The wheel of fate is turning. Rebel 1: Action! teehee ^_^

So i picked up Blazblue for the PS3 recently (i think it arrived wednesday?) and i'm enjoying it so far. Really digging the high-quality sprites for the characters (something i feel the Disgaea series would greatly benefit from in future iterations)

The controls seem fairly easy, there are no moves i've come across that are too rediculous to pull off. Obviously i'm no fighting game expert but it comes across as one of those easy to play and enjoy, hard to master games. The action can be VERY fast paced (moreso than any Street Fighter match i've been in) so it's nice to know that the special abilities are just there ready to pull off.

One thing i don't get is the R3 stick. You can assign various special moves, including the most powerful ones, to a flick in the up, down, left or right directions on the R3 stick. This is a very cool feature in itself, but when put into the context of a fighting game, really makes me wonder why i should LEARN the movesets when i could just be asigning my 4 best moves to those flicks.

Not that it bothers me, makes the game more accesible i suppose, just a little baffling.

So far i've only played through part of a Story mode. I played through Ragna the Blood Edge's story mode once, and it's only 40% complete so i'm looking forward to going back and trying out the different story routes to see if it makes any major difference to the pieces of the plot i see or not.

This isn't so much a review as it is a slight sum up of my thoughts so far. Feel free to comment if there's anything you want me to specifically talk to you about.

Also on the Agenda. Konai working on a Metalocalypse XBLA game titled 'The Dethgame'. As a fan of Metalocalypse and the band Dethklok, this is great news for me. Greatly anticipating any videos or screenshots that emerge in the coming future.

Other than that i've been playing through Valkyria Chronicles, which is a beautiful strategy game for PS3, Silent Hill Origins (finally, my discontent with SH4 delayed me playing this one but it seems... ok so far.) along with ArmA 2 on the PC and World of Warcraft as usual.

Oh, and Darksiders? Massive sexual feelings for that game. REALLY looking forward to it, the premise to the story is fantastic, the Character designs (especiall for War himself) are bloody amazing and the action looks great. While i'm not claiming it to be a better game, (yet) I am anticipating this game more than God of War 3 right now.

Well that's all i have to say for now... not entirely true i have tons more i could say but this things looking a little run on already anyway so i'll call it a blog and throw it online now. Tell me what you think, and i'll speak to you all again soon. After all, god knows when i'll strike next, muahaha.

EDIT: I'm also resigning and leaving the True Gamers Union (I think that's what it's called still?) Was Leader and have been for many a year but lets be honest, nobody seems to care about it anymore. I'm fairly certain i don't, not the best leader to have if he's not really fussed right?

Anyway, Gamespot chose the next Leader so support them if you will, even though i have no way of knowing if they're any more active than i was.

for now, I'll solely exist as Razlo through this blog. Anyone who needs me can PM or comment. I'll be checking GS daily, but only posting if i have stuff to say, or replying to anything asked of me. Time to get this Murdertrain a rolling again.

The Hell, I still have this thing?

Coming back here has this odd taste of nostalgia and horror. I don't really know why i'm posting this, perhaps just for the sake of it? I am pretty bored right now.

Anybody still active here? Or have the days involving people i actually knew crumbled to dust finally? Ahh either way, i guess it's irrelevant. Maybe i do count as still active, i post like crazy on GFAQs various boards, does that technically make this account active too?

Well whatever. I think i end up checking this site like yearly now, if that. Would be cool to hear from some old faces but if not, then oh well.

    The most expensive corner EVER.

Firstly, i'll open with A REALLY awesome picture.

Now that's out of the way, on to the real issue.

I got really bored a moment ago, and i so i took a couple of pics of what has been dubbed the 'Gaming Corner' of my house. Take a look at the wonderful things on display.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Isn't it all so amazingly Beautiful?

My Gaming corner. X-box 360 and PS3, hooked up to a 26" HDTV. Not the biggest HDTV, but it fits the space nicely. Also have a Transformers movie poster above and behind the TV. (Megatron's 'Destroy' Poster, the Optimus 'Protect' one is next to my PC *strokes it* )

Plus the most awesome little figure ever, the Bonecrusher toy from the latest TF movie. (the guy who runs down a highway and smashes the bus in half. He's the little brown toy you can see between the 360 and the 'Shadow of the Colossus' Case. The PS3 is the big black box in the second pic below the 360, hard to see i suppose. Underneath the PS3 controller on the left is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, by far one of the best releases for PS3 so far, check it out if you haven't already.

Guess that's me done for another blog, and you have a little more insight into my gaming life.

Take care, and may Hax, Norse god of gaming, be with you!
