Winter has arrived with a vengeance. We got about half a foot of snow. While it looks beautiful....the driving is not the best. For some reason I cannot fathom Pittsburgh has difficulty with snow removal on the roads. I've lived in cities that receive more snow regularly and the roads are cleaned ASAP. And then their is the shoveling. If possible when purchasing/renting....definitely avoid corner houses. And if you can get a place without sidewalks....so much the better. I think I need a snow blower.
In other news I've finished Christmas shopping. Just have a few stocking stuffers left and a couple checks to write. Yay! Thanks for reading.....

...to those that celebrate. Happy Thursday to everyone else.
Anyone ever run into this issue with itunes? I have a CD I burned to my computer through itunes so I could put it on my touch. There are ten tracks in total but itunes in all it's wisdom lists the last song separately even though it recognizes ten songs. The only way I can get all ten songs synced on my touch is if I check the artist twice. For some reason it now as that artist down twice in the list. But then I get two copies of the CD on my touch which takes up space that I would rather use instead of having the two copies. Any ideas would be appreciated.
We have snow in the forecast for this weekend. Time to start the holiday shopping (but NOT tomorrow).
Take it easy....

Last night I broke down and bought an iPod touch...32 GB. It's enough space for what I want to use it for and it will take me some time to fill up. (More time than I thought. What a time consuming way to put my CD's on an MP3.) I have to spend the day importing CD's to my computer. Then to the Touch.
It makes me miss and appreciate my Creative though. They import straight from the CD to the MP3. But the new Creative with touch seems to have some issues. I can not currently find my Creative and it has my Skullcandy Ink'd on it. Either I find it or buy a new pair. The headset with the Touch looks incredibly cheap. But my Creative was only 4 GB and I need more room. So I purchased a new MP3.
Using iTunes to burn I have come across errors in song titles. Which annoys me. I've also had iTunes burn tracks out of album order. *sigh* I bought a wireless transmitter so I can use it in my car without dragging my CD's all the time. In time I might get a permanent connection installed. Depending on who well this works....and how well I like the iPod.
I'm assuming it will pay off in the end. It does look sleek. Though I need a Wi-fi now. Yeah I'm behind in most things. Still haven't connected my PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii up either. Pfft...I never put my Xbox on line. Anyway, those who have an iPod....it is a good purchase...right?
Thanks for reading....and remember...

Since I was tagged I suppose I have to post 5 things which is difficult because I don't think I have many secrets left after my time here but....
1. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's of Science in Business/Accounting.
2. While in the US Army I received several decorations for my work in Military Intelligence.
3. My favorite color is, in fact, blue though I do tend to wear quite a bit of black.
4. Since I manage a liquor store and have been sent to wine cIasses I have developed a taste for wine. I prefer red but can enjoy a good white or rose as well. I find the European wines to be the best for drinking. France and Spain produce my favorite wines but Italy and Portugal are able to tantalize the senses as well. Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone, Rioja, Chianti CIassico Riserva are the reds of merit.
5. Currently separated and a single parent with custody of my child. No plans on getting back with the ex.

Just started my last vacation of the year. Since I deal in retail we can't take vacation during the holiday season. Bit busy and all and I understand that. Still I miss taking off for the holidays like I did when I was in the army. Fortunately I don't have far to travel to see most of my family.
The weather has been a bit better this week and I hope it holds up for Halloween. Since I've been taking J out we've had only one wet Halloween and none particularly cold.
With the overtime I worked I've decided to pick up a new TV. That might just encourage me to purchase some Blu-ray movies. While I do have HDTV, I do not have 1080p. So Blu-Ray is an extra expense for not much gain.
Take it easy, thanks for reading and in the immortal words of Ludwig Von Beethoven.....
"Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy."
So enjoy some today.
-Peace out.

