Microsoft or Sony: who makes better exclusives? Part 1

Greetings, fellow gamers. I know, I haven't written any blogs for awhile, but here's one that I'm sure you'll enjoy. (I hope )

Anyway, my question for you is, who makes better video game series exclusives, Microsoft, or Sony? (Disclaimer: I don't have Nintendo on here, only Microsoft and Sony because I believe they are in greater competition with each other than with Nintendo, a point I will get to later, and also because Nintendo has a lot of exclusives which are so easily recognizable, whereas Microsoft and Sony don't have exclusives that are as recognizable.) I am just curious, because whatever way you look at it, the exclusive series are the real draw for getting a console. Sure, you could say you're getting a console because it has better graphics than the rivals console, but I say the biggest reason you get one is for the exclusives. Here's a couple fictional examples: Bob the die-hard Microsoft and first-person shooter fan doesn't like Sony and doesn't want to get a PS3, but then he sees an ad for Killzone 3 and then decides he has to get a PS3 for Killzone because he really wants it. On the other hand, Joe the die-hard Sony and cover shooter fan doesn't like Microsoft and doesn't want to get a Xbox 360, but then he sees an ad for Gears of War 3 and decides he has to get a 360 for Gears 3 because he really wants it.

The two examples I gave were mainly because Microsoft and Sony have some pretty similar genres in their series, such as Halo and Killzone, Gears of War and Uncharted, and Fable and inFamous.

Well, here are the two lists, so you can easily compare:

    Microsoft:

    Fable

    Forza Motorsport

    Gears of War

    Halo

    Sony:

    God of War

    inFamous

    Jak and Daxter

    Killzone

    LittleBigPlanet

    Ratchet and Clank

    Sly Cooper

    Uncharted

Another disclaimer: These lists are only strict exclusives. Metal Gear Solid has appeared for the most part on Sony, but it has appeared on Nintendo, and Twisted Metal was on Microsoft once, so I don't count those two as exclusives.

Anyway, I'll end this blog now, but soon I'll do part 2 of this subject.

My thoughts on Batman: Arkham Asylum

Batman: Arkham Asylum, the best Batman game ever. Have you played it yet? If you haven't, you should. Especially if you are a big Batman fan like I am. It is the greatest third-person game I've played, the best Batman game I've played, the best Beat 'Em Up game I've played, the best stealth game I've played, and finally, one of the best in my life.

I'm borrowing it from a couple of friends, and I started playing it on Sunday for about 4 straight hours. I am so addicted to it, whether looking for riddles, or beating up thugs, it's hard to not play for at least three hours in a sitting. Now, I'm guessing that most people have played it already, but there's still a chance that you have missed out on this phenomenal experience. Now, run out and buy this game! Once I beat it completely, I'm going to buy it as soon as I can.

Got a good game deal tonight!

    Hey guys,

Tonight I went to my local Gamestop to get all three Sly Cooper games for PS2, and because I just became a Power Up Rewards Pro member, I had a coupon to buy two pre-owned games, get one pre-owned game free. Plus, because of my card, I got $1.50 off, so I was very glad. I already started the first Sly, and it's great fun, just like when I used to own it.

    Talk to ya later!
