I was tagged, so here's 5 things you may not know about me
IppaiMetaru tagged me so now I've got to tell you all 5 things about myself that you probably don't know and give you a better understanding of who I am as a person. I was supposed to think of 10 things but I couldn't think of anything other than 5 without getting too personal. So here it goes.
#1. I'm a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan. About a year ago I began watching the show Hulu. At the time they had the first 3 seasons (but now they've downgraded to only the first) and I immediately fell in love with it. At first I was hooked because of the stink of the 90s on it and it got me nostalgic but as it went on I connected with the characters and found the lore and the world of Buffy to be very engaging. I've watched 5 of the 7 seasons so far and have also watched the first season of Angel (currently watching season 2 through Netflix) which was the spin off series.
#2. I love ALF and own all 4 seasons on DVD.
#3. I own all 5 seasons of Futurama on DVD as well and am very excited to it's 6th season return this June.
This is beginning to focus too much on the TV I watch. Let's move on to movies.
#4. My favorite movie director is Quentin Tarrantino. He's never made a movie I didn't like. Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, and Inglourious Basterds are some of my favorite films ever. But.....
#5. Fight Club is my all time favorite film ever. The ignorant think it's just a movie about guys fighting each other but they'd be wrong. So very, very wrong. It's a film about consumerism, what violence does to people, and a man slowly going insane. Seriously, go watch this movie. Go watch it now. It's amazing and has one of the biggest twists in any film ever.
At this point I'm supposed to tag a for more people for them to also do this. But I'd never want to force anyone to do anything so if you want to go a blog like this then consider yourself tagged.

Well, I'm no longer banned. Explanation is in the blog.
Some of you may have noticed that I was banned about 3 weeks ago. I received a PM saying the reason I was banned because I was associated with an account that had been banned back in 2007. Apparently a public computer I used to sign into Gamespot had been used by the banned person in question and when my friend tried to make himself a Gamespot account they did a background check and saw that I was associated and banned me, my brother, my other friends account, and the new account being created. It's complicated and confusing.
I immediately e-mailed customer support on March 6th and it took until the 25th for them to respond back to me just to say they were working on it. Today I got another e-mail telling me that I was unbanned, including every account that was associated with me which also included the account that was banned on that public computer way back in 2007. Apparently the person who banned that account back then didn't know why he banned it so it was unbanned. So now everyone is happy and I'm no longer associated with a banned person. A person who is no longer banned.
So yeah. I'm back. I just wanted to explain why I was banned so you didn't think I was some scum bag flamming in the forums and getting into trouble.
Anyway, I know it's been a few weeks but I wrote out a very long Alice in Wonderland review that I wanted people to read. Sadly I was banned the next day I wrote it so almost no one got the chance too. If you don't mind please read it and tell me what you think. In fact I'm sure some of you have seen it since I wrote that review so you can tell me why I'm wrong or why you agree with me.

Why BioShock 2 shouldn't exist
I have no interest at all in BioShock 2 and I'll tell you why. When someones creative property is taken away from them for the sole purpose of monetary gain I get very offended. It happens all the time with movies.
A film (or in this case a game) is created with the distinct purpose of being a very well thought out story driven adventure. It has closure and really no room left over for the story to continue. Everything is taken care of and there are no loose ends left to be dealt with. It becomes a very successful property. One that very well may become something of a classic in many people eyes. It sells very well as people want to experience this game (or movie) that some call a masterpiece. It makes a lot of money and the greedy corporate studio heads decide the take advantage of this and milk it for all it's worth. This has happened with many different franchises and each time it does I die a little on the inside. The Terminator franchise comes to mind as an example.
And this is were BioShock 2 comes into play. There is no reason for this game to exist. Everything that needed to be said or see was in BioShock. But the game became popular and made a lot of money and naturally the greedy corporate heads decided to milk it. I feel very strongly that this game should not exist. It does nothing good for anyone except for maybe getting people to play BioShock. It cheapens the first game and takes away a lot of what made that game so good.
BioShock was special. BioShock 2 is not. It feels, plays, and exists solely as a money making machine. I feel like I'm beginning to repeat myself here.
In closing I just want to say that I have no interest in BioShock 2. I may one day play it but I'll try as hard as I can not too. I don't like the idea of the game or the idea that Ken Levine isn't involved and that his creation was taken away from him. I'm fully aware that this happens all the time but for some reason this time it's gotten me worked up.
I do look down on you if you like or play BioShock 2. I'm sorry if that makes you angry or if your offended by that. But I don't think you understand what that game is or what it signifies or why it exists. I think your just blindly jumping into a game because it has the name of the last game and a 2 after the title.
But hey, maybe I'm the only one that cares. Maybe I'm the only one worked up about this whole thing but that's ok. I needed to get it off my chest and I needed to at least tell someone how I feel in hopes that they too will see things from my perspective.
