MetroidSA-X's Blog

  • 3Jun 08

Wow, haven't been here in a LONG time, haven't written a blog in an even longer one. I just finished my freshman year of college. I went to my local Community College, CSI, or College of Staten Island, and I kind of regret it. Without the whole living on your own thing, it just sorta feels like a slightly different high school, at least so far it does. Besides that, nothing interesting has happened to me since I was last here, I really do lead a boring life...

And on that slightly depressing note, lets talk about TV baby, I mean that is what this site is for isn't it. The Lost season finale just aired last week and damn I LOVED it. This season as a whole has been slightly dissapointing. After a great start it seemed to lose alot of momentum in the middle, but it definetely picked up towards the end. I mean damn, first off, in one hour they killed off three members of the original cast. I'm definetely gonna miss Jin, he be the man. Yunjin Kim's performance in the finale was excellent, porbably the best stuff she's done since season one. And Micheal didn't affect me much since I barely even realised he was back. I mean seriously, what's the point of bringing the guy back just to kill him a couple of eps later, such a wasted opportunity. And damn, Locke is the guy in the coffin, damn, did not see that one coming. Also didn't expect the Oceanic Six to be rescued so quickly. And there rescue was a very exciting one, I mean damn, their helicopter went down straight into the ocean (not killing any of em, even the baby, cause obviously, as evidenced by Michael, you can only die when the island wants you to die, or something). Loved the rescue by Penny, I should of saw it coming when I saw the boat, but I was too damn caught up in the ep to even think about it. Desmond and Penny's reunion was so touching, just beautiful. Hope that Dan dude isn't gone, he was my favorite of the freighter folk. I have no idea where they're gonna go next season, back on the island in the present with flash-forwards to the oceanic six, or will there be a permanent jump to the future (like Desperate Housewives) we were first introduced to in last years finale? That's what I'm really curious about.

Speaking of Desperate Housewives I'm still shocked by the five year jump. And I'm still pissed they had Susan kissing some random younger guy. I mean, I've never been a huge Mike fan but this season it was so nice to see them happy and together, it just worked. I can't help but think the only reason they broke em up was so Susan could actually be interesting next season, grrrr...

Battlestar Galactica, this season has definetely been interesting. I've found it very hard to get into, though the last few eps have been a big improvement. Friday's ep really annoyed me though. I simply do not buy into Lee being the President, I just don't. I never even bought into him being a politician, let alone President. I was so hoping that dude with the glasses and the dead cat would just put an end to his miserable, annoying existence...Besides that, I like what they're doing with the show at the moment. Tigh's relationship with the imprisoned six is definetely interesting, with his dead wife showin up every now and then and I was shocked to hear she was pregnant, damn. And I love the whole civil war thing the cylons have got going on, very cool. Next weeks ep looks interesting, and the ads better be misleading, cause I really don't see Rosling being the final cylon.

Anyway, onto Buffy season eight. I'm in love with this series, it's like a dream come true and it just keeps getting better and better. The Wolves at the Gate arc has been great. I did have the infamous Buffy/Satsu in bed thing spoiled to me by the internets, but the actual scene is now one of my favorites of the series, everyone walking in on the two was hillarious and immediately ended any annoying storylines involving Buffy keeping a secret from her friends like she did back in season six. The scene was hillarious, Andrew's lines were probably the best -"Hi Buffy, Hi nude asian girl. How much Dramamine did I take?" Seriously loved it. The rest of the arc has of course been great as well. Love Xander and Renee's relationship development, and have to say I did not see the end of issue 14 coming AT ALL. Joss is definetely evil, that's all there is to it. Love Giant Dawn, as always, how can you not love her when she says things like "Hi, or I mean...ROAR!" Though I gotta say I don't like the way Georges Jeanty draws her, she look 14...Oh and I love Drac being back, though I do kinda wish they'd bringing back old character and start bringing in some great shiny new ones.

