OK. I've made the union and am waiting for all of the charter members to accept. I'll post the link to the Union soon, and you can all join it (if you're a fan of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles or are hoping to get one of the new games).
OK! Bye for now.

19Sep 06I'm trying to figure out how to make a union. And does anyone want to be an officer with me in the Emerald Paladins union?
Basically, you'd have to be an FFCC fan (of course), and not much else.- Posted Sep 19, 2006 5:24 pm PT

Every morning is the same. An endless recurrence of a seemingly monotonous although eminently satisfactory function of daily life. Perhaps the one reading this archive has made assumptions of the act of which I proclaim. If said reader were to guess that said event is what many call "breakfast," the reader would be correct. The meal that I describe is one that many partake in. In fact, most consider it a fantastic ritual in an average day in what they consider a spectacular life. At the same time, others visualize this act as an unnecessary bother in a monotonous life.
My particular allowance of this meal was a glorious, although repetitive one. It began with my stumbling downstairs in preperation for a day of learning. I walked into a kitchen in expectance of a wonderful greeting from my biological and legal parents. I watched the cereal fall into the bowl with great wonder. I then followed with a white substance, aptly named "milk." I dipped the spoon into the bowl and followed it into my mouth.
The taste was glorious. I quickly began consuming the remainder of my cereal. With each bite came glorious taste. As I finished, I arose to cleanse the bowl from which I ate. With breakfast over, I continued to the rest of my day.

New song. Not finished yet. Can't figure out how to get the timpani roll to work =/. http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=29B23262718199D9 Haven't added percussion yet... haven't even finished it yet... It's a jumble of complete randomness.

Bioware has announced it's MMOG. You can see an article about it here. Now, I was personally hoping for a Star Wars MMO.
Everyone knows that Star Wars Galaxies was a failure. Everyone. Even Sony Online Entertainment. Even the people who played it and enjoyed it. As such, Sony Online Entertainment was booted from making the next game.
At the same time, Bioware was announcing that it was making a new MMO. Naturally, we had hoped that Bioware was making the new Star Wars MMO.
Hero's Journey, however, still looks like an awesome game. After all, it's being made by Bioware, is it not? Bioware, the people who brought us Baldur's Gate? I think that, although little is known about Hero's Journey, the mere fact that Bioware is in on it may attract many gamers.
The only thing I could hope for more would be a Bethesda MMO. Don't judge Bethesda by their recent releases-- they weren't actually developing those games, rather releasing them.
Well, that's all for today. Hopefully you learned something. I'll be looking for other news articles to post on as well.

I finally got around to reviewing TES3.... it took a while, you know. Now I feel better, because the losers who give it a 4 should be shot and killed. Sorry 'bout that. I HAVE FURY!!!
*COUGH* Anyway... I've got about 20 minutes to write this, at which time I will be leaving for marching band rehearsal. We're doing a disney theme this year. It's O.K., but after watching the Cadets and the Cavaliers and a few other drum corps perform this year's program at Giants' Stadium, we're not quite as good....
I'm thinking of making a new banner sometime soon. That one I have now is the best paintshopping (well, pdning) that I've done yet... That doesn't mean I won't try to beat it, though.
I've been playing TES3 and TES4 a lot recently. I'm going to get Halo for PC soon because the clan that I played with for MPH may expand to Halo. I've always wanted to get Halo... I've never had an Xbox. Of course, now I have a PC.... as you can see from the terrors that I have unleashed upon the world with this blog.
Anyway.... I'm glad to be able to update this blog often. Especially since I won't get to as much when the school year begins. I love summer.
So... maybe I'll post something meaningful next time? It's 8:30 now. I better go pack up my stuff for rehearsal.

I don't understand it. I really don't. Really. Somehow, summer this year has defied every law that I learned throughout my childhood. I'm busier now than I was last year during the school year. Can you just imagine how hectic my return to school will be next year? Wow.
In the fall, I have marching band. For those of you who don't know me, I'm sort of a music enthusiast. Well, just a few days ago, my clarinet broke. I have to get it repaired, and will be going to rehearsal tomorrow with a rental... nowhere near the quality of my awesome FirstAct clarinet. It beats all.
Then, in the Spring, I'll have the school play to worry about... I still haven't decided what to do. I think I'll try out for a part... that sound good?
But, back to summer. We're going away every weekend. More frequently, my brother's GF is coming with us.... She brings out the insomniac in me. Since there's nowhere else for her to sleep, she tends to bunk with me (My parents don't trust her and my brother together)... and we talk all night. Usually right on 'til 4 or 5 AM.
Well, it's 11:30 right now, and I've got rehearsal tomorrow. I'll post more later. For now, SvL out.

