    Zebra flavor is my favorite.

Bad jelly: my Windows is tripping again! It just yesterday returned from repairs.. I have no idea why this is happening.

Also, I was tagged by Mufujifi. More on that later.

    Good jelly: stuff!

First of all, Estpolis (the Lufia DS remake) got an official site and a trailer! So much hype over that, the game's looking really good.

Also, the next Layton game was revealed (whoa, that was quick)! It's titled Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, but otherwise there's no info on the game. However, the title refers to the mask worn by the new villain Death Call in Devil's Flute, so it's clearly continuing from the previous one. Also, a second Layton movie is underway! I just wish we'd get the third one here soon.. x.x'

Oh, almost forgot! Check out this new Character Trailer for Super Street Fighter IV -- it shows ALL the new characters in one clip! Well, maybe not all of 'em, but at least two new ones.

Now, what have I been gaming? Well, I downloaded Gravity Crash's demo and fell in love. I'll definitely get the full game at some point. Also, even though I'm an FPS hater, I've been enjoying the Bad Company 2 closed beta. It's surprisingly fun, you know. Massive maps and lengthy matches. There are a few flaws, but hey, it's still just in beta state.

A friend of mine lent me Valkyria Chronicles recently, but thanks to the exam week, I won't have time to play it in a while. Also, another friend lent me Siren: Blood Curse, which I'm really eager to try out as soon as I have the time.

Okay, so.. With my exam week starting and my Windows going down AGAIN, I won't be around that much. I'll try to check up on you when I can. Now for the 10 things and then I'm out!

    1. I have Stiches! As in, level up. What a lame number one, eh?

    2. I'm saving up so that I may continue my studies in Japan in a couple of years! I've got the grades, but the money's a different thing.. x.x

    3. I used to be a PS3 hater! That was during the console's first year. However, I looked into it, and reached enlightenment. To me, it offers more than the 360. However, I'm as far from a fanboy as you can possibly imagine.

    4. In my life, I've had the priviledge to enjoy a psychotic disorder! Hoooowever, I like to think I'm all cured now. Well, so what if I'm still manic-depressive? The manic parts are fun.

    5. I like olives.

    6. I.. can't come up with anything else. 6 is all you can have. Hell, I don't think my life even includes 10 separate factors.

That's all, kids! Now, I'll tag.. that newspaper over there. Tell me 10 things I don't know, newspaper!

..Thought so. Ha. Why? Because I know everything.

Bye, and enjoy Thanksgiving.. Mega Man styIe!

Remember my latest blog, where I mentioned a mysterious countdown? I stated: "..I'm guessing it's .hack or Digimon", and guess what!? Well, if you're not blind or unconscious after noticing the mutant octopus behind ya, you must know by now that it indeed was the last option! Errr, whee? It's titled Digimon Stories: Lost Evolution. Damn, the officialsite's font is hard to read. Explains the RPG_LOST in the URL, though.

Other stuff happening this week: new FFXIII trailer coming this Wednesday! It's the last one before JP release, and thus probably the last Japanese one. Also this week, a new (presumably much-liked) character will be revealed for Super SFIV. Only one (half of a) screenshot has been released, and it shows Chun Li being kicked in the face by a mystery character. I'm not gonna get SSFIV (as you probably know), but I have my fingers crossed for a Third Strike character. I mained Q and Twelve in that one, you know. I'm pretty sure it'll be a more popular character, and if you ever wacthed Arcadia Cup's Tougeki Super Battle Opera 07, you know which character's horribly overused. ..Man, that left a scar.

What else.. Oh! This Tuesday (that's tomorrow) there'll be a special thingy at PSN. Instead of the usual Thursday, Gravity Crash will be released on PSN US & EU tomorrow. Yay! I'm gonna get the game as soon as I have the money for it.. Ah, it looked so awesome, retro and psychedelic. Who else's getting it?

Okay, moving on! What's been happening in my life? Well, first of all, my computer's coming back tomowwow! Wippee! My activity level shall become.. reasonably high. I'm so looking forward to that.

How's the gaming part going along, then? Well, last Saturday a friend of mine was bored, and his PS3 was at his brother's place. Well, I brought my PS3 along with some games (in addition to the ones he had at his place) and got ready for a gaming spree. We started with some Tekken 6 matches. He's gotten into the semifinals of two Scandinavian tourneys (while I've only reached that high in one x.x') with hisLaw and Feng. Lucky for me, he was rusty after a year's break. Ooh, speaking of which-- I got my first Platinum a while back, and that was from Tekken! Congrats to me! Anyhow, after that I got to try some Uncharted 2 online (haven't even finished the first one myself), which was surprisingly addictive. I got to lv7 in no time, and got many bonuses, mostly for killing enemies with melee attacks (about 90% of 'em ).

It was around 8 pm when we decided to give RE5 a whirl. You may know how big of a hater I was -- honestly, there was simply no horror anymore and way too much weight had been put on co-op. The single player mode was bound to suck. Well, I hadn't obviously played the co-op. We had been playing for a while, and I sleepily glanced at the clock. Whoops, it was 7 AM. I knew then that I had become an addict. Yup. So, we kept playing.

It was around 12.30 pm when we beat the last boss and let out a sigh of relief. Seriously, we had beaten a relatively long game overnight and without sleeping, eating or drinking at that. x.x But man, was that awesome or what!? I might just get the game because of this, you know! Best weekend of the week for sure, even though my eyes were bleeding.

Well kids, that's that. Now I've got a presentation on schizophrenia to finish, but I'll go through your blogs tomorrow on my good ol' trusty working computer. Bye!

No More Heroes. Coming soon to a PS3/360 near you!! THE HYPE'S TOO MUCH!! I think I'm gonna have a cardiac arrest. Oh, and waiter, make sure it's got a lot of ketchup on it. Thanks.

