memowriting, memorizing, midgetpunching, muppetbabies.... Oh, it's Memminating?!
Mah Randomness: My last blog title is a quote from one Olivia Munn, one of the hosts of G4's Attack of the Show (im sure very few people knows who she is), I gotta stop making references assuming people know what im talking about all the time, lol. Gonna check out Blood: The Last Vampirethis weekend, hasn't gotten much publicity but I love the anime its based on so hopefully its above the craptasticness that was Dragonball. Happy 7.8.9 day, lol.

Mah Vid OTD:

Beware... the sea pig!- vid

Mah 2009 Memminations:
Most Memorable Guest Star Performance in a Comedy Series (Male or Female)

1. Callum Keith Rennie as Lew Ashby (Californication)
2. Scott Bakula as Steve Bartowski (Chuck)
3. Christine Baranski as Beverly Hofstadter (The Big Bang Theory)
4. Adhir Kalyan as Timmy (Rules of Engagement)
5. Sarah Chalke as Stella Zinman (How I Met Your Mother)
6. Emilio Estevez as Andy (Two and Half Men)Lew was Hank's mirror image in a time when Hank was trying to clean up his act so Callum's role on Californication bought a lot to the show. I LOVED Christine as Leonard's mom and even though she only appeared the one time her connection with Sheldon was too funny and left me wanting more. Adhir has been brilliant in everything ive seen him in and he meshes well with the castas Russell's assistant on Rules of Engagement.

Most Memorable Guest Star Performance in a Drama Series (Male or Female)

1. Misha Collins as Castiel (Supernatural)
2. Jimmy Smits as Miguel Prado (Dexter)
3. Christopher Heyerdahl as Alastair (Supernatural)
4. Allan Tudyk as Alpha (Dollhouse)
5. Gabrielle Union as Jane Seever (Life)
6. Zeljko Ivanek as Emile Danko (Heroes)Misha was a great addition to the cast of Supernatural this past season and so was Christopher as Alastair, if Chris had more appearances he most likely would have been my top pick. I think most of the mystique with Allan being Alpha was the fact that I didn't expect it. Probably sounds odd cus it's a Whedon production and obviously it would be one of the people from his past but I just didn't figure it would be him.

Most Memorable Male Performance in a Comedy Series

1. Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory)
2. Charlie Day as Charlie Kelly (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia)
3. Neil Patrick Harris as Barney Stinson (How I Met Your Mother)
4. David Duchovny as Hank Moody (Californication)
5. James Roday as Shawn Spencer (Psych)
6.Tyler Labineas Bert 'Sock' Wysocki(Reaper)Jim Parsons is friggin hysterical; he can make simple things like ordering takeout food or doing laundry the most complex tasks and that's part of his charm. Without him the show would be meh. I guess you could say the same for Charlie Day on Always Sunny, if you didn't know you were watching a tv show you'd swear the guy was bat shyt crazy. I think we all know NPH is just awesome incarnate and James Roday is consistently sarcastic on Psych. It was a toss up between Tyler Labineand Ray Wisefor there for their respective roles on Reaper and due to a little confusion onwhether Burn Notice was Comedy or Drama, i got to use one of them... sorry Jeffrey Donovan
.
Most Memorable Female Performance in a Comedy Series

1. Kaitlin Olsen as Dee Reynolds (Always Sunny in Philadelphia)
2. Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Christine Campbell (New Adventures of Old Christine)
3. Tina Fey as Liz Lemon (30 Rock)
4. Jordana Spiro as PJ Franklin (My Boys)
5. Amy Poehler as Various characters. (Parks and Recreation/SNL)Kaitlin as Sweet Dee is hilarious and more people should know it. I hope this doesn't sound messed up but there aren't many funny women on tv, this was by far the easiest one for me. I could have thrown in Cobie or Alyson from HIMYM but honestly neither of them are the reason I watch that show. Also Rachel Harris would be sixth but i dontthink Notes from the Underbelly qualifies.

Most Memorable Male Performance in a Drama Series

1. Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House (House)
2. Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester (Supernatural)
3. Brian Cranston as Walter White (Breaking Bad)
4. Damian Lewis as Charlie Crews (Life)
5. Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer (24)
6. John Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop (Fringe)Hugh wins out slightly over Jensen in terms of the dramatic due to House and his hallucinations. Jensen has always been great as the comedic relief in not-so-funny situations but in this past season he flexed his dramatic muscles more than he ever previously did. Damian Lewis finally shows that he's a badass and the show gets canned, what a shame.

