  Spider-Man and the French Exam

  Hey there. I wrote my first final exam for the semester this morning. It was for my French 221 class. I laughed so hard, weird enough!

  During the semester, we watched a movie called "Bienvenue a les Ch'tis," which translates roughly to "Welcome to the Sticks." It was about a businessman that gets transferred to a rainy, miserable part of France, only to discover that he loves the people, culture, and lifestyle there. It is a very funny movie, and I enjoyed it a lot.

  Anyways, one of the questions on the final exam was to write a reflection, from the point of view of his wife, about her activities while he was away from home, working. Since she was not in a lot of the movie, we were free to invent whatever kind of story we wanted.

  For some reason, I started writing that she had been bitten by a radioactive spider. She developed the same powers as Spider-Man, and had a enemy named Dr. Evil! She could climb walls and shoot webs and everything... I was trying so hard not to laugh, and I think everyone thought I was mental or something lol. I know it's very immature and not all that funny, but I couldn't help it lol!

  I hope she gives me a good grade! I used good grammar and stuff, so hopefully she won't be mad that my reflection was not realistic lol. TTYL

  Won a $50 Prize!

  Hey there. I had a busy, interesting week. Classes ended for the semester on Thursday, which was great. I handed in my final Global Issues paper, and will return to the university tomorrow in order to pick up my final grade. I write my French exam on Wednesday, my Calculus exam on Friday, and finally my Spanish exam on the following Thursday. Then my semester will be completely over! I am very happy with how much hard work I put into school these past few months. I think I will do great on my exams, as long as I keep studying the way I have been.

  My church put on its annual performance of "A Christmas Carol" on Friday and Saturday night. I played Fred, Scrooge's nephew. It was kinda fun, but I am sorry I missed out on all the rehearsals. However, everyone involved did a great job, especially the man playing Marley. He was awesome lol! He got really into his role, and made the play pretty memorable.

  My workplace had its Christmas party tonight. The food was amazing. After I finished eating with one of my friends, I left early to beat the traffic. Turns out I won a prize after I left! They picked my name in a draw, and I am going to receive a $50 gift card. I will probably spend it on protein powder, as well as my savings toward a Nintendo Wii.

  I have been thinking about joining the Navy Reserves instead of the Army Reserves, lately. One of my reverends from church is a member of the Navy Reserves, and he has been persuading me to join them instead of the Army. He invited me to come see a training session, so that he can introduce me to a few people. I think I will take him up on his offer.

  All My News

  Hey there. I have not updated my blog very much lately, since school started. I am enjoying my life these days, though. I am busy with school, work, volunteering, and all the other stuff I am doing too. Right now, I have a 2,500 word essay due Thursday. Thankfully, it is just the peer review copy that is due then lol. I am also trying to get my passport application finished, and I recently did some dog sitting for a family from my church. I have to start my Christmas shopping soon, and I also need to start thinking about my actual Armed Forces Reserves application. Between January and early February, I want to have handed it over. Trust me, it is a pretty long application lol. I am also waiting for the video game I ordered online to come to me, "Hitman: Trilogy" for X-Box 360. I am starting to play more violent video games, although I am currently still trying to finish "Persona 3: FES" lol. I don't have much time for video games, or television, or anything else though. I am still working out every day, too. That's all my news, I guess. TTYL!