Feb 25th, No More Heroes will finally get its anticipated HD remake. Yes, it's a remake, so nothing actually new. HOWEVER, there will be awesome HD graphics and a new mode, "Super Sweet Mode", where all characters wear rather skimpy outfits. Oooooooo. Master Goichi, have I ever told you that SWEET BEJEBUS YOU ARE AWESOME. Sort of like Kojima, but really weird. Hooray for no more Wiimote!

Also, 3D Dot Game Heroes (one of my most hyped games of the year) is getting an English release in May, 2010. YES!! How awesome is that? Now I don't have to import it and fight with the (few) kanji that you can find in the game. The hype.. won't.. stop!! Feeling.. retro..

Speaking of retro, Lufia II (if you're a friend of really old JRPGs. you know it) is being remade on the DS! This time around it'll have 3D graphics and goes under the name of Estpolis. That's so awesome, can't wait! Now, if we'd just get SaGa 2 DS here..

Last but not least, do you remember that weird "RPG_LOST" teaser site? Well, there's some more teasing to be found. The site has 3 phrases rolling about: "That RPG will return", "Solve a lost mystery", and "A new adventure". I wonder what Namco Bandai means by that? ..I'm guessing it's .hack or Digimon. Please be a HD.hack! The countdown will stop on the 21st, when the game's finally revealed. Hoping for a Famitsu leak before that..

That's the news for now. And how do I fare? Well, I'm doing pretty good. Other than oversleeping a lot, school's going fine too. My folks are busy looking for Christmas presents (why so early!?) and I'm busy.. uh.. playing Tekken. I also hope Braid will be released on the European PSN soon. Thinking of importing GoW Collection, by the way.. Should I import that or Demon's Souls? Also, I'm actually getting my Bayonetta hype back..

Oh, and I downloaded Toro Station Weekly off the JP Store. Now that Mainichi Issho's over (), a weekly news update servicewith Toro and Kuro has launched. It's free todownload and use, and you get to transport your stuff from Mainichi Issho overto Weekly. If you want TWO updates a week and their new "home" to build up more quickly, pay 800 yen a month and you've got it. The weird thing is, I'm actually considering it..

I'm also playing Phantasy Star 0 on my DS like no tomorrow! That game's dangerously addicting, I tell ya. It's impossible to lower your DS while playing it! I'm pretty far in the story with my "main" character. I shall give impressions in the next blog, as this would be just too long. Anyways, if you've got a DS, get this game!

My computer was sent to repairs yesterday, and it should be back in a couple of weeks. The whole thing just collapsed suddenly. Blegh.

Aaaaanyways, this was just an update on stuff. I wanted to express my hype. I'll check your blogs after I finish this short essay, and then.. anyone up for a quick match of Tekken or some questing in Phantasy Star?

  • 12Nov 09

Anyhow, how are the pancakes? And the zebra? DON'T YOU DARE TO LEAVE YOUR ZEBRA ON THE PLATE, YOUNG FELLA!

Oh, sorry, I didn't notice you there. I was just, uh, talking to my ferret. I'm not keeping anyone in the basement or anything. No, sir. Want some pancake?

So yeah. Still can't enjoy my working Internet connection (aside from gaming online, which I do pretty rarely), since my computer's totally crapped. Luckily I can use my stepdad's computer to come to GS, though. So, expect more activity from me!

    STOP TEASING MEEEEH!!

Remember the mysterious Namco Bandai's "Project K" teaser site? Well, the game was revealed yesterday. Guess what it is? Here's a hint:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    KERORO RPG.

YES!! The game's for the DS and is made by the Tales team -- and it can be seen, as the game uses the battle system of the Tales series!! Not only that, but they've modified it so that you can do air combos now! The game's in 2D, which means more beautiful sprite art, just like in previous Keroro (platforming) games! OH, JOY!! You can check the trailer over here, and don't forget the official site! It doesn't have that much content yet, but it will certainly be added when the game's development is further. Right now, it's 60% complete! Can'twaitcan'twaitcan'twait. To celebrate, I went and bought the newest volume of Sgt. Frog. Woot! Its full name is Keroro RPG: The Pirate, The Warrior and The Knight, and it's scheduled for a 2010 release. So much hype.

Right after the revealing of Project K, Namco Bandai put up ANOTHER teaser site. The URL says RPG_LOST, which doesn't really help. 9 days from now, the game will be revealed at the site.

EVEN MORE (oh God, it DID become a fashion after all..) countdown sites coming up! Nippon Ichi has put up a Prinny (the game it promotes is kinda obvious, huh?) countdown. On Friday the 13th, a 1000-hour countdown will start, and every hour one Prinny will tell something informative. That.. Requires a lot of dedication to keep up with. x.x But fear not, for I am the ultimate NIS fan! Mwahahahaha. Ha. No. I'm so not keeping up with that. Or am I? "Prepares snacks"

Hmm.. Speaking of revelations, what do you think tomorrow's big FFXIII announcement is? I'm really looking forward to it. I hope it's not just another Collector's Edition announcement.. Blegh.

    How I'm doing

Tomorrow, I'm also going to watch Paranormal Activity's Finnish movie premiere! Any of you folks thinking of going to see it? I LOVED Blair Witch, so this might be the first actually creepy horror movie from Hollywood in quite a while.

Gamewise, I've mostly been playing Tekken 6 and Wipeout HD. Both games are amazing, and despite not playing online that often, getting my Internet finally up has boosted my hype for the games. Speaking of Tekken, the fighting game weekend was awesome. We bought whole liters of energy drink named SPAM and played Tekken 90% of the time, leaving Guilty Gear and others in the background. I'm also surprisingly becoming good with Bob. Had some really epic matches there!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I also got Phantasy Star Zero for the DS! Anyone else got it? I'd like to try out the much praised online mode! I've played the story mode for a few hours, and man is it addicting! Much recommended to DS owners, and further impressions on it in my next blog! =^_^= PM me for my friend code!

