Gamers are becoming really annoying - and I've given up on reviews.

Something I've noticed lately - and its that gamers are becoming really, really annoying. Whether it be on the Wii boards or its in System Wars .. or a review I read. Gamers are seriously becoming annoying.

System wars is just.. wow. I can't believe some of the things people say there. And the Wii board as of late has become really annoying. I cant believe I got called a "Third party FPS Wii hater" Or something - because I posted Modern Warfare Reflex Edition's IGN score in my stickied thread - instead of GameSpot's higherscore.

People need to relax and stop taking things SOOOOOO seriously. This is where my whole "I've given up on reviews" thing comes in. Lately, I've been realizing I hate reviews - I do read them occassionally - but I cannot stand IGN as a whole - and most of GameSpot's staff (save Kevin) have rather annoying writing sty1es that I'd prefer not to read.

As for reviews, I think people take them too seriously - and they view them wrong. They look at the number - and say "Well it got ___ out of 10, so it much be good/bad".

No. Read the review. Read it. The text is more important then the stupid number given. The number is absolutely meaningless. Take Assassin's Creed 2 for example. I knew I wanted that game, regardlessof scores it received. NSMBWii is the same thing. I want the game, I don't care what it scored and from where. The text in the reviews just gives me more information about the game, if I already didn't know about it.

Seriously, everyone needs to take a chill pill and stop being so serious. "Omg - site x gave this game a better review but you're only looking at what site w gave it!" blah blah blah.

Play what you want, disregard what a game 'scores' - read the review for information and google information and see if the game interests you. If it does, enjoy. If not, don't play it.

Thats it for now - Been busy with school, so I'll make a blog probably sometime during winter break.

    2. I'm addicted to my phone and texting, I send like over 2,000 a month probably. I have unlimited text to people I text however.

    3. I have a secret obsession with Lights, the artist.

    4. I'm generally into Metal music, or prog metal like protest.

    5. Despite my love for Nintendo now, I used to hate the GameCube mid-way through its life cycle and sold it for a PS2 and then regretted doing so when I turned 17.

I'm not going to System Wars anymore .. & update in life.

I'm not going to system wars anymore. I cannot stand it anymore. Besides the few posters that actually make sense (most of which are in GUFU) everyone else is really irritating and useless.

I've decided enough is enough and I don't want to deal with it. The only thing I'm going to use system wars for is catch up on any news I might have missed otherwise, since news seems to travel there the fastest. The only other place I feel that I can post and have some decent discussion is on the actual platform boards or in GUFU's board.

    Thats that ...

As for life its been hectic. School's been busy busy and this is the first time in a while that I've had a break to sit down and write a blog. I just got done this week writing three midterm's. Systems analysis and design, Microeconomics and Intro to IT Infrastructure. Most of them went well -- Not too sure how I did in Micro but we'll see. Intro to IT Infrastructure was decent, I got a 71% -- I don't know about the others.

Up next I have Business Law on Monday and Finance on the Friday (Save me!). But yeah, its been busy and not much has been going on. On the games front I'm pretty much bored of games and also I don't have much time to play games. The last thing I played was Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days -- which I haven't beat yet but I am around 70% complete, but I haven't played that for like 2 or 3 weeks now.

The only games I'm absolutely looking forward to this year are Modern Warfare 2 and more importantly, for me, Assassin's Creed 2. I cannot wait for AC2, since I absolutely loved the first and I like most of the work Ubisoft Montreal does (Go Canadian game development!).

I did want New Super Mario Bros Wii but I figure I can always pick it up later. Then in January I've got No More Heroes 2 on my radar and eventually in 2010 Metroid: Other M and Super Mario Galaxy 2 -- and maybe sometime down the line I'll pick up either BioShock 2 or Mass Effect 2, though those are games I can live without for a while.

Anyway it's been busy and I haven't made a blog for a while so I thought I'd go ahead and make one. Enjoy. Have a good weekend.
