One Little Duck

Just generally what I feel about games and stuff. I'll inly ever out a message here if it is unrelated or if I fear I will be told off for posting a message (which I have had done twice to date). I don't offend others or try not to, so if you don't like what you read, don't moan about.
My problem with online internet games

Online internet games are the current thing for alot of gamers. Infact you'd be pretty hard pressed to find a game that hasn't got online features these days. Not being a big fan of online games and much more of the combinations of paint and gun, I never got into them. In that lies a problem. You see, in my eyes, in order to have fun at somehting you need to be winning at it. Not neceserilly owning the world, the universe and most of heaven, but good enough to put up a fight.

Unfortunately this means that inevitably someone will always suck. And this someone is generally you. There is 1 exception to this rule I've found and that is my personal favourite online internet game, Gunz. Here is a game that doesn't require eons of difficult task doing and grinding. Instead all it requires is your own personal skill. You go up levels like in some online games (like world of warcraft) but unlike those games, this doesn't neceserilly mean your character is better, as it is all about how you play the game. You can give the newest player all the weapons under the moon and all the armour, but he will still be blown to bloody hell, as every other player is better than him. And as there are always new players coming in you always get better at the game. It is very easy to practice. So there in, lies it's brilliance.

Unfortunately however, like world of warcraft, there will always be people with low self esteem and have to go around and kill the newest of all players despite there intense skill. These people are few and far between, but they ruin game flow and are bloody annoying. Please, if you are one of these people here is my advise. If you have friends, get them to support you. If you have few friends, go out with them more and then get more friends. Believe me this is more fun that pc games. And if you have no friends, then put yoiurself out there. Go to a socialising event. Make inaproproate jokes. Show the world who yoiu are. Hell if this works, maybe all online games will be good. Please note, this isn't meant to be ripping on world of warcraft. it is that aparantly that game is the pionneer of all online gaming and so is the easiest one to get parrallels from.