But yeah, I guess that's all for now. I'll go buy some groceries and check your blogs once I get back! Laters!

  • 5Nov 09

Man, oh man. I wake up in the morning, perform my morning rituals (nothing can beat arm-wrestling a T-Rex at 6 AM) and look outta the window. And there it is. SNOW. The streets were covered with bright matter, causing my eyes to burn. I then ran outside and rubbed this matter in them, causing them to cease their fiery revolt and apple hands. I hate snow, man. I really do. Don't you? Well, no matter, now it's ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Another thing that's all over the place is a hot topic: da piggy illness. Looks like I can't enjoy my daily pig gut baths for some time.. My school currently has the most confirmed cases of swine flu in the whole capital city, with nearly 200 students absent with it. That's.. a lot. And the Gov't is late with the vaccine, and the shots can't be given in a while (even though they were meant to be handed out weeks ago). My sister's got it, but she's slowly but surely starting to recover.

I decided to get Tekken 6 instead of Fallout 3. I actually found the GOTY Edition for 30 euros, but Tekken's the most fun with friends. I'm going to a friend's place for a fighting game weekend tomorrow, and we'll play it there. However, Guilty Gear wasn't released Nov. 1st in Finland, despite it being the European release date.. Oh well. I had heard lots of bad stuff of Tk6's "story" mode, but I never expected it to be as bad as it is! The Arena located within the mode is pretty nice, but the character stories have become pretty lame and there are only like 3-5 matches per character instead of the usual 8-9. Oh, and the series has seen lots of annoying final bosses, but this one takes the crown EASILY. My God, that Azazawhatevah is A POOPYHEAD.

Ah, still no Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 table for Zen Pinball. x.x' At least there's the free Brutal Legend add-on.. And a 3D Dot Game Heroes theme for my PS3.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I got Umihara Kawase Shun for the DS a while back, by the way! It's a remake of a VERY addicting cIassic platformer. There isn't much to say about it -- if you've played it, you know what the DS version is like. There are some extra options, such as a DS-exclusive control scheme and a new mode, but otherwise it's the same old extremely enjoyable gameplay. Who doesn't like flinging around with a rope?

Ooooh. Namco Bandai has released a mysterious.. teaser site.. for an upcoming project. Come on, what's this crappy little fashion that game developers follow? A week from now means a Thursday shock, which usually means Famitsu leaks a few days in advance and probably a Jump leak the weekend before. When did you become so predictable, Japanese game announcement cycle?

Anyone else hyped for 3D Dot Game Heroes!? The game was just released in Japan. It has a character creation tool that kicks a lot of behind. Seriously. People have made Solid Snake, Rorona, Cloud and all kinds of other awesome characters. From Software has also made a bunch of other characters (available for download!) as well as.. LINK. Yes, From Software (kind of) put in Link. So this is what a 3D retro Zelda could've been like..

Anyways, not only does my Internet connection malfunction, but my Windows as well. So, no updates (at least on my own computer) until I install that Windows 7. I'm off to do homework now, but I'll be sure to check your blogs during today. Later, then!

  • 28Oct 09

Hello, everyone. Having a jolly good time, are we? Oh yes we are. No wait -- we aren't. We're bored. And I'm writing this in the IT cIass. I just finished a health ed essay, so I can browse da netz for like another.. 35 minutes. What? I'm a quick writer. And you're not. Ha!

Man I'm sleepy. Had to drag myself alllll the way here in that delightful weather. And by delightful I mean horrible. And by horrible I mean OH GOD RUN IT MELTS OFF YOUR SKIN!!

What's keeping me alive right now, though, is my hype for Jump Festa and Games Japan Festa. The latter will be held Nov 14-15, while.. Jump Festa takes its time, entertaining us on Dec 19-20. The lineups for both events have been announced, and boy are they great. Some of my most anticipated DS and PSP titles mostly, plus a few multiplat action titles like Sengoku Basara 3 and such. However, Tecmo has a SECRET title to present us with at Games Japan Festa. Oooooooo. I wonder what it is! Hopefully nothing lame.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Hmm.. No way. With the latest concept art for weapons, enemies and.. uh.. costumes.. I might actually be recovering my Bayonetta hype! Even though SEGA completely ruined the "port"! Anyways, there are rumors that SEGA might be improving the game for its Western release. Sounds pretty farfetched to me, but hey, I can always hope.

Speaking of hopeful hype, new gameplay and a hands-on of Dementium II have hit! Woot! Dementium was probably the eeriest DS horror game since Nanashi no Game. Can't wait to see more, and I'm happy they're this far with the development.

Sooo. DSi. Have ya heard the full name, announced by Nintendo? Nintendo DSi Big Screen, also known as DSi BS! Man, that's a fitting name. Seriously, Ninty, stop upgrading your consoles constantly (Sony does that enough) and make a new console for a change! Stuff like this is not cool.

Kojima has written a followup to his "promise" of Zone of the Enders 3, by the way! His promise blog got gazellion views.. *tries to imagine a gazellion* ..Wow, now I know why lions don't have horns. Anyways, and uh, people from Kojima Productions have been asking when he's gonna make it. In reply, he said "Please wait a little more" in a freaking cool fashion. Because, seriously, could Kojima get ANY MORE COOLER!?

I got Hero's Saga Laevatein Tactics and Nostalgia for the DS, by the way! You may look forward to my impressions in the near future. Oh, I also got Wipeout HD, been playing it for a while and it's just simply awesome. More on that in my next blawggie as well.

Yeah, err.. Yeah. My cIass is nearly finished, but I should be able to go through a few blogs. While you're waiting, check out this blazin' new Opening Trailer for none other than BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. Might actually get me back to BB, this one.

    Laters!

