I'm Outta Here
It's obvious that some assclowns on the staff don't want me here so I'm retiring from all my guides with the exception of The Untouchables, Perry Mason, Daniel Boone, Dukes of Hazzard, and Maverick. I'll still check in and process submissions for those guides because I've put a huge amount of time into them but I won't make anymore subs nor will I try to become editor for anymore guides. It's been fun but now I suppose it's time to leave. You can thank the staff. They've finally done it.

Finally Kicked In

The editorship for Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill finally kicked in today. I made two submissions to the guide yesterday and that was apparently enough to set things on the correct course. In other site news, it seems that British contributors are up in arms regarding TV.com's policy of duplicating guides for British shows currently airing in the United States. Can't say that I blame them. Maybe they could get the British fleet to attack San Francisco in retaliation.

One Down, One to Go
Well, the editorship kicked in for The Forstye Saga but it still hasn't for Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill. Don't know if it ever will for the latter but since Danmod made me a TU I can still submit. Still, it would be nice to have my true title. In other news, they say a lot of the bugs which have been plaguing the site in recent days have been fixed. We shall see what we shall see.

Once Again I'm Unique at TV.com
I think I might be the only person here at TV.com who's Trusted User for a Guide that does not have an editor. How can this be, you might ask. Well, it began because of a bug. Naturally. Due to a bug, the editorship didn't kick in after I had received 85 points for a guide. So, trying to get the editorship to kick in, Danmod made me a TU. Unfortunately, the system has yet to be fixed or fix itself. So now I'm TU for a guide that lacks an editor. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Don't Faint...
but I'm sending out kudos to the staff in general and Danmod in particular. Approximately one week ago I submitted a show for inclusion here at TV.com and it came back approved today. I was expecting a much longer wait given the horror stories I've read from others about their travails in getting shows added. Perhaps I've become someone special around here because my show was processed quickly and added. Or perhaps not. Anyway, I'll probably be picking up the guide for yet another British show once the points run tomorrow (not the one I submitted for inclusion BTW). The name of the show is The First Churchills, a mini-series which was the first installment of Masterpiece Theatre to air in the United States. The series deals with the lives of John and Sarah Churchill, Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, who were the direct ancestors of Sir Winston Churchill. Hence, the title. Plus, there are two more British series which I have my eye on so I suspect I'll be quite busy here at TV.com the next few months. You can wish me luck or you can shrug your shoulders and say, "Whatever."

Another Day, Another Show
Crossed the pond yet again to pick up another British series. This time it's a UK production of James Fenimore Cooper's classic novel, The Last of the Mohicans. It first aired in Great Britain in 1971 and then aired in the United States as an installment of Masterpiece Theatre the following year. I've pretty much had to start the guide from scratch but fortunately the DVD of the series is available from Amazon. Anyway, working on the guide will keep me off the streets at night.
