Goodness, it's been a while since I posted here. Much news in my world, get ready for it.... I was laid off! YAY!!! I'm a statistic! 13 years at the station I worked for, and it's all gone in about fifteen minutes, maybe even less. That happened Dec. 5 and I still haven't found a new job. I'm actually starting to get really worried, since my severance runs out next month. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to keep computer access, but hopefully something will happen soon. A friend is trying to help me get a job at a local Walgreens, but I'm not really holding my breath. Sure, its not what I'm trained for, and seems like a step down, but you do what you have to do. Worse comes to worse, I'll be moving to Las Vegas sooner than I expected. I went out there for Christmas, and it was great seeing my family, but now I miss them more than ever. Though I do have to say it assuaged some of my fears about moving out there. I really like the mountains and it didn't seem big city-y at all. Though I didn't like all the sub-divisions and shopping centers. I guess they had to fill all that desert land with something, and with no trees or forests to get in the way, they had plenty of room to build. I've lived in a place with a long history, and Vegas is so new. Hopefully I'll be able to find a job there. Anyway, I think that's it. I hope everyone had a great holiday and new year.

Okay, so I've put off blogging here because I really don't like the new format; especially of the profile pages. It looks so bland. But, I figured I'd better drop by just in case anyone out there remembers me.

So, for those who would like, here's an update on my life. Nothing much has changed, I am definitely moving to Las Vegas next July, and I'm filled with stress over saving the money for said move, finding a job, and an apartment, and just living in Las Vegas, which I may have wanted to visit at one time, but where I've never wanted to live. Nothing against it, and no offense to anyone who lives there, but I'm just not a desert kind of girl. But, there be my nephew, and so there I shall reside. I'll do a whole blog about this later, but if anyone who is reading this has lived there, or still lives there, maybe you can give me a little info. Best neighborhoods, areas of the city to avoid, and, like, such as....

Okay, so updates on videos. Well, I believe I've made several since I last blogged... ah, yes, I see the last one I listed was Chasing Pavements.

Okay, so here are the new ones...

Okay, so there are three promos that I made for the contest at YTDAW for September.

    My For Warrick Promo

    Season 9 promo for YTDAW

    GSR season 9 promo

And then a video I made for a contest on youtube. (it didn't win, but I think it's pretty good)

    Lost (by Michael Buble'

And then the video I made for the October contest at YTDAW.. (which I DID win)

One of these Mornings~ For Warrick

And for a video I actually filmed. I was walking around downtown Macon, where I live, and I came upon something I just had to make a video of.

    Kung Foo Birdies

As for my writing... well, still working on my book, but I did recently get inspired by the latest offerings by CSI. I had to get my feelings out so I started a series of ficlet's in which each of Grissom's friends, and Hank, come to realize that....

    Something is Terribly Wrong

There are only 4 chaplets so far, but I have more in various stages of completion. Either they're handwritten and just need to be typed up, typed up but still need finishing touches, or finished but destined for later on in the series. In any case, I hope to finish them by Grissom's last episode.

Okay, I think that about does it. I hope that everyone has a very good Thanksgiving. In preparation for moving, I've had to reevaluate some things, and I'm taking the time to really explore all the things about my city that I've always loved, and taking time to say goodbye. I don't know if I'll ever live here again, and it really makes me grateful for all the experiences that I've had here. Things haven't always been great, but life is rarely perfect. Anyway, take time to be thankful for the little things that you take for granted. You never know when your world will be turned upside down.

    Love to all

    Hey guys!

Not much to say. I will most likely be moving to Las Vegas in a year, due to my family moving out there on the very spur of the moment. I have to wait until next September, though. I'm not really a spur of the moment kind of gal, especially not with much money.

I ask you this, if John Edwards will cheat on his sick wife, is there any hope for the rest of the male members of the species? I'm never surprised at what politicians do, but this truly shocked me.

    Oh, new GSR video.

So, yeah, I've found a couple of new shows that I've fallen in love with. Don't get me wrong, I still love CSI, but these two shows from across the pond are really battling the crime scene team for the top spot in my heart.

I'm talking about Doctor Who and Torchwood. I was even enticed to come out of my hiatus to tell you about a new video that I made for the Janto ship. That would be Jack/Ianto for anyone who cares. P.S. They are SO HOT!!!!

So, here it is, my first non-CSI video...

