My Friends

Welcome To A Personal Hell

  • 6Feb 08

I havent been around much lately yet again I have been busy! I see that most people I have made friends with on here over the year or so I have been a member have also either been busy or have a busy time coming to them so Im going to join that queue of people lol .....

I havent had much time for gaming with the family needing my attention. Last saturday was my son's 2nd birthday so I spent most of the day with him! My daughters are in full time school and either need help with their homework or reading books and so on and this week I have to take the baby down to their school so they can have school photographs taken! such joy.

I have played maybe 2 games and didnt think much of them to be honest with you, I played Bloodrayne the storyline seemed to be interesting but for me that was about all that game had for me, I didnt like the camer panning, didnt like the controls and pretty much didnt like the whole game and the same goes for the Castlevania game that I had for me they were all flash no substance. Also I did give Resident evil 4 a go and well that was just a disaster I find the controls way too slow and by the time you have perfect aim on a zombie its already lynched you and your dead, so maybe i will sell that game or give it another try before i pass it on.

So now I am heavily considering going for a God of War 1 NUR god mode run because well they are the only games that I have played in a long time that has managed to keep my attention in the game for longer than 5 seconds at a time. Also I have had my new computer and now its just time and effort to get everything i want back on to the thing! So I am hoping that I will be able to get my 8,000 worth of music files back on here soon and then there is all my paint shop pro stuff that I have collected so I can then maybe get back into e-mail signature taggin once again.

Still havent had my copy of Saw IV through yet I am going to phone them yet again and complain like mad because when I did call them they said they recieved it 3 days after I had posted it 1st class recorded delivery! whats up with that ? .... Then the rep I spoke to told me that their returns department are still bogged down with the Christmas returns and he cant tell me when they will get around to dealing with my order, and asked me if I wanted a new one or a full refund, I told him that I had been anticipating that movie since I heard it was in production I would like a brand new unscratched working copy, and then he said ok no problem I will put in that order for you and you should get it within the next 28 working days.

Of course I went stark raving mental about that, because I had pre-ordered that movie on the 1st of January had to wait nearly a month before they released it over in the USA, then had to send it back and now I have to wait like another month and he said well im sorry but we have gone out of stock of that item we will get it to you as soon as we can all I can do is apologise to you. So im not too well pleased with all this, Hope everyone is alright out there and sorry that i havent commented on any blogs or spoken to you personally just I am a very busy woman these days. Hope to speak to you soon Byeeeeeeee

I've been well excited since I found I can order the region 1 dvd version online, only to have it posted to me on the 17th of January well before the release date of 22nd of January. Well today it turned up on my doormat only for me to open it up and discover that the disc is scratched to hell and back.

The manufacterers who put the DVD into its dvd case hadnt put it tight into the DVD bed and it has popped out and the inners of it has scratched the disc I dont want to play it get half way through the movie only to have to switch it off because I can not wtach it due to it freezing or locking up every couple of seconds, so I have got in touch with PlayUSA.com told them about the problem.

They were ever so appologetic to me, the person I spoke to couldnt say he was sorry for the inconvenience that was caused to me with this fault on the item, and that he would send me an e-mail with returns information and I was to send it back and they would get me a new copy of Saw IV.

So all that waiting only to have my hopes dashed in 0.5 seconds flat!!! I have to send the damn thing back and wait for another one so that could take anything upto 7 to 10 days with the postal service and then their returns department dealing with the return and then them getting a new copy out to me! So I will be able to post what I think of it when I actually get a working copy!

The 22nd of january is fast approaching and I for one can not wait for it to arrive. I finally have something to look forward too for me for once instead of one of the kids. Saw Iv is coming out on DVD in the USA and I managed to find a site called PlayUSA.com that sells region 1 DVDs. I was originally searching Play.com that only does British DVDs. So of course I had to pre-order myself a copy as I have been waiting for this one since I watched the 3rd Movie sometime last year.

If I had waited for the British to release the DVD I would of had to wait until the 3rd of March this year, and I was surprised by the gap in release dates for the same movie. So I think I will be using more of that site now for the DVDs that I really want as I have a region free DVD player and now I can get all the top titles that i will enjoy a lot earlier than I would if I waited for the UK to release them!!!!

I have 2 children who are in full time education and this weeks homework was for my oldest daughter was to write out a healthy main course meal with a healthy dessert and then colour it in make it look snazy and stuff, and then my youngest daughter come home with a paper plate and we were to make a plate of healthy food for them to take in, be it cut out food from a magazine or make our own out of paper, colouring or painting them in and so on you get the idea.

