Night at the museum.. + music can tear your soul

The aftermath of last weeks cinema visitng with mum was that she hinted if I end up near dvd rental again, I could borrow the first part of "Night at museum".. She saw trailer of second part and thought it would be something to watch when it comes to dvd but not good enough to go to cinema (I do not know but here the tickets to cinema are so so expensive.. I think even the cheapest are like.. probably as expensive as much I spend in one week on eating in school or other things.. so it is expensive).

So, yesterday when going to supermarket and passing that dvd rental, I thought.. why not.. And so after news, we all sit behind tv and watched it.. and It almost becomes the rule - when I expect nothing of the movie, I get such a great emotion. It started little slow but when the action and whole thing started.. it was brilliant. I totally loved the laught and even if I am not much commedy person, it was great.

And I really needed that laughter as just before watching it, and waiting until other finish watching their every evening news.. I was going trough my sister's cds.. looking for Chris Rea's "best of" album she has. I am not much into that music but I really love "Road to Hell" and I wanted to put it into my mp3.. and when I put the cd to my computer to get it to mp3 player.. it started to play.. and I had my music player on random and so instead starting from the first track (what is "road to hell" and the only one I had listened before) it started to play random track.. and what i can say.. it was the most saddest and most soul tearing piece I have ever listened.. "Saudeaude" It was such a sad but also very beautiful piece.. and when I read the reasons of writing it.. It started really affect me even more.. And then I wonder.. if I had never listened that song.. how much easier would have it been.. because the dark and desperate tune of that song just does not let me go..

    Angels and Demons..

Oh.. I think sometimes weird things happen.. I had big math test this week (last test in my bachelor degree.. in last schoolday..) I was really worried about it as before the test I had 91% avarage and I really needed to get it 90% or more to get my 5.. (I am that "perfect" student).. And in tuesday, day before the big test when I should be cramming and solving all the exercises, doing the theorems.. I decided to go to cinema with my mum.. i think you can call it "try to get closer and find some common ground" activity.. I chose "Angels and Demons" as couple of years ago (probably 5) I read it when she bought the book.. and I thought she read it too.. as whole family did.. They all loved "Da Vinci Code" better.. but I was surprised when my mum told me.. no, she hasn't read it.. anyway, she still came with me and what I have to say.. I was so surprised..

    (be aware of spoliers)

First, I had apsoulelty no memory of the book exapct something going on in CERN... so I most say I really enjoyed the two hour of action a lot.. I really loved the actors choice.. i think we cannot say nothing about Hanks as he was sure.. but hey.. the choice they had for leading female.. I had never heard of her before but I think she managed to really well..And I have known that Ewan McGregor is brilliant actor but hey.. that kind of role he had.. I most say it was brilliant.. I really liked the little twist that Camerlongo was irish.. (mm.. to explain accent) because I was not very excited with his reasons in the book. And I most say.. as I remembered so little of the book, I was totally fooled.. I really thought he was the good heroic guy.. and when he got to the helicopter and fly above.. (I started to remember the helicopter scene while watching) and I thought.. heroicly sacrifice himself for others.. and when he got down.. I thought.. ah.. another happy Hollywood ending.. but I most say, I was not prepared for that turn in the end.. that was really powerful..

What i really liked was somehow the way the story was told.. I did little digging after and took the book from bookshelve again.. I most say I liked the movie version of story little better.. it was more "suit wider audience and leave out some stuff.." Not that book isn't bad but.. I liked Ewan McGregor's char.. very much.. I think I have some kind of weird symphatiy for some bad chars.. hey.. I really liked Grima Wormetongue from Lord of the Rings.. don't ask me why as even I think it was weird I liked the music.. There is no better movie score writer than Hans Zimmer.. I loved the visual side.. the views.. the arhitecture.. I loved those rituals..

But now to the matter what seems to be most talked about the film.. the religion and the way Vatican has been against it. I am not religious person so maybe it is much easier for me to take it as a pure entertainment and I am not looking some negative hints or some kind of attitude.. I took it is as entertainment and this way it was enjoyable. But I really most say it showed me something we never from religion here.. the rituals.. the tradition.. Even without being religious I really think those are things to be treasured.. and I can only imagine how it would feel to see it all.. I remember when 2005 Pope died.. I was in Italy on that time (coincident - had my 10 days as exchange student) and living with family what for sure had some kind of religious background.. even if was not big part of their everyday life, the reaction how they took it.. the way we watched from tv how they selected new pope.. their way of talking about it.. I could never ever experience nothing like that here.. So.. I really think this film did some good for me to reminding me all that and making me think about it.. and world.. and all that.. I think I am just living so anti-religious country that noone here even cares much..

Ok.. I stop my chatter.. and start watching "Long way Round"

    So.. here comes the news..

So this week should be called "fall sheudle week".. as those plans for fall be revealed.. some good news and bad news.. I think many people are jumping for Chuck to be returning.. and Dollhouse gets a second change what I most say, really like.. but there is never good news without bad.. Terminator is not coming back.. and to be honest, if I had to choose between Terminator (what I think did better in ratings than Dollhouse) and Dollhouse, I would go to Terminator.. but it went another way.. Also it does not look good for Without a Trace.. not that I do not care much about it.. And Bones got two season renewal..

Anyway.. Some great season finals for this week - 24.. (not seen it.. and probably won't have time this week either..) and Criminal Minds (very eager about it)

I am very very busy.. Last week in uni.. big test coming.. then one exam and I will be graduating..
