18Sep 08Just like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, tv.com has changed its format this year. Since the change in tv.com was so recent (It happened yesterday, I believe), it's obviously gonna take a while to get used to. And also since the change is so, there's so many gliches that need working out. Including that you can't post blogs or post messages or anything at the moment and the profiles also look very different. But I guess it'll just take a while to get used to. In the meantime, I'll be over here at MovieTome at least until these tv.com glitches get fixed. Laters!

Just like the whole "Buzz on Maggie is like the Replacements" situation, we've got another pair of two shows that are being compared like crazy and yet, THEY'RE NOTHING ALIKE!! And those two shows are iCarly and Hannah Montana.
Why are iCarly and Hannah Montana different? Because first of all, Carly is not spoiled and obnoxious like Miley is, Oliver is no where near as dorky as Freddie is and there's no way in a billion years that Lilly would beat up an innocent boy like Sam did in the pilot for iCarly.
Another example would be the iCarly episode "iHatch Chicks". Hannah Montana would have never gotten that dramatic if it did an episode like that. And look at how many "Tearjerker" reviews the iCarly episode "iWanna Stay with Spencer" got, even when it was only the fifth episode of the series! Hannah Montana didn't get that emotional that early. Not even for the entire first season. And if any of the first season episodes did get "Tearjerker" reviews, iWanna Stay with Spencer got more than all of the first season episodes of Hannah Montana got combined.
This is why I said that iCarly is more like That's So Raven because of all the melodrama in iCarly. While Hannah Montana had almost NO drama in its first season. And you all know that iWanna Stay with Spencer was only the fifth (out of the 25 first season episodes) episode of iCarly and you all still cried hard over that. And yet, it's STILL like Hannah Montana?! That just doesn't make sense to me. Hannah Montana didn't get that dramatic that early in the series. That's So Raven got that dramatic that early.
And finally, there's a "Ships" situation. Seddie has like 50 times as much supporters as Creddie does while Moliver and Loliver have the EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF SHIPPERS. The only thing that can fix this is either if more of the Seddie fans went over to Creddie to get the exact same amount of shippers for each one or say, Loliver fans transport over to Moliver so that one ship would have more fans than the other.
And so, with all that said, just face it. Comparing iCarly to Hannah Montana is kinda like comparing Full House to 8 Simple Rules. Sorry if I might have insulted anybody about anything listed here. I didn't mean to. I just had to get that out in the open. But anyway, there's my thesis right there. Laters.- Posted Sep 5, 2008 6:24 pm PT

5Sep 08Hi, guys. Haven't talked to you in a while. I'm just a little slow on the draw.
Anyway, school started for me two days ago and so far, it's going pretty good. The ****s I'm taking are English for 1st Period, Cooking Cla$$ for 2nd Period, Earth Science for 3rd, Western History for 4th, Geometry after Lunch and Guided Study then Animation Cla$$ are my last two cla$$es. Although, I might switch out of Guided Study for Study Hall if GS doesn't go well enough the first week (The cla$$ is filled with disrespectful kids) and since today's Friday, if today doesn't go well enough like the last two days didn't, I might switch to Study Hall.
Animation cla$$ (aka Design Graphics) is gonna be cool because I've always wanted to work with Animation, since I'm into animated shows. When I grow up, one of my dreams is to produce a nationally televised animated series. But I'll have to pass this cla$$ and the next two levels of it to do that.
But I think my favorite cla$$ is gonna be Earth Science, just because me and my best friend agree that it's easy to pass. That reason and because Science has always been one of my areas of expertise. Earth Science, of course, is when you learn about the functions of the Earth.
And you want to know something? The first time I saw my English teacher this year, this first thing that popped into my head was Coco from Zoey 101 with a short Hannah Montana wig.
But she's not like Coco at all. She's very nice, although she tends to go a little fast on the lessons but she's still nice.
Well, that's what's up on School for me so far this year. Laters.- Posted Sep 5, 2008 3:51 am PT