Also on the Whedon front, I'm so friggin excited about Dollhouse. It will obviously be the greatest thing to ever grace our television screens. And with that I leave you, see ya in December or whenever I come back to this site again and at the same time decide to write a blog...

Damn, I'v been away from this site for awhile now, the last blog I wrote was...damn...two months ago! I felt like writing a blog, but I can't think of anyhting to write about so I'm just gonna review the last few movies I've seen.

And I'll start with the biggie, The Simpsons Movie, damn seeing this movie was just so surreal. Just sitting in the theater seeing these characters on the big screen was just something I felt I'd never see. The movie actually had a similar feeling to Star Wars episode III for me in that way, finally seeing it, just seeing it in the theater was just unreal. Like I couldn't believe I was actually there. I hope that makes sense. As far as what I actually thought of the movie. Well the answer to that is that I simply loved it. It was just hillarious, I honestly don't remember the last time I laughed this much at a movie. And like some of the best episodes of the show, it had an unmistakable emotional core, I just LOVED the movie. Of course it wasn't quite up there with the best of the best eps of the show, but it was still fantastic. I would really love to see another big screen Simpsons adventure in the future, like Maggie's, well, second word if you remember her first word in season 4's "Lisa's First Word", suggested.

Another recent blockbuster I saw was Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix. And to be honest, I thought it was just ok. I don't know, something was missing, I can't explain what, but just something, like the magic that had made the first four films great had somehow run dry. Or maybe it was just the book it was adapted from, I don't know, I just know I left the theater a bit dissapointed. I mean, yet again, the movie ended with an anticlimatic battle with Voldemort. The movie left me with a big meh, I hope the Half Blood Prince is more satisfying.

Another movie I saw was Captivity. I enjoyed it overall, it sort of felt like today's version of the endless slasher flicks from the 80's. Sort of a result of the whole torture genre of horror films made popular with movies like Saw and Hostel, it was still decent, despite the fact that there was no originality to it at all. Oh and there's a horrible scene where the girl being held captive is forced to shoot her own dog tosurvive, I hate stuff like that, and I couldn't stop thinking about it for the rest of the flick, poor dog.

Another recent horror flick I've seen was I Know Who Killed Me, a decent movie that could have been so much better with a better cast and director. Don't really have anything else to say about it.

I've seen some older movies recently as well, like the notorious Cannibal Holocaust, definetely lives up to its reputation.I of course watched the "animal cruelty free" version as I don't see real death as entertainment and think anyone who does has to be a sick freak. The movie was definetely interesting, I was surprised by the fact that they actually made the Americans look more evil than the natives who only killed these people after they burned them alive and raped them, basically treated them like trash to try to make a good documentary. Overall I liked it

A movie I really enjoyed was Return Of The Living Dead, a highly entertaining and over the top zombie flick. I loved the fact that the zombies could only be killed by burning them to ashes, because despite the fact that this movie was overall light hearted, the thought of the zombies was freaky as hell and I'd love to see these type of creatures in a more serious, cause they are truly threatening.

A movie I just watched last night was Creepshow, a fun flick. It had an interesting stylistic approach, obviously to look like the comics, that I enjoyed. Overall a great litle horror movie that tells five great stories.

And finally amovie I didn't enjoy. That movie was Phantasm. Ugh, why people enjoy this movie is beyond me. I blindly bought this movie based on its reputation and the fact that its not available on Netflix for some reason. And boy do I regret it. This movie was boring and dull with acting and dialogue cheesier thanyou can imagine. And I usually actually like cheesy horror flicks. The fact that I loved Dead Alive is a testament to that. I just didn't enjoy this movie at all, I should of listened to my dad who said I shouldn't get the flick because "it sucks". The reason people regard this movie as a c l a s s i c must be nostalgia at work and nothing more, because it really did suck. Oddly enough though I still kinda wanna see the sequel...

