A lollipop is hard candy plus garbage.

House: (Source E! Kristin) P.I. Lucas to Be New Love Interest for Cuddy on House
Kristin says about the upcoming story arc, "...Private detective Lucas, has a crush on one Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein)!
"...Lucas (played by Six Feet Under's Michael Weston) is the character being introduced for a multiepisode arc this season to act as a foil for the doctors and possibly be the main character in a Housespinoff."WHOA! I was not prepared for that scoop. I mean whoa!

There's nothing like five minutes with my family to remind me why I hate them: So I was in a good mood. I mean I was a little bored but chipper and hyper and just in a good mood. Then my good mood was killed, poor poor good mood it never had a chance.
So I come in the living room and start talking to brother. Suffice it to say every time we start getting along all I need to do is spend five minutes with them to remember why I hate them, okay fine not hate them exactly more like hate their behavior. Some of things they do. Seriously though I could set my watch by it. So I thought I'd come here to blog.....about nothing in particular really to cheer up my mood, which explains my dancing milks (DANCE MILKS DANCE!
I just always see that icon every where and I've always loved it) and as for my quote my brother was wearing camo today, nothing against people in camo that's just a funny quote and my bros camo shirt made me think of it. Sidebar, my title is also from Demetri Martin. I never really thought about it but it is true, a lolly is hard candy plus garbage....yay?
What's strange though:...is that it's like a rotation of hate. For awhile it's my mother, she'll do something particularly flake-y or patronizing or one of her other many irritating skills. Then it's my youngest brother, he'll do something infuriating or disrespectful and after awhile it's the other brother he'll go into extreme sarcasm chip on his shoulder puberty on a mad rampage mode. It's almost as though when one of them is awful the other two are okay, or at the very least tolerable. But between the three of them there's almost never a break. So that's awful but hey this blog cheered me up so that's something.
Next up my Chuck mad ramble and a little life update thing....maybe...ish. Or probably, I think. You'll see.

August Rush; August's Rhapsody: Even though the movie was a little dull and boring this song is one of the prettiest things I have ever heard. Especially the little girl who does vocals. Take the five minutes or so to give this a listen if you get the chance, so beautiful.

House: July 19, 2008 - Zap 2 It Interview with Katie Jacobs: "They are currently shooting the season's sixth episode and Jacobs tells me it's an hour that will focus on... wait for it... Cameron and Chase: "Cameron will have a case, and through that storyline, we'll be able to explore Cameron and Chase's relationship and where they're at right now."
WHOA! And may I add yay! We had been hearing that this season Chase and Cameron wouldn't be so shoved into the background as they were in season four but I wasn't expecting this! So let me add another yay! Especially because at the end of season three we saw them become a couple and have yet to really see anyything about them as a couple, I'm a House/Cameron shipper, but I'd still like to know what's going on with Chase/Cameron. Anyway I should be great, I'm so glad that they're making good use of Chase and Cameron who are such strong characters. They didn't deserve to get shoved aside last year.

Snatched from garnergeek, I just thought that it was fun oh and I added pictures just for funsies.

If you could be any animal what would it be and why: I would be a bird, so I could fly anywhere I so chose any time I chose.

If you could be a car what kind of car would you be, include the color and why: Jeep, maybe dark green. I just always thought that if jeeps were living things they'd have so much fun off roading, getting dirty that sort of thing and that's a kind of freedom that I really like.

If you were an article of clothing what would you be and why: Winter coat, I love winter and everything about snow plus winter coats are warm and snuggle-y.

If You were a day of the week what day would you be and describe the day: Sunday, the day when you get to lounge around indulge binge and just be lazy. That is me in every way.

If you were a food what food would you be: French fries, cllllassic favorite that most everyone loves.

What color are you: Black, simple and underrated.

What movie are you: Romantic/Sappy but with a happy ending, though maybe not the one you'd expect.

What fragrance are you: Rain, fresh and cool.

If you were a building what would you be: A barn, a good sturdy building with character a lot of practical use. You might need to look at it twice to realize it's full value and potential but if you do you won't be sorry.

If you were a plant what would you be: One that doesn't need a lot of maintenance, just hangs on it's own and thrives that way.

What musical instrument are you: Flute, quiet and understated likes to blend in the group but can do okay on their own too though they aren't the most impressive or loudest instrument.

What geometric shape are you: Circle, no right angles or sharp edges just fluid and open.

What piece of furniture are you: The little simple end table in the corner. It's good to put your drink on but you hardly ever even think about it. It's just there.

What song are you: Broadway ballad, for sure. It's got it's high, lows and that big flourish moment.

What season of the year are you: Even though I love winter I would say I'm fall. Easy, gentle, calm and totally peacful. Not to hot, not to cold just perfect and casual.

What TV or Movie Character are you: Pam Beesley. Shy, underconfident, lots of self doubt and sometimes afraid to really speak up but with the inner confidence that's just ready to come out with people she is comfortable with. Emotional, caring and sometimes a little afraid to try.

