1Oct 09mother F U C K the $hitbox turd. That is all. 50% failure rate from the morons who brought you Vista, even though they dropped the price down to below Wii levels, no one is buying junkware. Now that the PS3 is almost as cheap a Wii.. yeah, PS3 to overthrow M$ in 2010. The pussWii is next. About time Sony made a move to regain their rightful crown of the console generation.

6Apr 09A service that could the future of all video gaming. While it sounds and looks great on paper, I highly doubt that it will succeed in real life. I'm sure that the videos of it's service that we saw were all very real and could be practical (as it was possible to even show this tech) as only maybe 20 people at most were connected to the server which was located on site. Think about it for a second. This service is basically STREAMING audio/video and has a low bandwidth (quick) controller settings. Controller settings that are questionably as good or BETTER than the controller that is hooked up to your system (be it computer or console). We are talking about a game service that has to constantly stream video and will also have basically a "zero ping" (if you will) on your controller. The server that is actually running the games could be hundreds of miles away (and several router jumps in between) yet the response time of the controllers rivals the response time as if it were hooked up to the direct server? Bullocks I say. While I don't deny that this actually COULD work, however once the service starts to get popular and more and more people sign up and sign on the service will become bogged down. It's one thing to setup a dedicated server to a game as all the graphical processing happens ON YOUR COMPUTER. You know, the box in front of you, not more than maybe 5 feet away? However with certain cities and broadband companies upgrading to fiber optics this service might be viable in the distant future. A similar service of this you can already use on your computer and have been able to for quite a while now. It's called remote desktop. You access a computer from another location and while it's usually used to monitor what's going on the host computer, you can take control of it using the computer you are on. Like I said, it's not that this service doesn't exist, but to make it the 'console/pc gaming' killer of tomorrow is not going to happen. Too much upgrading of current infrastructure needs to happen not to mention the costs of servers and maintenance. You'd need some major backing with really deep pockets that don't care about any return of investment. Even if proverbial Mr Moneybags were to step up and empty his bank accounts into this project, in order to offset the cost of all this, the monthly fees for signing up for said service would have to start at around $100 a month.

10Feb 09A sure sign that the economy is in dire straights is when even the illegals don't want to come over and some are actually moving BACK:
http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/02/10/immigrants.economy/index.html
You know the economy is bad when the whores at the bunny ranch need to intice customers with gas cards. I mean seriously. If a whore needs to give YOU a perk for doing things that I cannot say then you know something is very, very wrong. Now the illegals don't want to put up with our stuff? Says alot about our country when people from places that we describe as pretty much desolate dessicated $hithole are moving back to the rocks they crawled from under. Yay for republicans.- Posted Feb 10, 2009 9:07 am PT

23Jan 09With the all the cuts happening and namely fanboys screaming that they'd wish x company would bow out of the console race, some people say that if something were to happen to x company then that would be bad for the industry. In terms of the crapbox and M$ I disagree. Nothing would warm my heart more than hearing that they are exiting the console market. "But that would be bad" I disagree. See the way things were in the past is you had 1 really strong console, and a few other pieces of garbage floating around. All the good games that I really wanted to play were on the really good console and the rest of the garbage had trash for games. For the past 2 generations this console has been Sony. Preteendo continues (even now) to produce baby games ... I'm sorry.. I mean casual games. Now with the crapbox personally sucking off japanese execs to secure Sony staple games, the good games are split (not evenly I might add) between the 360 and PS3. I just want M$ to die so that way I can continue to enjoy the excellence that is PS games and the Nintendo users can continue to play games fit for a person who balls haven't dropped yet. Ah.. only if. Maybe next gen M$ will stfu and go diaf.

