I'm finally 19!! It's 3am so haven't celebrated yet but already had loads of nice texts and messages so I'm happy!! Not so happy about being at the end of my teenage years!!

Since Alexandra Burke won X-Factor at around 10:30pm I haven't stopped listening and watching her emotional performance of Hallelujah!! I have tears falling from my eyes now because it's such an amazing song and she was the best on the show and is going to have an amazing career!!

Here's the link to the video which I hope you all watch, it's the saddest when all the contestants come on stage when the choir join in... http://xfactor.itv.com/videos/video-detail/item_200636.htm

THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!!

If you don't know who Libera are, they are an extremely talented choir of young boys from South London who are recognised all over the world for their beautiful, angelic voices.

You can hear them at the moment on the Waitrose Christmas advert...

Anyway, they are amazing!! And I've come to 'preach' about them!!

Although I don't consider myself to be religious, I believe greatly in the Christmas story and have done since I was a child and that will never change. Because of this I love Christmas carols more than anything else in the world and listen to them whether it's June or December!! I always feel spiritual at Christmas but this year I feel even more so as I have discovered this group. Their soulful harmonies will draw you in until you have a melted heart and a smile on your face... (cheesy I know!!)

I highly suggest you Youtube 'Libera' and listen to how wonderful they are. At Christmas it is even better

Libera have recently sang alongside the famous Aled Jones (Snowman guy lol) performing many classic Christmas carols. On Christmas Eve in the UK the show (Aled Jones' Christmas Carols) will be broadcast on Christmas Eve on ITV1.

At the moment I am listening to O Little Town Of Bethlehem from the above show, and if you have any sense at all you will watch the video and be blown away

    Thanks for reading!! Merry Christmas!!

Hi everyone!! It has been absolutely ages since I've been on this website (3 months) and I thought today I'd write a blog!! Life is good at the moment. I'm on Christmas holidays next week but I'm home from university to do a work placement at my home primary school at the moment. It's nice seeing my family again because I've only been home once since September but I already miss my uni friends. Thank goodness for MSN and Skype!! Next week it's my birthday and I'm turning 19!! I feel so old!! Only one more year left as a teenager... scary thought!! I'm excited though, but not as excited as I am about Christmas!! For the past month I've been annoying my floormates by singing Christmas songs nonstop, and now Christmas is only 17 wonderful days away... good times!! I hope you're all well and everything has been good the past 3 months... xxx

Hey all... long time no speak

At the moment, everything is just fantastic...

. I got my university accommodation sorted.
. I got my student loan.
. I've got 2 of the books I need for my course, and I have 2 more to get.
    . I got paid today.
    . I got a nice new phone.

    Ahhhhhh so excited about university!!

This weekend I drove my friend and I to my Dads cottage where we stayed for a few days. We had loads of fun in the car, speeding down country roads with loud R'n'B music blasting from the stereo. We went down to the beach and got fish and chips, went on country walks, and watched loads of films in the evening. It was so much fun!!

    Hope you're all well

    I GOT INTO UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!!

I'm sooooooooooo happy!! For the next 3 years I will be studying to be a primary school teacher!! I can't believe I actually got in!!

Of course there's still fees to sort out etc etc but hey...

I got a B for English, D for psychology and D for religious studies. To be honest I am a little disappointed I didn't get at least a C, but still, I'M GOING TO UNI!!

    Good luck everyone!! X

In approximately 10 hours I will find out if I've got into university

I'm soooooooooo nervous!! Especially as I think I haven't got the grades...

Then again, last year I did well and I thought I'd failed, so I'm hoping that I'll get lucky again. All I know is I didn't put in as much effort as I could have, so whatever happens happens.

Still, it would be nice to pass

Good luck to anyone getting A-level/AS results and to GCSE students next week

    LEGENDARY. FILM!!

I got back an hour ago from seeing the latest Batman film, and I can safely say that no film will live up to it for a long time!!

Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker definitely deserves an oscar!! Words can't explain how great he was!! He was funny, psychotic, dark, violent, mad... everything The Joker stands for. And once again Christian Bale gave a great performance as Batman himself.

The plot was good. The effects were good. The actors were good. End of.

GO AND SEE IT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

Have a good weekend everyone x

    Hola mes amigos!!

    How are you all??

I'm in quite a good mood today... the toothache has completely gone and work life is looking up as I'm getting closer to more of my collegues.

Today I watched the saddest film ever!! In my 18 years of existance I've only cried during 4 films... 5 if you include the one I watched today... and I mean crying crying!! Tears, sobs, the whole shabang!!

    1. What Girls Learn
    2. Who Will Love My Children?
    3. Armageddon
    4. Rent
    5. The Bucket List (today's film)

I watched 'The Bucket List' with my mum and at the end we were both in hysterics!! I recommend it to anyone who loves a good comedy drama

Lol that is all really... nothing else to say... but I've got to be up in 5 hours to get ready for work... so bye bye!! xxx

    1. I only got 2 hours sleep because my wisdom teeth are coming in and it bloody kills!! I'm scared of tablets so I couldn't take any painkillers so it was worse. My face was swolen on one side and I was up at 4am sucking on ice cubes, which didn't really help. Then this morning my mum gave me some Bonjela and it's helped a lot.