Video game politics is one of the most prime examples of human stupidity and ignorance that we all know. Especially when it comes to this crap about video games being more easily accessed than other forms of media. Now that we’ve got these laws about ‘M’ rated games, I’d say that it’s incredibly difficult for a child to go about getting these games. I mean, seeing as how children these days usually have unlimited access to an internet connection, it would be easier for them to access pornography than to purchase a violent/offensive game.
As we can see in an article here on gamespot, the state governor mentioned seems to have a surprisingly limited amount of brain functions, yet a surprisingly high amount of ignorance. Here is a quote from the said article.
"This crusade against violent video games is something a lot of moms and dads are going to want to participate in, and express their views on the appropriateness of merchants who would peddle pornographic and violent garbage to their kids."
Well, Mr. Blagojevich, perhaps you should be fighting the unrated, pornographic movies that one sees everyday in say, a video rental store? When traveling to my local Blockbuster, I see dozens upon dozens of “unrated” films just sitting there, as would be video games. These films are bound to be far better described as “pornographic and violent garbage” than, say, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which has much artistic value. I’m sure many Gamespot users will agree.
This quote is from lageasy311, a gamespot user, in what I have noticed to be an increasingly popular trend of bashing such laws. "I'm still failing to see the issue here, you have to be 17 to watch naked people and killing and such at the movies and that seems to be ok, so what's the problem with being 17 and seeing the SAME thing in video games. This is why we have little leagues and big leagues people. You don't see a 8 year old playing in the NFL cuz he would have his hacky SACKED!! if you know what i mean. Just because it's a game does not mean it's for kids, just put the violent ones in a glass case like they do guns and show proper ID for them. They NEVER said these games were for younger kids.....this will get thrown out. If we can survive prohibition than this will most certainly will cease to be a problem. THey say killing is wrong in games like they invented or something. Does this mean caveman, or the people who enslaved black people, or ANY war for that matter was inspired by video games?? Video Games did not invent the gun, the gun invented the video game. "
In another article, senator Lieberman states that he is planning to study the effects of violent games among young boys. Well, seeing as how it’s already banned for “young boys” to buy such material, I do not see the relevance of the study. Now, these games are about as accessible as an alcoholic beverage. I must interject for a moment and say that I’m not comparing video games to alcohol, because alcohol is a damaging, addictive, and altogether disgusting substance if overused, whereas video games are OK both in moderation as well as in large amounts. However, I don’t see Lieberman fighting the far more dangerous example which I have mentioned, which can be far more damaging while just as accessible.
That was tough... This was my first entry dealing with HTML, so it took me a little while to fix an obvious error. Oh well, hope you enjoyed.
More to come later.

I'm getting back into Final Fantasy XI... I know, makes my other posts seem hypocritical, right? Looks like that series I had planned is about to be changed. FFXI will be the last one now. Oh well, news time.
First, has anyone ever played The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind? That game is excellent. I got it a while ago, a little after my last blog post (that explains some things, doesn't it?) and am still less than 5% done with the game. I got Oblivion as well, but I thoroughly enjoy Morrowind much more than Oblivion.
First, the fast travel. It's completely illogical. First, it cuts down on exploration by about 20 hours, based on how long you play the game. Also, it makes quests far too easy, therefore making rare items too easily obtainable, thus unbalancing the game.
Second, the "handholding." Oblivion points you to exactly where you're supposed to go. Think of it this way. If you're not carrying a special map to a certain place in your inventory, it shouldn't tell you exactly where a said NPC is at a said time. Maybe they should have a "Find" spell, and then maps would have to be buyable, then you could enchant the map with "Find..." but I'm rambling.
Next, the textures. It's exactly the same throughout Cyrodiil. No variation, just grass... In Morrowind, there were grassy cells, icy cells, dark cells, lava-ish cells, and pretty much anything you can imagine. If I wanted to see grass all the time, I'd go lay down face-first on my lawn.. if I wasn't so afraid of the bugs.
Also, there are only 4 factions (6 if you count the Arena and the Blades), to my knowledge. In Morrowind, there were 7 normal factions, then the Blades and the East Empire Company (I'm obviously counting the expansions).
And, I'm judging the games based on their official releases. If I were to base them on mods, as well... lets just say that this post would be... much longer.
Well, that's all for now. I apologize for offending a countless amount of people with this post.

