    I will tell you.

That this article: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6286425.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=hot-stories&tag=hot-stories%3Bcomment%3B1#generic_comments is bullcrap. It may be true if you spend time constantly on a video game, but that stands for anything.

I will agree with one of the comments that said something like, "Remember when you got killed by Satan in castlevania? Yea... took me a week to get over that, lol."

    People are ridiculous.

MMO's - The Good and the Bad.

I love MMORPG's, RPG's too. A lot of people don't though. While I understand that everyone has their preferences, some are quite outrageous. Hating on a game like World of Warcraft because its a billion dollar game isn't a good reason. I came across a new MMO coming out called DC Universe Online. It looked cool, but I am really not a fan of super heroes. That might be a better reason to not like an MMO. But hating it because it's a billion dollar game isn't right. It's like judging a book by its cover.

DC Universe and World of Warcraft are good MMO's. Their flat out good. DC Universe captures a great feel of being a Super hero or a villain by its unique way of storytelling. World of Warcraft does a good job at its story in general. It shows whos the bad guys, and whos the good guys while telling one of the most epic stories ever known to man kind. So they both have good stories, they both have a good UI for their designated platform. I don't see why anyone would not like a game that countless hours were spent on!

The way I think someone should think about a billion dollar game like World of Warcraft is not that its generating billions of dollars a month and that you don't want to pay $15 a month for it. If I were to not like the game, I would judge it this way. I'm taking a test run of the game, they offer me a free 10 days of play. So for me, this is a fake test run of what I would probably do with it, not just MMO's but any game.

"I'm checking out the story, looks pretty cool. Man the UI Design is really killer and its so simple to use! The Graphics, I like them, not my favorite but there pretty cool. Especially the style they decided to use, it fits the world nice." So that's what I've found out in the first 10 minutes of playing the game. Everythings rockin' sweet.

So after evaluation, i'll probably think for a moment if I really want to spend my time and $15mo on this game. "You know...It might be worth it, let me go check the patch notes first though. I want to see if i'll get enough content periodically for my money."

So there I am, basically sold. I'll take the game and pay for it as long as I feel im getting a sufficient amount of content to keep me playing. No where in there do I even suggest it being a billion dollar game. I'm really looking at how it will fit my tastes and likes. If theres a lot of dislikes im obviously going to throw it out the window.

That's a good way to evaluate a game in most cases.

Now DC Universe, I watched Let's plays and such, as much content as I could get. I couldn't download the game because I have way too much stuff on the computer. So I watched all the videoes and reviews on it, as much as I could get. So here I am looking at the game, seeing if I want to pay $15mo.

"Hmm. The UI is pretty nice, so is the story. But you know I am not a big fan of super heroes. I'll probably get enough content for my money just from knowing the company who made it...But I don't think I will enjoy myself as much as I will with a Fantasy type MMO."

Theres another way to judge a game. Deciding whether it's enough for you. I decided it wasn't because I just am not a fan of Super Heroes(except for Marvel vs Capcom 3, Arkham Asylum was good too.) So obviously the games going to wear out on me, so I am making a smart choice, not judging how much money it makes a month but if it fits my style.

So we've seen two different arguments inside my head on how I judge a game. Now this is a typical hater:

"Amgosh, it makes $200,000,000 a month, im not buying it!" I've probably came across that statement a good thirty times in the past two months. Thats no reason to not even look at the free trial. Thats being stuck up. One of my friends, that to me doesen't seem to big on MMO's gave World of Warcraft a try, it seemed like he enjoyed it. I don't really know. But the point is, he actually tried it, he didn't judge how much money it made. He decided himself if it was worth his time.

I'm not big on MMO"s but I played World of Warcraft for three or so years, I enjoyed it, but after three years it just didn't see what I wanted for my money. I'm not saying you guys need to try the game, but stop judging the game by its cover, or its company for that matter. For all you know, World of Warcraft could be this whole new Call of Duty game that surpasses what activision could make. You could be missing out on something wonderful. But no, since it makes a billion dollars on a monthly basis it's not even worth it.

I'm just saying, in general, not just to MMO's we need to give games a try, despite on what the cover looks like or even what the company does. I never thought Battlefield Bad Company would be any good. I never thought anyone could capture what Battlefield 2 was like. I watched someone play, and even tried it once, and that is an amazing game.

Now because of my thought, that Battlefield BC would not be any good, I could of missed out on this amazing game. But because I tried it, I found I liked it. If the rest of us applied that to our gaming, we might have a bigger variety of games in out rooms, or enjoyed ourselves more for trying something.

Give something a try before making a decision, it's worth it.

    Killzone 3

It's looking like it and Crysis 2 will be the most stunning FPS of the year. Can't wait for it. They just released an amazing trailer too. Killzone 3 has been all over the news lately. Gameinformer, Gamespot had a couple articles so did IGN. Can't wait to see what it will be like! I need to get myself an Xbox soon, playing an FPS on a PC is harder then it looks. Maybe i'll just buy a controller for the PC get an Xbox when I get a job.