Most Memorable Female Performance in a Drama Series

1. Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood)
2. Glenn Close as Patty Hewes (Damages)
3. Anna Trov as Agent Olivia Dunham (Fringe)
4. Rose Byrne as Ellen Parsons (Damages)
5. Kathleen Quinlan as Christina Scofield (Prison Break)
6. Summer Glau as Cameron Phillips (Terminator: TSCC)Anna Paquin is perfectly suited for that role, I really couldn't imagine anyone else as Sookie. I especially love when she stops being polite, its sexy! Glenn Close did an equally impressive job as Patty in the second season of Damages, probably more so cus she showed her emotional side more and lost control quite a bit. Summer as Cam is just eerie sometimes, I'd probably be too weirded out by her if she wasn't so cute
.
Most Memorable Fantabulous Phenomensational Moment!!!

1. Teddy talks to Sam and Dean - "Wishful Thinking" (Supernatural) 4x08
2. Chuck knows Kung Fu - "Chuck vs. the Ring" (Chuck) 2x22
3. Castiel spreads his wings - "Lazarus Rising" (Supernatural) 4x01
4. Patty gets it in the elevator - "Trust Me" (Damages) 2x13
5. Bill makes the ultimate sacrifice - "Day 7: 8:00pm - 9:00pm" (24) 7x13
6. Tempy asks Booth for his seed - "The Critic in the Cabinet" (Bones) 4x24I swear I watched the part where the teddy turns its head and Dean reacts more than 20 times, it never gets old. Castiel spreading his wings with thunder and lighting in the background the first time was a holy shyt moment for me and it set the table for the rest of the season and Chuck breaking out into full on Karate kid mode ala Neo in The Matrix was hilarious and awesome. It leaves the most to be desired of any other scene imo.Oh and Tempy asking Booth for his sperm was just plain funny. I had a few scenes from True Blood in mind but none of them can be described in detail without me getting TOS'd.
*Teddy Link isin the title

Most Memorable Imprestacular Marvelen-wait-for-it-dary Episode!!!

1. "In The Beginning" (Supernatural) 4x03
2. "One" (Life) 2x21
3. "The Monster at the End of this Book" (Supernatural) 4x18
4. "To Hell...And Back" (Criminal Minds) 4x25
5. "Bloodline" (Criminal Minds) 4x13
6. "Mayhem on a Cross" (Bones) 4x20"In the Beginning" was a very fun episode to watch, i think it sparked the most debate but then again, all time travel episodes do that. Seeing how similarDean and teen John were was amazing. I loved "The Monster at the end of this book" and when I accidentally erased it from my dvr I nearly shed a tear. Supernatural had a great season and I honestly could have put one or two more episodes on the list cus "Wishful Thinking" and "Yellow Fever" were both phenomenal to me. "Bloodline" was a tremendously creepy episode, and that's says something if you watch Criminal Minds.

Most Memorable Comedy Series

1. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
2. The Big Bang Theory
3. My Boys
4. How I Met Your Mother
5. Psych
6. Two and Half MenAlways Sunny is consistently overlooked probably due to its "edgy" subject matter. The antics they get into are outrageous, it's a wonder none of them are in prison. I highly recommend people watch that show, its very inappropriate, but in the best way possible. HIMYM is the longest bed time story ever but the dialogue is true to real life and the characters and their hang-ups are, legen... wait for it... dary!

Most Memorable Drama Series

1. Supernatural
2. Fringe
3. True Blood
4. House
5. Criminal Minds
6. LifeSupernatural has been a fav of mine since its first season but the addition of Angels really put the show over the top for me. Dean's faith being tested, him being chosen and Sammy's demon involvement all made season 4 the most Imprestacular. Life probably made the list over the other potentials (including Damages) cus I was so pissed it got canceled right when Charlie sorta lost control of his Zen. There were so many choices so this was probably the hardest category, I had to leave out Sons of Anarchy
. Smallville wouldnt even make my top 10, probably.
Most Memorable Ensemble Cast Award

1. The Big Bang Theory
2. My Boys
3. EntourageMost comedies wouldn't work if you subtracted a character but in the case of The Big Bang Theory its more evident. The guys have a great chemistry and the dynamics between Penny and each individual guy are all brilliant. Entourage and My Boys both have character that are all equally important to the main character, you cant replace any of them.