10Jan 09So after almost 10 years of playing MMOs I am finally done with them. Started way back playing DaoC as my first, went for a brief stint on SWG and planetside. Played Lineage 2 for a few months before I could take the grindage no more and left for guildwars. Beta tested a few (most of NCsoft games) and even tried D&D online.. but didn't get past beta. 3 years ago my brother got me hooked into wow. After I got my BE rogue to 70 I got about sick of the grinding. Rep grinding, money grinding, kara ftl grinding. BT sucks. Tried Warhammer online... but quit after 3 months. So I decided to play DaoC again for the last little bit before I give up MMOs forever. MMOs are a bit too much of a time sink. Being I was born a console gamer, to spend more than 6 months on 1 character and not be at the absolute top of your game is unacceptable. Not quite HC nor casual I classify myself as in the middle. I know that the world revolves around money and most companies are quick to suck on benjamin franklins cock but I don't have the patience to spend months at time grinding to get a character to the top. After a year I'd like to have .. I dunno.. maybe like 4 or 6 characters maxed out, but in some games even getting one character up to max could take years (lineage 2). So yeah.. I'm done with MMOs. Not my bag and doesn't float my boat.

5Dec 08I personally don't buy a system for the system. I buy a system for the games. During the past... well all console generations this is what I've gone by. This is what killed M$ last gen was because Sony had all the exclusives (as it should be). However this gen it's become quite apparent that M$ is getting on it's knees to suck dyck and plead with money to secure content for it's crapbox system. With the splash for the next MGS game being the color green, everyone thinks it's a MGS for the crapbox. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. If it is, then it just proves my theory: M$ suckled on Kojima's penis swallowed his load and paid him for it. If most crapbox games went from exclusive to mutli like many Sony Staple games have (core FF, tekken, ace combat) then it would make sense that the devs are waiting to secure assets. But since it's not it's clear M$ is pull dirty knee favors. My only 'ugh' for Sony is they don't shell out cash for exclusives.

29Nov 08I'll put my bias aside and talk about the controllers over the years. Can't really complain about Sony controllers because they are probably the perfect controller ever created. A sort of super, super nes controller which was more comfortable and more buttons. I would have to say the dreamcast controller was by far the worst of the bunch. Big, ugly and after only a few hours of playing would feel like you were about to get carpal tunnel syndrome. The original xbox controller (before the type S) is next in line. Big, stupid, ugly and to make sure you were aware you bought a piece of crap, had a equally big and ugly looking X circular symbol on the front. No pain while playing though which makes it a small step up from the DC controller. The N64 klingon controller was pretty bad. Just freakin stupid in design and functionality. A real slap in the face since it came off of the 2nd greatest controller ever created (SNES in case you aren't following). The kiddy cube controller was more the norm in terms of controller layout, however it was still pretty stupid looking with the buttons and sticks in weird places. The 360 controller is much better than the previous lots, but because it's for the crapbox, means that the controller is still crap. The wii's masturbation jerkoff TV destroying once again shows the 'inovation' from the same company that brought us the virtual boy. I can only praise sony for not using those boomerang controller concepts they had before and kept to the best design.

28Nov 08Even after 2 years I still crack up at all the people who cry and cry about how (insert title of non mario/metroid/zelda) is on the system but they want more games in the same calibur of say RE4. You all must have just joined in console gaming this year. Preteendo hasn't had a decent library of games since the SNES days. Kiddy Cube and the Pusswii might have a couple of good games here and there, but it's still pretty much the same thing as before and will remain the same. I think it's hilarious that even Nintendo is going "where's the beef?" The beef has left your pre-pubescent system long, long ago and it's quite apparent that you only cater those who's balls haven't dropped.. I mean 'casual' gamers. Still, can't rag too hard on N since they are beating the hell out of the crapbox afterall (and that's all I really care about). Still though, they aren't the Playstation 1 or 2 and they will never be. The higest selling Nintendo system was the SNES with around 80 million systems sold, whereas the PS1 was at 100 million and the PS2 is at 150 million. If you add up all the 3 Sony systems vs the 6 Nintendo system, Sony has Nintendo beat by a good 40 - 50 million systems.
Don't recall the exact number, but see for yourself and bust out your calculator over at wikipedia and search for console generation.- Posted Nov 28, 2008 4:55 pm PT

