A visit from my dog Keisha. Enjoy!

They had another good marathon of "The Deadliest Catch" over the weekend. I also found one of the cable channels on FIOS that's going to carry the Olympics. They probably have so many feeds to cover, they set up several channels. I can't wait. August? It's too far away...
Finished another book yesterday. It wasn't that good, but at least it's over and I can go on to other things. My summer reading's going a little slower than usual. I've only finished two books, and I'd like to go faster than that. My dream is to beat my old record that I set the summer after junior year in high school: 37. ![]()
It's super hot now. I can't wait to go swimming.
Hi, everybody.
I've been watching "Cops" tonight, and I don't remember most of what I did this morning; I may have been asleep, maybe not, it's one big blur. I took my medicine and I felt so woozy I wasn't able to drive to a party at my cousin's house.
There were some awful rainstorms over the past few days. I guess we need the rain. It was tough driving in, though. It would be nice if we had those flying cars from the movies!
My dog is so cute. She got a haircut and now she looks like a puppy. It kind of confuses her. She looked at us as if to say, "What did you do to me?"
I am working on some writing projects. With the weather, I've had a chance to do some extra reading as well. Might as well get some use out of the summer.
"Do I play with the toy... or eat it?"
I am now #25, Coconut Phone, at TV.com. ![]()
I got a few more achievements on the X Box Live arcade. One was in Zuma. I've been getting achievements almost every day. I'm glad to see my gamerscore finally go up.
We finally got the car back from the shop. It was there almost two weeks. They completely replaced the doors. It looks like a different car.
I had always wondered what people meant by that, because I never had that problem on a computer before. I thought it was something that only happened at business offices, with really important stuff--not simple home PCs for peasants like myself. Anyway, this morning, my computer went through the BSOD crash and reset itself for no reason at all. I don't know what happened. Maybe there was damage during one of the storms we've had. I always try to shut it off when the rain gets really bad, but who knows?
Dang you, technology!
In better news, I had some more success on X Box Live. I played the Burger King games that came out a couple of years ago. Those are really funny. I also played some other stuff. I was disappointed with the Summer Olympics game. Oh well, they're not all going to be four-star quality.
That's it for now. See you soon.
(This is the front window of the Florida International Museum in St. Petersburg, during the Vatican Splendors exhibit this past spring.)
They are running new episodes of "Dog the Bounty Hunter." It's an unusual time to start the season, but I am glad to see some new ones.
I've been watching a lot of things on Noggin and Discovery Kids. They have some funny stuff on in the mornings. (That's what you wind up watching when you're a night shift worker and you come home in the daytime.)
I'm not too happy that they seem to have moved "Sunrise Earth" to a new time slot on Animal Planet. That's an excellent show, really nice to relax to, and the footage is beautiful.
I've also been watching quite a few things on the Science Channel. I like some of the technical things they have about space exploration.
More insurance hassles: today we had to talk to the lady from the insurance company for the other driver. I had to explain things to her a million times, and it doesn't help that my mother kept interrupting me. The other driver lied in his story, but the lady said she would support him anyway. Really. It gets infuriating. Anyway, we dropped off the car at the shop. I will be so happy to get it back and have it all over with.
One spot of good news, is that I figured out how to pick up a lot more stations on my wireless radio. It's great. I found the Browse functions, which picks up hundreds of Internet stations from around the world. I'm serious, I have listened to college stations from Germany, music stations from somewhere in Africa and public stations from Ireland. I'm exploding with glee.
I finished reading a library book, which is a relief because it stunk. I'm the kind of person who can't give up on a book, even a bad one, and so it will be an occasion of great happiness for me to drop it off again. Whew.
