FPS Mania!
As the title suggest, I have been enjoying a variety of First Person Shooter games lately. One is a classic game on the Gamecube which is Metroid Prime providing a deep story and detailed environments. I wish I had played this triology a lot sooner because it is a series to be played by any Nintendo fan. As I play Metroid Prime, I decided to hunt down Metroid Prime 2: Echoes to play as well. I got to tell you when you look for a game you want it takes patience. I have been looking for this game since the summer started in June. Luckily, my sister knew my state of search which she found in Pensacola which she was on vacation. The game was a perfect in near mint condition and manuel. As for the current gen, I picked up a copy of a special edition of The Conduit from Gamestop. The game is great so far with great controls. The story is pretty typical with aliens and terrorists in the Washington DC area. However, the game has been reviewed ups and downs. Yet, i am going to enjoy the game. This is a big step for FPS on the Wii with great controls and great on line. The online is great with lots of modes and no lag. Lets just say I got my butt kicked online.
I just hope that High Voltage follows up the series in a way or other developers will follow their footsteps.
As for the rest of my summer, it has been quiet. I have done a few things here and there but nothing to exciting. Yet, I do have race tickets again for my Birthday for the Coke Zero 400 race at Daytona International Speedway. This is a great race with fireworks and fast racing under the lights.
Also, I have been working on my collection to complete games. I have finished 4 games out of who knows how many. I just hope to double that number before school. That's it for me. How is your summer going? Game On!- Posted Jun 28, 2009 12:31 pm PT

Zelda Wii Concept Art!
I came across a blog from a user and friend here on Gamespot masterofthedark. He had two link that showed concept art of the new Zelda for Wii in 2010. The pictures sport Link with unknown character and Twilight Princess style design. However, the pictures do NOT show the tradtional Master Sword in hand. Is the answer to a new non-tradtional Zelda? I have supllied the links below and both links are credible coming from IGN.com. The pictures are too large to post in the blog. This E3 of 2009 has been awesome from all companies too

Game Remakes. Yea or Nah?
Lots of going on these recent weeks in the gaming world with E3 knocking on our doorstep. Lets not forget the recent rumors of MGS 5 or Oxide, PS3 Slim, and 360 motion controller. What weeks it has been lately.
For now, there is something that I have noticed in the recent months in the gaming market. I noticed that consoles (espically Nintendo) has had a far share of game remakes. Games like Punch Out!!! (looks fun BTW), Metroid Prime Trilogy Pack, Chrono Trigger, New Control Play series like Pikmin and Donkey Kong, and more. I wonder if these remakes are hurting the market by buying games that are being reproduced to consumers with added features of controls and game modes. I have to admit that I am guilty of buying remakes like Okami, Chrono Trigger, and probably Punch Out!!! in the near future. The question I ask is: Should be we as gamers and developers be putting so much focus and time into remakes? The remakes allow people to play past games that people missed. Yet, we are possibly missing out on sequels or new IPs for systems. My idea is that we can enjoy remakes, but limit them that they do not mask or interfere with the current generation. What are your thoughts?
Other than that gaming insight, E3 is the next stop for me and just work on my games. As always Game On!- Posted May 29, 2009 5:36 pm PT