  • 22Oct 09

Hiya. It's your buddy, Khezschnik here. But don't call me that, or I'll rip a demonic baby-spawning hole in the ground. Oh yes. I'm not joking.

I still don't have a working Internet connection at my place. So boring. In this blog, I'll have to use a category system thingy.

Sooo. How's it goin'? I seem to be catching a cold.. Again. This is the third time within a month! x.x I hope it won't develop into a tough one.. Again, again. As if that's not enough, the grand ball was horrible. Aside from dancing, there was only SingStar, board games and horribly overpriced lemonade. I'll just skip it next year, seriously. Too much traumas.

    Randomnessisityism

Changed my avatar, as you may have noticed. From an orange thingy to another, this time it's Pyro Jack. Since he's the very start of the celebration of Halloween and an awesome character in a great RPG series, I thought he's a good pick. Now, Jack, how about you lend me a lantern of that awesome Magic stat!?

I don't really celebrate Halloween, though. It's not that big of a thing and it forces you to choose between giving away your candy and getting bombed with eggs. Pretty annoying if you ask me. However, I did order a couple of Halloween-themed goods..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I only got Kuro, since I already have Toro in a summer festival costume. Oh, the pumpkin's removable. Revoltech makes pretty great figurines, and I'm a huge fan of Toro and Kuro, as you probably know. I wonder if I have to get Christmas editions soon.. Oh, I also got this:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Yup. Well, he's not that Halloween-themed, being spooky around the year and all. Brook's my favorite character in One Piece (which is pretty much the only ongoing anime I watch; Sgt. Frog I only do as manga, after all). He's just so awesome! This figure's pretty small, and of the "construct it yourself" kind. Until a huge, high-quality Brook statue is released, I'll just worship this one. Man, I'm such a geek. But then again, dinosaurs are cool as heck.

    Games

So, I've been playing quite a few games. I finished Brutal Legend (which was awesoooooome!) and I totally give it a 9.5. It's really near a perfect game, having been built around metal and all. The only minuses are its short length and somewhat kersnatchylistic textures. Other than minor visual and.. spatial.. time-related.. whatevery issues, one of the best games of the year.

On the DS, I tried out A Witch's Tale, which was a huge disappointment. Unlike I expected from Nippon Ichi, the story's clichéd and the battle system boring. It was boring but playable, if you don't happen to have any better games. Same goes for the Wizard of Oz. Well, the battle system is somewhat intuitive, but the story's not interesting enough to keep you.. well, concentrated. It's different from the original, in case you were about to say that the story's not boring. But yeah, it was okay.

Right now, other than going through Ninja Gaiden and Brutal Legend in loops, I'm playing Shounen Sunday x Shounen Magazine: White Comic on the DS. Don't know it? Oh you crazy parrotmonkeys, Shounen Sunday and Magazine are the biggest shounen manga mags after Jump. Conan and Zetsubou Sensei, for example, are "theirs". White Comic's an RPG with the greatest characters from Sunday and Magazine. Sure, the story's really lame and is just an excuse for so many ass-kicking characters to appear in one place, much like Jump Ultimate Stars' story mode. The battle system is nice and the dialogue is hilarious. It does have a little kanji, but not too much so that I can understand about 90% of it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

A strange friendship, huh? Conan appears in the very beginning to explain stuff and isn't seen again until further in the story. There are characters from hundreds of series. I give it a 9 for its excellency, with only the story as a grief. Only for Japanese speakers, mind you.

Now, the final issue. Tekken 6 or Fallout 3? I can afford only one of these. I need to get GGXXAC+ on Nov. 1 (its Euro release date), and that can't happen without.. money. So, a fighting heaven with Tekken and Guilty Gear or RPG goodness plus bloody pixel badassness?

That's it, I guess. Sorry for such a long blog (took me 2 sessions on separate days to write!). I'll see ya around and check your blogs asap. Hail to the llama box, and don't forget to hype Henry's NMH playable debut and the new Beatmania! So much hype, all over me. Oh yes. Rub it gooood.

  • 16Oct 09

This is Brutal Guitar Ninja HavQ speaking. Remember me? Of course you do, because I DON'T.

Anyways, it sure has been long since I last wrote here. Yup. And unlike I was expecting, I haven't been able to get my Internet up. I need one of those watchabashemandplugitins. And mine's late.

This will be a short update. I'm leaving to buy a pair of nice pants in a minute. There's a grand ball at school next week, and I only have baggy pants. Those are a no-no, no? Yes, they are. Goddamn. When I take over the world, I'll make dress codes illegal! That, and raisins.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ahh, Google autofiller. Or whatever it's called. Anyways, that thing really works.

Kojima announced Zone of the Enders 3 by the way. Well, not really -- he promised there'll be one, but didn't say when. Might be a couple of years from now, since the development hasn't even been started. But it's great to know that Kojima hasn't given up on the series.

I'm currently hyping Hokuto Musou and Ar Tonelico III, and can't wait to see more of them! Can I hear ATATATATATATA WHA-CHOO!? Such excellency!

I'm still actively playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. It's a shame I don't have a working Internet connection yet, as I can't experience the Team Missions. Well, of course, I can do them with an AI partner, but that... is just dumb. x.x Still, there's a lot of stuff to enjoy in the game. Recommended for any fan of hacking and slashing.

I got Brutal Legend on its European release date. That was yesterday. I've mostly been looking around for hidden stuff and enjoying the soundtrack and vast world. It's an excellent, rocking game so far, and I'm positive it'll stay as such until the very end. I was supposed to get the Tenacious D guitar for preordering, but it looks like the PS3 version's code is only valid in the US.. So no guitar for me. Oh well, I don't like ingame preorder extras anyways. I'm against them, actually. But as a huge fan of Tenacious D, I might've enjoyed this one.. On the other hand, it doesn't really do anything; it's a simple skin instead of something that'd upgrade your guitar (aside from its AWESOMENESS)!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Well, I guess that's all. SonicHomeboy, please have a liiiittle more patience. I'll do it the second I'm able to. And to anyone interested in 3D Dot Game Heroes: a few new modes have been announced. Bye! Gonna get me some sweet pants now.

