After a dissappointing qualifying, I progressed to P14 and was making reasonable times especially behind another car until I crashed out on lap 35.. dissapointing result but I move on.- Posted Feb 19, 2007 6:58 pm PT

Having had a great 1st and 2nd qualifying session, I decided to three pit for the race and I achieved pole with a 1.32.880. By the start of the race, I was in 3rd behind Schumacher and Alonso. In the tight hairpin turn, I overtook Schumacher and was chasing Alonso, which I succeeded in the 2nd hairpin turn. So, I was flying off and having a great race and I was into my rhythm.. I pitted in lap 15 and was momentarily behind in 9th where I slowly climbed back up to first when everyone pitted. Some driver pitted later, which suggested to me that they were using a two pit strategy. I pitted again in lap 32 and was off in 1st place. However, a mistake by me caused my car to hit the wall and loose my front wing. As I tried to get back on track, I didn't notice an oncoming car and I was swiped and I lost my rear wing. I cautiously tried to return to the pit with Montoya hot in my rear. The pit was long and off I went with a full tank and slow lap times. I climbed back up to 5th place when I was surprised that some of the drivers pitted with only 10 or less laps. My tyres were worn but I refused to pit and was trying to find grip in the corners. Obviously, my driving tactics had to change.. I can up close to Montoya again. As he was trying to pass a back marker I tried to squeeze myself between the two cars into a double apex but I got knocked and although my wheels were wiggling, indicators didn't ask me to pit. I pressed on. With almost no grip, Raikkonen was gaining behind me. A small blunder with 3 laps to go, he overtoook me. I tried to stay behind him and see if there was an opportunity to overtake him.. In the final lap and in the second hairpin turn, I squeezed into the inside line, we collided momentarily and I took off without any major damage. Taking a defensive line, I came home 4th as Montoya pitted in the final laps. Personally, I think that was a funny AI strategy. Although I couldn't add to my trophy collection, a few points was worth it and I was promoted to first driver.- Posted Feb 13, 2007 10:15 pm PT

The other drivers were really quick in this race, but I still managed to qualify 10th on the grid due to the drizzle that poured down in the third session. My tyres couldn't find any grip and so I could not be dissappointed. My strategy for the race was to do a one pit and where I could just stay out and gain positions. Unlike F1 2005, this strategy didn't work as plan. I slowly drop to 16th after making a few driving error that allowed my competitors to overtake me. Plus, my car was heavy on fuel load and it was hard to put on good lap times. Anyways, long story short.. even with the constant mistakes that were made, I managed to climb make to 10th and pitted and was dropped back down to 12th and by the time the others pitted, I was back up to 10th again. Trying to catch up was possible but constant small errors put me back into place and by the end of the race, my tyres were wearing out and so I finished 10th, even though, I knew that I could have scored a point if it were for the mistakes in the final 10 laps.- Posted Feb 13, 2007 9:57 pm PT
