19Mar 09With Spring break drawing nearer and nearer (March 30, w0ot), I guess you could say I'm sort of looking forward to the mini vacation. Working at 110% nonstop does take its toll on you after a while. I'm getting closer and closer to the point where if I have to bag one more grocery item, listen to one more lecture, or so much as think about another class assignment, I'll snap and lose all control. The book "The Shining" comes to mind...okay maybe not that extreme. I guess you could say I'm spent right about now, and I need a little relaxation.
In other news, I uploaded a random video on my youtube account. I usually just watch videos, but I figured I may as well go for it so I could say I made at least one. It's basically a mixed compilation of some songs I listen to (I listen to all genres). Here's the link if you want to check it out:

Lastly, I've been looking up the new DS model, and while I desperately need a replacement, I'm not sure whether I should buy the DSi or just pick up a DS Lite. Looking at the DSi pro-wise, the differences between the two are that the DSi has an internal camera, a DSi shop that allows you to download new games and applications with Nintendo points, and a built in audio player that has voice recorder and a music player of ACC audio. It's also smaller and more sleek. Con-wise, it isn't backward compatible with GBA games or accessories, the battery life has been reduced by roughly five to six hours, and its cost for North America is going to be $169.99 (I can get a DS Lite for $100), which isn't so bad when you have parents to pay for your games, but I...don't have that luxury. Sure, maybe there's some GBA games in the DSi shop, but what about the ones I already have? Nevertheless, I need a handheld since I don't have a single video game in my dorm (my Wii is at my folks' home), I just don't know which one to get. Thoughts?

19Jan 09At last, the Spring semester is finally coming around, starting on the 26th. I've enjoyed these six or so weeks of break, but it's about time to put in work and effort, so I can get a jump start on my career ASAP.
Of course, I haven't spent much time on GS during my break, to be honest, I've been all over the place. As much as I stress "Business before Pleasure" I'll admit it is dull sitting in a small desk in a cramped classroom with over 200 kids, five times a week, only to end the weekday with hours of studying into the night......and I'll have to balance a different job with a five class schedule......
............
...I'm losing my enthusiasm to return...moving right along...
As you can probably imagine, I'm none too happy about my team NOT getting into the Super Bowl, but we'll get there next year, if only our QB shows up to play like a Pro Baller, and not a High school athlete...Nevertheless, I will tune into the matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals. My money's (literally) on the Steelers. They used to be my favorite AFC team (Kansas City Chiefs are first).
Lastly, my Nintendo DS has finally kicked the bucket. I was about to run and buy Luminous Arc 2 when I saw my top screen was cracked. Kind of killed my mood for that day too, though I was wondering when all of those times I dropped it were going to come back to haunt me. I had the oldest model; I bought it when it first came out. It sucks, but I guess I'll wait for the new DS model...yippee...- Posted Jan 19, 2009 4:04 pm PT

18Nov 08I'm sure that most of you already know about this project currently under develop, but a group of guys have been changing skins for Brawl while enabling people to play them. I uploaded a few images to show what types of skins have already been created, but those are mainly my favorite skins they created. You can check out the site for yourself at:

13Nov 08(Quick Note) Lemme just say I am a diehard Minnesota Vikings Fan, since the dynamic Cris Carter/Randy Moss Duo, despite the four lost Super Bowl trips.
Fantasy football players, Madden players and football freaks take a break for a minute and check this out.
Brett Favre and his now 7-3 NY Jets proved to be a possible playoff contender today in the win against the "Dynasty" NE Patriots. I've always been a fan of Brett Favre. but his playing for my team's ultimate rival, the GB Packers, kind of made it hard ta root for him during most of his career. Now, I finally get ta wear both a Winfield jersey AND a Favre jersey without catchin hell from folks.
'Course, now the Pack are kicking themselves, as they fall ta third in their division (courtesy of the Vikes), and Favre's team jumps up ta first.
Despite multiple criticism of the Jets' close call, as the ol' saying goes, "A win is a win is a win." Injuries, lucky plays, bad or missed calls, and bad days are all part of the game. No exceptions, not even for the now 6-4 NE Patriots. Speaking of bad calls, a few folks threw the questionable holding play on Mike Vrabel in my face, saying it cost the game.
Lemme clarify; the refs made the wrong call, but it was a penalty; he was beyond five yards and was still jamming the receiver, which is illegal contact, hence, a five-yard penalty and an automatic 1st down. Check the highlights yourself. The Pats lost the game fair and square, and should accept the fact they couldn't sweep their rivals AGAIN this year (boo hoo, you're still a playoff contender)
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Bill Belichick and his Pats; anyone who wins three Super Bowls in four years deserves his praise. However, it's clear the Pats thrive because of a system led by the league's best head coach. Even without Brady, back up QB Casell managed to get 400 total yards (62 of those yards rushing) along with a few TDs through the air, and no interceptions. Clearly the main reason for their success lies in Belichick.
Every Pats Fan will call me an idiot, but hear me out.
Have you noticed how Former Pats players in the NFL aren't doing so hot, now that they're playing for other teams? Sure, a few went ta low potential teams, but some went ta playoff-contending teams with an already impressive roster. A prime example of this would be NY Jets cornerback Ty Law.
People used ta compare this guy ta a stout Deion Sanders. Now? Well, as we clearly saw in this match up, and in his previous brief stint in Kansas City, he wasn't exactly a Pro Bowl-calibur corner. The passing yards, along with the TD that forced overtime, prove that point. I could go on, but I think the stats of other former Pats players speak louder than my own words.
Not jinxing or anything, but if Belichick were to, say, retire, or coach elsewhere, there would be no New England Patriots. Guaranteed, two of those three Super Bowl wins never would of happened, and "16-0" never would have even been mentioned in the same sentence as "Patriots". So before people blame the loss on Brady's absence, they may want ta rethink who the credit should really be administered ta, and why the Patriots aren't gasping for air in their conference with the NY Jets, Miami Dolphins, and the Buffalo Bills, who are each over .500 halfway through the season.
Oh, and one last thing; Minnesota Vikings are going to the Super Bowl. WOOT!!!
That is all; return to gaming.

11Nov 08Seriously, I can't remember the last time I've visited here, much less posted a blog.
Ever since grad day, I've been more focused on the college biz, and to stay focused, I left my Wii and my DS behind back at mi casa, while I stay in the dorms at Sac State. Yeah life is great in this city, and ya meet a whole lot of neat and interesting people down here, but I do have ta admit, I missed Gamespot a bit.
A few folks may have seen me once or twice on Wifi round' September, before I deleted all registered Wii numbers and Friend Codes, hung up the sticks, and retired from gaming.
To my amazement, I've still been receiving messages up to November. It was just today that I thought, why not come back? I've got a little bit of free time, even with my class schedule.
And of course, there are a number of interesting folk here as well.
Well, just sayin', hello all, again, and I'll see ya when I see ya. Adios.
--On a final note, though I haven't played Brawl in a while, I still will take Friend Code requests. When I will get back on Wifi, I dunno, but I still love the game.
When I get (or remember) the Friend Code, I'll let people know again.