Wow, I haven't wrote a blog in a LONG time, hell, I haven't been on this site in general. I think the last time I really came here was when all the finales were airing 2 or 3 weeks ago. Wasn't that Lost finale just awesome? Anyway, I just finished watching Angel season 1 for the first time ina long while so I thought I'd do an overview of the season and mini-reviews of each ep.

City Of... 9/10 - I thought this was a great series premiere. I loved the opening scene with Angel saving the girls in the alley but not being able to get close to them cause of his vampire side. I also loved the fact that he doesn't get to save the first girl he saves. The episode does a great job of laying down the groundwork for the series. Things like the visions, and the general idea of what Wolfram & Hart does were all introduced here brilliantly.

Lonely Hearts 8.25/10 - This was a decent second ep. I enjoyed the introduction of Kate, a character I really enjoy, especially before she found out what Angel was.

In The Dark 9/10 - This was a great little Buffy crossover ep. Loved the way they continued the Gem of Amara story from Buffy. Though to this day I still don't quite get Angel's logic in destroying the gem, but whatever.

I Fall To Pieces 7.5/10 - I like the idea behind this ep, a surgeon who somehow learned how to detach parts of himself, though one thing never made sense to me. If his eyes were just hanging there in the middle of the room watching the girl, how did she not ever notice them?

Rm W/A View 9/10 -This is a great ep, loved Cordy and Doyle shopping around for apartments and loved the little ghost story. I also loved Cordy just standing up for herself in the end, telling the mom to "Get the hell outta my house!", very fun ep.

Sense and Sensitivity 7.5/10 - This was a hillarious ep, loved Kate's little outburst at her father's retirement party and well, Kate in general was just hillarious in this.

The Bachelor Party 8.75/10 - This was a great ep, I loved learning more about Doyle's past and teh fact that her fiance and his family were going to eat his brain because it's "tradition". Very fun ep.

I Will Remember You 9.25/10 - This is the essential Buffy/Angel ep. Very romantic and believable throughout and the end is just heartbreaking, loved it.

Hero 9/10 - A great sendoff for Doyle, I loved that in the end he was willing to sacrifice his life to save others. The end of this is just chilling with Angel and Cordy watching his video and he says, "Is that it, am I done?", and then it fades to black, great ep.

Parting Gifts 8/10  - I loved Cordy's audition scene, VERY funny and loved Wesley's introduction into the series.

Somnambulist 7.5/10 - This is a decent ep, I like the idea of Angel in a way affecting another vamp so much that he actually adopts his old ways.

Expecting 8/10 - I enjoyed this ep, the demon at the end definetely looked a bit cheesy, but Cordy being pregnant and gulping down a whole thing of blood is just priceless.

She 7.75/10 - I used to hate this episode with a passion, but watching it again, I actually kind of liked it.

I've Got You Under My Skin 8.25/10 -This is an interesting ep, most of it is a very self aware Exorcist ripoff, but the twist at the end saves it when we find out the kid is actually the evil one.

The Prodigal 8/10 -  Another decent ep, I enjoyed the Angel flashbacks and seeing how he became a vamp and killed his entire. I also loved Darla's speech at the end about how even though his father is dead, he will still always have power over him.

The Ring 8.5/10 - This was a great ep, loved the idea of a gladiator kind of thing going on in modern times with vamps and demons and loved the introduction of the always awesome Lilah.

Eternity 8/10 - Loved the whole theme of this ep, people in Hollywood's obsession with looking young and loved seeing Angelus for the first time in the series.

Five By Five 9.5/10 - One of the best eps of the season and one of the best Faith eps ever. I loved the fact that this was her at her absolute craziest, it was actually surreal in ways seeing her so out of control, and her breakdown at the end is very believable and true. Great episode for her character.

Sanctuary 7.75/10 - This definetely wasn't as good as the previous ep, but I still liked it. Definetely enjoyed seeing Buffy and Faith turning herself in at the end.