    2. My water bottle leaked in my bag so all my stuff got ruined and on the bus/tube my lap was soaked because of the water. Consequently, I only had half a bottle of water to last me 8 hours.

    3. I couldn't eat my pathetic lunch which consists of a cereal bar and water because of the previous points. My tooth hurt too much to crunch on the oats etc.

    4. I got my work e-mail address and they spelt my name 'Holly' instead of 'Hollie'. May not seem like a big thing but it's not my name!!

    5. I just generally felt down today. I dunno why

But here are some positives about life at the moment...

    1. I may be getting a Raven tattoo on my ankle!! Now don't think I'm weird!! It'll be small-ish and the design is simple and won't have colour and I think it'll look nice. But I'm scared of needles so haven't decided for definite whether I'm gonna get it.

    2. The weather is staying sunny and warm.

    3. Pay day next week!!

    That is all...
  • 10Jul 08
Well... a week isn't exactly long... but still!!

    How is everyone??

Sorry I haven't been here... but I started work on Monday and as soon as I get home I collapse on the sofa and have a nap!!

I'm working at a county court for 9 weeks and so far it's been good... although I hate getting the tube everyday and my joints have started clicking from carrying heavy files. But the money is good and the people are nice, so I'm not complaining!!

Negative side: All the rain is p***ing me off!! We had a month's rainfall in 24 hours!! It's bloody July!! It should be boiling hot!!

Positive side: I work right next to Masterchef headquarters!!

I best explain... a few months ago I started humming a random song, and then realised it was from a video I used to cherish as a child...

    BARBIE AND THE ROCKSTARS!!

The song was called 'Best Friends' (lol cheesy as a lump of cheddar!!)

I could never find the song or clips from my old video... UNTIL TODAY!! The blessed 4th July!! (btw happy Independence Day to all the Americans out there )

I found one of the old episodes on Youtube and I was so happy... but then it got better when I discovered that the song 'Best Friends' was in the episode (I thought it was in a different one) so I converted the video to MP3 and now I've got the song on repeat!!

I grew up on this video!! Everyday I would push the sofa to the back of the room and copy the dances and sing the songs!!

SOOOOOOOO MANY HAPPY MEMORIES PEOPLE!! SO MANY HAPPY MEMORIES!!

Seriously... I'm a very nostalgic person and a big kid at heart, so finding all this again really means a lot to me...

Here's the link to the video if you're interested!!

    BARBIE AND THE ROCKSTARS!!

The song is 4 minutes 30 seconds in...

In other news... it's my last day working at the primary school (technically today seeing as it's past midnight) and I'm quite sad about it. But I'm going back in September and December to do more work experience. It's their Sports Day today so it should be fun!!

I'm a great mood, and I hope you all are too x

Well, everyone got a least one right

    The following numbers were lies...

    1. I've been stung six times by wasps/bees

I've never been stung in my life, and I'm terrified of wasps/bees. That means that I do indeed have a phobia of needles and no one I know has died (touch wood).

    6. I've been to Sweden

Well, I haven't. The furthest I've travelled is Spain. I do want to do a sky dive, and in 2001 I did indeed read the first 4 books of the Bible on holiday in France

    8. I love the film 'Dirty Dancing'

Big fat lie. I've never even seen the film but I've never felt the need to. It doesn't appeal to me whatsoever. My car is called Kadence lol and I do indeed like religious songs/music even though I don't believe in God. Infact, I'm listening to 'Avalon - In Not Of' which is a Christian song.

    10. I'm not a virgin

I'm very proud of the fact this is a lie. I haven't found the right guy yet, but I'm sure one will come along!! I do want to call my first born daughter Arielle, and it's embarrassingly true that I couldn't ride a bike (without stabilizers) until I was 11!!

    15. I'm allergic to plums

I've never even tried plums, and the only allergy I have is that I get grass rashes if I sit on hot grass. I've never eaten baked beans because they look, smell and feel digusting, and my favourite colour is green.

Well now you all know a little bit more about me
  • 30Jun 08
I copied this from Lyokophantom (and I really hope she doesn't mind!!) because it seems fun...

In each cluster there are 2 true sentences and 1 lie... you need to guess the 5 lies out of 15!!

Just post a comment saying the 5 numbers you think are lies and I'll tell you all tomorrow if you're right... so good luck

    1. I've been stung six times by wasps/bees.
    2. I have a phobia of needles.
    3. No one I know has passed away.

    4. I want to do a sky dive even though I hate heights.
    5. I read the first 4 books of the Old Testament on holiday after receiving a Bible when I left primary school.
    6. I've been to Sweden.

    7. My car is called Kadence.
    8. I love the film 'Dirty Dancing'.
    9. I like religious music/films but I'm agnostic.