28Nov 08So as time passes it's become quite apparent at what the strategy of the crapbox is: pass out cash and blowjobs to secure content for their system. Fact. You think SE seriously approached M$ to get their aid on selling a game on a system that's all but non-existent in Japan? You keep hearing about how M$ keeps shoveling out cash to secure content here, or make games that were once Sony only to be multi-plat or timed exclusives. Sure DMC sold well on both systems, but it would have sold at least 80% of what it did just on the PS3. Same thing goes for GTA, and pretty much all the other games. Same thing could be said of maybe the 360 non-FPS games. I can only hope that FF13 tanks on the crapbox and finally SE will smarten up. The reason why the PS3 hardly has any JRPGs is because M$ was busy suckin dick, whereas Sony doesn't. They said something along the lines of they don't because it makes more sense to dump that money into first class ingame studios to crank out games.
Can't be helped and can't really blame the companies for wanting more money and with M$ walking up with a bag of money and a lubed up facehole, who can resist? I still say that once the PS3 pushes past the total 360 sales numbers, within that month or two afterward they'll make an annoucement of the 720 (or whatever the next gimpsystem is going to be called). In the mean time I'll try not to be jealous of the bukkakke fest going on in the crapbox camp and will just let you xbots know to swallow or it's going in your eye.- Posted Nov 28, 2008 4:43 pm PT

26Jul 08Looking at at the last gen in terms of game sales for the PS2, crapbox and kiddy cube and it's little surprise at the sales spread of last gen. Million seller games are good, 3 million is a milestone, 5million+ is just gold. Basically looking at games that sold 4 million+ as being Silver, 5 million+ as being gold and 10 million+ as platinum I've come across the following: Crapbox only had 2 gold games (no silver no plat) and both of those being Halo 1 and 2. The games had a wide gap as in Halo 1 sold 6.43 million and the next lowest was Splintercell with 2.93 million. Kiddy cube unsurprisingly had 4 titles (3 gold 1 Silver) all of which were from the house of Nintendo with their capital franchises (mario, zelda, metroid, pokemon). So in order was Mario Kart DD, SSBM, Mario Sunshine and Zelda's Windwalker. PS2 had 22 games total (4 Plat, 8 gold and 10 silver). GTA SA, Gran Turismo 3, GTA VC, GTA 3, Gran Turismo 4, Final Fantasy X... Being that now not a whole lot of games are out for the new gen consoles, but for the PS2 at least that was a list of games about 10 years in the making. Quite impressive. As it stands now, crapbox 360 has 4 silver +, Kiddy Cube 1.5 has 6 (not including fit, sports or play), and the PS3 has just 1 (GTA 4). The next couple of years should be interesting in both console and game sales #s.

15Jul 08Well, the highlight or shadowing in my eyes anyways was the announcement that the crapbox would be getting FF13. Yes in the past the FF series went from the Nintendo systems onto the Playstation systems, however that was because the N64 was inferior to the PS. Plus the fact that the N64 didn't have any JRPGS. Quest 64 doesn't count. I still feel angry that Sony has once again lost a exclusive for whatever reason and until they announce a exclusive FF7 remake for the PS3 ... no even then I still might not fully forgive both Sony and SE. It upsets me because like I've said in previous blogs that the crapbox is not the system to have JRPGs on and the demographics and game sales show this without a doubt. Lost Odyseey, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata combine probably won't break a million in sales in their lifetime on the 360.. whereas FF12 which was given some tough love by critics still sold very well. I have no doubt that FF13 PS3 will outsell the 360 version by at least a 5:1 ratio, but I'm still distraught over the loss. Sure it's not as bad as saying the game is exclusive to the 360, but it's still a loss in my eyes. My faith in Sony has been strained and questioned in the past, but now it's all but destroyed. Maybe it's a sign of the times: money rules all (because I'm damn sure SE didn't just one day decide that releasing a JRPG on a system that had horrible JRPG sales would be a good idea one day. Pretty sure that M$ approached SE and not the other way around).