War Zone 8.25/10 - Enjoyed thsi if not only for the introduction of Gunn. Liked that he had to overcome his own beliefs and learn to trust Angel in the end.

Blind Date 9/10 - A great ep and the first that I can remember where we really get to see how Wolfram & Hart works. Something I definetely enjoyed, especially the whole mind reading scene, very cool. Plus, the idea of a blind assassin is just awesome.

To Shanshu In L.A. 9.5/10 - A great finale to the season. Loved the demon of the story. It was vrery chilling to see Cordy and so much pain and I loved the fact that they blew up the entire season 1 set.  Angel chopping off Lindsey's hand was very cool and I loved the cliffhanger ending where we find out Darla was the thing they were rising.

Overall this is a great season. While it lacks an overall focus like the later seasons do, it makes up for it in ways with great standalone eps, and characters who not only have tremendous chemistry with each other but also really develop throughout the season. Cordy starts the series out being really self centered in ways, dreaming of beong a star, but by the end of the season she sees the bigger picture and really learns that she just wants to help people. We also saw the first shades of a much darker Wesley this season as we saw more of his serious side and how he is willing to help people. This season also did a great job just setting the stage for the rest of the series, with Wolfram and Hart, the powers that be, the Shanshu prophecy, and hell, even Wesley's daddy issues were brought up very subtley here. There weren't quite as many flat out awesome eps here as other seasons and it is definetely not the best season, but overall it's a great, solid season that I give a 8.5/10.

Well as many of you may know today is the 10th anniversary of my absolute favorite show ever, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so I'd just like to say Happy "Buffyversary" and I hope any Buffy fans reading this have a great time watching some Buffy classics today like I'll be doing. And just to make this blog look nicer, here is a very random Buffy thing I made on photoshop the other day.

Well I just saw The Truth last night. I have to say, I'm actually really dissapointed with the final episode. I didn't feel like I learned the truth, the only thing that was revealed in the episode was that the aliens endgame or whatever is gonna be in 2012. Ok...but besides that, nothing. Mulder got framed basically for "killing" one of the supersoldiers, they broke him out, cigarette smoking man died, and Mulder and Scully talked about what they believe in a motel room...and that's the end. It all just felt very anticlimatic to me...just meh.

The season itself was great though, usual X-Files quality greatness. I was actually surprised by how creative and fresh the show still managed to feel in its 9th season, well, here's my top 5 of the season...

4-D - I just loved this episode, the idea of an alternate reality is something is always great. I love the way it was done here too, it was really just sad to think that in one reality they were both just killed so quickly like they were.

Trust No 1- Great Scully centered episode. I just loved it, can't really think of anything else to say.

Provenance/Providence - Another great Scully centered episode. There is one thing about the episode that confused me though, how the hell could Scully trust the Lone Gunmen to protect her baby...seriously.

Improbable - Possibly my favorite of the season, this was just a strange and fun episode. The whole numbers thing was just interesting and I loved Burt Reynolds character, whoever the hell he was. Just a strange, strange episode, I loved it.

William - Wow sad episode, actually almost made me shed a tear. I can't believe Scully actually opted to give up her baby for adoption.

Well I've seen every X-Files episode now, I really hope they get that second movie up and running, cause the crappy ending just makes me want more X-Files...

Woah! When the hell did this site start existing??? I just noticed it today at the top with the rest of 'em. It's a really cool site, I've already added a bunch of my favorite movies and did a couple reviews and ratings. Apparently I'm the only fan of Halloween 4 on the site.

Well I just finished season 8 of the X-Files last night. Damn what a great season. With Mulder basically being replaced by Dogget I honestly wasn't expecting to like it much but I just loved it. The stand alone episodes were as creative and fun as usual and the main story arc eps were the best they've been since Two Fathers/One Son. Well here's my top 5 of the season...

Within/Without - This was just a great season opener and a great way to introduce Dogget and get the season started. And the alien bounty hunters are always fun.