Janto ~ Something About the Way You look Tonight

Also, I've noticed that I didn't post my last CSI video, so here it is. It's Wedges!

Beauty and the Beast ~ Hodges and Wendy

And for those of you interested. The two fics I was writing are finished.

    Sara's Journey

    Masquerade

Well, I guess that's it. If you happen to see a TARDIS flying around, or a Weevil jumps out atcha, just let me know.

I borrow that phrase from Grant Wilson, thanks for filling us in on what exactly you're always saying. I always thought it was something like fedge.

Anyway, the reason I borrow that phrase is because I want to know what is up. Twice now I've found charges for services on my bank account that I know nothing about. The first one was last week, for $12.95, and when I called to find out what it was about I was chagrined to find out that when I'd ordered something online, (I think it was my desk) I was signed up for a free trial at this place, it was a coupon thing that offered roadside assistance and coupons on different restaurants and such. Now, okay, if I order something I don't mind getting a free trial of a certain website, but I should NOT be charged ANYTHING unless I buy the service. My card number should never be given to ANYONE else! So, I cancelled the service, but didn't get a refund. Then this week I'm checking my account to make sure the cable/phone/Internet bill had gone through and I was surprised to find another charge I knew nothing about. This on for $19.95. Now I KNOW I have never been to this website (another road side service place and it seems also a free look at my credit report) and so I call them up and again it had something to do with signing up for a free seven day trial. Which I NEVER did! Now they didn't mention that it went through when I ordered something, but I can't think of how else this happened. Now I'm worried about how many other services such as these that I've been signed up for. As it is, this charge put my account in the red, if my power bill goes through before I can get more money in it. And that means another $35 dollar charge from the bank. I just can't believe that this could happen. When you order something online your card number shouldn't be given to anyone else, and this is really making me mad. I'm not someone who has a lot of extra money just sitting in the bank. The money there is for specific bills and things and not for these kinds of stupid things. Well, now that I've vented, I think I'll go check my account and see if any other charges have gone through. I swear I will really badmouth the service I used to buy my desk if it turns out that they sold my card number.

    Mood... Pissed Off!

This one is a sad one.

A comedian is on stage, blathering on. He gets heckled on a joke about abortion and blows the guy off. He gets off stage and calls home to ask his wife if he needs to stop and pick up anything and to ask about their baby. A car screeches by and we get a nice piece of mis-direction when we think he's about to be this weeks victim, but no, it's just one of his fans telling him how funny he his. Still there is a feeling of foreboding as he gets in his car. He starts to back up and sees a box in his review camera. Cut to Brass Grissom and Catherine standing around looking down at a small child in the box.

Catherine take point with the body and finds bruising and small burns on the girls skin. David enters the pertinent info into the computer as Jane Doe. Later, Catherine changes the name to Cordelia.

Grissom takes the box she was found in and a bar code leads them to the address of a woman who had sent her a vacuum for her birthday. She's a chatty Cathy and talks non stop about what a good vacuum it is. Brass just wants to know what she did with the box. She calls to her boyfriend Dean James. (James Dean, backwards) and he says he thinks he threw it away.

Grissom also finds a hair in the tape on the box and a viscus liquid on the bottom. The hair belongs to Leo (something) who just happens to be Dean James. So they go back to talk to him and take him in. Turns out that when he was younger he did drugs and decided it would be fun to dance around outside sans clothes. Bad thing was it was in front of a bunch of pre-schoolers. So he got booked on a sex offense and had to register under Megan's law. Due to this he got harassed everywhere he lived, including having his cat nailed to his door. So, he decided to go with an alias and then he got his girlfriend and lived mostly with her. Catherine thinks he's lying.

Hodges brings in results on the viscous liquid and it's oil. He tells Grissom and Catherine that it's always a shame when such a beautiful child is killed, and Catherine takes exception to that, thinking that he'd think it would be okay if it's an ugly child. He gets confused and tries to explain his way out of it, but it's a moot point and Catherine leaves, mad. He asks Grissom if he made her mad, Grissom says yes, but she was on her way there before he opened his mouth.

Nick finds out that Leo had taken a car part to a garage in the vacuum box, and Catherine becomes more convinced that Leo is the killer because he lied.

Wendy discovers that the child's hair has been dyed or bleached, and Grissom quizzes her on how long ago it was. I think he's testing her because she's told him she wants to take the field test.