23Aug 08
Well, yesterday, I got back from my Grandparents' house in the Chicago area. And before my family and I stayed at their house, the day before yesterday, we all got to go to a Cubs-Reds Game LIVE! (Shout out to halogod95, who's a sports fan) It's probably the first time I've EVER seen something that's shot nationally! There were like 500,000 people there! Maybe more! Anyway, it was a great game. The Cubs actually won 3 to 2! It was a very exciting game!
And let me tell you something: Chicago, probably the biggest city I've EVER been to (I've never been to New York City or Los Angeles). The stadium I went to (Wrigley Field) was big too! And I thought Milwaukee's stadium was big. You should check out this one. The rest of the trip was good, too. My famiy and I stayed at our grandparents' house and we just hung around. And now to the next subject.
--------------Well, it looks like Disney Channel's now out of my life for good. At least me being a fan of it is. Here are the reasons I don't want to watch it anymore:
- It's not the same as it was when I became a fan of it. It used to balance cartoons and sitcoms just right but now it's become Teen Paradise, with the only cartoon there being Phineas and Ferb (which I hate).
- Disney Channel Games just isn't the same as it was the last 2 summers. It used to be cartoons appearing in there and Phill Lewis used to be a co-host and it appeared in between new episodes of shows in a two-hour block. Now, it's a full half hour event with only Brian Stephanek as host and now it's more like a video taped event on GSN than a big summer event on Disney Channel.
- The DCOMs aren't as much of a big deal to me now as they were then. Seriously, High School Musical 3? As a theatrical movie? What is there about it that makes it have to be released theatrically instead of just airing it as a TV Movie, like the previous two? Why not have just made the first two HSMs been released in theaters on the dates they aired on TV instead? And they made a Cheetah Girls 3 and titled it Cheetah Girls: One World. I LOVED the Cheetah Girls when they had their first 2 movies and their Christmas Album. My favorite Cheetah Girls songs were "The Party's Just Begun", "Strut" and "Cheetah-licious Christmas". But now, the Cheetah Girls are just getting old with this movie. If you ask me, they should have just stopped after the second movie and continued as a successful pop band, instead of being movie icons,
- Their currently running shows are getting old to me. The Replacements is just kinda cheesy, Corey in the House only makes me miss That's So Raven, Suite Life on Deck just sounds like a continuation of the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Welcome to Mollywood just sounds like a ripoff of iCarly, Emperor's New School is getting old to me and Phineas and Ferb, ha! Don't even get me started. I temporarally stopped watching Disney Channel when it first came on. It's one of the reasons Disney is turning into Nick. Trying to be cool, not teaching anything, stupid running gags, etc. (Sorry, fredricdafly, I just had to get that out)
- And finally, the most important reason of all, THEY'RE SCRAPPING THE BUZZ ON MAGGIE OFF THE AIR COMPLETELY!!! That's right. They're taking it off the 4am/3c air slot and replacing it with "Recess". The Buzz on Maggie is no longer gonna air on Disney Channel... at all. Why am I quitting Disney Channel just because they're taking this one show off the air? Because this show was what made me an official fan of Disney Channel. It had everything I ever wanted in a cartoon: great voiceovers, good morals, not too serious, not too silly, no pop culture references (this is good because there was no way it could insult anything without them), balancing family and friends just right, etc. But now it's being scrapped off the air for some overrated show about 6 kids on a playground. Don't get me wrong, I really think it's an OK show (In fact, I used to LOVE it) but come on. Replace something else with Recess, like Little Mermaid or one of Lilo & Stitch's time slots, not Buzz on Maggie!
So that's why I'm gonna quit watching Disney Channel. The only show I'm probably gonna sacrifice watching is Wizards of Waverly Place, but I can catch the episodes on YouTube. Besides, Suite Life, Hannah Montana and That's So Raven, I can catch on ABC Kids every Saturday. And American Dragon and Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, I think are on Toon Disney. I actually burned everything on Disney Channel that I watched on my last day watching it on my DVR. And I watched a lot, because, if it's your last day watching it, you've gotta make it worth your while. Here's what was on the DVD:
- The 3 most recent Hannah Montana episodes that I never watched
- The Cheetah Girls: One World
- Wizards of Waverly Place: Crazy Ten Minute Sale and some other episode.
- An episode of Life with Derek
- The 4 Disney Channel Games episodes
- The Proud Family
- Brandy and Mr. Whiskers
- The Buzz on Maggie's last airing on DC
So that's what I'm doing with my time right now. Laters.- Posted Aug 23, 2008 5:20 pm PT