Well, let me first say, that it is my belief that if the world "ends" it will be on 12/12/2012. And it's actually NOT completely random.
First of all, both Nostradamus and many modern-day divinators have described the end of the world, mostly each describing a different "part" of it. There was a bit about an Earthquake... but, whatever.
Next, the Mayan culture, which made predictions about weather still accurate today, actually gave this exact (well, December 2012) date. And, well, their predictions ARE considered very accurate... There's a bunch more, including several bible references, that I could share with you, but I'd like to move on.
First, lemme say that I'm probably going to post "Wandering Through MMORPGs," part one very soon, the subject being FFXI. Next, I went and bough The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
And... my newest project? A TES III mod. If ANYONE knows how to use the CS for TES III, help is appreciated.
Well, not much more, but did anyone go out and see "The Omen" on opening day? I never saw the old movie, but.. if you did, was it any good? I might see it. I still have to see X-3 though, even though I've heard it was really bad.
One of the commentaries I've heard went something like this:
"In order for the movie to be any good, it'd have to be about 6 hours long in order to give ample introduction time to each of the characters. Like, Angel had only a few lines of dialogue in the movie."
Or something like that. I spiced it up. Anyway... no new emblems, unfortunately. I'm still working on the Tagger emblems, because I can.
Oh yeah, one last thing- I'll be roaming around the TES III and, to a lesser extent, TES IV boards.

That headline scared me... In case you don't know already, here is the link I'm talking about.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/6152265.html
Of course, this is actually good news, though old news, because that's the reasoning behind the low price of the Wii.
You've heard many people say that graphics don't really matter in a game, but is that true? Along with graphics comes other technological updates, like a faster FPS rate, omnidirectional movement, and all that stuff that helps you play your game.
Not that I doubt that the Wii will be able to include omnidirectional movement- we're far past the NES-like stage of not being able to handle more than four choices for movement.
But graphics definitely help. Although, a lower price tag helps a lot more...
In other news, I got a new emblem: Tagger Dabbler.
I've been tagging everything just to work on getting this emblem... too bad I'm still only up to dabbler.
And I should get popular soon enough and upgrade from boring Convival.
Why is that image smaller...? Oh well. Anyway... I missed the opportunity to watch the press conferences live, so I won't be getting them, and I have no clue how to get stuff like "voted.." what do I vote in?

It's been a while since I've posted an essay-like post. So, now I'm going to have a 4 or 5 part (which will be expanded when I find more MMORPGs) essay series about my experiences with MMORPGs.
The first you can expect to see is Final Fantasy XI Online (FFXI), which was my first MMORPG. I don't play the game anymore, but my brother still does. So, I've got at least 5 or 6 months of experience in that game, so you can expect to see a pretty long entry for that one.
Next will be Star Wars Galaxies, (SWG), which was a fairly below-par game made even worse by the Combat Update (CU). It had an excellent idea put behind it, but it was not executed well, which I blame SOE for. There are rumors, RUMORS, assumed from news that Bioware will be working on a new MMORPG, that the previously mentioned company will redo the MMO. But I'll get more into that later.
Then: Guild Wars. I got it a little less than a month ago, and am still playing it, as you'll notice if you see my earlier blog posts. This is a very exciting, mostly PvP and max-level PvE (the exciting stuff) based. It's got a very short grind, which attracted me to it in the first place.
Next: Maple Story. I didn't play this much, having only downloaded it a little while ago, and I'm going to try to play it a little more in order to get myself prepped for posting this.
POSSIBLY, I will also add Silkroad Online and Runescape, though I've played neither, I may just for the sake of this series.
Oh well, what do you think? Are you as excited about this as I am?

First, I got Convival. My second emblem in total, but really only my first, since it's just an upgrade.
I made a website for Mutenpika for the hosting of his fan fiction novel, Metroid Truth. I will leave it to his discretion whether or not he chooses to show it to you (he's on my tracked blogs and friends list).
I also made a website for myself, but I'm still getting it ready, Mutenpika's story took priority.
