One kennel, two owners, and 80 dogs (reader discretion advised)

So I was listening to the radio (93.3 WMMR )a few days ago and one of the stations news bulletin came on. Sometimes they have funny news, news that doesn't even deserve to be news, and sometimes news that makes you laugh so hard you piss yourself. But that time, the radio personality seemed to somber to have anything funny. This, paraphrase, is what he reported.

Elmer and Ammon Zimmerman, two Kutztown dog kennel operators of Berks County, Pennsylvania shot and killed a total of 88 dogs that lived in their kennels to avoid having to paying veterinary fees because of the previous numerous citations given by the local ASPCA. After shooting each dog, their bodies were thrown into a compost pile on the property inside of their barn.

According to Elmer Zimmerman, he shot the dogs because "he feared the Department of Agriculture was trying to close him down and that he destroyed the dogs on his veterinarian's recommendation."

In an interview shortly after, Elmer explains his reasoning by saying "They [the dogs] were old, and we were hearing that they [the people] don't want kennels anymore. The best thing to do was get rid of them."

Ammon Zimmerman, who shot 10 of the 80 dogs, simply stated "It's none of your business." when asked by a reporter to explain his actions.

I know that if your still reading that you are probably devastated by what these two bastards did to these defenseless dogs, but that isn't even the worst part.

Under Pennsylvania law, it is stated that a kennel owner can LEGALLY put down their own dog by shooting them. Right now we probably feel the same. This **** **** killed 80 dogs just to save some money on veterinarian bills. They probably could have saved more if they would have just shot themselves!!!!!!

Governor Ed Rendell says he is fighting for the law stating that dog kennel owners must have their dogs euthanized by a veterinarian as the only way to put them down. Not to blow **** holes in their heads and throw their bodies into a compost pile!!!!

If your an animal lover, like myself, you probably want to kill them yourself for committing his horrible act of inhumane animal cruelty. Try to restrain yourself for now.

What's worse is that "he could have treated the dogs with medication for $40 or $50".

"During the inspection on July 24, wardens found, in addition to the skin infections, 19 other violations. They issued citations for maintenance, extreme heat, insufficient bedding, and wire flooring that allowed dogs' feet to fall through."

Elmer and Ammon Zimmerman now have their wooden hutches destroyed, ordered not to go back into commerical breeding, and have their kennel licenses revoked.

This is in no way the punishment they deserve, but it is the only one the state can administer right now. Hopefully, the laws will change in Pennsylvania, so that this horrific tradegy of animal cruelty will never happen again....

Sometimes you just meet the right person.....

Gamespot.com, as good as it is, has it's share of people whose necks you just want to wring. But sometimes, you meet someone who allows you to see the better side of game boards.

A little time ago, I met another user named LILWAYNE1006. At first he came to me for advice on making his blogs and other stuff to build himself up in the gamespot world. I helped him along the way and he showed nothing but gratitude. I've helped other people in the past....and all I got was a blissful thanks or nothing at all. This time it was different.

Talking to LILWAYNE was a really cool time with sharing my information of gamespot with him. He's a nice guy who's quickly making himself known in the gamespot world. Most of the time, I'm pretty much selective of my friends, outside and on the Internet. But LILWAYNE seemed like the kind of guy who would make a great friend, and I was right.

Now, LILWAYNE and I share a good, friendly relationship on gamespot as we comment on each other blogs and advise each other in different things. To say the least, LILWAYNE is one of the most friendliest people I've met on gamespot to date.
And if your reading this, you should check him out too. You can visit his blogs, check out what he's into, or just talk to him through the good ol' PM.

But take it from me; LILWAYNE is one of the people who you want to make friends with. He's cool in my book, and I'm sure he'll be in yours too.
