Time|Shift

Release Date- US: October 30th EU: October 30th

Platform-PC, 360, PS3 (December 4th)

Developer- Saber Interactive

Previous Games-Will Rock

Publisher- Sierra Entertainment

Official Site- www.timeshiftgame.com

Demo- Old Demo with Meh Graphics yes on PC, New Demo with next gen graphics yes on 360.

Price- $50 and $60 respectively

Difference between platforms? No.

Genre- Time Altering First Person Shooter

What it's about-Two Suits. Alpha and Beta are made to "shift" time. After one falls into the wrong hangs you must use Beta Suit to stop the enemy who has Alpha all while altering time to your liking.

Enemies- Mercs/Corporate Baddies, Futuristic Mechs

Length- 15 to 20 hours (est.)

Options- Pause time, take the enemies weapon and kill him with it. Slow time to earn better headshots. Rewind time to stop from getting nailed by a huge mech, etc.

Why you should get this game- For the cool time shifting abilities that differentiate it from other FPSes.

Multiplayer-Interesting because everyone in the match gets timeshift powers. More details after release.

Rent or Buy? Rent.

The Big Picture- Timeshift tries to change up the FPS scene with new abilities in bullet time but I don't think it will succeed because it is a week away from COD4 and Halo 3 was just released. Saber has work on this since 2004 and the game has gone through many changes but there still may be a glint of hope for Timeshift...

Predicted Score-7.5

Update!

I beat Halo again and started on Halo 2 (which I've never beat) and my friend's Halo 2 disc is scratched so I guess I don't get to finish Halo 2...again. Oh well I'll pull an Alex Navarro and Wikipedia the story and start on Halo 3 soon.

In other news Demonoid is still down BUT the tracker is UP. That is good.
But there are rumors that the Admin, Founder, and God of Demonoid, Deimos (Annoymous Yugoslavian), got into a car crash on September 21st and died of head trauma in the local hospital on the morning of the 28th. Nothing has been confirmed but the rumor started when a "close friend of Deimos" posted and has continually updated the wikipedia page of demonoid.com, If so RIP Deimos If not...Get Demonoid up ASAP.

Until Next Time,

Sounds like an interesting concept for a game and one that i'll definately look out for, who knows i may even download the demo.

The multiplayer should be very interesting. The Timeshift games have never really caught my eye in the past though.

Not bad for a FPS game

I remember playing the original demo and it was a disappointment for me. The revamped game looks really good and I hope it's a good game because i've had it on pre-order at my usual online shop since 05.

Hopefully Saber have gotten better since their last game Will Rock, that game shipped with a bug on the second level that stopped you from finishing the level. They released a patch for it but it did nothing for their reputation.

Hmm, i tried the demo and i agree that it changes the typical FPS formula, but its still not my type of game....

Played the demo, it's intersting, but i'm worried, cause there's scripted events, which you can't chance, even though you're using the time...

I think this will be a hit, and that I will get a 8.5

Will Rock sucked, but every company's allowed at least one downfall, right? The game seems interesting, I hope it'll be one of, if not the, only upcoming game my PC will run.

I've seen plenty of videos of Timeshift and it really doesn't look like something I'll be buying, seeing as how there are so many other games coming out this year.
