It's a conspiracy
Big headlines re: Uwe Boll right now.
Can someone tell me how this man keeps being allowed to make movies? For the rest of Hollywood a single failure can ruin a career and yet all his films are rubbish and studios keep allowing him to pick horrible scripts/actors and go waste their money on filth.
It's a conspiracy by the movie/big media industry to discredit and vilify gamers and the gaming community as no nothings who's opinion in the public entertainment arena doesn't matter!
They are threatened by the fact that the game industry is overtaking them and are trying to capitalize on things such as the Senate going after game ratings by attempting to show how bad/dumb/moronic games and gamers are in hopes that the non-gaming public will help to criple the gaming industry.
That or he's doing some studio exec....

Fanboys
"My video game console is better than your video game console."
No it is not...shut up. If you have ever used a phrase that even remotely sounds like the above vague and generalistic quote then you are an idiot and you need to stop talking.
"HAHAHAHA, fanboys are dumb."
No really, I'm not kidding stop talking to anyone about anything you rediculously self-dilited ignoramous. It is people like you who cause education to advance at a snail's pace compared to the real science that is out there. It is people like you that elect politicians based on popularity and not issue position. It is people like you who jump on bandwagon ideas that are so moronic that no rationally thinking person would ever accept them...yet somehow you and the majority of other idiots are on board.
For crying out loud people THINK!!!
Be willing to LISTEN to ideas that are different than your own.
RESEARCH or at least CONSIDER what you hear from "friends" and the media.
The media is a topic for a different conversation, but since you brought it up STOP EFFING LISTENING TO THE MEDIA they have every reason to lie to you, so quit it.

A 10...Really!?
This is not going to be a popular post. I'm about to talk about GTA IV and rag on it a bit and I believe that my thoughts are fully justified.
In my mind a game rated a 10 by gamespot should be an all time amazing game that has few if any flaws. I almost wonder if the gamespot editors that gave GTA IV a 10 even played the game because there is one almighty, magnificently abhorrent and terrible flaw with this game...it is so tremendously bad that it frequently causes me to want to throw my controller through the TV. This is an urge I have not had since back in the old platforming days where on small mis-step meant certain doom and beginning again from scratch.
What is this flaw I speak of? Eh? It is what should be the most fundamental part of any game...the control scheme. GTA IV's controls are awful ungodly awful; atrocious even. You have to fight the controller to get your camera/avatar to do what you want it to. I'm usually so frustrated by not being able to see or do what I need to that I mis-out on what should be a really enjoyable game. Crackdown didn't have this issue...that game played great...not that it was necessarily a really great game, but it shares similarities in style and manner of play and I NEVER felt like I couldn't get something done because the camera wouldn't cooperate. When driving the camera sits too low behind the car so you can't see unless you keep your right stick half-cocked and then it won't stop moving around which is terribly annoying when you are trying to precision drive. And speaking of precision driving, how come all the cars drive and skid around like you are doing 100 mph even if you are going slow...its ridiculous. That, however, is only a minor complaint because you can learn to handle the cars with practice. It's the camera and the over the shoulder controls of your character that drive me the most batty.
Additionally, I really did expect a level of evolution with this title, but it's the same old GTA. ALL the missions are either kill somebody, drive somewhere, get something and bring it back, steal a car or a combination of two or even all 3 of those things. They are the exact same missions as the original GTA with a story slapped around them. For me this has not been a terrible detractor, but then again I didn't play the last few titles...if I had I'd be bored with this game already and I've barely started the second Island.
Now for those who read this entire blog and aren't flaming me someplace already I'll say this. The game is fun...really fun, I like it I enjoy playing it when I'm not annoyed by control fighting. I'm just saying that something with such a glaring deficiency should not have received a perfect 10 score.
