Well finally got around to making a new signauter and banner, both are exactly the same.

Well over the past few weeks ive been working in Maya, I want to learn some of the basic tools and techniques before I start viewing tutorials. Anyways here is my latest render:

Enjoy
Well its Spring *looks out the window, still 5 feet of snow out there* well at least for someeople it is, any ways decided to post up a new birght and gayly colourful banner; including a little quote from our little friend Ralph Wiggum.
On another note, expect an actual blog entry soon; topic yet to be announced but it will certainly have more of a point then this entry.
Almost forgot to mention my new signature (not that any one cares), I was to lazy to actualy photoshop something so instead I got a camera and took a picture of a Homer Simpson bobble head:

I almost forgot to mention I downloaded the educational version of Maya; for those of you who dont know what that is, its a 3D rendering software. You can all druel over my beautiful master peice:

Not bad for my first 3D render ever eh? Try to ignore the watermarks all over it, thats what you get for not forking out $6000 for the real edition.
Goodnight.

When I first started up the Crackdown demo on my Xbox360 I was expecting a half-hour of a medicore GTA look alike (you cant blame me, it is after all created by the guy who made Grand Theft Auto) what I got was a half-hour of pure exitement and once it was all over I wasnted more.
Gameplay
This is no Grand Theft Auto rip off, rather technically its the exact opposite because you play as a cop taking out the criminals. The superhero like traits in your character add a great amount of ability as to what you can do from climbing to the top of the tallest building in the city to lifting up a car and hurling it at oncoming traffic. You could spend hours climbing and exploring the city from what I saw it was huge and the demo only allowed you to roam in one part of the city.
The graphics and frame rate added up perfectly allowing you a very nice visibility range well keeping frame rate consistent. The graphics are very nice and give a comic book style to the game with thick black strokes and colourful envirtonments. The characters, vehicles, and building all have great detail in them well keeping to the comic book feel.
Overall Experience
This game is shapping up to be realy cool game, and on top of that the final version will include an invitation to the Halo 3 beta. This game is definatly going on my preorder list.
Crakdown is being released on February 20th.

CrysisPlatform: PC Developer: Crytek Publisher: EA Games
It was an easy decision that this game should
definatly be in my list of the top 5 games considering that its made by the developer who created Far Cry and that the graphics are so dang pretty. When I first saw the screens from Crysis I didn't believe what I was seeing, never before had I scene such detail in a game it was like it came right out of a movie. It is a perfect example for Microsoft's new Direct X10.

One can safely assume that Crytek isn't making a game that will be forgotten within a month. Considering how well the gameplay was in Far Cry it is also safe to say that Crytek knows what they are doing in not only graphics but also gameplay.
Assassin's CreedPlatform: PS3 Developer: Ubisoft Montreal Publisher: Ubisoft
Naturally when I heard this game was being developed in Canada I took an immediate interest in it and from what I saw I really liked the concept of it. I really like the idea of a game set during the Crusades, I have always been into historical things, so this was right up my ally. I also liked the idea of not being able to fight off the whole town guard but rather being vulnerable and having to design a plan to get in and out.

I have always been a fan of open world games and this one appears to be different from other ones I have recently played so I am really looking forward to it.
Super Smash Bros. BrawlPlatform: Wii Developer: Nintendo Publisher: Nintendo
This game may not have a intricate story, breathtaking graphics, or a complex formula but it is crazy fun. This time around they are adding more characters from the infamous Wario to Solid Snake and a whole slew of levels to bash around on with your friends. There isnt much you can say about the game because it will probably be the same simple gameplay formula used in the last two SSB games which still has yet to fail, the only thing that is going to change is the controls, nothing has been announce on how the game will control with the Wiimote but I know that Nintendo will not disappoint us.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl looks very promising with the new characters and upgraded graphics and I will definitely be picking it up the day it comes out.
Mass EffectPlatform: 360 Developer: BioWare Publisher: Microsoft
This game has interested me ever since I first got a glance at it in the Official Xbox Magazine, the thought of having a whole universe to explore with a bunch of different galaxies and planets within it got my attention. The game is being developer by BioWare so that alone should of got your attention as well. When I saw how the interaction system worked I also had a joyful feeling, I love games that give you the option to choose what you want to do and how you do it.

To top it all off the graphics look top notch. Not only does this game look amazing its also being developed in Canada.
Halo 3Platform: 360 Developer: Bungie Software Publisher: Microsoft
You probably guessed this one, you knew I couldn't resist, Halo is a great series and I have enjoyed playing both the first and second since they came out. All of the Halo games have had a great story and very fun multilayer and I expect nothing less from Halo 3. It's also pretty safe to say that they will have online co-op which will make the game that much more playable.

Add a few more vehicles, more levels, and the end to the Halo story and you got your self a great upcoming game that I can hardly wait for.

A few other games that were at the top of my list but didn't quite make it into the top 5 are the fallowing (in no particular order):

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Super Mario Galaxy
Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway
Medal of Honor Airborne
Burnout 5

Well I guess that they are compiling a new list of the 7 wonders of the world, its sounded cool so I headed over to www.new7wonders.com to vote so I could "...be apart of the history in making!". It was difficult to come up with my top 7 out of the 21 that they have listed, but in the end I came up with:
Chichen Itza
Christ Redeemer
Colosseum
Great Wall
Kremlin / St. Basil
Pyramids of Giza
Stonehenge
The 'winners' are going to be announced on 7/7/07 in Lisbon.
