My new and improved gaming room + new games

Well I originally bought a second monitor (both 1920x1080) for my PC, it was rather nice for awhile I must say. Having windows opened on both monitors had made my school work a ton more easy to finish up. Eventually I grew tired and bored of the dual monitor setup, especially when opening up/running a game on one monitor made the other one brighter (gamma goes through the roof) this was mostly with id games for some reason that caused this. Quake Wars and Doom 3 for example did this. I could have just turned off the other monitor while I played, but that defeats the purpose of having two monitors in the first place. I just began to feel as if that second monitor wasn't getting it's moneys worth. Having the vista sidebar on the second monitor open while playing a game was rather nice though, could keep track of my internet connection signal, my gpu fan speed all the core temps etc. without having to minimize the game. Anywho, something was missing though, I would always have to go to the living room to play my console games (Wii, PS3 and 360) So I decided to take my 24'' inch Dell monitor and logitech 5.1 surround sound and hook up my 360 to it. It's been like this for a couple of days now and I will keep it like this for a while. I was originally going to use my PS3 instead, but then again I use that too as my blu-ray player in my living room for movie nights on my 42'' Panasonic Viera so that idea was quickly shut down Plus, I spend more time on Xbox Live anyways so it was a win win situation. PC and 360 side by side is something I can get use too. Gaming multitasking ftw! lol. So I am looking forward to many sleepless nights, achievement hunting and playing games on the PC. Now I have 5.1 sound on both 360 and PC running simultaneously thanks to my PC's sound card. On to the pics.

So far has been fantastic, engaging single player story and a real nice multiplayer experience as well (ranks, unlocks etc)

All makes me even more excited to see Bad Company 2 coming to the PC and hopefully BF3 won't be to shabby either.

    R6: Vegas 2

Already beat the single player story on realistic and now I will be jumping in to play coop and adversarial MP.

    Fight Night Round 4

I loved Round 3 so I just had to pick this one up.

Fantastic visuals!!! and really great gameplay makes you really feel like a true boxer.

GTA 4: Lost and Damned DLC

and finally this one L&D for GTA 4, wow just wow!

Just an hour and 30 minutes in and already I can see this has been worth the money.

Enjoying the story so far, great dialogue and memorable characters.

Not to mention some new awesome bikes/weapons to use now.

Although when Johnny shouts at the enemy, he sometimes sounds just like Niko for some ood reason.

Well that has probably been my most lengthy blog yet. lol

Thanks for reading this and as always comments are most welcomed.

Have a good one folks, until next time.

STALKER radiation sickness and E3 '09 most wanted list

When it comes down to it, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is by far one of the most immersive first person games ever created hands down. The atmosphere in game is unmatched by any other game out there imo. After playing for couple of minutes the new STALKER Complete 2009 mod here, I was once again hooked on my favorite game. Clear Sky did not match my expectations, eventhough a decent game in it's own right (especially after patches) I still love the original much more, because of the time period in which it takes place and the sheer edge of your seat scares, knowing there are so many mutants and creatures all around the Zone especially at night. Survival horror-ish at times even. The mod merges countless mods together beautifully and not only adds all the eye candy, but also adds many gameplay fixes the game needed from the get go, like the enemies that could spot you from ridiculous distances, even at night (huh?) if you want to sneak up on the enemy now, go right ahead it's possible and a lot of fun. I have played other mods of course (Oblivion Lost, Priboi Story etc etc), but I still enjoy the vanilla storyline best and this mod provides just that. Below are some screenshots I have taken while playing the mod. Can't wait for Call of Pripyat!