  • 5Oct 09

    Hello again, Huberts!

Again, at a friend's place. It's, uh.. 1:20 AM right now. I don't have an exam tomorrow, so it's a day off. I've been pretty busy lately, so forgive me for not checking your blogs. That should change by the end of the week, though. Until that, I can only provide you somewhat small updates.

So, my copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 finally arrived today! Man, have I been waiting.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    Smexy, ja?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Sneaky ninja, hidden extras -- the excellency within.

Haven't gotten that into it yet (just got the bow, which is really early in the game), but this far it's amazing. The graphics are great, the controls are smooth, the crazy ninja action blows my mind and so on. Other than cutscenes, I haven't noticed any screentearing, even though IGN's review mentioned it multiple times. The camera can be annoying, but you can fix it by pushing a single button. It's a slight shame that the gore was cut down a lot, but the hacking and slashing is extremely enjoyable nevertheless. It's great that you can also record your own ninja skillz and show 'em off. The only really negative thing about the game is the lack of local co-op. It would be so fun to play with a friend in the same room, but no, both have to have a PS3 and an Internet connection. Which I still don't, by the way! I should get it up and running by early next week. Then, I'll finally be able to download Brutal Legend's demo! Anyways, the soundtrack and bonus booklet are nice and solid extras, even though the "mini strategy guide" doesn't help you after the first chapter..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Now that I'm in the Ninja Gaiden mode, Zen Studios uploaded a "teaser" pic onto their site. Zen Pinball logo with Ryu and Ayane.. HMM, WHAT COULD IT BE? Anyways, I'm so getting the table as soon as it's released! I just love Zen Pinball.

Last but not least, Katamari Forever has hit European shelves. I might just get it so that I can get the most out of the awesome series! And guess what? It's only 45 euros! That's pretty cheap on the Finnish scale. I might even afford it! Still, the purchase may have to wait until I'm done with Ninja Gaiden and Brutal Legend. I've got enough gaming goodness for now.

..Man, rain and freezing wind almost 3 days straight.. The climate here is so effed. Can't go outside without having to fear for one's life.

Oh well, that's all this time! I'll truly "activate" myself by the end of the week, so that's when I'll read through aaalll your blogs and my PMs (and finally answer them, haha)! See ya later, then!

Yo, bros. And sises. Sises? Oh, whatever.

This is a short update. I'm at a friend's place right now, writing this thingy here.

Soooo, Ninja Gaiden hasn't come yet. I added it to my Now Playing because I can't do it when it really arrives. Why? Well, I finished unpacking stuff in mah new place, but there's no Internet connection yet. I'm so sad I can't download Brutal Legend's demo. I'm sooooooo hyped for it.

    Hope NGS2 comes soon.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Anyways, a short newscast here. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift's second (and last) new playable character is Hazama, who certainly has a different move list. Also, the character art is all new. I preferred the old art, but oh well.

Also, a 3D Dot Game Heroes FAQ was put up on the official site. Now we know stuff like there's no online (YES!!), no multiplayer and no 360 version (as in ever). There's also no voice acting. There's some kanji instead of just kana, so I might have difficulties reading it.. Maybe I can just cross my fingers and hope for a localization.

Then, some horrible news. Bayonetta's first trials are out in Japan, and many sites have put up hands-on impressions. Remember how hyped I was for it? Well, not anymore. It turns out that thanks to having been developed for the 360 and then being ported onto the PS3, the PS3 version has clear flaws, such as low resolution, screentearing and bugs. It even says "Converted by SEGA" in the PS3 version's start screen! That is so annoying.. Way to go, peeps. Great job.

Anyways, that's it for now. I'll let you know my (late) NGS2 impressions once I finally get it. Now I'm off to try out ODST. I might have some time to check sum o' yo' blo'gs later, but we'll see. Oh, and SonicHomeboy -- I'll get on the SFIV thingy ASAP!

    Bye.

    Is that not LEMON!?

Anyways, here I am, with another blog. Yes, again. I just can't stand a week without writing a blog, unlike a while back. Well, next period I'll have so many courses, I won't have time to log in anyways..

In any case, I just got an e-mail stating that my Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 has shipped! Wooh! It should be here next week. I hope. I sure can't wait!

Also, tomorrow's the release date of a very anticipated DS game! What? KHDays? Oh, you're forgetting that I cleared it when it came out in Japan. 100%, at that. The game I'm talking about is The Wizard of Oz: Beyond The Yellow Brick Road. It's a Dragon Quest-ish RPG by Xseed, in case you didn't know. But yeah, that tomorrow as well!

Err, then the news. Capcom opened a teaser site for the SFIV sequel they mentioned a couple o'weeks back. Mysterious, ja? Well, no need for teasing, since the cat's out of the bag already. It's Super Street Fighter IV, and it'll feature 10 additional characters not sold as DLC. I have to say though that SFIV messed up the fighting game community pretty badly, and there's no way to reverse that. Even with the help of Mr. T..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    Hawk.

So yeah. I'm not getting that one, that's for sure. SFIV brought upon us the exodus of fighting games. So many scrubs and noobs entering fighting games through the turtling-based SFIV, driving many experienced players (BlazBlue, in my case) away in fear of further ruination of the sacred genre. Don't get me wrong; it's fun with friends. It just ruined the online community.

BUT! Enough of that. Get SSFIV if you want to.

One last thing before I go. Once again, I'm bored and stuff. So, I've been thinking of yet another avatar change! Time to vote, y'all!

Should I keep Don Patch? Or possibly have Patty represent my ToV PS3 port hype? Or would a familiar face -- er, mask -- from Taiko no Tatsujin fit?