Also the burns on the child were chemical burns. Now the investigators know they're searching for a brown haired girl with straight hair. The televise an updated picture and the tv playing in the mess hall in a prison shows it. One man goes crazy on seeing the picture and yells that that's his daughter.

Catherine comes to talk to him and he says he knows who killed her. Seems he had a cell-mate who he bragged to about his perfect wife and child, and when the guy got out he asked him to watch out for them. A while later his wife divorces him and marries the former cell-mate. His wife had died when he was in prison, leaving him to take care of his daughter and son. Catherine searches the house and finds a chemical spill under the sink. No one is around. Brass puts out an APB.

A diner owner calls in when he sees the family and the step-dad takes the diner hostage. The task force leader asks him to let the kids and other diners out and he does. Then his wife goes to leave, not really wanting to, and trips and falls into the door. The attack squad thinks a gun was fired and they start shooting, killing the wife.

Brass is talking to the stepfather who says he's guilty and he'll sign anything they want him to. Catherine talks to the kids and find out they had been playing hide and seek and and the older girl had shown her where to hide under the sink. The stepfather had been asleep on the couch. The brother found his sister but not his stepsister. The father wakes up and find two of the kids sitting quietly and asks where their sister is. They lead him to the sink where chemicals are spilling out. He grabs her and runs for the...bus. He says his wife had the car. Anyway the girl dies and he thinks no one will believe an ex-convict didn't kill her, so he puts her in a box and puts his St. Jude necklace around her and leaves her in the parking lot.

Catherine is walking to her car in the garage and Leo (Dean James) comes up and starts to lay into her. Due to her insistence that he was the killer his girlfriend dumped him and called his job and told them that he was a sex offender and she threw his clothes out. He says he might decide to kill himself, since he doesn't have anything anymore, and if he does, he'll do it on her front lawn.

As I said, this is only on watching once, so I may have missed a couple of parts, but I don't hink I missed anything too important.

    Also, this weeks updates.

Grissom, Nick, and Greg are sick. Looks like Grissom has been hit hardest, but is pulled into work, nonetheless.

DA, Maddie something or other, is in need of help on her case where her number one witness to the murder of a man by a gang member has just been killed, and she wants the best, (and I'm pretty sure she really wants him. ) in one Gil Grissom to help her find out how the gang member put the hit out on her man. Grissom gets Catherine to beam back crime scene photos to his computer, but Maddie isn't happy with his hands off method, and wants him on the case, and she doesn't care about how sick he is.

She drops by with some case files and they sit down to watch some scintillating video of the witness telling what he saw. He's more worried about a traffic offense than with the fact that he might have witnessed a murderer escaping. She also talks smack about Grissom's team, which I think was uncalled for.

Grissom drags himself out of his comfy apartment and he and Warrick go to check out the gang leaders apartment, to see if they can find the clothes he wore on the night of the murder. They head up the stairs but half way of an explosion rocks the house and Warrick is thrown from the stair case, while Grissom ducks and covers. They discover the house had been doused in butane and a "McGuyvered" bomb had been planted to destroy any evidence.

Brass and co round up all the gang members and find one that seems the likely suspect, but he denies getting orders from the gang leader. Warrick checks out the leaders jail cell and doesn't find any means of communication, and he's not allowed visitors, or mixing with the general population.

It turns out to be possible that Maddie herself is the one that led the gang to know about the Grand Jury, as she met with the witness in a public place and then led them back to the court house where she just happened to be witnessed leading 12 random people into the courthouse. Way to lay low, Maddie.

Anyway, Grissom uses his Grissomness to figure out that the gang tag that had been on the car was stenciled on, then paint over to make it look more freehand, and put that with the fact that Hodges figured out that paint wasn't spray paint, but a hand-mixed oil based paint, and bingo, they figure out that a gang member wasn't the one to do the tagging.

So who do they suspect now, well, the wife he was always fighting with, and her father, who loves his little girl. And oops, daddio forgot to throw away the proof that his paint brush and paint were used on the car, and he's caught red handed. Don't think darling daughter is has any gratitude though, she thinks he's a big bully.

Grissom discovers that he gang leader was a regular in the library and shows off his literature knowledge when he finds the books by author without asking. He discovers that a page has been torn out of the middle of each book, and that the prisoner still has the last book. So, off they go to check out the book, forestalling the prisoners release. Turns out that he's been leaving urine messages in the books, and the last one is to put a hit out on DA Maddie. So, he'll be going away fro conspiracy to commit murder, if nothing else.