    Roadrunners - Fun, creepy episode.

Redrum - A brilliant episode about a guy going backwards in time slowly seeing the pieces come together and seeing how his wife got killed and eventually saving her, I loved it!

This Is Not Happening/DeadAlive - Great, month spanning two parter that brought Mulder back for the rest of the season. Loved Mulder saying "who are you?" to Scully when he woke up. Hated Scully's cheesy "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

Existence/Essence - Just an awesome, exciting season finale. I was actually scared those Super Soldiers were gonna take Scully's baby. I'm not sure why they didn't. Maybe he really isn't what they thought he was, who knows. It's a bit sad that Krycek is dead, I just loved to hate that guy, ya know?

Well only 20 episodes left for me to see, I can't wait to see how it ends.

I LOVE this show. I mean...wow...it was just an amazing premiere. Kinda like the Lost premiere in the way that by the end of the episode I just wanted more. God I can't wait till next week! The show really was just epic feeling and great, I loved ALL the characters and their powers. That japanese dude teleporting to New York was an awesome moment as was when the chick with the genius son waking up to find those guys dead...And the ending...wow...I couldn't believe it when that guys brother just flew up in the air and saved him. I really can't wait to see where they go with this in the future with the Cheerleader's dad apparently being the bad guy and the fact that based on the previews that it seems they're gonna become some sorta super team type of thing. I just can't wait to see what happens next. God I hope this is the next Lost and not the next Firefly...

Damn I'm gonna be watching alot of great TV this year...Heroes, Lost, Veronica Mars, Desperate Housewives...TV is being so good to me this year.

One more thing...what the hell has been up with TV.com today. It's not working for me half the time...what the hell??? I had to write this blog on Gamespot...

Well, I just watched the Desperate Housewieves season premiere and DAMN it was friggin awesome! A great start off point for the new season. I loved it! There are alot of interesting ways they can go this season just from what happened in the premiere so I really can't friggin wait to see what happens next!

So, I just started watching Veronica Mars about a week or two ago on DVD. I've seen 16 episodes so far and all I can say is damn this show is amazing! I can't believe how much I love it, in ways it feels like its filling that oh so devasting Buffy void and damn it feels good! Veronica Mars is THE best character on TV right now, I just love her! I can't wait for the season 1 mystery to be revealed, you know who killed Lilly Kane. Right now I'm thinking Duncan, cause ya know...the epilepsy, but that might be too obvious...I guess I'll just have to wait and see...DON'T SPOIL IT FOR ME!

Oh and I've recently gotten back into Charmed as you can see by my nice new banner. I finished watching the first season on dvd a few days ago and I was surprised at how good the show was! Now, just know that while I had seen season 1 episodes before, this was the first time I had seen the entire season from beginning to end. Besides being surprised at not only how believable the characters were, I was also surprised by the nicely planned out story arcs. Those big bad type guys who worked with Prue really fit well into the storyline and it was really satisfying when they finally vanquished them. Plus the whole Andy/Prue thing and Leo arcs were also very well done. I really wish I had season 2 on dvd so I could continue watching, cause, like season 1 while I have seen episodes here and there from the season through the years, I've never seen the entire season beginning to end so I really want to now...

Well I went back to school today. It wasn't that bad, though the place is still friggin depressing, damn purple school. My program was all messed up so I have to go through the whole process of getting it changed...again...it happens every year, ugh, stupid school. Thank god it's my last year...

Anyway, I just finished The X-Files season 7 yesterday. It was a good season, but sadly I have to say it's probably my least favorite so far. There were just alot more...blah episodes for me that couldn't hold my attention that well. It was still a good season though, so here are my top 5 eps...

The Goldberg Variation- This was just a fun, interesting episode. Oh and it just beat out The Amazing Maleeni, fun episode.