Cast your vote, should you feel up to it.

Anyways, I'm off to bed. Got a lot to pack and memorize. BLOG CLIMAX!!

Hello, Othello. And you, weird dude in the back. And the fake giraffe too. Hi.

How's your TGS? Mine's been, uh.. Okay, I guess. After the first day, things've been calming down a bit. But what the hell, why no Yakuza 3 Western release date!? I was totally looking forward to that! And no Persona 5, either.. Oh well, I still have faith in it, no matter how long the announcement's stalled!

So, the biggest things since my last blog have probably been all those Dead Rising 2 trailers and the Tales stage. Well.. I was also expecting a Western release date for ToV, but I was wrong. The only thing announced was that there'll be some downloadable costumes from the movie. There was also some Graces stuff, but more of ToG will come tomorrow, on the last day of TGS. I really hope TGS has a thing or two up its sleeve before it ends..

For DS gamers, some awesome trailers that surely caught my eye: Again, Layton 4, Ninokuni and Ghost Trick. Only Layton's is supernew, the other three were released yesterday. I'm really excited for all four titles!

Hmm.. This kinda piqued my interest as well. Sure, the controls seem to be incredibly crappy, but it may have some potential. I still prefer my regular controller over any motion thingy. Seriously, you won't see me jumping around in front of the TV.

Oh well. I haven't really played Pokemon Soul Silver. I did get my level 1 Dialga (now lv17) with the event Arceus a friend lent me, but I haven't had the strength to progress in the story.. Scribblenauts I grew kinda bored of in the 9th world, and figured out a truly gamebreaking "cheat". It seems someone else figured it out before me, and you can see his vid here. Kinda killed the game for me, so don't watch it if you're really into Scribblenauts. x.x

Oh, by the way, my local GameStop has this awesome campaign that should you bring two games and one euro, you'll get a brand new game for the same console. So, I traded in LBP and SFIV (I'll re-buy LBP sometime in GOTY form), and preordered Brutal Legend. Got it basically for free! Can't wait to get it, but before that I'll get my ninja gear on.. What does that equal, then? Well..

I guess that's about it. I'll see ya around, but I'm kinda busy this weekend. And I'm moving next week (which is also the exam week), so I'll also be busy packing and studying. Sooo, uhh. Bye.

  • 24Sep 09

Because I sure do. And I don't regret it a bit.

So!! It's TGS TIME!! Man, have I been waiting for this day to finally come. I almost sold my soul in exchange for a time machine, but that was a week ago so I figured I'd just wait a while.

This is actually gonna be a short blog for once! I'll just present my highlights SO FAR and you do the same in the comments, and maybe present some opinions about mine. Good? Good. BRING IN THE LIONS!!

First of all, Sony's little marketing conference. They announced a sequel for White Knight Chronicles. Cool, cool, I'd just like to finally try the first one out myself. Or not. Maybe, if I can find it cheap. They also announced Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition. It's played with the Magic Deewldo, kinda like RE4 Wiimake. It also features a bunch of extras and some additional stuff in gameplay and story. I'm a bit worried, though -- Sony said that they'll make the Wand into the standard controller, which I certainly DO NOT WANT!! It's probably fun to play some games with, but I wanna stick to regular controllers. Along with RE5, a new motion-supporting Ape Escape was announced. Should be fun. Then there was the FFXIII+250GBPS3 bundle, but I won't get into that.

Then, Nippon Ichi's little briefing. Yes yes, Zettai Hero Something and Disgaea Infinity, old news, but Atelier Rorona's Western release date was finally announced! It'll be coming here next summer. Yes, it seems like a long wait, but there'll be so many excellent games to waste time on that you won't even notice the time passing.

Man, I'm sad we Europeans must wait for 2010 to experience the GoW III demo.. And still no Persona 5.

Oh well. Some last bits: BlazBlue: Continuum Shift was announced. It'll feature at least one extra character, Tsubaki, who's playable. I wonder if she's in the European edition by the time it's released.. Well, it looks like BB's taking the GG path and will make a dozen editions of one game.

Okay, that should be it. Check out the trailers for Final Fantasy XIV, NMH2: Desperate Struggle, Bayonetta and Yakuza 4, if you haven't already. And with that, I'm off to favorite 30 more TGS vids over at YouTube! Oh, and here's a little vid of The Last Guardian. I giggled.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

  • 21Sep 09

Oh man, the levels are getting hard in Scribblenauts world 7.. x.x Still, it's so much fun, I just can't stop!!

Anyways, how are you, my yellowish sea urchins? Oh, you're not urchins? Oh, don't be modest. And me? Well..

I've been watching some PS3 Vesperia vids. Man, I'm so hyped for this game, I really hope they'd announce a Western release date soon. I also saw THIS. GOD, how I wish they'd bring that to the West! I'm the biggest Keroro fan around, PLUS I've pretty much grown up playing Tales games.. Please, NBGI!!

Well, at least one thing they're bringing to the West is Yakuza 3!! It's being localized for the States and Europe, so hopefully we'll get it early next year! I'm really excited for it.

Sooo, did you check out this year's JAMMA? ..Whuh, you don't know what it is? Silly walrusmen, it's a two-day event featuring new arcade games! Okay, this year's event was a bit.. lame. Yes. Lame describes the lameness well. The only title I found somewhat interesting was King of Fighters: Sky Stage, which is a vertical shmup with quite a bit of danmaku. Also known as bullet hell, alias curtain fire. Yup. Much of the game wasn't shown at the show, though. Then there was Tetris Dekaris. It's your regular Tetris with a few new rules, bigger blocks and even bigger balls! Joysticks, I mean. Oh, whatever, see the pic. You can't miss it.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Check those sticks out! Looks pretty fun, though! If you wanna see more pictures of the hoste--err, the GAME, check this article out.

