Haven't updated in a while!
I've been so busy with school, cross country, and band that I haven't updated in a while.
School is going good! I'm not really where I want to be in terms of branching out, but hopefully swimming will change everything. AP European History is not as bad as I thought it would be. My class in nine people. NINE! That means it's like a little family. I'm keeping a log of all of the funny quotes that go on during class, and I'm hoping to distribute them at the end of the year to everyone. AP Lang/Comp isn't that bad either, it's just a lot of reading. Because of these two classes (and my hard math course) I'm staying up really late these days.
Marching band has been somewhat successful. I'm much better on the french horn than the mellophone and my mellophone is broken, which means I can't play like half of the notes I'm expected to. I'm getting the hang of marching down and yesterday we went to a band competition and got 1st place in some category! I wasn't really paying attention, ha. I feel bad because most of my time for practicing is taken up by cross country, and I feel like the band director is getting pissed off.
Cross country has taken a bad turn. I've been sick for about 3 weeks now. I was sick for a week, getting better for a week, and now I'm sick again. I scored a PR of 18:40 for 5k at the Paul Short run, but my time hasn't improved since I've been sick. I completely died yesterday, running a little over 21 minutes. I was so embarrased. Hopefully by districts I'll be healthy and score my best time yet!

Just an update on how my summer has been going so far:
My summer's been going great since I last posted! Everything seems to be working in my favor, it's great! So cross country started less than a week ago (July 6th) and we're running 6 times a week now (We have 2-a-day's, where we practice twice in one day) and we run about 40 minutes at a faster pace. I'm determined to improve this year to make up for last year. Freshman year I improved by about 5 minutes (I was really slow in the beginning, but my time got real good by the end of the year) and last year I dropped by time by one second. This year no matter how tired I am, I am going to keep working hard.
Also, it's been great to see all of my friends from the cross country team. There is a little bit of drama because a few people don't get along very well and I just want to have fun instead of have any arguments. Wehave a lot of fun things planned this year like the Dairy Queen run and hanging out and having parties. I'm hoping that we can put together a scavenger hunt like we did two years ago. Also me and a few of the other runners are doing an annual Starbucks run, when we don't feel like running, we just run about 8 minutes to Starbucks, sit down, eat, and run back.
Monday I start band! I'm really excited for it because it seems like a lot of fun. Basically, I will be in the marching band so I'll be hanging out with my friends at the football games and then after the football games we'd go somewhere. I'm kind of nervous because I haven't played for a few years, but I don't feel like getting lessons because I can just look up the keys for my instrument online.
Also, hanging out with my friends everyday has been great! Jill just got back from Boston, so I've been hanging out with her. We usually just walk around town and visit Michelle when she gets home from work. Tonight I'm going to stay all night and morning at a friend's house and I'll get to see my friend John who moved about a year ago. It should be great!

Summer!
So far my summer has been great!
As soon as school let out, I've pretty much been going out every night, though I haven't in about two days because one of my friends is down the shore, and it would just be the two of us (me and my friend Michelle). I've had driver's ed which is kind of a bummer because it's three hours, but I only have a few classes left. Then I have to work on summer assignments.

Pretty much I've just walked around town with my friend Jill and then went to my friendMichelle's house after we walked around. It's always a lot of fun hanging out with my best friends, though one of my best friends lives 30 minutes away. I will get to see him this weekend hopefully though!
Other then that, I went to my friend Marissa's house for a movie night with a few other kids. We walked to a small store and then went back and watched Fight Club, which was kind of confusing, but amazing! I loved it, I just didn't quite get the ending, maybe I need to watch it again?
Then I had a pool day with three of my other friends, which was great! We swam and took a lot of pictures and played badminton.
This weekend, I'm hosting a badminton tournament at my house with a lot of my friends. I split it up into four teams of two, though I kind of feel bad because two people were put on a team and they don't really know each other. I wanted to be with my friend Danielle, Michelle wanted to be with Maura, and John and Jill are best friends, so I just kind of put those two together.
Other then this, I have a few more parties planned, but no big plans like vacation or anything for the summer.