9Jul 08Apparently the abysmal sales for LO and BD didn't knock enough smarts into Square Enix. Hopefully with the financial failures of the upcoming lineup for the crapbox SE will smarten up. The turdbox is for users too stupid or too poor to build their own PC rig for superior FPS gaming. Keyboard + mouse > mongoloid controller. Not saying the Wii should get those titles either because pre-teendo users already have harvest moon and pokemon kiddy farm. So here's hoping SE will stop wasting time on the crapbox and letting exclusive series fall into obscurity. At least Atlus and NIS haven't lost their minds yet, they know it's stupid to release RPGs on a system that caters to FPS and sport game fans. Almost time for the 360 to fall into 3rd place in this console war.

19Jun 08Adding to my reason for disdain for the nintendo systems is it's games, or lack of mature themed games. NES and SNES had a wide range of games, but even back in those days the games were... censored. Step in the N64, the kiddy cube and now the wii (the kiddy cube 1.5) and it's all the same. People use the words 'casual gamer' when talking about the wii's main demographics I see "kiddy/family" gamers. Think of all the games out on the other systems, and think of the nintendo systems. Maybe like 5% of those games are ones that I would play as a older gamer. Let me see here, Mario Galaxy or Grand Theft Auto 4. Final Fantasy/Obivion/Mass effect or zelda. Hmmm.. which one is better? Oh yeah, the ones where I don't feel like I'm 13 again while playing them. Sure metroid, zelda and mario kart wii are good games, but even though you might be over 16, your balls haven't dropped and you can talk to me when your older, actually had intercourse with the opposite sex and moved out of your parents house. "it's a shame you don't play, those games are awesom" it's a shame that your balls have recinded back into your groin. Don't get me wrong though, I don't like Nintendo but I can appreciate what they do to gaffle the money, and I still hate the crapbox more.

18Jun 08aside from all the xbots who celebrates M$ mediocre success (phailed against the PS2 and now phailed against the Wii, but at least you got Halolz), what really irriates me the most is seeing the crapbox get exclusive games. Pretty much the only games that I really would love to be on the PS3 would be DOA and the JRPGs that are exclusive to the crapbox 360. Hopefully those games will fail as hard as LO and BD and M$ will finally get the hint that they should just stick to FPS and sports games for the college frat boys. The next star ocean is 360 exclusive.. but hopefully all this will change with poor sales. Let me explain it to you as simply as I could: This is the same thing with PC vs Mac. true gamers use PCs, always have and always will. People who use macs also enjoy sitting in starbucks listing to that horrible music and love the white stripes. For years macs got sloppy seconds when it comes to games (as much as the users are probably used to sloppy seconds IRL) but now imagine that instead of Diablo 3, or Starcraft 2, or whatever game really gets you going being released on the platform that supports 99% of all games, instead it's MAC only. "LOLz but I own a mac!" well shouldn't you be busy sucking on something then? Same way I feel when I read about how Star Ocean or how DOA became crapbox only. That's why I take great pleasure in seeing the system fail. Won't be long before they are once again 3rd place in the console war. But hey, xbots just might get the 720 in 2012

