I am putting aside my opinions on consoles and games, and creating the Activision Assault Union. This is a totally unbiased union that supports the great games published, anddevelopedby activision. The Call of Duty series, Wolfenstein, GUN, Doom, Guitar Hero, Spider-Man, Bee Movie, Shrek, Quake, Soldier of Fortune, X-Men, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and more are all some great recent activision games. It was recently announced that Microsoft had its biggest first quarterrevenue growth since 1999!!!During the three monthspan, Microsofttook in revenues of $13.76 billion, which is up 27% year over year!! In the gamespot article, it also stated that Halo 3 was the main reason for this huge Microsoft gain! I am a big Microsoft supporter, and people arefinally realizing the quality of Microsoft's excellent products,the new Zune, the Xbox 360, Halo 3, and of course, Windows Vista. Halo 3 made more than $300 million worldwide in its opening week, and $170 million within 24 hours, making it the biggest launch in entertainment history! These sales helped the Xbox division profit $165 million, and take in 91% more revenues than it brought in during last year's fiscal quarter. The Xbox division is finally showing profit for all the great work Microsoft has done, and continues to do to it. Lets hope that Microsoft continues to grap exclusives for their console, and continues to make great games, have great support, and continue developing the Xbox 360. Nintendo also gained in the quarter (obviously), Cant wait for Super Mario Galaxy! Wii60!

On the other side of the fence, Sony, finally showed losses for their incompetant products. When the PS3 was in development, the 3rd party developers were having trouble developing for PS3. They asked Sony for help developing, and Sony pretty much gave them the cold shoulder. "We are big bad Sony!!! We have sold 120 million PS2s! The PS3 is going to sell 500 million!!! Soon everyone will be developing for us exclusively!! If you cant do it, then it is your loss, go develop for the xbox and wii!! HA!! We will see where they go!!" Well look at the standings now, and the 3rd party developers DID go to Microsoft and Nintendo, and were very succesful. Now the we get headlines like "Sony BEGS 3rd party developers for support" !!! HAHAH! It serves Sony right! They are begging the developers to give them some exclusive games, offering them HUGE sums of money. We have already seen in several interviews, the PS3 is much harder and more expensive to develop for than the xbox 360 and wii! This is the beginning of the end for PS3, "Sony game unit's Q2 losses double"! Yes, hey Sony! Maybe you should start honoring your warantees, give us backwards compatabilty, and stop forcing blue-ray on us! Meanwhile the Nintendo fans who were crushed by PSone and PS2 destroying thier superior consoles, now have a laugh back! Sony is finally getting what they deserve, dont be decieved video game fans!

Today it was rumored that Toshiba is going to begin building Xbox 360s with built in HD-DVD players! These new 360s will have built in wi-fi, anda bigger hard drive. This would also allow 360 to compete with PS3 directly, and would leave no reason for anyone to buy a PS3! This is the best news I have heard in a long time, and hope for a conformation on it!