Well since that british chef Jamie oliver stuck his nose into how children get fed at schools its gone way out of control. Schools over here I dont know about anywhere else but here they have taken away all the fried type foods like fries, burgers and so on and brought in things like salad and grilled food. They have stopped the children from drinking soda and eating chocolate and potato chips. Also my oldest daughter was told that she needed to take in her own bottle so she could fill it with water and drink it whenever she wanted too, before that they used to have a small bottle of milk in the mornings and a digestive biscuit.

I dont mind them bringing in the whole healthy eating but in moderation, I mean introduce them along with the fried foods and let the children pick what they want to eat because there are some children who will eat fresh fruit and vegetables and then there are the children who wont eat them simply because they dont like thme or because they have never had the chance to eat them. But I mean come on banning food in a school you have got to be joking, I live in Wales but I have heard that in England they are stopping thechildren and searching their packed lunches and taking out all the junk food, I mean come on where do they get off on telling us as parents what we can and can not feed our children ? Its getting way beyond a joke they are making children these days way too health concious and its not right they will turn into nutcases if the government are not careful

Today I turned 24! Same crap different day is all I still feel the same and all ive had all day is feel any different ? and im like why am i supposed to feel different just feels like i did when i was 23. Yeah so not much going on with me at the moment pretty boring really. Still playing god of war on god mode. I am only gettinga small amount of hours on the game as i can not play it in front of my children.

I can not wait for the 22nd of this month as Saw IV is being released in the states, and yes I know I am in the UK and under a different region but I have a region 1 DVD player, so I found a site called PlayUSA.com and I have ordered myself a copy and im so excited as its been getting some good reviews.

I am also getting that little bit closer to getting some money together so I can buy myself a new computer system and give this laptop back to my mom! I prefer to use a desktop much more than a laptop thats for sure. I am also like a friend of mine having to write this via TV.com as Gamespot are having problems with the blog sections so I hope that they get that fixed pretty soon.

I have been a fan of clive barker for 10 years now, I know I shouldnt of watched the movies for another 5 years before I started but hey my mom didnt know and I was a rebelious teenager who knew it all. Well I decided to buy the book that he wrote before the classic cult horror was made into a movie in 1987and boy what a big let down it was. I wish I hadnt of bothered getting the book now it makes the movie look 10x better when its supposed to be the other way around, the books are supposed to be better than the actual movies because the writer has much more time to lead up to an intimidating scene or a crucial part of the storyline.

The book was 128 pages of pure boredom! I have never been let down so much by a book seriously. For starters the book was completely different to the movie that was made. The way they described the female cenobite was actually the way they portrayed Pinhead the lead cenobite, the torture before they ripped him apart was much better than the movies. The main characters in the movie were called Larry and Julia a husband and wife, the husband and wife part is the same in the book but the name of the male has been changed to Rory. In the movie Larry had a daughter called Kirsty from a previous marriage, in the book they were just a group of friends so that was off putting as well. Also there was a scene in the movie where Julia and Frank got together and well you know what happened, in the book he was supposed to have forced her to have the more then brother and sister in law relationship, so that to me was a whole new storyline and shouldnt of been done.

Maybe it was me expecting too much of a book, but there again I am a huge fan of Stephen King also and find that his books are also descriptive to a great deal that the movies they make out of his book do tend to be true to the storylines they are never changed drastically like they have done with Clive Barker's Hellraiser. Maybe watching the movie before reading the book destroyed the feeling of the book I dont know maybe someone out there can agree with me or maybe they can disagree with me and shed some light on it from their perspective.

Also with the re-make coming out this year, I am not too sure about watching it neither as Clive is writting the onscreen production himself and I am pretty sure that he didnt have as much say in the original one like he is having with this one. Also looking on the Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB) site they have not announced who is going to be in the movie yet, so that is a little unerving as I have read somewhere that Doug Bradley the original man behind Pinhead has not been approached to play him in the re-make so that is going to put me off also if they chose someone else as Hellraiser turned 20 last year and its taken him almost 20 years to perfect the role of pinhead.

So now that I have read the book I have been waiting like nearly 4 years to read I have decided to give myself a change and read some Patricia Cornwell, I only ever read horror novels but I have decided to try something new as my husband has ever book of hers and enjoys them and says they are worth reading as they are similar to the CSI series on the TV and I watch that occasionaly when I am bored. There has been no room for gaming with me yet as the children are still off from school, so i am waiting on them going back and maybe I can cram a few hours in each night of God of War on the God run that GMG is so graciously helping me out with when I need his assistance. Hope you all had a wonderful new years eve and stayed safe I will leave you with this now and get on with surfing for new gaming Ideas.

2007 Has been an eventful year even for me. The biggest happy memory I will take away from 2007 is marrying my long term partner of 7 years and no doubt that will stay with me for many years to come yet. Also making new friends on here is something that was fun for me so i will cherish that as well, not really a person to list my best's of what year as they constantly change lol im a fickle woman at the best of times, so I will leave you with that and wish you all a very safe and well happy new year!

