Chengdu, China - Home to the WCG 2009 Grand Final.

After spending the past two years (and this year as well) in North America and Europe, the WCG Grand Finals will be back in Asia next year. The last time WCG Grand Finals in Asia was held in 2005, where Singapore played the host to the biggest video games festival in the world.

For next year edition, the WCG Committee has chosen Chengdu, China as the WCG 2009 Grand Finals host city. As one of the most important economy and technology hub in China, the city is already equipped with necessary capability to make it happen. So, it's pretty natural that when selection committee mentioned that Chengdu received the highest marks among all the cities that bid to host the 2009 Grand Finals.

With millions of gamers living in China, I bet WCG 2009 Grand Finals will be a hit among them. Full press released available after the jump.

Fuhh, finally I have done with my java programming and doing a well presentation. I quite hate when I need to link my java to database and jasper report because it quite troublesome for me and it need alot of coding. Anyway my lecturer quite satisfied with my performance. Finally I get an offer letter to proceed my study into the higher level which is advanced diploma cum honour degree from campbell university. Yay for it. And someone that I really like threat me for a quick dinner at restaurant near her house, but it is quite embarassing for a guy to being threat by a girl. But I not bad either, I promise to threat her and her family dinner at the Chinese restaurant which I seldom go. Long time didn't try the chinese food... kinda memories to me.. hehe.... anyway I have done with my blog and I going to continue my study on calculus.

If only everything in life were this easy.
This individual is extremely generous when it comes to evaluating games. Each new game is "definitely the best game I've ever played!", judging by the very high review scores being doled out here. Speculate all you want, but we both know you're just jealous.

For consistently going against the grain.
Public opinion means nothing to the outlier, whose opinions frequently, if not usually, fly in the face of everybody else's. Either the outlier is crazy or everyone else is, and the outlier is pretty sure it's not the former of the two.

    Review :

Tangled mouse cord is really annoying. It gets even more annoying when you are in the middle of an intense battle. When you mouse cord got caught in the way, your focus would be disturbed instantly as you need to reposition your mouse cord and possibly, the mouse itself. A split second disturbance to your focus might results in terrifying pawn (to layman: died shamefully) at the hand of your opponent. You don't want that to happen, don't you?

An obvious solution for this problem is to get a wireless mouse. But there are a number of disadvantages according to many gamers. While being cordless is fun, the weight of most wireless mouse is a turn-off. There are only few game-ready wireless mouse out there and they are all expensive. Not to forget, some said that their performance is not as good as their wired siblings.

Please give a warm welcome to the Mouse Bungee then, said to deliver wireless feeling to your mouse without…you know, spending a fortune for a wireless gaming mouse.

    The Item

Mouse Bungee V2 is made of two parallel springs attached 45 degree on a weighted base. Most of the components were made from hard and sturdy plastic.

    Installation

Installation is easy…to be frank; you don't even need to read the given manual! Just put your mouse cord in the cord holder and off you go! It only takes you less than few minutes to get you going.

    The Test

I used two different gaming mouse, namely Gigabyte GM-R04 and Logitech G5 to test out the product. Both of them have different cord diameter, so we can see if it got any effect on Mouse Bungee V2 performance or not.

    The Opinion

There's nothing extra-ordinary about Mouse Bungee V2 except that it does the job very-very-very well. When used properly, you can sense that your mouse now have lesser drag force since your cord now is not on the ground. The weighted base made it very stable even when the spring moves up and down furiously.

The only complaint I got that if your mouse have a smaller cord diameter, you would found your cord jumping out from the Bungee frequently. If you are using high end gaming mouse, you shouldn't have any problem then as their cords usually have larger diameter compared to normal mouse.

How about the price? Hmmm…for $ 20.00 a pop, I got to admit that at first, I'm quite skeptical about it. After all, it looks like a paper weight in the shape of a missile launcher. But when I use it, it works like a charm and that's the only thing that matters.

    The Verdict

This is a must-have tool if you are one of the gamers that always got stuck with tangled cables. Mouse Bungee V2 works flawlessly given that, your mouse's cord diameter is big enough for the holder to hold. It is worthy to note that many local and international Counter Strike veterans have Mouse Bungee on their side whenever they go for battle. This further prove that Mouse Bungee is an accessory that all of you shooter heads should get.