Now, Maddie and Grissom sit down for a drink, and she says that he's the best man in her life. He's either her enabler, or her soul mate, and by the smirk on Grissom's face, you know which one it is.

So, Grissom finally makes it home, after walking Hank, and drops down on the couch. The phone rings, and he sighs, afraid he'll have to go out again. He picks it up and looks at the ID, and visibly relaxes, laying back on the couch and smiling, ready to talk for hours. And if you don't know who the caller is, well, you're just DENSE!

Yes, I know I didn't mention everything, but I'm working from memory, and I only saw the ep once. I'll add to it once I watch again.

    I give it 4 smiles.

That's about all I have to say about that for now, except that this episode should ROCK! If they kept more stuff like that deleted scene. They've been promoting Grissom's apartment so much that no showing it would be stupid, so I hope we get something.

I'll have more to say tomorrow.

    Hey guys,

Sorry I haven't been around, it's been a crazy couple of weeks. Hell week at work at first, and then life kept me busy. Plus, nothing really to write about and I don't like posting to say nothing.

To be honest, I used to come to this site mainly for the GSR club. I used to check it every night and looked forward to talking to other GSR fans, but most of the people I used to talk to have moved on, and though the new people are fine, when I have posted in the past few months I never got a response. I don't expect an answer every time, but to never be acknowledged? It just makes it not so fun to go there. I am still a huge GSR fan, and believe me, I love to discuss it, but I like it better when someone participates in the conversation with me. Of course, it doesn't help that there have been no new episodes of CSI, and maybe I'll feel better and more able to talk, even if I'm not answered, when some of the stuff happens that I hear might happen. I do miss being active in the GSR community, and I miss my GSR friends. Except Aussie, I can't seem to get rid of her.

I also realized that a few of you that are reading my fics might not have them alerted, (shame on you) and therefore may be waiting for the last few chapters posted. So, here are your links.

    Read in this order

And about damn time too! Can you believe that I've actually been watching Rock of Love 2? OMG the lowest of the low, but strangely addictive. I think Brett's wig may have me hypnotized. But I don't have to put up with that much longer! CSI is back on April 3!!!! With 6 new episodes!!!!!

I don't know what I'm going to do about Lost when it starts again though. I hope they move Lost back to Wednesday. And with Jorja saying in that Interview that she'll be back, well life it looking pretty good. In the TV world anyway. lol

That's all for now, but I do have to fic updates.

So, I'm watching the news this morning and they have this guy on, some guy in government, I can't remember his name, I was blinded by the topic. This guy co-sponsored a bill that says that obese people should be outlawed from eating in restaurants! Now, I am not a thin person, I need to lose weight, as does most of America. I don't eat out very often, but when I do, I eat mostly salads and grilled chicken, but even if it wasn't, that's still my business.

Am I wrong, or do we live in The United States of America? Where we have freedoms? I want to know where the line would be drawn. Exactly how over weight would you have to be to not be allowed to eat out? Would there be scales at the doors weighing everyone who entered and a loud buzzer would go off if you went over the limit?

This makes absolutely no sense to me. The guy said it would make people lose weight because they'd feel bad about it. Well duh! But I don't think anyone would lose weight. They would be mad, and probably go to the grocery store and stock up on ice cream and cakes just to prove that no one can say what they can and can't eat.

Also, this wouldn't work anyway. They'd just get smaller friends to go get them something. I am just without words and I just can't adequately express how bad this is.

He compared it to outlawing smoking in public places. Well, forgive me but I've never been harmed by someone eating a cheeseburger next to me, but smoke does invade my lungs, and I get bronchitis very easily because of this. There is no comparison! Argh!!! This just makes me MAD!!!!

If the government wants to help people lose weight, there are better ways to do it. Help them get free memberships at gyms; make the healthier food more affordable. Most of the obese people come from lower income families. They have to buy fattier foods instead of more healthy options because they just can't afford them.

For more information, check out this website.

On a lighter note, I forgot to post this last week, but chapter 10 of Masquerade is up.

    Chapter 10

Also, I have a new video. Aussie challenged me to do a video to All Saints, Lady Marmalade. I just want to assure everyone I am still a GSR fan, but the Grillow clips I had to insert work. This is in no way a slam on Catherine the character, or Marg the actress. It's just that her clips fit the song best.I hope everyone enjoys it and takes it for the bit of fun that it is.

