    2 New Games

I got Okami (Wii) and Civilization Revolution (360) yesterday. I haven't played much of Okami yet because Civ is so addictive but it seems like an ok game, the celestial brush is a great idea but the rest feels like a Zelda clone, even the art style, which is one of the main draws, is a little Wind Waker-like. Civ on the other hand is just incredible 2ndfavoritegame on the 360 right now. I've already won a cultural victory with Napoleon on Warlord and I've just about won a technological victory with theJapanese. I really like how each civilization and government have their own bonuses and drawbacks and I think having a fate-like combat system (if thats the name) prevents cheating. The fate-like combat system prevents you from attacking with a slightly weaker unit, losing, and then just loading the game from before the battle. You can still load the game but if you fight again you'll lose the exact same way.

    Manticore32's Top 5 Games of E308

    1) Rock Band 2
I played the first one so much I don't need any new features, just better graphics and tons more songs.

    2) NBA Live 09
The new DNA Dynamic system adds so much to the immersiveness of the game. Scouting out teams for the playoffs is going to be pretty sweet, and I loved the gameplay of the first one. This is the main feature of the new game but with the 10 person online multiplayer, I'll be getting this game when the season rolls around.

    3) Too Human
I've played the demo so much and I'm so excited for August 19th. The camera angle might be a little off but thats one hinderance to another wise spectacular cinematic like game. Baldur is full of customisability. From the top (character types), all the way down to the bottom (blueprints) and everything in between. The story is very difficult to understand at first but once you go through a few of the flashbacks all is clear. The combat is outstanding, from battle cries, to spider attacks, to 5 different kinds of weapons (pistols, staves, hammers, laser rifles, rods), to the simplistic ruiners. There seems to be a unique boss at every turn and this game is going to be on my buy list until I get it.

    4) Champions Online
The first MMORPG for the Xbox 360, and from the makers of Guild Wars, can I be dreaming? The game starts with you making your own superhero from scratch, from his powers right down to his cape. Then as you enter the world of Chapions you discover the most powerful supervillain in prison breaks out, uh oh. Your hero gets 5 attacks mapped to 5 buttons on the Xbox controller. The left trigger is an attack modifier and the right trigger is to block. We have yet to see if you can still team up with other heroes or trick out your base but I'm almost positive a clan-like system will fall into place in this game.

    5) Xbox Experience
Okay, its not a game, but I'm still pumped for this to come rolling onto the Xbox. The new avatars are by far the biggest draw for me but being able to speed up my Oblivion game by saving it to the hard drive will be a huge plus. Hopefully Microsoft will give us our points for spending on those themes and gamer pics.
