Call of Juarez (BiB) + Fo3 (xbox)+ Prince of Persia
Recently I had a birthday, and I received the video games mentioned in the title.
I found it very interesting, because in my mind it kind of symbolised modern video games. There is:
- always some form of combat.
For some reason, of which no one is quite sure, teens and pre-teens have a fetish for fighting. They like wrestling (sometimes), they hit each other for no reason, and they seem to always want to pick a fight (myself excluded, because I'm perfect. What? you got a problem with that? You wanna take this outside? Meet me at the playground, 3 o'clock. Be there). So logically, they would like to simulate ones, through the most advanced technology around oddly enough.
- Always an antagonist.
Kids also love to see the bad guy hit the dust (Call of Juarez has a betrayal instead of an antagonist, Fallout 3 is broken up into so many different quests there's got to be at least 12 antagonists, and Prince of Persia it's a cloud) doesn't matter who they are. HA, die Darth Vader! Take that Zakhiev! And stay down Overseer! Did that hurt Obama? anything similiar could make do.
- Always a buddy at one point or another.
Some genious discovered that kids think it's more fun to kill Obama with a cybernetic friend. Even the LONE WANDERER from fallout 3 needs some help every now and then. Assassin's Creed is an exeption, assuming you don't count the Vigilantes or the Priests.
That pretty much sums up video games. Here's the short version:
Video games use combat to take down a villian with friends!
That was hiliarious wasn't it? That's why I put it down under Humor. I'm still laughing.

Darn, gone again!
Yeah, uh, sorry I've been absent the last couple of weeks. I know I told you that I'd be posting again, but I got distracted by Oblivion mods again. Odds are that the same thing will happen many times before I actually do anything usefull, so be warned, even though I'm completely sure that no one could survive without my posts (sarcasm) you'll have to make due without me.
Sooooo, sorry to ask butsince I have been making oblivion mods, if anyone comes across any websites, forums, blogs, or data sources about good level design could you please relay that to me? Thanks in advance.
P.S I heard that the single player for Borderlands is trash, and since I don't have Xbox live I decided it wasn't worth it.

I'm Back
I'm back. In Black. And I'm never going back.
Due to an annoying incident in CIV 4 I decided to take up mod-using for oblivion. There are really good ones out there. Unfortunately there are also bad ones. Luckily I only ran into one bad one. I got into Oblivion Mod Hype, or OMH, something some people struggle with their whole lives. I just put this as a little reminder that I didn't get kidnapped and was subsequently killed and left in a dumpster. Jeez I hope that wasn't an issue. Anyway, I'd just like to reccomend oblivion to anyone into heavy melee fighting and fantasy RPGs.
Peace...
