Okay, I know for sure Im not one of the best fighting gamers around in my area but I would like to consider myself at least one of them......somewhere. Over this weekend, that was put to the test for me. Ya see, the only fighting games I play that I really enjoy at the moment are the following:

Melty Blood Re.ACT
Guilty Gear XX #Reload
Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike
Tekken 5
Marvel vs. Capcom 2

I know for certain that I can't play MVS2 to save me so I don't even attempt to play that seriously against anyone but the other other games I play more than often that I tend to get good at them (not Tekken 5 though.....I play it a lot but I don't like it).Ya see, Im one of the good players in Tekken 5 and I do tend to beat a lot of people from time to time so I was happy when I got invited to a get-together over a persons house over this weekend. We played fighting games from night to dawn and it was fun. I got on Tekken 5 thinking that I would get somewhere with the guys I played..........I thought wrong. I didn't win not a single match....I won a round....just not a match. Yes, I got my butt served to me on a silver platter and it didn't feel good at all. It makes me think of where I stand against everyone in my area now. It was humilating to even be there at that time so I stopped playing T5 for the rest of that night. I held my own for a good long time in Guilty Gear XX #Reload though. At least I can say I was good at that. Im not certain as to where I stand in Melty Blood Re.ACT or Street Fighter 3 at the moment but I will find out one day.

Has anyone gone thru this kind of experience. If so, what was it like to you. How did you deal with it. I would really like to know. Oh well, I'll find out sooner or later I guess. Anyway, I just wanted to leave a log about this experience so that I wont forget it for myself but if anyone reads this, I wouldn't mind some input on it.
