  Rant 5 - The Idiocy of Game Companies

  First, let me tell you my definition of the word "Idiot", you're an idiot if:

  1. You're a smart person but made a stupid decision
  2. Someone on CoD MW 1/2 or more recently Bad Company who doesn't know how the game is supposed to be played, and
  3. Just plain did something that wasn't in the logic of the damn thing!!!

  Now, I'd like for you to fix your attention on Activision and Infantry Ward. You've seen the news surrounding these two companies recently, how the lead designers of IW had fled to EA and started suing Activision and back and forth and soon, people from IW start following what the lead designers did AND sued Activision AGAIN!!!

  Now, I've called a lot of people Idiot in the past; my Best friend, my girlfriend, my siblings etc. But what these companies did in this time and period of the beginning of the decade is Suing each others' butt off. The Lawyers are really into this now is it? Making money and all by these two HUMUNGOUS IDIOTS OF COMPANIES!!! I JUST DON'T GET IT!!!! WHAT DID A COMPANY DO THAT WAS SO STUPID THAT TWO FREAKING INDIVIDUALS HAD TO "Eff-ing" SUE THEIR DUMB MINDS!!!!? NOT THAT ITS A PROBLEM AND ALL BUT I DON'T SEE THE POINT!!!

  In the old days all someone would do if something went wrong was to discuss it and tell them what the "eff" is their grievances and solve it in hand. UNFORTUNATELY, Activision and IW don't really see eye to eye, EVEN THOUGH MW 2 SOLD LIKE A HAJILLION COPIES ALREADY AND ADDED TO POOLS OF MONEY ACTIVISION HAVE IN THEIR ESTATE IN HAWAII!!!

  I don't get the logic of all this comotion with Activision and IW unless:

  • Its a stunt, to get publicity
  • Its an act just so people would pay more for the next game EA/Activision gonna release.
  • THEY'RE FREAKING IDIOTS!!!!

  God, I dunno if this is just me or just some idiot act people think is amusing.

  Whoever reads this, I thank you for reading an opinion of a hard head idiot.

  Thinking Back...

  Now while I am a critic of some of the modern genres, them being a change from the first time they've ever been conceived, made me wonder why do they get o good as they do now? Is it the wide a ppeal of games that came out of the user's butthole, spewing only few good ideas due to "Hardware Compatability Issues" or is it that its just too much money to put something extra to the software rather than the hardware, when the PS1 had back then become a best seller due to 'technological advancement". Sure 3D is the way to go nowadays but my eyes hurt so much of what developers try to do nowaday with "Epic Scale", "Full In-Game Rendering", "More control to the user" and "The Modern Warfare syndrome (Which refers to the fact that your character can survive gunshots by just waiting for your bloodstains to go away)"

  Now I dont really hate this but, I wished that developers would go back to a much more simpler times, with simpler gameplay and systems that incorporate the game, and no BOLLOCKS about complicating the system with tiny tweaks to the gameplay that are present on today's fighting game especially with Tekken 6's Rage and Bound system, giving an unfair tone to would be fighters. Graphics is no big deal, because sometimes a beautiful game can enhance the experience but go too far, you might give me a headache or worse seizures. Developers should realise that too much realism will put some people off, because reality is something we need to get away from when playing this game. Demon's Souls is a good example of a game that I think I can say is simple. Its beautiful but not too bright, it has a simple gameplay system that say: "Kill bad guy, avoid dying and if you do start again." To this day, I still play the damn thing.

  Now a question to you guys, What do you wish the developers changed in today's games? If you do, why? if you won't why?