What appliance or machine are you: Dryer, things are bouncing around smashing into each other and you use the wrong setting things could defenitely get messed up but when used correctly can handle things just right.
What natural phenomenon are you: Volcano, most of the time calm but with things lurking underneath the surface ready to come busting out and create a huge mess.

What word are you: Caramel, open to interpretation.

Journey Don't Stop Believing, pick on me all you like but I think this song rocks.

My Office mad-ramble!
Yay I'm finally getting to it! Sorry that took so long. First, there's no particular order or structure to these they're more like ramble-fests of all my thoughts about on the finale, overall season, episodes, characters and their development, cliff hangers, surprises and shocks and other general thoughts on this past season of each show. Now another warning specific to this, I have a lot of Jim/Pam stuff to say so that's mostly what this is going to be about because as you know I adore them.

The Office: Season 4: Last season....

And as Jim turns to Pam, ring in hand ready to ask her the question he's been waiting months (and really years) to ask her Andy decides to steal his moment!
I couldn't not have been angrier, after that season finale first aired I felt totally sick over Jim not proposing and I just didn't understand it. But looking back and just looking at the history of The Office reguarding Jim and Pam I kind of think we all should have saw it coming. Since the end of season 2 they have done "the cliffhanger" thing for them in every season finale. Season 2 it was the kiss, season 3 it was Jim asking Pam out and she said yes but then that was the end of the episode, now for season 4 it's the proposal that we had been waiting for since Jim pulled that ring out of his pocket and boom no proposal. Still doesn't change the fact that it was really upsetting but in some ways I think they made the right move in waiting just because it's going to make everyone tune in, there's no way anyone will miss the premiere now.
Having said that though I sincerely hope, though I am not worried, that they don't attempt to put Jim and Pam through the ringer this year. A lot of fans complain that they miss the angst or that they had more chemistry when they were apart and they miss that but I find them much cuter, much more entertaining and overall much more interesting now that they are together. The angst was dramatic, their pre-couple tension and flirtations were cute, watching them through the years working up to becoming a couple was totally great. All of it was great don't get me wrong but I just don't think that this whole on again, off again, will they won't they, tons of problems, millions of obstacles thing stretching over seasons and seasons is entertaining in the least. It gets old way to fast.
I'm not saying Jim and Pam should have a fairy tale straight through till the show ends but they don't need to do things like break them up, it just wouldn't track considering they'd never recover and more importantly if they are only going to cause trouble for them what the hell was the point of finally putting them together. They may as well have never done it. But as I said I'm not worried (there's just a lot of nay-sayers freaking me out) just because they waited so long to put them together they probably knew that once they did it that would have to be that and I think that's why they made us wait because now that they are together that's it.
There first season together as a couple was so cute! And so begins the age of Jim and Pam, finally!!! From the adorable beginning that was Fun Run, to the great 'kiss' episode that was Money, and the wonderful ending episodes like Chair Model, Job Fair and Goodbye Toby I just loved what they got especially considering The Office was another show that got severely messed up because of the strike. I mean watching them together was just one of the cutest things I have ever seen. They have this sweet chemistry, they are as I said so cute with one another, their personalities click so perfectly and they don't just feel like a couple they still feel like best friends. Best of both words! It's so squee worthy and I know we are just in store for more. To all the nay sayers out there you can just kiss my grits.
Season wise I must admit though the show held it together really well going on episode by episode basis overall things feel a tiny bit choppy. We go from the beginning of the season which very much feels by a beginning and then when we jump back in starting with Dinner Party you can very much feel this missing chunk of episodes. As I said episode by episode the season held up so well but it does feel like it's missing a middle, not just from a Jim/Pam perspective but the overall feel. The episodes though are still great, super funny stuff and they did utilize the time they had which wasn't the case with some other shows.
Michael had a strange season, he starts of living with Jan. They are back together and as weird as ever but soon they are apart again and Michael goes on his search to find another match and it's horrible. Not horrible in the sense that it's bad, not at all it's funny but horrible in the sense that he is just horrible about the whole thing. Good old Michael. Then as we all know we get a surprise visit from Jan in the finale and when I say surprise I mean SURPRISE! Jan's got a bun cooking in the oven but it turns out it's not Michael's, hello sperm donor. So the big question is will Michael play daddy, I'm counting the ways that can go horribly horribly wrong, and I gotta say I haven't the foggiest idea.
I've heard certain spoilers that lead me one way but there's no way to know for sure. Dwight and Angela start things off weird as well, though I wouldn't expect anything less from those two. See Dwight mercy killed Angela's cat and that obviously didn't end well. They split and Angela begins dating Andy, love triangle! Wasn't expecting that at all but I gotta say I love it, just because Andy is super hilarious and it was just one hilarious moment after another with this love triangle. Then the finale, oh boy wow apparently good like religious Angela thought it was appropriate to make out with Dwight on the night she got engaged to Andy. Nice one! And Phyllis caught them. I so want her to hold this over their heads and torture Angela the way she has tortured Phyllis for years.
