had, so that's always cool. Other than that, I don't want to overload with this sort of rant over my Mac, so Adios. I'll be on this most of all day. I love it...

Okay, this is a very complicated blog post. Not exactly in the fact that what I'm saying won't make any sense, but in the fact that in a matter of two days, I've got lots of ground to cover. So, what is scaring the hell out of me? That must be why you actually chose to read this blog, right? Well, since you're cool enough and actually read my blog (which I try to vary) I'll guess I'll tell you.

The fact is, I just finished watching the movies "An Inconvenient Truth." No, this isn't a joke, after hearing what Al Gore has researched along with the aide of scientists from around the world, you'd be a little scared as well. At least, if you're part of my generation. See, if you're in your fifties or even your forties, this probably won't really affect you enough to have a lasting effect on your life. Nope, it's those of us who are still in our twenties or even younger that will mainly suffer. See, with the current way that us idiot Americans are polluting the world and creating a third of the world's pollution, if we keep doing this for maybe even twenty years or less, glaciers will disappear, species will become extinct, the ozone will be more dangerous, the temperature of pretty much everything will raise drastically, the ocean currents will change, and even the water level could raise more than twenty feet, forcing us to re-write our maps as we know it and affecting nearly half a billion people worldwide. Exactly my point, after watching this incredible documentary, I have found that the country that I have felt patriotic for up until the last 2 years has been very ignorant and has let this issue, amongst many others, get worse and worse. I don't want to rant, but to inform, and I feel that you simply won't understand this as well unless you watch the movie. I reccomend that you rent it or somehow watch it by whatever means possible. It is probably the most profound movie since we've entered this new milennium not only because of the information it presents, but the affect this information will have on me, and many others. So, I plead that you watch this movie... You owe it to yourself to find out what has corrupted and what might be the thing that could eventually end human civilization as we know it. No, I'm not overreacting, I am only showing the cause and affect of the science, the stats, and all that I've learned through this movie. Truly, if you don't watch tis movie and think global warming isn't a big deal, you have not only intelligence and ignorance issues, but serious moral issues as well.

Also, I'd like to tell you that the idol I've referred to is obviously Al Gore. I respect him so much after witnessing his experiences in his contributions he making to such an issue It truly is amazing to see what he has done to try and save the world from destroying itself. Not only do you learn the facts of global warming, but you are also convinced that the things that you thought made this issue obsolete are diminished. His life stories and the ways he applies them to the topic is really nice plus, the way he has researched is truly outstanding. I don't think there is a single person as dedicated and as well educated as Al Gore in this issue. Sure, I'm not sure what I think of him politically, but for the path that he has made, I think that I hope that someday I can do something just as meaningful with my life.

Now, this is the off-topic of my post. Seriously, this has nothing to do with the above part. So, I have just been shipped my Mac and will be hooking it up tomorrow. I'm fricking excited. Also, me and my best buddy will hopefully go and see 300, which I think I might have said last blog post, but whatever, I've already seen the majority of it through a friend on his video iPod in school anyways. Hmm... what else... Oh yeah, I hope to have a website up over the next 2 weeks or so with lots of the stuff I promised to do with my Mac, so I'll keep you posted. I think that's it... if anything else pops up in this busy life of mine, it'll probably be said with another blog post. Adios, mis amigos.

... it delivers. No joke, the latest episode of Lost may just be one of my favorites. I have just written a review, so you might want to check that out first. Anyways, I won't have spoilers here or in that review so if you missed it (that sux so hard) than you can experience this pivotal episode later. Truly, I think that I've found Locke to be the best of any of the characters on Lost. His whole mystery and suffering makes him a very interesting character that hasn't at all lost his touch in any way. Jack was also further developed and the way he was portrayed in the episode made me reassured that Jack's character isn't repetitive or tedious just yet. And Ben... OMG. That character needs some explaining to do. I just have so many questions and the next episode cannot come any sooner... in fact, a week almost seems too long now after watching that episode. Anyways, if you're a Lost fan, I hope you're happy because yous should.

On other news, I might be kind of busy, with the whole best buddy living right behind me and all. In fact, we might go see 300 this weekend so that'll be cool. Yeah, we've pretty much been the best of friends for a week now, so that's cool. So, for those from TV.com, filmspot, or gamespot, I may not be around as much. Yeah, me and her are tight like that. We've been chilling like everyday. Okay, enough of that, I'm overdoing it. I better end this blog post anyways, you're probably tired of reading 'bout my personal life anyways since soon you can hear it! OMG! That'll be cool and I'll have fun doing that as well with my show (which Itachi-Uchi will guest star in). Either way, things are only looking up for me, and from what I see, I think a quote is in need:

"I've looked into the eye of this island and what I saw was beautiful." - John Locke

So, with that said, Adios for now. And on that note... Adios for what could be a while... maybe... well, probably...