Now to a matter I haven't mentioned in my blog in a loooooong while: anime! Yesterday, I started watching an anime series for the first time this year, after Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei! I found this supercute opening song on YouTube, and had to know what series it's from. Turns out it's a rather popular series, Bakemonogatari. So far it's been really good! You should check it out if you're bored, and that's a lot when coming from me; I choose my series very carefully and only watch a few per year!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Now that I'm on the subject, the famous series Crayon Shinchan's author, Yoshďto Usui, has passed away. He fell of a cliff while mountain hiking. It's a real shame, even though I've never been a fan of Shin-chan. Usui created a legend that'll still live on in the Japanese culture.

Enough of this mourning stuff, though! I should be off to school, so have a good day, y'all! I'll read your blogs when I return from the goats. School. Also, here's a little mystery for you to solve: there's a SEEEECRET in Konami's TGS shirt, below (hint, hint). Can you find it?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    Later!

  • 18Sep 09

Guess who's got a working PC!? How cool is that!?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Well, not THAT cool for sure. But still cool. Got it all fixed up! Happy day!

So, uh, everyone excited for TGS? I sure am. No that the full game list (other than the titles that'll be announced) has been revealed, my hype's gone way up!

Today, a friend of mine told me he could bring Batman to school next Monday and let me borrow it! Sounds great, considering that I've always wanted to try it out, yet I'm not a fan big enough to buy the game.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

No, not that Batman! Arkham Asylum, of course. Yup. Looking forward to that.

So, Vesperia had its Japanese release a while ago! I'm really looking forward to a potential US release announcement. There have been DOZENS of comparisons, and surprisingly enough, the PS3 comes out on top for pretty much the first time ever. The load times are shorter and the graphics are more honed. Anyways, I'm not a fan of basically useless comparisons, so I'll shut my yap about that. But I checked ToV's DLC section on the Japanese Store, and I saw KERORO GUNSOU DLC!! Yes! At the price of 500 yen. It also reads "Karoru" in kana, so I wonder if it's a costume for him. NBGI, I'm begging you--bring it to the West!

I also downloaded Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2's demo from the JP Store, and man is it huge or what!? I mean, it's like a 2-hour demo! You get to experience nearly all elements of gameplay, including THIS! Get the demo if you've got a JP account.

More stuff about PSN, but now we're moving to the disappointing parts. I stayed up late and refreshed over and over and over and over and over and over again in hope of the PSN update that would bring Brütal Legend's demo with it. Finally, I saw new titles there, but among them.. NO DEMO. WHAT THE HELL!? Sony'd better have a really good explanation for this crap. They really let me down on this one.

More disappointments coming up! Got Bleach: The 3rd Phantom. Wow.. That's got to be the lamest SRPG I've played in a LONG time. Seriously. Okay, I'll be honest--I've never watched a single Bleach episode in my life, and I've only read the first chapter. Maybe fans will like it. Maybe. I just.. Ugh. No.

Another game I got is Idolmaster: Dearly Stars for the DS! It's actually pretty good. Not in a lonely, sad way, but in terms of humor and such. And it's got some catchy J-pop songs such as Shiny Smile, Go My Way and Hello! Goddamn, you wouldn't guess I'm a metalhead from the way I write about these things. But yeah, it's nice.

Pokémon I haven't played much. In fact--not a bit since my last blog. Not like it's not good, but I've had so many other games to try out that Pokémon's kinda moved into the background, silently weeping the lost attention. No, but really, I'll get back to this weekend. Maybe I'll try and make my Togepi happy with this trick.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Anyways, that's all this time! I'll check your blogs once I come back from a friend's place, now that I've got a working computer and all. Later!

  • 15Sep 09

Hello, everyone. I'm at school as I write this blog. Actually, I'm in class. The computer class, actually, where the psychology teacher brought us. We had to write an essay about one subject out of five options. Mine was titled Freud vs Jesus, but.. that's not the point here. I finished a bit early, so I've got.. 17 minutes before the class ends to enjoy the world of za Intarwebz. Might have time to comment on some of you guys' blogs, too, but we'll see.

Y'all had a crazy PAX, ja? I didn't attend, obviously, but all those news and playable demos.. Wowies! Got so much hype out of that. Also, what are your reactions to Star Ocean 4's PS3 announcement (finally!)? The official release date is "International Feb 2010", which most probably means that it'll come out in the US at the same time. It features minor tweaks in graphics and gameplay as well as the option to choose the spoken language. Other info hasn't been given yet.

Anyways, my PC was finally taken in for la repairs, and it should be back in a week! A little waiting won't hurt after being without a computer this long.

Oh, I finished Bowser's Inside Story! That was one freaking awesome game, you should definitely get it if you have a DS. I won't spoil anything for ya, though!

So, heard about 3D Dot Game Heroes? I'm superhyped for this one! It's exclusively for the PS3 and is on Blu-Ray. I love the styIe and the little bits of gameplay shown in the trailer. This is basically a retro Zelda for PS3! Can't wait for a Western release (confirmed but not dated)! It's being developed by From Software, which also makes Armored Core games, for example! Hype GET! I also finally have the money for Brütal Legend and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, but I've still got to save up for Tekken 6.. Luckily, I'm not in a big hurry.

Speaking of Heroes, Tatsunoko vs Capcom's official site leaked the additional characters for a moment! The 5 new characters are Tekkaman Blade, Megaman Zero, Frank West, Joe the Condor and Yatterman 2. The site was "fixed" soon after, though. Makes me sad I got the Japanese version of TvC a bit after its initial release.. Anywho, don't forget to act surprised when the roster's officially released.

In Scribblenauts, I just got to the third world. The puzzles are already getting pretty challenging, but making up original ways to solve them is so much fun. Also, Kraken is a surprisingly big help. And Giant Worm vs. God actually ended in the overgrown insect winning, who Hades (aka Death) finished off.. A Samurai can beat any other human, like a Pirate, who beats a Ninja, who beats an Assassin. Yup. Einstein equipped with shurikens can't beat anyone.