5 Days to go before Christmas arrives, Just wanted to wish everyone at Game spot a Merry Christmas and a happy new year, hope you all get what you have been hoping for. I am just hoping for a quiet affair but there again that said and done I have 3 children so I doubt I am going to get that much of a quiet christmas lol ..... I will most prob end up teaching my 6 year old how to play the Nintendo DS that she has for christmas and get another female gamer into the world!

Whilst I am here writing just noticed that my level has gone back up again, I logged on the other night to level 14 86.86% complete, I logged off thinking nothing of it. Couple of hours later I logged back on to find I was back at level 1 with 0% complete, still paid no attention to it. Logged on the next morning and I was at level 6 with 0%, so I decided to go to the main forums and ask what was going on. I was then directed to another board and more or less half of game spot complaining that the level glitch has re-appeared and not to worry about it as it would soon all be sorted out. Well looks like it has been sorted as now I am back to my rightful level.

On a slightly different note again, I have been playing God Of War 1 this past couple of weeks and I am happy to say that I have beaten the game on Spartan mode (hard) I am slowly working my way through challenge f the gods. I joined an God of War union and the help I have had there has been awesome the user GMG is someone to be admired for his knowledge on the game and having the patients with people like me who have none to help them. After I have done this I don't know what I will do either I will play God of War again on God mode which is the hardest level or go back to God Of War 2 and play on titan mode and also complete the challenge of the Titans.

After I have finished doing those games to their complete length I dont know what I will play, maybe I will play some Lara croft or I might just go back and play the prince of persia they seem to be on the same lines as God of War. Thats if my daughter doesnt steal my PS2 since I bought her Bratz the movie for it! And I have come to the decision of I am going to get the PS3 rather than the Xbox 360, I am a Sony fan at heart and I don't think i would be satisfied with the Xbox but thanks for all the feed back and I have noticed that Oblivion has come out for the PS3 so that is one title I will definitely be getting.

I was just reading the home page and the news section and came across the story of the BBFC overturning the decision to have Manhunt 2 banned in the UK. Its a good day for the adults in the gaming world, as the first one was sadly singled out when a child took this game and re-enacted it on the streets and murdered someone. Yes it is sad for the murder victims family, but where was that childs mother when he was playing this game in his bedroom. She didnt check the content of the game and she didnt even buy the game for him.

I personally think that the all the big stores who sell these games are somewhat at the centre of the blame game because it is extremely hard to tell these days how old a child is without having an ID card to show at the counter. But I also think that parents should play a big part in the blame game also, they need to be checking the content that their children are watching and it will stop all the bannng of videos games, otherwise in my own personal opinion t is only going to get worse. Where is the banning going to stop. Are they gong to start banning violent acton movies ? WHy not even ban Horror movies as well because they can be just as bad and influential to the younger mind!!

Ok after posting yesterday on mt blog about the Xbox 360 I took all your comments into consideration and I have got myself into saving for one! Along with the games that you have so kindly suggested that I check out, so I am going to be busy with my money in the new year.

I start searching the games that I am interested in like for instance God of War 3, and its going to be a PS3 exclusive because its being made by SCEA in Santa Monica, so the review thing said anyway, so Now I am going to have to get a PS3 as well for what ? One damn game that I like, thats the only reason I bought the original Xbox! So as you can imagine I am not very happy about this now I only hope that Tomb Raider 8 which is currently a working title will be made for multi format consoles like they did with Legend!

Also if anyone can think of some really good games that are a must get for the system let me know because I am thinking about getting the xbox 360

You only really get a sense of how stressful the Christmas holidays are when you become a parent. You understand what pressure there is on the parents to provide their children with what they are asking for. I finally found out how stressful it was this year. I have a 6 year old daughter who has watched me mess around with the nintendo ds and the dalmatians and friends nintendogs game.

Constantly she would comment on how when she was older she was going to havea pink ds and the nintendogs game to play. So this year in September I decided to place an order with a mail catalogue thing for a nintendo ds with a couple of games for it for nearly £170 for christmas for her.

Needless to say the nintendo ds and games did not arrive in september and when i called them back I was advised that it would be delivered to me by October, I waited until October and still no show of what I had ordered, I was then advised that it would be with me by the 2nd of November. Again I waited for it and still no show, called them again and was told to wait until the 16 or 17th of November, still didnt arrive so called them back and they told me that Nintendo have made so many promises to people this year that they simply can not supply every order and they are working like mad to complete backdated orders and get them sent out i was to wait until the first week of december for my order. I told them to stuff it and went out and bought one just the system no extra games for it for a little under £100.

