  Bioshock

  I finally got my hands on Bioshock a week after release. I've only had a little bit of time to play it and have only gotten started. But this game is awesome. The reviews of the game have been generally very favorable. But like anything else, you'll find people complaining about the most minute of things. Seeing as I only get about an hour or two a week to play the game, it's everything I expected of the game based on the demo that I enjoyed.

  Go Patriots

  This is entirely not gaming related, but I just wanted to cheer a bit for my New England Patriots. What an awesome game! I was sitting at the edge of the seat for the whole game.
  
  LT is sure awesome, and with a little more experience, Rivers will be great. But Marty's gotta go!
  
  Let's hope that the Pats can come up with a way of taking care of Manning next week and crumbling whatever confidence the Colts defense has been picking up for the past couple of weeks..

  Gears of War

  I guess I had been talking so much about "Gears this" and "Gears that" to my wife that she decided to buy it for me for Christmas. I had seen a lot of videos of the first 10-15 minutes of the game, so when I played the game, the story was familiar to me.
  
  However, the brilliant graphics is something only appreciated yourself on a HDTV. And my Samsung 50" DLP just shines with any of these games.
  
  I played the campaign for about an hour, getting familiar with the controls and mechanics before trying multi player and found that my skillz aren't up to par yet.
  
  It is a little annoying being a noob in Gears multi player cuz there is no respawn. So when you die, you become a spectator. Perhaps with a few more hours under my belt, I'll be able to get a little farther in the round than the first 10 seconds.
  
  All in all, I've enjoyed what I've seen of Gears of War thus far and can't wait to continue my campaign against the Locust hordes!