In-Memory-Of Character/Character Death Award (Posthumous)

1. Bill Buchanan
2. Jenny Schecter
3. Lew AshbyBill gets the top spot simply cus he went out a hero, I mean he died saving the president's life and it gets no better than that. Even though it was known about before the lastseason of The L Word even started it was sad. I hated Jenny throughout the series and was thrilled to hear about her death but then they had to go and make her a sympathetic character at the last minute. Lew's death would have been the tops for me except it was kinda self inflicted, also, it wasn't a shocker but it was still sad. Thought about kutner on House but his death was so random, also Nathan Stark on Eureka but its still unclear if he is actually dead for good or even at all.

Just Plain Awsh Peepsie Achievement Award (JPAPA)

1. JJ Abrams
2. Chuck Lorre
3. Jensen AcklesJJ gets my top memmination cus he made me interested in Star Trek, a feat never before accomplished. But this is about tv and he produced Fringe which in my opinion was the best new series of this past season. Chuck Lorre is responsible for two of my favorite comedies (Two and Half Men and The Big Bang theory) and I love his little vanity cards at the end of the episodes. Jensen got the nod over Hugh Laurie just cus I loved him as Dean in season 4 of Supernatural, plus i already gave Hugh the nod over Jensen
.
This blog was really fun to put togther but at the same time it was a pain in the ass looking up titles and names. I guess i could read and post it here, but im lazy like that so a link will have to do. Go to Macky's blogfor more info - linkage.

I have been touched by many men, but you i will remember the most.
Mah Randomness: Some guy backed up against me (butt-to-butt contact) while i was at the grocery store. I thought i was getting groped for a second, but to my chagrin (Chagrin, is that the right word?) that wasnt the case and the guy turns and says "sorry bout that". Pfft! no need for the apology, i often get the urge to grab a handful of my own ass, a little warning would be nice though.

Mah Vid OTD:

If yur eating anything and yur gonna click the link... STOP NOW!!!!!!This is more gross than any horror movie i have ever seen. - vid

Mah Ques?ion OTD:

Pretty soon im gonna have to buy more shelves for books and dvds, sadly dvds are the main reason. As many as i have i dont have nearly all the ones i want. Of all of them i think my favorites are my Venture Brothers cus they really packed in the special features. The commentary alone are hilarious enough to be worth the money. Of course Buffy/Angel/Supernatural/Bones/House ect. are great too but theres just more to be accomplished with animated features. Anyhoo, question is...
What tv show box sets do you own? (i know some people have A LOT soname yur favs if that'll save you time, lol.)

Mah Sports Talk: Over the weekend former NLF quarterback Steve Mcnair was found shot to death under what is being called suspicious circumstances. R.I.P. What the heck is going on in the NBA? Players are getting trading laft and right and many of them make little since. The Lakers lost playoff darling Ariza ut gained a comparable player in Ron Artest. Still dont know how i feel about it but as long as Ron-Ron stays outta the crowds on LA, i think it'll all work out. My Sox are doing well even though they are losing games due to poor feilding efforts, hopefully the pitching holds up and health doest become an issue.

Digg This:

Young People Fvcking {2008} . . .
Mah Take: Obviously going by title alone this isn't for the kiddies. It's rated-R but that said there wasn't anything graphic, nipple here nipple there and if anything there was mostly dude-butt getting showed and i think the dialogue is what made it "controversial". The guy from The Listener (who plays Oz) is in it and he is just hilarious and so very, very perverted. It was more comedy based on awkward situations more than anything else.

Mah Weirdness:

Story: I dont have ear wax. lol, gross i know but its weird. I used to get really bad inner ear infections when i was a kid and the medicine i took had that after effect. I guess its better than pulling out a q-tip to find something that looks like a caramel apple but i find it odd.