Yes, for those who have been reading my blogs (good for you) or have just become friends with me on my new favorite site, tv.com, I must announce that I am finally saying goodbye to this evil Windows Dell computer. Finally is the only word to describe it. With my new Mac, I will be able to do so much more. Sure, I won't be gaming on it, but I think the Wii is sufficient for gaming. So, what the hell am I gonna do with my Mac? Well, tons of stuff. Let's see...
    • With Garageband, my blogs could soon become podcasts
    • Dotmac will allow me to make and publish my own site
    • iWeb allows me to create a website with ease and not having to use code and such
    • Final Cut Express will finally allow me to put my new camera and my creative mind to good use
    • iTunes and my iPod will have better functionality with the Mac
    • Widgets... and a Lost one in which I have to enter the Numbers, TIGHT!
    • I can make a video podcast which will be cool since I was thinking of making a full blown show
    • Umm... I'll be enjoying the nice Mac features and interface that are much better... I guess
Wow, and that's only what I thought of giving you even though the things I will be doing will be much more than just this. I can't wait with some good specs and my highspeed connection, I'll be a media freak, no joke. Anyways, in other news, I think I've officially transitioned into a Texan. I think I may have said this before, but what the hell, now it really is official (mainly due to the fact that playing the 'I'm from Michigan' card seems to cause people to show interest in me). Plus, I finally may have made a best friend for Texas (I have one from everywhere I've lived).
Oh, and concerning Lost... I fricking can't wait. Locke is arguably the best character on any TV show. Seriously, I don't think any character on any medium has been so intriguing and interesting for me. Plus, his whole values and sense of fate make him great for conflicts with Jack. And let's face it, we'll find out what put him in his wheel chair, and Ben will give us some answers that we've been waiting for. I'm hyping this to possibly be one of my favorite episodes like "Walkabout", "Live Together, Die Alone", and "Exodus" just to name a few. Plus, TV will be good this week. 24 will finally give us the type of episode we've been needing since the great 4 hour starter. So, with that, I end this blog, relishing my upcoming Mac and saying goodbye to Windows happily. Adios for now.

If you're a user from GS (most of you are in my friends list) odds are you like games and know that users there are indeed gamers. However, I hate to say one thing, as Aonuma said in some thing about Zelda, I'm part of the "gaming-drift" which is occurring in Japan. No, I'm not a part of Japan nor am I Japanese, I'm a good ol' American (if you can call America all that good) and I've found that I just don't get the same feeling from playing games anymore. Maybe it's just a fling, but I just find games to be.... boring and.... i don't know, not so much fun. Sure, you may be shocked or think I need to snap out of it (which will probably happen) but right now I'm not focused on that but on my new love for TV and movies.

Yes, I've been a HUGE fan of both, but now, I find that I'm even more of a fan of them. Why??? Well, Lost is amazing. If you find issues with Lost (which people have since it isn't being watched as much) then you simply don't know good TV (unless you think it's just not your type of show). There's also other great shows including 24 (which I find a bit overrated), The Office, Family Guy, and I think that's it... I think.

Oh, and I found that the last quarter of 2006 created some great movies. No joke, I found a lot of enjoyment in The Departed, Borat, Pan's Labyrinth, and Little Miss Sunshine. If you would have asked me what movies I loved in 2005 or 2004, that list would be very small or even non existent. Either way, I find that summer movies are usually just special effects showcases while fall and winter movies are substance and Academy Award type films (although you can't love all of them). So, I guess that sums up what's going on now. Show concern if you must or hatred... whatever. I just will have to wait and see if I'm gone from games for good (aka become a casual gamer) or if I'll return to status. Whatever the case is, I'll be on tv.com and filmspot a lot. Adios for now...