10Aug 08Well, I'm back from Upper Michigan! Not much happened, actually. We pretty much just went around town and somewhat into Negaunee and Marquette. We just did the stuff we did on our Memorial Day trip this year. BUT we did have a celebration for my mom's birthday. Actually, two celebrations for my mom's birthday. First, on Friday (the day before her birthday), my family and I went out to eat at the local restaurant near our cabin. Luckily, all the waiters didn't come to sing their "Happy Birthday" song. My mom would have been embarrassed!
Then, yesterday (her birthday), my family and I took our boat to the middle of the lake and we stopped there and we had a little party with champagne and music. Of course, my little brother, Grant and I didn't drink the champagne because Grant is too young and I just don't drink stuff like that. We drank sparkling grape juice instead. But my parents and my sisters, Laurel and Teresa did. My sisters are too young too but everyone was given permission to have just one small glass of champagne. And Teresa's just adult-minded. Go figure.
But anyway, forget the champagne. We all had fun. We listened to some songs from the family's favorite singer and most of all, I think my mom had a great birthday. She's 46 now, so she's just getting closer to 50.
So, well, that's what happened.
And besides that, some of my opinions on shows and some stuff I'm going to do here, I've decided to change during that trip.
- I'm going back to writing reviews in order to get up to Level 16, or maybe even higher. But I'll still be vying for those editorships for Buzz on Maggie, Weekenders and Family Feud.
- I'm gonna try to make more forum posts in order to make more friends.
- After nearly 3 years, I finally have a new favorite Disney Channel cartoon. And that's Brandy and Mr. Whiskers, a show that I've liked for 2 and a half years but I didn't appreciate it this much. But, Buzz on Maggie still remains a good old cla$$ic in my book.
- I don't really like The Replacements anymore (Sorry, BTRAV). It's just getting a little repetitive and annoying. But don't worry, BTRAV. I'm not gonna bash the forums. I still think it's an OK show.
- And finally, I think this is the first time I'm ever doing this, but I think I'm gonna track someone who doesn't like TBOM for a change. Despite the fact that she doesn't like it, I think I want to track rjje72 because she likes Brandy and Mr. Whiskers and The Mighty B. Plus, she seems like a nice person. Hey, at least she was being respectful in her review for TBOM. At least she's not like ger5632, who I really thought would like the show (Considering all the other shows that she likes) but instead probably gave the most insulting, disgusting review for the show I have ever read in my life. Thank heavens that that review was reported. But rjje72 is different because she was actually being respective and I appreciate her for that. It's that fact and the fact that she likes The Mighty B and Brandy and Mr. Whiskers that I want to track her.
Sorry to any friends of ger5632 if I probably insulted her. I was just mad about that review. Let's see if this blog is reported for "Insults to other users" but anyway, that's what's up for now. Laters.- Posted Aug 10, 2008 9:03 pm PT

Just wanted to let you all know that I won't be online for 8 days because I have to up to my cabin in Upper Peninsula Michigan (again). It's not Memorial Day and it's not Labor Day and I haven't heard of anything big that we're going to do up there (yet). Only God knows what we'll do up there this time of year.
Well, that's all for now. See ya in a week from tomorrow!

Any of you know Captain52? Well, I cannot believe he was banned! He was a user who was so much like me! He liked the shows I liked, hated all the shows I hated, he was also autistic, etc. Now who's gonna be more like me? I could post that survey on the Off-Topic forum again, but that would get me another TOS. This is one of the reasons why I think I might want to leave tv.com. I'm only like 4 TOS's away from getting banned anyway.

