Too many games, too little time

...and money.

Seriously, there are so many potentially great games coming out this month that I don't have both the time and the money to spend it on. Basically I am torn between my wants and my needs. I know I want to play COD4, Assassin's Creed, Crysis, TimeShift, NFS ProStreet but do I need to? I mean do I really need to go out and play them as soon as they the hit the stores? Probably not.

Well I would love to do that, but sadly enough I have to attend other matters in life. I haven't even been able to finish some of the games I am currently playing. Check my 'Now Playing' list, there are games in there that have been out for a while and I still haven't found the time to finish them. Everytime a new game, that I have had interest in for sometime, has come out I find myself buying the game (as long as it got decent reviews). I play through about halfway into the game, but then there's this other game that comes out and I want it, so here I go again. That's how my playing list has grown itself.

What I need to do right now is sort out my priorties. I find hard it to believe how some folks can finish a game less than a day after it's released and put up a review. I am not talking about people who do it as a job. I am talking about us - the gaming community.

Good games this month

Quite a few possibly good games coming out this month, for the PC I mean.

Well, there's DiRT coming out next week, really looking forward to that. Then, the week after there's GRAW2, Overlord and Lost Planet. Although the lost planet demo was utter crap with no proper graphics optimization. Here's hoping that the actual game does a better job.

In the meantime, I have so many games that are still unfinished and waiting...gotta get them out of the way.

Ripped off!

I know that putting up the emblem takes some time. But its been two days now and still no emblem. Some might say, "what the hell? its just a freaking emblem!". But as I said earlier the emblem makes "Hour of Crap" worthwhile.  A refund of sorts, for the horrible horrible "demo preview".

Where's my emblem?

So  yesterday evening I ended up watching a completely pointless demo preview of "Hour of Victory" or something of that manner. Anyway it was a WW2 first person shooter. So where is my emblem? Getting that emblem is the only thing that'll make yesterday's (as one GS member pointed out) "Hour of Crap" worth it.

I want my emblem!

My landlord just made my day...

I am kind of a sociophobe. I don't like to get much involved with people and I generally keep social interactions to a minimum. It is one of the reasons why I am the kind of person that can endure most enviornments without any complaints. My recent room-mate was a major pain but I never cared about it much since it almost seemed like the morning sunrise to me. Just the usual happenings of a usual day in my life.

Until the room-mate moved out today (or rather was metaphorically kicked out by the landlord). I never noticed this place could be so quiet. Ahh, it feels so nice...

Long time

So how long has it been? It's like I only post here during exam time.

yeah, that's right I have exams next week and I have conincidentally noticed that I started a blog just before my exams last semester. I don't know how this can mean anything, but yeah just a weird "conincidence".

A lot of exciting games to look forward to after the exams, I should add. Seems like a good year for us PC gamers? Maybe Hopefully my system is upto the task of running those games when they come out.

Brian Lara International Cricket 2007
"Almost, but not quite"
Considerably better than its rival EA Sports: Cricket 2007, even with its own faults. Not perfect but still a good game. Continue »
