And the winner is, Xbox 360 thanks to a VGA cable

So after putting off buying a new console for the longest time, I have finally begun messing around with the idea of getting one. Even though I consider myself a hardcore gamer, I mostly play on the PC side, cuz.... well.... it simply rocks. But now that I'm beginning to see worthwhile games coming out for the consoles, I have started to think about which console I am getting. For many the decision is obvious, but I am very neutral, being a pc gamer. My friends would always tell me that a 360 is the better choice, because of it's current "premium" library of games, and a plethora of good ones coming out, BUT I, being a HARDCORE MGS fan, have always defended the PS3, stating that it doesn't have many good games yet because it is fairly new. Tonight however, the decision was made, and with a good reason.

I am not a very affluent person, and so I cannot afford a fancy HD TV (Even if I could buy one, I could hardly fit anything bigger than 25 inches where my current TV is.) Because of this I can only buy a console that lets me hook it up to my nice 19 inch PC monitor. After much seeking and searching the "Intarwebs" (Mudkips anyone?) I found that you can hook up both consoles to a monitor, this discovery didn't take me anywhere. However, upon careful investigation I realized that to hook up a PS3 to a monitor I would need a HDCP compliant monitor. After a quick search on newegg for my monitor I realized that it is indeed NOT HDCP Compliant. This ended my search rather anti-climatically, with no E3 realization of any kind... (The new MSG4 or a killzone 2 trailer would have persuaded me to buy a PS3 rather quickly.)

Alas, the console I fear will end up buying will be a 360... instead of enjoying MSG4 in all its glory I will end up playing besides my friends in halo 3 bouts, sharing matches with all sorts of halo fanboys. Oh well, on the positive side, I love bill gates, and his empire (thank you, you made PC gaming possible) and Microsoft goes as far a selling a vga cable, I will also be able to switch between the PC and 360 with the push of a button, and with the new extended guarantee, I will not be disappointed.

    Boredom S**ks

Here I am, once again, in the same spot I find myself so often. Bored, bored out of my mind, with no games to play. It seems like my repertoire gets bigger and bigger, yet I always come back to this spot. I could do other things, like go to the gym, or the pool, but something seems to hold me back, as if I was trying really hard to come up with a word, but I can never seem find it (In my case that word is a game.)

I guess this is where I go back to try to find that elusive game that will hold my atention for the next thirty minutes or so.