Hi, everyone! Well, my sister Laurel's in Nicaragua now. She got there yesterday, but I kept neglecting to post.
We went to the airport in Chicago. It is BIG, man! Probably the largest building I've ever been in! My little sister and her two friends, my brother, my parents and I had to stay there for like an hour and a half doing absolutely nothing
waiting for Laurel's time to get her passport out. When the time came, my family and I were hugging her constantly (My little brother Grant hugged her like 18 times!
) and I air kissed goodbye to her. And my family and I were actually lucky because my sister had to wait for another hour and a half trying to get on the airplane. She didn't leave until 11:00am. She landed in Miami at about 2:30pm and got to Nicaragua at about 7:00pm. While Laurel was waiting on the plane to Miami, my family and I got breakfast from McDonald's. I got a Bacon, Egg and Cheese McGriddle and everyone else a McBiscuit.
Then, we stopped at my Grandparents' house in Elgin. We hung out there for a few hours. I pretty much just watched my personal DVD player and hung out at the school playground just behind their house. No one was there, of course, because school was out AND it was a Sunday.
My sister and brother and my little sister's two friends just watched episodes of That 70's Show while my parents and grandparents watched some sort of Football game. We headed home at about 3:30pm. And as I said in my last blog, Teresa's (my little sister) friend Amie will be going in for Laurel. I didn't mention why so I'm gonna mention it now. Something was going on with her family. I'm curious about what it was.
I wonder what it's gonna be like with Amie in our house for a month. She's almost like Laurel. Preppy, fun, energetic. I don't think it'll hurt.
Moving on now. I got done re-watching that George Lopez episode "Girl Fight" about 40 minutes ago and I know I've probably said this before but at the end... do you think it kinda made teenage guys look like sex lovers?
I mean, no teenage guy (at least, from my perspective) would follow a girl into their bathroom at school to try to "do it" with her. It was mainly guys who were doing bad stuff to Carmen. At my school, I don't think that's ever happened. Every time I even think about the episode, I can't help but get a little angry. And what's worse is there was an earlier episode called "Love Bites" where George tried to tell Carmen the "evils" of teenage guys. I don't think it's really helping out the fact that us guys are looked at like girl-abusing pigs. There's like 100 fliers around my school telling us that girls are in danger of stuff and I haven't seen one about the way guys are looked at. This is one of the reasons why I wish I were a girl.
Well, that's all I wanted to share. Laters.- Posted Jun 16, 2008 8:50 pm PT

14Jun 08Three blog posts in one day! That doesn't happen often, but here it is.

My older sister, Laurel, is going on a Spanish Excursion to Nicaragua for the month and she's going on the plane in about 7 hours. Since we're leaving for the airport at 5am (our time, which is 6 hours from now), I just felt I should post this now since I wouldn't want to post it when I wake up since I would only 6 hours of sleep. Anyway, she's going to Nicaragua to do a lot of things, including student teaching for an English as a Second Language cla$$ in a school in Nicaragua. I'm excited for her because someone in my family (besides my parents) is going somewhere outside the country!

The airport we're going to is in Chicago, where my grandparents live. Well, at least they live in the Chicago area. They live in Elgin. We're gonna visit them and go shopping with them on the way back from the airport. We couldn't go to an airport in the Madison area because of a reason that I'm just drawing a blank of. I think it's because they made a deal to start at the airport in Chicago and fly from there to Miami and then to Nicaragua. Or something like that.
And finally, my younger sister Teresa's friend, Amie, will basically be going in for Laurel for the month. Teresa wouldn't tell me why when I asked her, though. "It's a long story but she needs somewhere to stay," she says. This will kinda be like James going in for Chase on Zoey 101. Only instead of someone going in for a love interest, it's someone going in for a sibling.
Well, that's the story. I wish Laurel the best of luck there and to be safe. I'm just ecstatic about one of us going out of the country!

