More Wii News
Well I've been playing the Wii like everyone else for quite some time now and I'm especially satisfied with it still. I'm sad though that SSBB's online won't work very well with anyone for me. But I've been keeping well up to date on everything you can download but I've still haven't downloaded anymore virtual console while they still look awesome. I've also loved the way WiiWare is looking right now and I'd really like to buy Defend Your Castle. I'm planning on buying Animal Crossing when it comes out since 1. I've never played it 2. it looks awesome 3. it looks awesomer. But I've been very pleased with my Wii but far from satisfied. Reggie Fisame ladies and gentle men. So I hope all that Nintendo has annouced will do real well. Also. Please help me decide if I should buy a DS or more Wii games and stuff.- Posted Jul 15, 2008 8:52 pm PT

Wii Opera Browser Trial
I downloaded the Wii Opera Browser a long time ago and I've been secretly doing most of my things on the Wii. Forum posts, PMs, and others sorts of things may have been done on the Wii. Since this is only the trial I am expecting a bit more updated things (I'll explain later).
The Wii Opera Browser I'm sure was expected to be something like the insanely slow PSP. But no. The Wii Opera Browser seriously takes advantage of your internet speed and capabilities to make a nice addition to the Wii. I've seen mostly good but some bad that would be nice for the final version. The Browser handles pretty much every site that you can think of just how it should. There was a strange ordeal with Gamespot were when the front page news thing (where 5 news stories are listed) was done the page immediately refreshed to start the cycle over again. This makes it difficult to sign in the first time but if you don't log off on the Wii then you'll have no trouble afterwards since you'll be able to immediately go to where you need to instead of having to try to beat the news thing while typing your email address and password. Now Youtube works perfectly, no problems, nothing buggy, and you can seem to even load videos faster than on your computer (well my computer isn't all that great but still does everything fine). And a nice thing that everybodies done is that they've looked for games that can be loaded on the Wii and are fun to play with the Wiimote. This is quite fun playing on these sites and I think it's a nice idea. The biggest problem I had though is that when I needed to look at things like GameSpot videos or videos loaded from a computer media player, I had trouble since the Opera Browser had no media player of it's own. And for you big flash fans, I also had trouble loading flash movies that had a higher flash player version. But overall this makes a nice addition for the Wii, could be worked on a bit for the final version, but it's nice.

Virtual Console and Wii Progress
I've been having some fun with the virtual console after I bought three games I recommend, Legend of Zelda, Gunstar Heroes, and Super (note Super not regular Mario Bros.) Mario Bros. These games are quite a bit of fun and will certainly bring back memories of the NES and Genesis times. And here is a big tip for those wanting to beat games that are long but you can't save. To save your Virtual Console progress on the Wii you first need to not turn off the console immediately just go the the Wii menu through the Home button. Then when you come back to that game you will be right were you left off (imagine that really your just pausing the game and then coming back and unpausing) It evens works after you've turned off the Wii you still can come back and play where you left off.
Now about my Wii game progress. I have 5 games so far 2 that are reviewed. Red Steel, Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, Far Cry, and Elebits. Zelda I've played for 13 hours but still are more at the beggining than at the middle. Far Cry looked great at the beggining but starts to tip off an edge and loses most of its fun (but still I like it). And Elebits is great and addictive and I recommended to anyone who owns a Wii. The game is, to me, the Wii's Dead Rising. It's the most unique, most intuitive, and most enjoyable Wii game out there. I'll be writing the review for Elebits after I beat the main story.
Well see ya and have a great new year!