    Catherine Willows as... Lady Marmalade

And welcome back BM! I'm off to check your blog.

Hmm, I received quite the shock the other day when I signed out of my e-mail. Heath Ledger dead at 28. Right there in front of me. Now to be honest, I have never given him much though. I've seen most of his movies, and thought he was a good actor, but that was as far as it went, which is how it should be. He didn't seek the camera, and I find it disquieting that his death had brought out the hordes of media reporting on the supposed reasons for his death. No, you should not abuse prescription drugs, but I would love it if we could find out the actual cause of death before he becomes the poster boy for how NOT to live. And exactly why does it matter who was called first? Now I do find it surprising that Mary Kate Olsen was on his speed dial, but it's really none of my business.

I personally found Brokeback Mountain the saddest movie I may have ever seen. Not because Jack died, or cheated. But because you know that Ennis will never find love again because of his fear. The clips from Forever Knight look really good, and it is sad to see such a talent snuffed out too early. I might not have seen the movie otherwise, I'd kind of given up on the Batman franchise, but I may see it just to see his final movie. And at least his daughter will have that much when she gets older, though it's cold comfort for a little girl who will be bewildered at why her father, the man who adored her, is no longer around. I wish her luck.

Now, if I logged on tomorrow and found out that Brittany Spears or Paris Hilton were dead I would NOT be surprised. This girl worries me, and I think she needs lots of help, but this blog isn't about her, so I'll leave that for a later date.

    For now I'll conclude with...

    R.I.P Heath Ledger

And for the update, Chapter 9 of Sara's Journey is up. Enjoy.

    Chapter 9

    Cloverfield

    Rating 4.5 Stars

I recommend seeing it. Just don't go in with expectations.

BEWARE SPOILERS LIE AHEAD (Spoiler tags not working)

So this weekend I went to see Cloverfield, and if you haven't seen it don't read my review, unless you want to be spoiled.

I found the presentation of first person very interesting, and the fact that all this horror was recorded over a happy day for two people in love, even if they hadn't admitted it then. And the camera work wasn't as shaky as it could have been which was a relief. I loved that they didn't just show the monster right off, because the little glimpses of it were enough to keep me wondering. I think I knew from the beginning that the survivors would be limited, since they found the tape in Central Park, and I kept watching who had the camera and wondering how it would end up there and them still be alive. And especially once they were in the helicopter and they kept staying right over the damn thing, I mean fly in the opposite direction why don't you? I'm sure there will be a sequel, because they did leave a lot of questions unanswered. Such as, where did the monster come from, how much of Manhattan survived, and where did the monster come from? Yes I realize I asked that question twice, but I really want to know. It was like a mix of dinosaur and spider. Weird.

    Thing I learned from Cloverfield.

•1) If a bunch of rats start running all in one direction, and its dark, run with them as fast as you can. Don't stop to think why they're running, just RUN!

•2) Don't run TOWARDS the commotion. No no no no no!

•3) Tell escape helicopter pilot to go away from the monster, or higher, but preferably away from it.

•4) If you happen to catch some video footage of the monster, and it mentions, and you see little animals falling off of it, remember that for later. BE AWARE!

•5) If you drop a camera, don't run back after it. Just RUN, Especially if this huge monster has just swatted you out of the sky and you survived a helicopter crash. What you want to do is leave the camera and RUN!

•6) If you get caught in a situation where the place is about to be nuked, get thee underground. You might not survive, but maybe you will. A bridge is not adequate cover.

There are probably more, but that's all that come to mind for now.

I was glad to see the actress from the cancelled show The C L A S S that I liked, sad to see her die though, and I didn't even realize that Ronnie from CSI was in it, which is a good thing. It means she's a pretty versatile actress and it's the character of Ronnie I don't like, not the actress.

    Okay, that's it for now.

    And now some updates...

    GSR/Sara ~ Lithium

    Comments and reviews are appreciated.

And I will be updating this week, though I'm off work. See I normally write at work, because I work over night and have plenty of time, and writing athome isn't too easy because my nephew loves to interrupt me, but I will be at the computer after he goes to sleep, and as long as my mom and sister don't bother me, I should be fine. Goodness I wish I lived alone again. I miss my me time.

And my friend gave me a scanner, so I will be able to post pics of nephew and town, and younger me soon! I love the generosity of friends!

    Everyone have a great week!