Dan Schneider's shows has made fun of a lot of things in the past but in iCarly Saves TV, they went too far! Here's a list of things they have made fun of:
1. Wisconsin
2. People who like school and are actually dedicated to their schoolwork
3. Quiet people
4. People who need to cry in private (What if they're embarrassed to share what's wrong?)
5. Certain names (Like Julio, Walter, etc.)
6. Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (They did this in the Amanda Show)
7. Parents who actually care about their children (No mother would be THAT overprotective!)
8. Children who are always picked on and are in need of help
9. Pretty much every adult
10. People who have a different nationality other than American.
and 11. on iCarly Saves TV, they've made fun of Full House! The guy who was in that stupid dinosaur costume said "I did 4 episodes of Full House!" and the audience laughed hysterically! The people on Full House didn't do this: "Why did you take 2 guys to the dance?" "Well, Chuck is so sweet but Bob is so hot" (Or something like that) "Oh, noodles!" With the worst acting I've ever seen! Let me tell you something, Team Schneider. Full House actually teaches stuff that are important and they take the situation seriously! And the acting is super great! Unlike your "super wacky" shows.
No wonder Disney Channel has become bad! Phineas and Ferb was influenced by these Dan Schneider shows! The only episodes of iCarly that actually handled their situation seriously were iWanna Stay With Spencer and iHatch Chicks. What's next? They're going to make fun of people with Autism? My name or any of my siblings' names? The movie Broken Toy? Yeah, I think the movie Broken Toy is gonna be next! It's about this quiet, shy boy who was always picked on by a group of bullies, which caused him to get hit by a car. I think it'd be an easy target for iCarly or any other Dan Schneider show. Sam could pick on some random nerd and after Sam beats him up, the nerd could go all "Have you ever watched Broken Toy?" and the audience could laugh hysterically and Sam and Carly could make dumbfounded expressions.
No offense to fans of Dan Schneider shows, I actually kinda like them because they're funny. It's just that I'd like them to stop insulting all these things!- Posted Jun 14, 2008 6:35 pm PT

A lot of people say that iCarly is the Nickelodeon equivalent of Hannah Montana, whereas it's actually the Nick equivalent of That's So Raven, in my opinion. Here are the reasons:
1. Unlike Hannah Montana and like That's So Raven, iCarly has been dramatic in like half the episodes. iCarly got a sad episode (iWanna Stay with Spencer) around the time That's So Raven got one (Campaign in the Neck), while Hannah Montana didn't get a sad episode until Season 2 (I Want You to Want Me to Go to Florida).
2. The characters are almost the same: Carly = Raven (Free spirited main character), Sam = Chelsea (Ditzy best female friend), Freddie = Eddie (Slightly dorky but relatively smart male friend), Spencer = Cory. (Although I think Sam shows more of a Drake from D&J personality, but still)
3. Both have potential ships and one has at least twice as much as the other. For iCarly, it's Carly/Freddie or Sam/Freddie, with Sam/Freddie being the top one and for That's So Raven, it Chelsea/Eddie or Raven/Eddie, with Raven/Eddie being the top one. While for Hannah Montana, the two ships, Miley/Oliver and Lilly/Oliver have practically the same amount of shippers.
Sure, Carly and Miley are both famous stars but I think iCarly is more of a That's So Raven kind of show because of these three reasons. But that's just my opinion, what are yours?- Posted Jun 14, 2008 1:59 pm PT

12Jun 08Hi, guys! I just got done with my History final, my last final of the year. Now, I'm pretty much done with school for the year! I'm still in school right now in the Computer Lab, where my case manager took me and some of my cla$$mates who she also worked with to do the history finals. We finished our final early so right now, it's free time. So I decided to go onto this website during this free time. I've been on the internet for like 30 minutes now but I decided to post this blog now, even though it's a little late.

