    Goodbye, GameSpot.

I've just come online to check a few things, since I haven't been on this week, and I've just figured out that Ryan Davis- one of the only staff members left on the site that I recognize- is leaving GameSpot. Having said that, this only purely strengthens my last points in my previous blog.

So I've decided I'm leaving the site. Maybe for good, maybe not for good. I'm not sure. I'll try to log in once a week to check my messages, but don't expect me to be active at all. If any of you are wondering why I'm leaving, please read my last blog. Thanks to all who helped try make my stay at this site special; you are all truly wonderful and best wishes to all of you. You all helped me accomplish many achievements on the site (read my blog post 2 blogs ago) and I've made many new friends over GameSpot. You can contact me through a PM if you'd like my Windows Live Messenger address.

I don't think this is a final goodbye because I may return in the far future. But this is a farewell for now.

    Thinking about leaving GameSpot forever.

I don't know what it is, but this site no longer feels like the place it once was. I am seriously thinking about leaving this site for real, and not ever returning back. There are a few reasons for this.

Firstly, the site is plagued with glitches. Glitches are normal, and for a site to have them is bearable; however, GameSpot is completely filled with them, and it's gotten to the point in which you can't post a simple forum post or blog post. Sometimes, I can't even view a webpage because of them.

Secondly, the quality of forum posts has nosedived to below anything I have ever witnessed before. The forum is not even a place to post when you need entertainment or need information of any sort; but rather, it is a place of arguing, fighting, and pointless arguements. System Wars is, perhaps, the worst forum I have ever been to in my life. It is full of ignorance, 10-year-olds, and stupid fighting. Offtopic Discussion is now about the same topics over and over again, which means seeing 4-5 religious Theism vs. Atheism topics every time you look at the page. Welcome Newbies has been wrecked by newbies who can't even take the time to read a simple sticky to answer their question. The only decent forum that's still around is the General Games Discussion forum.

In addition, the administrators and moderators of the site are sometimes biased, unfair, or they just don't post on the forums at all. This isn't to say that all admins and mods are "bad"; in fact, I'm friends with a few, but there are a good bunch out there who don't seem like they care for the community anymore. They don't even post on regular forums to let us know that they're alive; they ignore regular users' blog posts, friend requests, and private messages; some have even given up fixing glitches and coding emblems (I'm looking at you, VinceL) because they are now "too busy."

Furthermore, almost all of the great administrators of the site are now not even around. Alex Navarro has quit; Carrie has quit; Greg Kasavin has quit; and, a stupid, stupid decision on CNET's part, Jeff was fired. This probably has direct and indirect impacts on my previous statement. From what I heard, GameSpot was even bought out by the owner of the Playboy Mansion or something. Do I really want to visit a site that has left behind ghosts of great people in the past and that is now owned by a person like the owner of the Playboy Mansion?

Likewise, some of the editors and reviewers at GameSpot are now failing at reviewing games. Not only do some of the greatest games now get bad ratings, but we can no longer trust an editor's judgement of the game due to money scandals that were revealed, such as the Kane & Lynch one, which led to CNET firing Jeff. Not only is this immoral, but it completely eradicates the the point of even coming to GameSpot.

Finally, most of my great friends on the site have already left to other places such as 1up and IGN and will never return. They have left for the same reasons as I, and this all returns to my first statement in which I said that "this place no longer feels like the place it once was." Friends are what built the GameSpot community, and the GameSpot community wouldn't be here today, had it not been for us. Every time I come to GameSpot, just to visit, I see that another person has left the site, leaving behind their memories and making me sad to think that I will never speak to them again.

For reasons like these, GameSpot has completely lost my respect, and I no longer find it worthwile to even visit here. There are probably a few more reasons that I can't think of at the moment, but I'm sure most of you are getting where I'm coming from. I'll try to make my decision in the upcoming days. If you want me to stay, give me some good reasons why I should; otherwise, I'm pretty sure I'll be gone forever.

Today marks my 2-year anniversary on GameSpot!

No, I didn't forget. Today is my two-year anniversary on GameSpot. It's not exactly as much as people would think, but it doesn't truly matter. I've actually been browsing GameFAQs and GameSpot years before I even registered; however, I only decided to register two years ago. I've accomplished so much on this site in the past two years that, looking back on it, I'm proud at what I've done. I've nabbed over 350 users tracking me; I've posted over 7,500 times; I've written over a dozen reviews and posted nearly two dozen videos; and most importantly, I've made many new friends. Thank you, GameSpot, and thank you, GameSpotters, for making my two years on this site worthwile and comfortable.

P.S. Please, no slugging over the Super Smash Bros. Brawl delay. Delays are a sign that a game is being further improved and made better. I'm sure most of you can wait a month for the game; I know I will be.

This is the most difficult Stepmania song ever. It's 65 songs being played at the same time. Nobody has ever passed this song, and most computers can't even handle the song without crashing. Even the AI can't beat the song without missing any notes!
