    Contemporary Classical Composer - Yes!!!

    KJC composer

Having recently been awarded the 2011 Delaware Division of the Arts Fellowship for music composition, I have been doing some self promotion. A concert of my compositions was held in Delaware on Nov. 6 to a wonderful reception and I will be performing at the Philadelphia Clas. Guitar Society's annual Members' Concert on Dec. 11. I will be playing my own composition for solo guitar entitled Kuitra. (click link for youtube video)

The spring will also see several concerts of my works. I will be performing at the Darlington Arts Center on May 5, 2012 and I am working on scheduling a concert elsewhere in the Philadelphia area for the spring (details to come). Visit my website for more information. - www.kevinjcope.com

My online store has also recently been added. A few works are currently available as pdf downloads and a few are available as sheet music that can be shipped to purchasers. There is also an option to commission a solo guitar work from me for $50/page. Check out the store. - EDITION BARASZEWSKI STORE

Recent Purchases: Deus Ex Human Revolution and Nintendo 3DS

    Deus Ex Human Revolution

Wow, what a game. I'll admit that the first few hours bored me to tears and I almost stopped playing, but it really picked up after that and now I can't seem to put it down.

I should note that I was bored at the beginning because I am not much of a sneak around without being seen kind of player. Once I could augment myself to be able to withstand a few gunshots, I could play it more to my liking. Which is to say, that I sneak a little and then shoot people in the face.

Now that I have been playing the game with my own play ****I have been able to avoid frustrations. Thus, the gameplay is really the part that holds my interest. I have only a slight interest in the story, but the game would be dull without that.

    Nintendo 3DS

I admit that while shopping on the loathed Black Friday, I caved a purchased a 3DS. This is in no small part due to the drastic price cut and Mario bundle. I was looking for a DS, which I have never owned, that would be a reasonably low price and found that the 3DS was only $30 more and it is newer. How could I resist! I love Mario, I actually like the idea of 3DS (suck it!), and it is backwards compatible for DS games. This means that I was able to purchase the (hopefully) amazing Scribblenauts! I've wanted to play this for ages, so now I can. I can also get New Super Mario Bros (DS) which I have been aching to play for years. Unfortunately, I agreed to not open the 3DS until Xmas. It will make Xmas morning fun, though!

    Compositions Again

Since I last posted some of my compositions on youtube, I have gotten my website up and running again. You can find information concerning my compositions as well as some downloadable versions of my music. All of this music is offered for free with the stipulation that it can not be used for personal use (such as copying my musical ideas), and that if any piece is performed, I must be contacted and a copy of the program must be sent to me.

    My Site

    Thanks!