    Pro:

    • * Simple to use.
    • * Sturdy and secure.
    • * It works!

    Cons:

    • * Smaller mouse cord might jump out of place during fast movements.
    • * Need some space on your desktop/mousepad/table.
    • * You would think it as another expensive useless equipment until you actually used it.

    Preview: http://www.gamespot.com/features/6186345/index.html

Could we trust what the preview above said that ATi 3870 is losing to GeForce 9600? The answer is no.
From what the news blowing since the launch of GeForce 9600, most of the user believes the fact provided by the preview without having someone to proof the news is true.

From the result of FutureMark it shown that ATi 3870 is slightly winning compare to the GeForce 9600. Could I say GameSpot is too bias to Nvdia?

Since one of my friends has tested both GeForce 9600 and ATi 3870 in standard resolution 1680 x 1050 with Call of Duty 4: Modern Welfare proof that ATi 3870 is running smoother than GeForce 9600. How to let the users believe that GeForce 9600 is better??

Grand Theft Auto is one today's most popular computer games. In the game, player advance through the mafia by conveying secret packages, following alleged snitches, and planting car bombs. Since its release, shoppers have bought millions copies of Grand Theft Auto. Purchasers praise the game's vivid graphics, edgy characters and wide range of allowable behaviors. Recently, the game was found to contain hidden adult accessible by using a special code (hot coffee). Some parents and politician condemn the game's explicit violence and the rewards it give to player participating in illegal acts. They fear that games like GTA eventually could lead to antisocial or criminal behavior. Even worse, critics fear that game's popularity may influence future developers or computer games aimed at younger children. Despite the fears, research has shown that playing violent crime has decrease by 50% in America. Some researchers and parent note the positive aspects of gaming, such as increase dexterity for players, use of critical thinking skills to solve the problems in games, meeting goals, and following rules. What impact, if any, do violent computer games or games that include unacceptable acts have on individual behavior? On balance, is computer gaming good or bad for people? Why? What other motivations might parents have who limit their children's computer gaming?

Bandai had finally fulfilled one of Ghost in the Shell's hardcore fan dreams: recently they had released the official Tachikoma robot that we are able to interact with just a USB cable and a PC! Coined with the name of Bandai Tachikoma Electronic Robot, this kawaii lil' AI roller tankette is a darling must-have that is now sold widely on the Internet! It first debuted at last year's 47th All-Japanese Model Hobby Show (13-14 October 2007) and now it had began sales since last month on the price of 13,440 Yen!

Basically what you need to do is just install the software on your PC, plug in the Tachi to the USB port, and and you can start having fun with it! You are able to play mini games with the Tachi, it can act as a speaker, and also you can set it up to alert you whenever you received an email! Watch it go crazy with its eye movements and blinking lights, you'll definitely love hearing its voice (provided by Sakiko Tamagawa of GITS: S.A.C.)! Take note though that the software requires a Japanese OS, or at least an English OS with Japanese support ^__^

Take note however, that owners are not able to control any movements of the Tachi @ it does not move except for the eyes. Wished Bandai could've made it to be like Tomotaka Takahashi's Tachikoma (video below), where we get to see the movements and voice altogether! Maybe next model series I hope.

It was as awesome as ever! Figurines, rare items, animes, mangas, cosplay, famous celebrities.. oh the excitement never cease to amaze visitors years after years! It was another success for Wonder Festival 2008 (Winter Wonfes), which was held last week (24th February 2008) at the Tokyo Big Sight, Odaiba Island! Even though it opens from 10am till 5pm, hardcore fans are already lining up from the wee morning to get a chance to buy the limited items sold exclusively for Wonfes event ^__^

Though the entrance ticket may be slightly expensive (2000 yen), it was indeed worth it, for the amount of items to be bought inside the event! On a personal note, aside from the usual fan-made figurines on one of the big halls, Wonfes Winter 2008 was practically dominated by Revoltech, Figma and Nendoroids on the other half of the location.