X-COPS- I LOVED this episode. Sure the idea is a bit gimmicky but it was so damn entertaining! I LOVED Mulder and Scully here. Mulder taking every chance he had, or at least it seemed like he did, to flaunt all his whacky theories about what the hell is going on and Scully hating the fact that the camera guys are not only there but capturing Mulder like this on tape. I just LOVED it, hillarious episode.

En Ami- This was an interesting episode. It was just really wierd yet fun to see Scully and Smoking Man together like that. Plus the idea of a cure for well...everything...and Scully being betrayed, for lack of a better word, by him just made for a great episode.

Je Souhaite- Fun genie episode, I was a bit confused with the ending though. Was she still a genie....or not? I know she said she wanted to just sit there watching people go by sipping coffee or something like that...but did she lose her powers? Did Mulder wish for her to become human again or no?

Requiem- Great season finale! I loved seeing them back where the show started. I can't believe that they actually ahd Mulder get abducted! And Scully's pregnant?!?!

And with that I say, season 8 should be VERY interesting. Though I don't have any money left so I won't be able to see it for awhile. I don't mind though, I mean, I did watch seven seasons in a row so I don't really mind a break from the show.

One more thing, I got Lost season 2 on dvd today. It's a very nice looking set and the special features sound awesome. Also, watching the first 4 eps, I realised that this show is so much better on dvd. They just flow so well watching them back to back with such ease. I mean, I remember last year when they originally aired, the whole thing felt a bit....messy, or something cause they aired a week after each other. And, especially with eps like these that start where the last left off it makes it harder to keep track of whats going on as well. So yeah....Lost on dvd = awesome!

    That is all.

What a great season this was, damn this show is friggin awesome! Here's my top 5...

How The Ghosts Stole Christmas- This was just a fun, sorta christmas themed episode. I just loved it!

Terms of Endearment- This was a great episode, but if anyone reading this blog knows I wanna ask a question. In the end...the girl who took the baby was trying to do the opposite of what Bruce Cambell was trying to do and trying to have a demon baby...right? Just making sure cause I wasn't positive about that.

Two Fathers/One Son- A friggin AWESOME two part episode. I can't believe they killed all those guys off!

Monday- A great episode using the always fun idea of someone living the same day over and over again. The ending was really sad that this girl who had to keep reliving it had to die for it to stop. Just a great episode..

Arcadia- This was just a fun episode. I loved Mulder in the episode and the way he kept breaking the rules, just a fun episode.

So that's my top 5...at least at the moment. When a show is as good as this you could very easily change your mind. The season finale was good, but kinda confusing. I didn't exactly get why Mulder went crazy or why what's her name was with him and why she took her shirt off, I'm very confused with that whol aspect of the episode.

Damn this was a great season, sure it was a bit short and overall there did seem to be just a bit more episodes I wasn't that big a fan of, but still, awesome season, lots of fun, creative, and overall different feeling episodes. And Scully and Mulder, damn they've changed, and it's almost most noticable in this season. Scully has definetely become a hell of alot more willing to believe and alot more open minded while Mulder seems to have become alot more arrogant and close minded which is surprising to say the least. Anyway, here's my top 5 episodes...

Christmas Carol/Emily- I count two parters as one...anyway...I loved this story. It was really great character development for Scully, seeing more of her relationship with her family and seeing her almost as a mother, just great episodes.

Bad Blood- This episode was just friggin hillarious! I absolutely loved seeing Scully and Mulder's side of the story and how they see each other. AWESOME episode and possibly my favorite of the season.

Patient X/The Red and The Black- Another great two parter, these episodes were just cool...and fun. I absolutely loved the scenes of that women being abducted with the crowd and those faceless dudes were just plain cool. Oh and Mulder just plain annoyed me in these episodes, pretty much dismissing what Scully said she saw in the hypno therapy thing and just seeming very ignorant about the whole thing.

All Souls- Just a great episode showing Scully's religious side.