Well, this weekend was pretty sweet. What was it that made it so good? Hmm, I guess it's that I watched some of the Oscar nominated movies for the Academy Awards that are happening today. I watched two of the movies nominated for Best Picture. This was very nice since pretty much every movie (but not all) was pretty mediocre and very disappointing. Never doubt, however, that the two movies I watched were neither of these, and were both surprisingly good. These movies were: The Departed and Little Miss Sunshine. Now, both movies are EXTREMELY different. One's light hearted and more of a family based story (although it's not a family movie) while the other is an involved crime drama with headshots galore. What did I think of them? Well, lets get started with The Departed. The movie is about the Massachusetts state police. Two new rookie cops, Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio, make it through the police academy. However, both are from different backgrounds. Matt Damon was brought up in the heights of Boston where he was nurtured by mob boss Costello (Jack Nicholson) who pays him for helping him out. DiCaprio, was raised in the streets where both of his parents were crime involved and notorious. DiCaprio is treated with disrespect and isn't allowed to be a cop. However, Mark Wahlberg (a detective and handler for informants) makes sure he becomes an undercover for Costello, who may have stolen something very important to the military. Damon, on the other hand, is treated with much trust and respect and is allowed to become the new Sargeant. However, the thing is, both are moles for their opposite groups. Matt is informing Costello about what the police are doing, while Leonardo is telling the police what Costello is doing. In the end, I think this probably is the best movie I've seen in 2 or 3 years. Truly, the acting was great (however, some parts could have been better casted), the editing was done with style, the story had more twists than I can remember, and the action was spursed throughout perfectly. Plus, with a lot of tension through out, the movie keeps you glued to the TV and DVD player. I highly reccomend this movie to people who don't mind lots of violence, sexual reference, drugs, and much profanity.

Now, Little Miss Sunshine, a totally different movie. Instead of being about crime, and the ugly parts of society, this movie is about a dysfunctional family, and their journey to a competition and the changes it makes to their characters. Sure, the story isn't very action filled or full of twists, but the movie is very charming, and it is (and I hate to say this) heartwarming. The characters in the movie include a mother who is overly positive and is trying to kill her smoking habits, her brother, who was the top American scholar, is gay and suicidal after losing someone whom he thought he loved to... well someone else, a father trying to sell his motivational steps to becoming a winner (and who shows his hatred towards anything other than winning), a grandfather who is experimenting with drugs and is quite foul mouthed, a son who has vowed to be silent until he can go into flight school, and a little girl who's dream is to win the beauty competition, Little Miss Sunshine. Over the course of the movie, each characters sort of "find their peace" and they each evolve and find a way to settle their differences and become a loving family. It's really quite funny at times and is very light hearted. It's a movie that I do reccomend, but I hate to critique. Only due to it's upbeat humor and comedy do you just have to love this movie.

Both movies were good, and each deserved good grades. The Departed is an obvious A while Little Miss Sunshine is a B. Hope you see the movies, for they really are pretty good. Adios!

Yes, I did make a must list for 2007 already... but I didn't... well I wasn't in the same position that I am in now. And no, that's not a bad thing at all. In fact, this is fantastic. Never before have I been able to be in such an amazing position than I am in now. So, without further adieu, my gaming prospects that I've now conjured up...

    CONSOLES: PS2, Xbox 360 Premium
GAMES: Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, Okami, FFXII, FFX, Gears of War, GRAW 2, Mass Effect, and some Wii games.
    MISC: Mac, License

Now, how am I now able to afford two consoles? It's simple, I've found a way to get a free 360. And now, you're probably thinking "well, he's gonnna get ripped off" but I won't since one of my friends has already received his. I have done extensive research and I am seeing all that I gotta do, but I think by sometime early summer, I'll be a 360 owner. Oh, and by Spring Break, I'll be a PS2 owner. Such gaming goodness, and I'm still waiting for my parents to have the time to go with me to get a Mac. Ahh... this year is getting better and better already!

Finally! After 7 long days of being able to not do anything on gamespot, I've returned. So, what have I been up to? Well, actually, I've set up my accounts in both TV.com and Filmspot.com as well. I've already reviewed two movies for filmspot and I'm planning to do some stuff for TV.com as well. Those are really some good websites and I think I may be on them more than gamespot since well.... I don't want to get modded again. Seriously, modded for telling someone they're an idiot and they couldn't see originality if it jumped right in front of them (when they said PSP was more innovative than the DS)? That's retarded. Oh well... You can't win all of the fights. Anyway, check me out on those websites. I probably won't get into mp3.com since I don't critic music. Chao!

I just realized that I have 101 friends on GS. I guess that's pretty cool. Yeah.... Anyway, this week has been really awesome. I'm getting really good grades, Lost proved to me that it's still my favorite show, I'm finally adjusting to Texas, My Mac could be coming as early as next weekend, and I beat New Super Mario Bros. From the sounds of that, to me, that's a good week, at least, better than usual. Other than that, nothing new... Got the Supreme Commander Demo. Runs on medium settings on my 2 year old computers surprisingly. However, it's a really awesome game. I don't think I've had this much fun with an RTS since Age of Empires II. Seriously, if you got a decent rig, I reccommend that you get it. That's it for now, I g2g. Hope my friends, 101 of them, had a good week, too.