    10. I'm not a virgin.
    11. I want to call my first born daughter Arielle.
    12. I couldn't ride a bike until I was 11.

    13. My favourite colour is green.
    14. I've never eaten baked beans.
    15. I'm allergic to plums.

    Why, you may ask??

Because I've got a bloody cold, a hangover and I only got 4 hours sleep (if you could call it that)... annnnnnd then had to drive 100 miles to see family friends today!!

Annnnnnnnd it took us twice as long to get there because there were delays on the motorways... but it was worth the journey because we haven't seen these family friends in years, and we grew up together!! It was really nice catching up with them...

Plus, the car journey was hilarious. My mum kept shoving sweets in my mouth and my sister kept complaining whenever we opened the windows. On the way back we sang really random songs, such as Lord Of The Dance (which I'm listening to now because it's catchy.)

Saturday night was great. It was my friend's 18th so we went into London and ended up going to a very expensive club!! Luckily I'd got more money out, otherwise it wouldn't have been good. But it was worth the money because it was sooooo much fun, especially when really random people came and danced with me.

Luckily it's an inset day tomorrow at the school I'm helping in, so I can have a nice lie in with a hot water bottle

    Hey all

Here are my 10 random facts...

    1. I have a very good memory and can recall things from when I was 4, which freaks some people out...

    2. There's nothing I like more than watching the clouds go by when on the motorway (preferably when my Dad is driving otherwise I would crash!!)

    3. I dunno whether or not I believe in God... but I feel religious when I sing christmas songs...

    4. When I was 11 I fell backwards off a swing and fractured my elbow, and now I have this scar on my right elbow from the operation...

(Btw it's got those red marks because I scraped it when I fell over at a party. I took this pic just now...)

    5. It took me 4 attempts to pass my driving test, and after 3 days I scratched the car parking in the dark...

    6. I want a tattoo, but I dunno what of yet...

    7. Everytime I watch Armageddon, I cry like a baby...

    8. My favourite colour is green...

    9. No one I know has ever died, so I have no idea what death is like, but I'm not looking forward to that experience...

    10. I read Teen Titans fanfictions every day...

Sorry if they weren't very interesting .

Work experience is going very well!! I love working with the kids, even though some of them are extremely rude. Most of them are lovely which is good, and I get on with the teachers, so I'm really enjoying myself and to be honest I don't wanna leave.

Tonight is my school prom, which I am boycotting as I speak!! It started 4 hours ago and I decided not to go (even though I bought a ticket). I didn't go to my year 11 prom either. I'm not the type of girl to get all dolled up in a fancy dress to sit in a hall. I'd much rather go casual to a club with friends. My friends are annoyed that I'm not going, but tough. I don't regret my decision. I went out for a nice italian meal with my mum and her friend, which was nice.

Yesterday it was the strawberry tea at my school and we all ate scones, drank bucks fizz and got our leavers hoodies... it is soooooooooo comfy!!

What has everyone been up to?? x

Today was my first day of work experience at the local primary school where my mum works. I worked there in reception/early years last year and now I'm doing another 2 weeks there with the same class I helped in back then. I must say, I'm shattered!!

I find it harder to disapline the younger children, especially since some of them are so lovely. But there are a few who are waaaaaay to clingy and all they want to do is talk to me and hold my hand/legs!! So annoying

Tomorrow we have to trek up to the church for their big assembly and every year grouop is performing a song. Our song is awful!! Soooooooo tired

    Have a good evening all

Yesterday was an eventful day... I had my Dad's birthday barbeque and my friend's 18th in the evening.

My sister and I didn't need to be at the train station until 3:20pm so we went shopping in the morning to get our Dad a present, but when we got there all the cash machines refused my card, so we couldn't get him anything. Plus I wanted some new tops and they had no nice ones in the Dorothy Perkins where we were.

So we decided to go to our local high street which took 45 minutes to get to because of traffic, and rather annoyingly my card was accepted there and there are no mens clothes shops where we were. But on the plus side I got 2 new tops

Thennnnnnn we had a long tube journey to Victoria then a long train journey to my Dad's house. We were only there for 3 hours because we both needed to be back in London by 8pm.

Another 2 long train journies later we were back in London, and I was on my way to my friend's house. I was absolutely shattered and wasn't in the mood to party, but when I got there it was soooooooo much fun!!

She'd got a bouncy castle shaped like a pub and it was huge. But, loads of alcohol immediately followed by lots of bouncing is not good for the stomach. I like my alcohol and ended up passing out on the bouncy pub 3 times, falling off of it and hitting the ground hard a few times (resulting in a grazed arm) and making a complete fool of myself.

Annnnnnnnd my hair had gone from completely straight to completely curly because of the rain, which really annoyed me!! I kept moaning about it to my friends which annoyed them too.

But yeah, had loads of fun but woke up this morning with a very dry mouth and a stomach ache. And I left my camera at her house so I can't upload my pictures...

Hope everyone had a good saturday x