Hottie OTD:

Diora Baird. . .
Mah Take: Two big, very big *ahem* cheers for women who have meat on their bones, but thats not the only reason i like her. Until recetly the only roles ive seen her in are the ones in which she is the eye candy. She is still kinda fills that role in Young People Fvcking but she is also very funny. I read in her interview in Maxim (yes, i read the articles) that she would prefer not to get acting roles because of her looks, i think thats bullspit but whatever, she has a lot of roles coming up somaybe a few of those will let her show off her acting talents.

Hottie OTD:

JamieFoxx. . .
Mah Take: He sure has come a long way in his acting career, being the jingle writing playboy in The Jamie Foxx Show and portraying the legendary Ray Charles are worlds apart. It was nice and at the same time shocking to see his progression into a serious actor. Similar to the way Will Smith was shocking. He also sings very well, not into his music really but i wont deny his talent in the area. His performance in Ray was tremendous, both physically and acting wise. Even in the craptastic "thriller" Collateral he dida great job in what i think was his first non-comedic role. Oh and his stand up was good but i like his humor more in movies/tv.

Created By Me: Mah drawings...

2. My own Bleach character - pic
3. Confused Girl - pic
4.Audrey Hepburn - pic
Mah Music Spotlight:

Calvin Harris - I Created Disco {2007} .. .
Mah Take: Ive been listening to more an more electro pop music lately. I actually came aross this guy while watching tv and hearing his song "Colours" playing in a commercial. The guy is so weird, in a good way though; he mixes bits of hip-hop and Euro pop perfectly with lyrics that sorta come outta left field. The entire album is enjoyable but i prefer the faster songs as usual; also, i like the way the album tells a story if you listen to the songs in order. Its a small thing but it adds a little something extra.
Recommended: (Colours), (Merrymaking at my Place) and (The Girls)

Mah Tube: Last night sucked all around, there was no True Blood, no Hung (on tv) and no In Plain Sight
. I did catch up on Mental and Merlin; the latter was less impressive than the former but im gonna stick in there. Also picked up season 1 and 2of Stargate Atlantis for $20 each, my Stargate collection is near completion, just 4 seasons of SG1 left to buy and 3 of Atlantis
.
Mah Life: aka "The one with regurgitation"...
My sis-in-law is friggin HUGE! That might sound harsh but Im told that's normal when yur 7 months pregnant, she looks like shes gonna pop any day but still isn't due for while, its only funny cus she is such a small woman and the belly hits the corner before she does and she wasn't nearly as big the last time. I was asked if I would take pictures when the baby is born... Uh, hell no; in fact I plan on being as far away as possible when all that slippery business goes down. Its likely thatI'll be in the hospital parking lot feeding the pigeons cus on my list of things to do before I die, witnessing child birth is right ahead of putting my frankenberries in a vice. Speaking of things I'd rather not do, while at my moms house (to cut her grass, I dunno how im roped into doing these things) I overheard one of her friends talking about her exercises. Wouldn't have been a big deal if this weren't a 60 year old lady and the exercises involved kegel thrusts
. Other than the pics I posted up there, im currently working on wanted posters of Sam and Dean Winchester... any ideas what they should be wanted for?Ihavent actually puked but i did eat enough over the weekend that it wouldnt have been a surprise if i did. Is there anything better thanbacon cheeseburgers? i think not. That'll be all for now...

Jesus Juice and Marshmallow Hell

Randomness: Without spoiling itfor those who havent seen it, Transformers: Revenge of the fallen was crazy good.IMO much betterthan the first and im not just saying that cus of the cgi upgrade, though it didnt hurt. Also watched Horton Hears a Who with the niece yesterday, good movie but why was that kangaroo such a bytch?

Last week the entertainment world lost a legend; Michael Jackson passed away Thursday at the age of 50 after heart complications and a breif stint in a coma. Some people may not have liked him as a person but there was no denying his artistic talent. For all his social ineptness, he was still the King of pop. I was gonna do a top ten list on my favorite songs from him but it would have been too hard to narrow it down to just ten so this is...
Mah Top 10 Favorite KOP Music vids:

*Links to vids in the titles.10. Leave Me Alone - He made a lot of videos that displayed his awareness as an activist but i think this is the only song/video where he kinda fired back at his critics. I loved the video in particular cus of tiny rocket he was flying and there was a lemur, how awesome is that. Seriously, how many people can pull that off? You wont see Diddy or Soulja Boy riding a tiny rocket with pet monkey in toe while dancing with the skelton of an elephant man.
9. You Rock My World - While rappers talk about how much they love Sacrface and the Godfather, Michael Jackson had the pull to get Marlon Brando (who at the time had all but retired fom acting) appear in his music video. The dancing is great as usual but the thing that always cracked me up in this vid was Mike being the tough guy and kicking some ass.
8. Jam - I remember the huge fuss made over this vid cus it was hyped as having the two biggest stars in world in their respective fields converging to teach each other a thing or two. Its still hilarious watching Jordan's long and lanky self try to dance. Tall people shouldnt dance, ever! Also loved the trick shots, just fun.
7. Beat It- While not nearly as funny as Weird Al's "Eat it". this vid stands out for one reason... the infamous zipper jacket. A kid in my elementary school had one and even though he looked like an ass wearing it, i was jealous. I loved the knife fight scene, thats cla-ssic and so very lame at the same time. If only the police were skilled in the art of dance, there would be no more violent gang wars. lmao, i didnt notice this until now but the guy from the old cop drama New York Undercover is in this vid.
6. Billie Jean - This was a ground breaking video for the fact that it was the first music video by a black artist to befeatured on MTV. I think it was the first vid where he debuted his verison of the moon walk too. I loved it cus i for the longest time wanted some of those panels that light up when ya step on them. I should look for them online but i'll probably never find them and find out Mike's awesomeness alone made the streets light.
5. Bad - Who else but Michael Jackson could survive a dance battle in the subway againt Blade and what has to be the two gayest gangs in the world; gay in a awesome Jack Harkness sort ofway, not the prison rape kinda way. Anyhoo, more great dancing and this is actually my favorite song from Mike despite only being the 5th vid.
4.Scream - I think this one still holds the record for most expensive music video. Something i still dont understand cus he could have gotten the same effect by destroying a vase from Target but i guess it adds to his awesomeness that he spared no espese. The reason i like it so much is cus Mike and Janet are in it togther for the first and only time. I remember being shocked and very impressed that Janet could keep up with Michael's dancing.
3.Smooth Criminal- This was his only video that feltlike to an actual movie going experience (Moonwalker),the guy turned into a car and a friggin robot, lol.Its also the only video ever that i felt any sort of emotion while watching. The first time i saw it there was worry and fear, even though i was a kid, to get that from a music video is something great by itself. Of course the best part is that lean, i would be willing to be at least 20 kids lost teeth trying to do that move only to crack open their mouth on a coffee table.
2. Thriller - There is no way to even begin counting how many times i have watched this vid. As a kid i had the VHS and watched nearly everyday mostly cus it scared the crap outta my younger sister, other than that it literaly never gets old or feels dated. The choreography is tops and the effort and detail that went into the background dancers is exceptional, you just dont see that kinda dedication in todays artist. It can be argued that its the greatest music video ever and contains the single greatest group choreography on any platform but still falls short of my favorite from him.
1. Remember the Time - I remember seeing him turn into sand the first time and going Holy shyt, did that really happen. I think this was his first (or maybe second after Smooth Criminal)truly spectacular video in terms of effects which by the way were before their time. Perhaps other than Thriller, this vid has the best choreogrphy ever.
Honorable mention to Ghosts which got left off the list cus it was a movie. not technically a music video but it was equally if not more impressive than any of his other vids. There are so many great songs from him but he revolutionized the music industry by creating the big budget music video; they were actually more like mini-movies in both length and quality. He spared no expense to convey his vision and share his passion with the world, his transformation (literal and figurative) from kid to adult was astonishing and though I never got a chance to see him perform live, Im glad I was around to see him at his best. He set a standard as a performer that to my knowledge has yet tobe matched...R.I.P.
Ques?ion OTD: While i wasnt particularly pleased with the news ofhis death taking priority over everything else during the weekend, i was and willlikely forever be a fanof his music. Like i said, it would have beentoo hard to narrow it down to just 10 songs but i do know my number 1fav is "Bad". Anyhoo, question is...
What is yur favsong or video by Michael Jackson?

Gotta love Chizuru and Boobie-chan. Its not exactly marshmallow hell, but close enough. And its the only one i could find on short notice that wouldnt earn me a TOS violation.