Yeah! Finally, I can't wait to see it tonight. With all this new stuff that's supposed to be revealed I'm ecstatic. Seriously, if you watch this show, you know what I mean. Simply put, it's one of the best shows to watch now. 24, House, and this are the shows that I reccomend to all (although Lost is hard to enter since a lot of stuff you may need to know). 24 has been really amazing lately, close to topping last season. House is great as always, with great cases and Hugh Laurey acting as though he wants an Academy Award. Now, with that settled, there's some other stuff I wanted to mention...

Reviews: I reviewed both NSMB and Gears of War. Both games I think I've given the scores they deserve and hope that you agree. That also means I accomplished my first Must have of the Week, so I should have another one of those coming soon.

Mac Business: It's so close, I can almost rub it. Seriously, either this or next weekend, I'll be gone from crappy old XP and immersed into the greatness of Tiger OS X. Can't wait...

That's it for now... Hope Lost rocks!

Well, as you can tell from the title, there's something new. Yes, I changed my icon. I liked the N64 icon, but I saw a couple others with it so I decided to change it to a Ganon one from ALttP. Also, I've created a total of 20 reviews. That may not sound like a lot, but trust me, my reviews are usually longer than the average user review. I take pride in my reviews usually, only rarely to I just make one quickly. Anyway, I also have something else that has just occurred. I've finally passed the 1,000 mark for forum posts. Yes, I don't forum post much (1,000 by only lvl. 20 is pretty slow) but that's cause I just don't feel like posting random stuff. Well, I think that covers it for now.... OH! I almost forgot... I'm triple guilty of something I swore I wouldn't do... I gave TWO games perfect ratings. Why did I break this personal promise? Because some games I felt needed to get some justice that people hadn't exactly given them and as you may see, these games definitely deserve it. These games are:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
    Super Mario World

Without any doubt in my mind do these games need to be given these ratings. Why? Because I'm finding something scary about the gaming industry. Here's a story to show what I mean:

Today, I was playing A Link to the Past. I was blowing through a dungeons and was trying to find the Big Key. My sister came into the room and sat down beside me, watching me play. After 2 minutes she asked if she could play. Out of the greediness of my own self, I said no. Then, she asked why. I told her that the game was too hard for her. With that, she told me she knew what to do. Since I knew she didn't, I asked her how. For her reply she said that she just did. So I asked her what she wanted to do when playing (I was trying to get her away). She replied... (This is the important part) that she said and I quote "Just let me play. I get it. All you do is go around the dungeon. Come on, I'm just gonna go around and kill stuff." This had an effect on me. It was big.

What is it? Well, let's just say you'll have to wait until the weekend since I gotta finish some homework now. Anyway, that's my new stuff here, adios!

Ha, I made a pun. Get it? Apples from trees as to the Mac I'll soon be getting. And no, not until April anymore. I've decided (actually it was mainly my mom) that I'd be getting one in about a month but probably even sooner. We were gonna wait 'til Apple's new OS came out, but we decided that we'll get sometime later since there isn't much of a difference between it and the one out now.  Since my mom gets teacher discounts, I will be Macing it up soon. Anyway, that also means that stuff such as my TP Video Review and My Video Blogs, title: Recipe for the Best Game Ever, will be coming around early March or late February. Well, just wanted to inform you guys. Plus, I'm getting NSMB sometime this week so that'll be cool. 2007 is already turning into a rad year! W00T! Here's my new rig:

Well, I made one of these lists for this year... but... I thought I'd just do that for each week (at least whenever the possibility of getting a game comes up, even the slightest chance) and this will be happening on a regular basis, every other week or so. Anyway, let's get the ball rolling!

MY MUST HAVE OF THIS WEEK IS.....

    New Super Mario Bros.!

Well, this is more of a personal game, but that's what this is all about, MY must have of the week. And this came up when I was browsing over some good ol' games on my collection. I saw a couple of Mario titles and said "God, I need a Mario fix now!" And having money (lots) from Christmas left over, I thought that I just need to get this game. Plus, I need another good DS title since I haven't been playing many DS games (I blame my Wii and A Link to the Past). So, that's the game I most want this week and hopefully will get. Plus, I've been in a nostalgic mood over the last month or so and this game will hopefully show me that the world of 2D gaming isn't over yet!!!

On another note, that blog idea should be coming sometime around Spring of this year. I hope it will be something new and may be as good as I hope for it to be.