School lets out in a half-hour from now so... in a half-hour, I'm a free man!
Well, at least for the summer.
Here's what I hope for next school year:
1. To join a club of my interests
2. To make some more friends
3. To get the cla$$es that I hope for
4. To try to convince my best bud David to join my Higher Ground, a group of middle and high schoolers that are in my church where we learn about stuff that happened in the Bible and messages the Bible sends. I want to convince David to join because he's my best bud and I want to meet another friend of mine from that Higher Ground, Ryan. He's a really good friend and I want my school friend and Higher Ground friend to meet.
And also right now, I'm kinda introducing David to this website. He seems to like it. But right now, it's attracted to GameSpot. I think because he's searching for World of Warcraft info.
He loves that game and he's pretty good at it. Anyway, I think he likes this website. He might even join sometime.
Well, that's the story. Hope the rest of you had a good school year! Laters.- Posted Jun 12, 2008 9:58 am PT

Well, I'm in school right now and today is my second day of End-of-the-year Finals. So far, I've had Algebra, Spanish and Biology finals yesterday and just 10 minutes ago, I just got out from my Health final. In about 20 minutes from now, I'm gonna be taking my English final and tomorrow, I'm going to have a History final.
I think the hardest exam so far was probably Algebra because that took me like the whole exam period to finish! Easiest one was probably Health because the Special Ed. group I hang out with in that cla$$ and I went to a different room so that the 2 Special Ed. assistants in that room could help us with the exam. And here's how I see my report card this year:
Algebra - B
Spanish - C
Health - B-
English - C+
Guided Study - A+
US History - C-
Biology - C+
I'll show you my official report card when I get it but that's how I see my report card this year so far. Well, that's how everything's going. Laters.- Posted Jun 11, 2008 8:16 am PT

Well, another blog by MM6. This time, it's about movies or TV shows that I like or don't like because of the values they have. I'm going to include some TV show episodes and movies that some of you may not know (just to be more specific about this). And this is the list:
Favorites:
1. Movie: Broken Toy - It teaches kids not to bully other people. It's very powerful and you'll maybe think twice about some TV show characters. *cough*Sam Puckett*cough*
2. TV Show: Full House - It has a lot of values.
3. TV Show: That's So Raven - Same as Full House.
Least Favorites:
1. TV Show Episode: George Lopez: "Girl Fight" - One of the things in this world that stereotypes us guys as girl abusers. Seriously, no guy will treat a girl like that in real life.
2. TV Show: Zoey 101 - Now, I kinda like Zoey 101 but it's just some of the episodes make people think of guys as sexists.
3. TV Show: Any other Dan Schneider show - I like these shows but in a way, they teach kids to pick on other kids.
4. TV Show: Phineas and Ferb - It has absolutely no values at all and teaches kids to not obey their parents. It's my least favorite TV show of all time.
That's what I wanted to share. Post your opinions on this or tell me what your favorite and least favorite movies, TV shows or TV Show episodes are. Laters.- Posted Jun 6, 2008 5:55 am PT

It looks like this month, "The Urkel Show" (as I like to call it sometimes) will be on Nick at Nite as part of a Jam-Packed June. I just added it to my Favorites a few moments ago because I've liked it before. I was like obsessed with the show when I was in 7th Grade. I even made up a show that starred my family and our friends and was kinda like Family Matters (With me as Urkel!). I even have a cold open from one of the episodes on one of my favorite tapes from the beginning of 2006! Good times.
Anyway, I can't wait for this show to premiere on Nick at Nite! I'm gonna try to watch it every day and record all the episodes so I'd have all of them! Nick at Nite will now have their second Miller-Boyett produced show (Their first being Full House). One can only imagine when Step by Step will come to Nick at Nite.
Well, that's what I wanted to say. Laters!

3Jun 08OMG! You guys should have been at my school just a few moments ago! You would have just seen the girl fight of the century!
I was on the computer (on this website) in the Library Media Center and these two black girls in the row in front of me started randomly arguing about some stupid thing.
Then they were arguing their way into the hallway. They started fighting and there were a lot of people who were watching the fight!
Luckily, the principal (I think) was able to stop the fight just in time. God knows what happened to the two girls but I'm sure they're probably gonna get suspended, or even expelled, for that matter! But you should have been there. In my 9 months at this school, I have never seen an actual fight before. But now I have.
Well, that's the story. Laters.- Posted Jun 3, 2008 6:16 am PT