Obviously because of the breakup Dwight has a lot of mope moments during this season and you can't blame the guy and sweet, sweet Mr. Halpert comes to the rescue with his trusty sidekick shine-y new Beesley at his side. It's so nice of them to try and help him. Unfortunately Jim has got problems of his own and this time they have nothing to do with Dwight, he maybe be the ranking number two at Dunder Mifflion but former temp Ryan is now in Jan's old job and not only has he created a new website but he's found a new rival in Jim.
Poor, poor Jim. He never saw it coming, I never saw it coming. I mean Ryan just kept pounding Jim with stuff and he put him on probation, I almost want to say here that it wasn't totally unjustified because Jim does goof around a lot but he still gets his job done and then some so how exactly is that fair? Turns out though that Ryan has another fun new habit. Drugs, yay! That was a good, good twist. I was utterly shocked that little man beard found himself a new drug habit and the time to commit fraud all in one year, I mean wow.
We also get to see a little of Jim the boss this year, as he is left in charge several times over the course of the season and things don't exactly go as planned. He gets them locked in the office, ruins birthday party month, and just keeps getting into scrapes. I think because Michael makes it look so easy, being a complete idiot while still running the office, Jim probably just figured it would come easy to him but a lot of people forget that underneath it all Michael has the skill to run that place and so does Jim he just needs to work on taking himself a bit more seriously when the times comes and they did show a lot of him learning that lesson this season.
Who didn't love when he called Ryan and left that message for him, or when he fought to get that account on the golf course repeatedly. Come on Halpert you can do it! Thank goodness he had Pam to support him and spur him on through all this, she's part of the reason why he's learning to be a little more mature at the appropriate times. Shine-y new Pam has a great year too, in part because of Jim. She's much much happier, more prepared to stand up for herself, more willing to go for what she wants and she's letting her hair down literally. So we finally get back to Pam's love of art this year, thank goodness I was so glad to see they didn't just let that hang in the background, and she gets accepted to a design school. Yay Bessley! I love shine-y new Beesley. So happy with Jim, working towards a career that she really wants. Yay Beesley!
Other characters go through some things too. Kelly is now with Darryl, whoa! That was a good twist too. Karen, who makes one appearance this year, is now head of her own branch in Uttica. And our friendly neighborhood HR rep Toby jumps ship and we get some fresh blood in the office. Guest star Amy Ryan as Holly, she's got just right amount of goofy meets serious and she fits nicely with the rest of the cast.
Overall I would say this season, though a little incomplete, held up so well under the strain of the writers strike and turned out great hilarious episode after great hilarious episode. All the cast was great as per usual including all the supporting characters that I didn't mention like Creed, Oscar, Kevin and Meredith. They really pulled it out for the twists and changes this year and that compensated well for the shortened season.
Season 5: Next Season.....
First there's the biggie, Jim and Pam. As I said I am not worried about anything, Jim will propose it's just a matter of when (remember nay sayers poo poo on you!
. I'm thinking the premiere, it makes the most sense so that'll be fantastic. There's all the matter of how. Now as I said my guess would be the premiere but given the spoiler I have read about the premiere episode it could go either way. He could propose in the premiere or he might just have done it before then. It's to hard to guess but I just know that no matter how they do it, how we find out, or what we do or don't get to see it will be fantastic. Sheer bliss. And I for one can not wait. Then of course there's the wedding. I am assuming that it will happen this season as well particularly because of some scoopage I read about February, there is an hour long episode of the office airing after the superbowl. My guess would be that it's the wedding episode for Jim and Pam. That would be so perfect. I'm also really curious about Pam and this art school thing, I realize it was a three month thing and that she will be back at her receptionist job but it will turn into something whether that's more school. A job, an internship, or something else entirely so that'll be fantastic to see Pam but I'll also miss her as the receptionist if she does leave that job, though my guess is this will go slow and they'll put her in something that doesn't require her to quit her job as receptionist.
I think no matter what we can expect lots of happiness from Pam and Jim, though I'm sure there'll be bumps along the way, and lots of changes for them both in their personal life together and in their professional careers. I suspect Jim will be in store for more responsibility of some kind as well as Pam furthering her art career in some way. I also want to know who filled in for her over the summer.
For Michaels things could be odd, Jan's is cooking a bun in the oven and he could of course play daddy but what about Holly he's got a little crush, can you say awkward. I'll be curious to see if Holly sticks around or if she is a temporary character. Sidebar, I am so hoping we get to meet Jan's sperm donor. Dwight/Andy/Angela will have some problems to say the least and I of course want Phyllis to just torture them about it rather then tell anyone what she saw.
I'll be anxious to see who Angela chooses in the end and what kind of fallout we'll be dealing with between Dwight and Andy. Being that Ryan is now in jail I do now know what is going to become of his job, I'm assuming someone new will take the position but it's really anybodys guess. Some people are circulating the rumor that it will be Karen but I doubt that because her purpose in season three was literally as an extension of the Jim/Pam relationship/situation. What would be her purpose now? And regardless of that what on earth is going to happen to Ryan? Will we ever see him again? Is he someones girlfriend yet?
I'm anxious to get to season five, which won't have any unscheduled interruptions and I know we can only expect greatness.