I haven't played a lot of Soul Silver, though. Just got to the fourth Gym, and my party consists of a level 1 Togepi, lv24 Quilava, lv24 Quagsire, Lv21 Gastly and a fresh lv16 Kadabra (who I won't use until he evolves via trade). No huge changes from the original Silver this far, other than a massive Battle Coliseum and a WiFi.. thingy.

That's all, and I still have a whopping 4 minutes of time! See ya around when I get the next chance to come online. Bye!

(If you haven't seen my MacGyverized DS, please check my previous blog)

Hello! I'm at a friend's place, so I thought I'd take advantage of his computer and post an update. Yet another one in such a short time. But, it stands to reason. I happen to have THREE AWESOME DS GAMES in my possession! Are you ready!? HERE WE GOOOOO~~!!

Did Someone Just Page The King Of AWESOME!?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Seriously? SCORE!! A Winner is Me! I have victory! Easy as bread sandwiches and full of DELICIOUS!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Oh come on. At least I can speak Italian, unlike Peter Griffin, who REALLY sounds like Mario in Partners in Time and Bowser's Inside Story. You should know what I mean. But yeah, this game is hilarious! Simply awesome. Anyone with a DS, get it. You need to.

Also, I got what you might call DS's LBP. It's more commonly known as Cripplenauts! Wait.. No? Scribble? You're wrong. Anyways, it's ENDLESS fun! It can be played in short periods or in long streaks without getting bored. What's more, it provides both relaxing gameplay and brain-twisting wit tests! Also, it recognizes one Finnish word! Pulla, that is. Pulla is a bun. Or any other baked thingy. Whatever. I like feeding griffins.

Aaaaaand as for Pokémon, I just beat the second gym. Yay for me! My party only consists of a Croconaw, a Gastly and a Mareep that I don't really use. But Mareep is so cuuuuuute~! Oh, and then I have the mysterious Egg I received from the Professor's assistant in Violet City's Pokémart. Still, I kinda regret not choosing Cyndaquil as my starter, as now I've already got a Water type, yet I'd like a Quagsire.. How could I forget that you get Wooper so early!? ..I might just ditch Croconaw and get mah Woop on, though. .__.

Anyways, some short impressions, huh? I don't really have time, as I'm busy playing on the side. But seriously, DUDE! Three awesome handheld games to spend time on! YES! I'm so lucky. Ask away, and you shall receive an answer regarding these titles. I've only played each for a few hours, though. Bye then!

Wow, second blog in two days. Feels.. Unnatural. Anyways, if you didn't see the blog I wrote yesterday (my PC got la blue screen), please check it out. I'm currently on a friend's computer, and the images you requested in my last blog are on my cell! So, after a quick transfer, here you go.

    Before breaking:

    http://i32.tinypic.com/157f90z.jpg

    After breaking:

    http://i28.tinypic.com/11r6m1d.jpg

    After being MacGyverized:

    http://i29.tinypic.com/2q3zm9d.jpg

Yay for tape!! And.. What's that!? Could it be..? YES! It's POKÉMON SOUL SILVER!!

Talk about timing! Off to playing that, then. Yay for SUPER EXPENSIVE express shipping! It seems to have left the store yesterday (which is weird, seeing as the release date is TODAY), and I missed the e-mail stating so. So, thanks to paying a small (well, relatively huge) extra fee, I got it on its Japanese release date!

Oh, and a friend lent me Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I'll play through that this weekend, as it's probably not that long. I also found the first Zone of the Enders and Silent Hill 2 Director's Cut used for a total of 20 euros! My ultimate boredom has completely been turned upside down in one single day! I'm actually not that bummed about my PC breaking right now.

  • 9Sep 09

I'm writing this on my Wii. Blog number 201. Didn't have much reason to celebrate in my last blog.. So yay. 200 blogs milestone.

Who would've guessed I'd ever turn my Wii on again?

    Crappy.. 1 meg.. connection..

Anyways, guess what? My DS is working. A friend of mine used DUCT TAPE to fix it. He must be the son of MacGuyver. I'll post a picture when I can. Why can't I do it now? Well, the very same day I came home with my working DS, my PC broke. Yay. Well, actually, it didn't break. I got the blue screen of death. Just like that. Yup. I should get a replacement for some time around next Tuesday.

At least I can enjoy Scribblenauts when it comes out.

Oh, I started Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty. It actually came with my (9-month-old) PS3, and I hadn't really tried it out before this horrible boredom got a grip on me. Well, I regret saying that Ratchet is lame before playing through a single game. Despite being VEEEERY short, it was good. I'll keep an eye out on Crack In Time.

Finally, I haven't had the chance to keep up with the news. Other than the FFXIII event and the new 2D Sonic game, what's up? Any info about.. anything.. is much appreciated.

That would be all. Oh, and forgive me, but I may not be able to check your blogs. I'll do my best, though, but until next Tuesday, I won't be too active.

  • 31Aug 09

..Well, Little decided to stop by.

I'm nearing the finish in Nanashi no Game. Scribblenauts and Mario & Luigi RPG 3 are both going to be released in two weeks.

And my DS breaks. To be exact, it was broken by a cat.

The cats like to chill on the tables.

I place my DS on the table when I don't use it.

    DS falls off table.

I now hold one screen in each hand.

    I'm pissed.

Also, going to school tomorrow! Woot. Hope I can still attend.

I ordered Space Raoul and Ubu Bubu: Filth from Amazon. They're comics by Jamie Smart. Yup. Now for an ad and then I'm out. Bye!

Edit: As if that's not enough.. Okamiden is a DS game. Very nice, now I really have to fix/get it fixed ASAP.
