    R.I.P. TechTv

Ah, I remember the good old days of TechTV. Leo and Kat graced our tubes to tell as about the newest gismo or to help as finger out how to shut up that stupid talking paperclip on XP. Then I noticed that Leo left. Followed by our beloved Kat. Something was up! Not long after that, I noticed that the logo (followed by TV ads) changed to include a G4. Well, at first I thought nothing of it. As long as I still had my Cinematech, X-Play, Call For Help, and Icons. Unfortunately, those would fall under a bad spell. Call For Help disappeared, and it was soon replaced by some show I've already seen. The Man Show. Now, I do like The Man Show, back when it first came on and was repeated on Comedy Central. Then others shows started to come in as well. The Fastlane, Filter, Cheat, and The Arena. Filter was okay but pointless. Cheat was(is) hosted by someone who you can tell doesn't play games. And the cheats are 'asked by viewers from the net'. Um, I don't buy it. Simply because if someone went through the trouble to go to your site and send an e-mail about a game, that some person could go to another (better) site and get the info they need there on the spot. As for The Arena, I don't care to watch a group of casual gamers with NO team skills play other casual gamers that are more of the same. Now as for FastLane, well, it just sucks. Then they soon started to play old shows that I've already seen, like Star Trek and Arrest Devolpment. Um, I've already seen these a dosen times and again, have NOTHING to do with games.
But for the shows that they hung-on to, they are slowing starting to turn too into something not so good either. Cinematech is slowly turning into a perverted form of itself. Icons (Which I loved.) is starting to showcase poeple that have NOTHING to do with the industary. Then sadly that leads me to X-Play. I watched that show everyday and agreed (for the most part) with their reviews. They focused more on games then. Now though, they seem to spend too much time joking around about todays' culture and stupid skits. Some are kindof funny, and I love Bob and Steve, but please keep it all in small doses poeple. Also, I've noticed that it seems to me that Adam and Morgan are starting to get a little snobbish.
Well, it's getting late and time for bed. I've already said my goodbyes to TechTV and am now saying 'Goodbye' to the station that it has become: G4TV. But I guess some good has come with the change. I've now moved on to something else; the net! Gamespot, Gamefaqs, and Gamevideos And I think I like it more here. Rest In Peace TechTV. At least we had fun...