My computer crashed Tuesday night. Apparently some downloads from Microsoft did the trick. I couldn't do anything with the computer. Fortunately one of my brothers is rather ace with computers and I gave it to him yesterday evening and today I'm up and running. Strangely he swapped out the hard drive. He did copy a lot of my information but I'm missing my music. I have to have a word on how to recover that from my old hard drive sitting in front of me taunting me.
I've been this level for some time now (18 Sep)but I'm only at 9%. Only lost one day on the computer problem so that won't hold me up too long.
Being computer free allowed me to be annoyed with the cable company as it's sporadic service. Called them up and have a tech coming Saturday to check the equipment.
The weather has gotten colder and looking out my window it's been a steady rain all day. Ah well....I did get some chores done around the house today which was a good thing.
Peace out.....thanks for reading my ramblings.

Hit Level 63 Big Smoke today. Not a very exciting name for a level at all. As I recall it's one of the slower levels to slog through so I guess I'm stuck with that name.

Picked up Batman: Arkham Asylum today. Rare that I pay top price for my games but I've been wanting this since I first heard about it. Dude at Gamespot tried to sell me an open copy but I wasn't having none of that and got a sealed game. Fired up the PS3 and had some fun with the game. Good indeed. Buy it now.
About half way through with my Bond collection of DVD's. For the most part I'm enjoying the series. Some movies more than others, of course. Unfortunately the car chases make me want to fly when I drive. Not a good thing. I've had enough speeding tickets.
Have my new roof on. Not the color I picked. I had told my brother in law what colors I wanted. For some reason his buddy gave me brown. I do NOT like brown...but hey, it rained today and no leaks. Now I have interior repairs to get done. Always something with a house.
I seem to have rated a Harry Potter game. Not how did that get there.
Finishing up my weeks vacation...just the weekend left. J is back to school. The cycle continues.
Three blog posts in close succession. Must be a record for me. Anyway, as always...thanks for reading.

So today I hit 80K posts. Amazing when I think of all the users I've met. Some still here, some gone both by choice or other. Prior to coming to OT I had not much posted. I think only around 8K. Talking about games only goes so far.
I wandered into OT a time or two but it didn't catch my eye. Not exactly sure what I saw to start posting in OT...way back in '05 is when I called it home.
Thanks to the many who have entertained me over the years. And to those that argue as much as I....you are the reason for the 80K.
Cheers....

Yep...that's me. I have finished the Mr Big level which was relatively fast. Would have been faster but I've been on less as I've been watching DVD's. Have some games I need to catch up on as well.
Anyway, liked the level name so I blogged it. Haven't much to say otherwise. Rain today, sun tomorrow. The world goes on without notice of me.
Peace out.....

Two separate sections of my house had the ceiling fall in due to the incorrect work done on my roof. With all the rain we've had the temporary fix didn't hold up and the now ex friend I had that did the job didn't tell me he left wood exposed when he finished a gutter job. Another buddy is supposed to be getting a roofer friend of his to replace my entire roof but I haven't heard from him in a couple days. Hope to hear this weekend. I wouldn't mind except my house has some nice plaster design I have to try and replicate. I'm not the most artistic though.
I bought the entire James Bond DVD collection and have started watching the movies in chronological order. Thus far I have watched the first five. They increased in enjoyment in the order I watched them. Dr No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger (best villian and line so far), Thunderball....then came You Only Live Twice....which was a decent movie but a step below the recent movies in the series. I knew the series would hit the wall. Until I bought the set I had only seen a few scattered Bond movies on TV. Tonight it's On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I've seen the end of that one a time or two. Still thus far, I have enjoyed an evening of French wine, popcorn, and an action movie. No complaints as I'm enjoying the set. Considering buying the Pink Panther series next. Always good for a laugh.
I also ordered The Chameleons first album on CD Script of the Bridge. Post punk (80"s) is my favorite genre/decade and The Chameleons sound intriguing.
Anyway, thanks for reading as always.....