I didnt think with so little time left to xmas that I would finally get my hands on one for my 6 year old daughter who was and still is desperate for one, so its a good job that i didnt tell her that she was going to get one.

I've come to realise I have now been a member of gamespot for oever 2 years now and I have done so much in my time on here, I mean I have written reviews, uploaded videos, done a lot of taggin, watched some cool news reviews and read some as well with all the new games coming out.

Then I found all the unions where they say is the best place to find friends, I have joined an countless amount of unions that I have no interest in just out of politness for the invitation that has been sent to me via my unions part of my gamespot site. I was a member of at least 15 unions and after sorting them out I have found that I am only really interested in like 6, so why be a member of so many unions and not to mention you join them to make friends and half of the people in the union are only interested in the game not making friends through similar interests.

I was just looking through my game collection and noticed I had 2 of these games in there, and was wondering if anyone out there can tell me if they are worth playing. I mean do they have a great storyline, lots of action and puzzles, because at the moment I am finishing off my god of war games and need something else to fill the empty space when im done. So can anyone out there in the gamespot community let me know if they have played or heard about these games and if they are worth playing thanks guys

I havent been around on gamespot much recently, I guess I kinda lost my passion for playing games for a little while. That was until I came accross Kratos and God of War 2. I played that one and fell in love with the instantly. So I found an excellent walk through guide and played that none stop in my spare time when the children were in bed, I have managed to complete easy and spartan modes on the game now im considering going for the God and Titan modes of the game. But then I bought a new game and couldnt wait to check it out. Yes it was the original God oF War that came out.

I've only just started playing the 1st god of war so I cant really say if I like it better than the second one yet, but I cant wait to get further into the game. I dont know about others out there in the gaming community agree with me or not but for me this game also has a little bit of an educational curve, I have always liked Greek mythology, just with having 3 children my home life can be a little bit busy from time to time so I never really had the chance to look it up or learn anything about it. So this game is giving me in insight into all the gods and their position in Olympus. When I get my own computer up and running again and im not using my moms lap top i will be writting a review of both games.

Nothing much new is going on with me at the moment apart from getting back into my gaming and trying to take my children to school everyday but that is proving to be a task in itself with them bringing home bugs that make them sick all the time lol .... So now i am waiting for them to get better so I can take them back to school

I decided to buy this game after looking it up on gamespot and on retailers sites the other day, I havent played it yet because its an 18 classification and I have 3 children that are really too young to be watching a game like that. If anyone out there has played it dont hesitate to come and give spoilers or views on the game all the info given will be much appreciated

Ok here comes a rant so if you dont want to read it I suggest you dont read any further, and please dont PM me with abusive behaviour, what I write on this blog space is my personal thoughts and opinions you can either agree or disagree with me, because at the end of the day every human being that breaths in oxygen on this planet has that right!

They took in this childs mother yesterday for questioning, and they are still saying that they have left no area of this story unturned and whatever. Yeah that as maybe but the forensic evidence is suggesting other wise, or the police wouldnt have takenthem both back in for intensive questioning, the mother could hardly look at the cameras. Is that a look of shame or embarressment on her behalf ? who knows only she knows the answer.

But what I am having a problem with more than anything here with this story is, that they took her on holiday and on the last night they decided to leave their children because they have a set of twins also. They left those children on their own in a foreign country with no one to look after them and they were about a 5 minute walk away. Anything could of happened to those children, they could of choked to death on something, they could of suffered a serious illness suddenly as you know that some do just come on and i presonally think that 4 year old child was not old enough to take care of younger siblings!!!

These parents should of been arrested and charged with neglect and abondoment. Back in the UK similar charges would have been applied already not so much a muder charge but neglect because of what they done to their children they simply broke the law, yet there they are travelling around the world trying to find their "precious" little girl, getting more and more media coverage where they should be serving time in prison already. Call me heartless or whatever you like, but I am a mother of 3 children, I have 2 little girls that are one year either side of Madeleines age, and I would never ever think about leaving my children unattended in my own country nevermind a foreign country where anything could happen to them.

From the title of this post you most probably dont know what I'm talking about to I will let you all know here. I have been with my partner for nearly 7 years in January and we got engaged when I fell pregnant with my 1st child. Well another 2 children followed that one, so all the parents out there know that it can be a struggle with one working parent and the other at home looking after house and family so we havent had the money to do the final stage which is get married.

So with my computer going down about a week or so ago now, we came into a bit of money and decided to manage with sharing my mothers laptop, and use some of that money to tie the knot. We have the date and we are doing the deed on Friday the 19th of October at 2:30pm UK time...... So to all of you out there who know me and those of you who dont know me Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!