The End- Woah, great season finale! I loved everything about it and I loved the end of the episode with the X-Files being burned and being pretty much gone, hence the title...I guess.

Well that's my top five, it really was an awesome season. I can't wait to see what happens in the movie and then in season 6.

Well let me just say that this was a friggin awesome season. Possibly the best so far, this show, to me, really just keeps getting better and I hope that the trend continues into season 5 and beyond. Anyway, here is my top 5 of the season...

Home- This was an interesting episode. Pretty creepy and I liked the idea of this family of inbreeding freaks living in the middle of a prefectly happy, small town. Plus, the mom...creepy as friggin hell. So yeah...good episode.

Unruhe- I don't really have much to say about this episode except...I loved it! Just a very well done episode...

Synchrony- Great episode. I was confused with one thing though. The way the guy killed the people, freezing them or whatever, since they managed to bring the girl back, shouldn't he have known that was possible?I mean he seemed pretty determined to make sure the future never happened so shouldn't he have killed them in a more well...definate way?

Small Potatoes- This was probably the funnest and most light hearted episode of the season. I loved how it started in one place with the mystery of why all the babies had tails and then just ending up in a completely different place with this guy who can look like anyone taking Mulder's life and almost taking advantage of Scully. Fun episode..

Gethsemane- Great season finale! I'm very confused with the ending though, cause obviously Mulder is not dead and didn't kill himself but Scully identified his body so....yeah...confused. I guess I'll see soon when I start wtching season 5...

Well, I've just noticed that I have posted a message on this site 11,000 times. That's alot. With me being here a year that's less than 1,000 for every month I've been here so I think it's a kinda perfect number. So yeah that's it...

Yup, simple as that, I'm back! My vacation was fun, though I was kinda dying to get home by the end of the week. I'm not a big fan of the beach in the first place and being on it every single day for a week is a bit much, but, eh...I'm back! That is all.

Ok well, first off, in about 3 hours I'm gonna be going on a plane to Cancun for a week long vacation with my family. I've never been to a place like it, so it should be fun. Obviously, I won't be here for that time so I just thought I should inform everyone about that, not that anybody really cares...

The Descent, I saw this a couple of days ago and was gonna write a blog about it but completely forgot so here it is now. Oh and obviously there are some spoilers for the movie ahead. Great movie, very suspensful and just plain fun. In case you didn't know, this movie is about 6 adventurous girls who go to explore what they think is a completely safe underground cave someplace. When there, they get trapped inside and then learn that the girl who brought them there lied to them and that the cave is completely undiscovered. As a result of that, it becomes a life or death situation which worsens when they begin to be attacked by a group of monsters who have lived down there for who knows how long.

So, that's my description of the movie, it really was a great movie. The monsters were creepy as hell and it was just plain fun to watch. Still though, I had a couple major problems with the movie. My main one is a string of events in the movie which start with the asian girl accidentally stabbing one of the other girls in the throat with her pick axe when they first get attacked by the monsters...which leads to two scenes in the movie which made no sense to me. First, the girl who got stabbed tells the final survivor not to trust the asian girl...what the hell?!?! It was obviously a mistake, even from her point of view, so her saying that really makes no sense to me at all. Then towards the end of the movie when the final survivor girl and the asian girl are the only ones left, the survivor takes her weapon, stabs the asian girl in the leg and leaves her there for dead which, again, makes absolutely no sense to me in any way, shape, or form. Especially after they both just killed a bunch of those things together.

Those were the only flaws in the movie for me, otherwise I really did love it. Oh, except I didn't like the ending, which seemed to come out of absolutely nowhere, didn't make much sense, and was not explained in the slightest. Anyone who may have happened to see the movie agree with me? Still, though, like I said, great movie, GO SEE IT!