Yep I'm now a brand new spanking level. Mr. Big Level 61.
I have a three day weekend that just started. Yay! Have a couple parties to attend but not much else on the horizon. Had a minor catastrophe in home maintenance that I have to tackle though. Plus, I have some remodeling I'd finally like to be able to do. Here's hoping....
I've just about decided to purchase a new TV. Mine's a few years old and a bit out of date. Though that will have to wait until the new roof is on and the new bathroom at least. I was thinking black and gray with a whirlpool tub.
One of my clerks has been texting me some rather suggestive messages as of late. I've mostly been ignoring them. Not sure how best to handle that one.
Anyway, just commemorating the new level. Not much else to say......
Peace out and thanks for reading.

First to those that are of the US....enjoy the day. Paid holiday, food, beer, and fireworks....what more can one ask? For those that aren't from the US....well have the food and beer anyway. (Disclaimer...if under the legal drinking age I can only recommend root beer - enjoy it at your own risk.)
Yesterday at 330 PM EDT I started vacation. Yay! I don't have to return until the 13th. I had to shorten my vacation by one day since they are implementing a new system at work. And I totally agree with the sentiment you want something done right....do it yourself. So back I go. Thus far, every new change has been a disaster and step back. This will be no different as we are losing necessary capabilities for upwards of a year. Government.....if it works we'll break it.
Will be celebrating J's birthday at the end of the week so I'm trying to think of interesting activities for the week. Movies on said birthday are a tradition. Transformers 2 seems to be getting bad reviews though J liked the first movie and wants to see the second. Too bad the new Harry Potter movie comes out after since J has taken a likely to those movies.
I have my employees trained well. Now when The Cure comes on the radio my assistant goes back to turn it up. Saves me a few steps. Most of them recognize the band as well. I get told when they are played and I'm not at work. Now if only I could get them to do their job as diligently. Oh well....at least the important things are done.
Anyway, just stopped in to blog because it's a holiday and seems to give me a subject at least. Level 59 lasted only 5 days so I've been Level 60 for a bit. Not as fast. But Master Chief am I.
Again....have a good day whether American or not. It IS Saturday after all. Peace out and thanks for reading....

And finally bought a PS3. Happened to be at a Toy R Us and they didn't have a very good selection for games, plus J was with me so I picked up a game that he could play as well. So Little Big Planet it is. Currently in use. I have exactly one blu ray disc already.
Set up the PS3 and connected it to surround sound....Yay. Hope to buy more games in the future and get the PS3 as well as the Xbox360 and Wii on line so I can purchase some less expensive games.
Thanks for the advice and I'll definitely be picking up a lot of the recommended games.

After spending all year on Level 58 I have finally moved on and became a Virtual Hustler. Interesting name that is....since I'm already at 12% I'm going to guess this level will go faster than the last. Of course, it didn't help that I lost a a couple levels. Still it's nice to move past 58.
In other news I have gotten some repairs done to the house and now it only awaits the new roof. I have decided I shall probably possess a PS3 within the next week or so. *crosses fingers*
I did get all my E3 emblems....thanks to the dude in charge. And made a temporary tiny change to my sig.

So far so good. The Pens have tied the series and I believe if they play smart hockey the cup returns to Pittsburgh.
Watched ALL of E3 but didn't get many emblems. What's up with that?
Vacation is over and I return to work tomorrow. *sigh*
I have recently begun collecting superhero movies. Usually lots of action in them. But I still have some war movies I haven't purchased yet.
Planning on catching up on games and I want a PS3. Soon it shall be mine. It plays hard to get...but I shall get. Batman Arkham Asylum looks interesting. Does anyone feel the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games are just about the money now?
I need a beer. Off to hit the fridge.
-Peace out and as always....thanks for spending time reading my ramblings.

Haven't blogged in awhile. Mainly because it's been nothing but work lately. However, I finished working at 1530 today (or 330 PM) and don't have to return until next Friday afternoon. Yay!
Not really doing anything special as school doesn't end until Thursday but it'll be nice not having to deal with employees and customers for awhile.
Whether the PS3 goes down in price or not (and it's looking like it won't) I plan on picking one up this summer.
Thanks as always for stopping by.....and GO PENS!