18Jun 08While I love nothing more than to bash the crapbox and it's "wmg live is legendary" BS, this is one aspect that all xbots hail as the best feature whereas I saw it firsthand differently. There was a vgcats comic about the online of all 3 systems and I think the one about the crapbox hits it dead on center. "My dick hat has 10,000.. oh yeah?! Mine has 20,000 points!!" It's sooo true. Much like how xbots love achievements they also love their points. As if to give their sad and pathetic existence meaning while playing a sad and pathetic junk system from a ripoff vendor. Let me tell you about XBL. Sure you go head to head against other people. Watching my old roomie playing games such as halos, DOA, mortal kombat.. yes it was all fun and games.. until you run across the xbots who'll do anything to up their ranking. Constant disconnects, performing cheap moves or outright cheating (lag hax), yep the XBL is the greatest thing. My favorite thing is he would play and go against someone who'd mop the floor with him due to cheap moves, and right before he actually would win a game "connection lost" Yep XBL is so great. This happens in all online games, but since xbots and M$ celebrate it you all can go DIAF.

18Jun 08With gas prices rising to either meet or surpass minimum wage, the natural gas bill going up, milk, bread, cheese and meats going way up in prices, the choice is simple for non-gamers. The few reasons why the PS2 is the console king was because of a wide demographic of games that everyone could get into and the price. You can see at vgcharts the surge in system sales with every price drop that the system had since it's inception. With the HD next gen system starting at over $400 for a core system, then you get to add on another $60+ for a game, $40+ for a controller, the price can add up quickly. For the price of a next gen system you can buy the wii standalone or with a game, buy a couple more games, another controller and still have enough money. The economics are simple. That's what's driving the wii now is the price point. The games are the same and they might have snagged up a couple more million gamers, there's nothing new with the wii. Mario, Zelda and Metroid are still the only major selling games. I do give Nintendo props for that. They got everyone buying oldgen instead of nextgen. We'll see how the kiddy cube 1.5 stands against the PS2 though. Time will tell.

11Jun 08The good old days of Nintendo. Back in the day, playing my zelda, final fantasy, dragon warrior, mario games, metroid. Ah yes. Super Nintendo rocked out with even bigger and better looking titles. Then came the monumental disappointment that was the N64. Grant it the system did have a few games that were very good, however after failure and disappointment with the N64, that's about the time that I called it quits for Nintendo. The best way that I can put it is I grew out of the kiddy twinks that is nintendo. Back in the day I read about the Ultra Nintendo and how they were finally going to have a CD addon like the Genesis, however the CD addon fell through and instead of Ultra Nintendo, we got the N64. The 3d graphics were nice, however there are only under 5 games really worth owning on that system. Plus the disappointment of Killer Instinct being a travesty and DKC being a joke I switched to the Playstation. The gamecube did have potential, however instead of getting a badass looking zelda game (the old screen shot of zelda fighting gannon) we got a cell shaded pre-teen cartoon kiddy twink game. It's the same now, pre-teendo is still doing what it does best - rehashes from it's only blockbuster franchises (mario, zelda, metroid) and more kiddy twinks. The wii is doing good and while I'm happy because it's outselling the 360, it's still not good enough for me to ever come back. Then again of course the wii is selling, costs less to produce for the system and the system itself is the kiddy cube 1.5, except now we have a masturbation controller. Yay. Hmm, which game assures me that my balls have dropped? Mario Galaxy or COD4?

11Jun 08Started on the Tandy Colorcomputer 2, to Atari 2600 then 7800. My first games for my NES were Zelda and Final Fantasy with Dragon Warrior soon afterward. Owned almost all Square games on my SNES (even FF Mystic Quest to my dismay). Had the N64 for a little bit (Golden eye/Perfect Dark and of course Zelda OOT). Bought a Playstation for Final Fantasy 7, followed the PS2 and PS3. A huge library of games later (aside from the ones that I lost/gave/sold away) and about 25 years have passed. Through friends and roommates I've played on about all the systems out there (not the CDi.. but yes on the 3DO and Jaguar). My forte is with RPGs. I also love FPSs (currently rockin COD4s new maps). I did own a GBA, but lost it and never ended up buying a DS, but do have a PSP. I became a Sony fanboy because of the games, and with the exception of the PS3 (it took a while for the PS2 to even build up a decent RPG library), the PS family has always been home.