God that was longer than I originally intended it to be...eh, whatever. Now onto the top 5 episodes of The X-Files season 3. I just finished watching the season tonight, and I must say, WOW. What a great season! Seriously though, this show just keeps getting better, if season 4 follows the trend it should be absolutely friggin amazing! Anyway, on to the top 5 episodes...

Nisei/731- Ok, so I'm kinda cheating by including this two parter as one episode but, eh, whatever. Anyway, I loved these episodes, it was cool to learn more about Scully's abduction and alien/human hybrids are always bring about tons of fun! They were alien/human hybrids right? Or did I misunderstand the eps?

War of the Coprophages- You know, I love these funny episodes of The X-Files, they're just plain fun, you know?

Jose Chung's From Outer Space- This was a bleeping hillarious episode. Aren't I so bleeping clever you blankheads. No? Well why don't you all just go bleep yourselves you bleeping blankity blanks.

Quagmire- Damn this episode was friggin entertaining! I loved that in the end it was an alligator killing all the people and not the thing in the lake. Or maybe it was the thing in the lake and the alligator only came in at the end and attacked that guy and Mulder...hmmm...

Wetwired- Why is this on here? Seeing Scully go crazy is just priceless, that's why! Plus, come on, tv making people kill, how could you NOT love that?

So there's my top 5, it really was a great season. The finale, while not top 5 material for me, was awesome! I ordered seasons 4 and 5 online a couple of days ago and they should be here by the time I get back so I cannot wait to see what happens next!

    That is all.

Well this is basically a list of my top five favorite episodes from each season I've seen so far. I'll probably do this each time I finish watching a season so...yeah...here it is, in no order...

    Season 1

Deep Throat- This was just an awesome episode, Mulder seeing the military UFO thing was just a great moment plus I loved seeing Seth Green and also seeing Deep Throat for the first time, I loved it.

Squeeze- Pretty creepy episode and I loved the character of Tooms. Also, the first of many times Scully gets attacked...does this happen throughout the series? Cause it seems so far she is in that sort of situation all the time.

Ice- You know, it's wierd. I saw John Carpenter's The Thing for the very first time the day before watching this episode...but I still loved it. It was just a really well done ep.

Eve- Those little girls were friggin creepy as hell! That's all I have to say and...obviously...that I loved the ep.

The Erlenmeyer Flask- This was a great season finale. Loads of great alien related...things and the whole scene with the exchange and Deep Throat being killed was awesome and it had a great ending with the x-files being shut down.

    Season 2

Little Green Men- This was an exciting season premiere. The flashback to Mulder's sister being abducted was great and it was just a fun episode.

Irresistible- All I have to say is...damn that guy is friggin creepy as hell!

Humbug- One of the funniest things I think I've ever seen on tv, hillarious throughout. Just a great episode that was almost a parody of the show and a VERY welcome and surprising change of pace for the show.

Soft Light- This was an interesting episode...I just loved the idea of a killer black hole shadow thing and it was really fun seeing people just get sucked into it.

Anasazi- Another great season finale. Just very exciting and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Well that's the list...I can't really say it's final at all, I could change my mind in an hour considering I've only just seen these episodes for the first time. Whatever...that's all!

Well...I'm in a bored/hyper/good mood right now...so I've decided to write a blog declaring my love for a show which is a new obsession for me....THE X-FILES!

I just LOVE this show! I can't believe I've waited this long to watch this show on dvd...well actually that's a lie considering the original sets were like $100 which is just ridiculous if you ask me but...eh...whatever. All I've seen so far is all of season one and 14 eps of season 2...though I do already have season 3 on dvd as well and I'm gonna buy seasons 4 and 5 and the movie as soon a s possible. The thing that sucks is I only have money for those so I'll probably have to wait awhile before I see seasons 6-9.

Anyway...here's this banner thing that I just made out of...again...boredom/hyperness/the inability to be tired and/or fall asleep at the moment...featuring the half-human, half-something else monster thing from one of my favorite episodes so far...The Host!

And another very similar one with Mulder and Scully...
